Sheltered her entire life, Jubilee Thornton yearns to spread her wings and fly after a childhood marked by illness. Her first goal? To attract the attention of the handsome schoolteacher she’s had a crush on for years, Heath DiMarco. One fateful night, Jubilee throws caution to the wind and kisses Heath—until he pushes her away and tells her they can never be together. Heartbroken, Jubilee vows … together.
Heartbroken, Jubilee vows to forget Heath and live the life she’s always wanted. In a fit of inspiration, she creates a list of resolutions: to go skinny-dipping, to go on dates, and to finally lose her virginity.
Heath DiMarco moved to the small town of Fair Haven seven years ago to escape the memories of his past. Now a well-respected elementary school teacher, he can’t afford to have a dalliance with the youngest sister of his best friend, no matter how much that single kiss on Halloween night shook his world.
That is until Heath finds Jubilee’s list of risqué resolutions. He can’t bear the thought of her with any man but him.
Yet he knows he can’t have her himself. Instead, Heath decides he’ll vet the men Jubilee wants to date. Jubilee agrees, but only if he teaches her how to flirt—and how to kiss.
He knows he should tell her no, but he can’t resist the temptation she presents.
As desire heats to a roaring flame between them, secrets threaten everything they both hold dear. Unless they untangle themselves from a dangerous web of lies, they will face heartbreak—or be transformed by a passionate love.

I thought it was a good read.
Meh i ended up skipping chapters until the end it bored me completely!
So we have gotten to know Jubilee Thornton and Heath DiMarco a little bit in the other books of the Thornton series. I have been hoping that Jubilee would finally get a chance to live life a little bit, and she finally gets her chance. She has always had a crush on Heath, and he secretly has always been attracted to her, but his own guilty conscience and other people’s opinions have deterred him many times. Of course, the fact that he is friends with the Thornton brothers, and the fact that he has some secrets from his past that he doesn’t wish to reveal, don’t help the situation. He foolishly embarks on a mission to help Jubilee accomplish a list of things that she wants done within the year. All this does is put him closer to the person he claims to need to stay away from. Wild times ensue. There is a lot of great scenes between the two of them and also plenty of danger. I was glad that Jubilee finally stands up for herself. She deserves to live her life and not be so sheltered by her overbearing family, even though they really do mean well. Thoroughly enjoyed this one! Thanks for another great book in the series!
Emotional and bittersweet is the essence of Jubilee and Heath’s relationship. I love these characters and couldn’t seem to get enough of their story.
Jubilee and Heath each have had situations in their pasts that have serious impact on their present. Jubilee feels she has been kept in a bubble long enough – she wants to live life to the fullest out from under her famiy overprotective nature. And, she wants to do that with Heath, her brother Harrison’s friend. Heath has an unfortunate past that he feels guilt and shame – so much that he doesn’t feel worthy to be with Jubilee as well as she should be off limits as his friend’s little sister. The Thorntons are always an interesting and entertaining family. So, there is no doubt that their interference with Jubilee and Heath is going to be problematic and keep you intrigued with the story.
My only negative remark is in regards to a plot line that clearly begins in an earlier Thornton book. So, if you haven’t read the whole series there are a few holes in this story. However, on the whole this is a great book and I highly recommend it.
Till There Was You is the sixth book in the Thorntons series, part of the Love Everlasting world. Jubilee has been sheltered her whole life, especially by her family, and she’s sick of it. Wanting to experience all that she’s missed, she makes a list, but it falls into the hands of her biggest crush. Heath wants Jubilee, but he has too many secrets that might come tumbling out at any time and he’s worried about what she’ll think about him. Striking a deal, they spend time together, and she falls more in love with him. But as his secrets are revealed, can she trust him further with her heart and future?
I have been waiting for this book I think since I first started reading this series! It was emotional, empowering, and perfect! Jubilee and Heath were a match, complimentary pairs, but both had some issues to deal with before they could fully come together. Poor Jubilee had to deal with Heath’s back and forth, he wanted her, but didn’t think he deserved her. I loved that she went after what she wanted, though, both with college and with her man. Heath has so much guilt with his past and what his sister went through, and when it comes knocking again, he isn’t always sure how to handle his guilt. I love the events that brought them closer together, with her list and their arrangement, and loved their adventure of a romance. I really enjoyed that even though this was the sixth book in the series, it could be read as a stand alone. This was an amazing book that hooked me emotionally right from the very beginning, and I loved every minute spent reading it!
I didn’t realize there were threads left hanging loose at the end of Seth and Rose’s book, but this story has proven otherwise. And, like their siblings’ story, this one has an element of intrigue and suspense that doesn’t exist in most of the other Thornton books. Jubi and Heath have been flirting along the horizon of the series forever and I was excited to see their story get told. This pair is often crazy-making to me because they’re so intent on seeing each other’s actions through a focused lens of their own experiences. Sometimes mistaking ordinary motives for something a lot more sinister. I especially loved that this wasn’t your typical ‘virgin romance’. Jubilee has too much personality for that too happen. And while Heath has some wonderful alpha tendencies, he’s gentler and more low-key. Which, while not ‘typical’, makes him the perfect partner for Jubi.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from through Hidden Gems Books.
Morland has been holding out on us, and Jubilee’s story is the perfect ending to the fantastic Thornton family series. As the baby of the family who has fought and won a battle against leukemia – not once, but twice – even as an adult her family still tries to shield and protect her. Well, Jubilee has had just about enough of existing in a bubble and is ready to get on with the business of living her life. For the past seven years, she’s had a crush on her brother’s best friend, and when her bucket list for beginning her life falls into Heath’s hands, let’s just say things get really interesting.
Heath is certainly attracted to Jubilee and tells himself all the reasons why acting on it would be a bad idea, but most of all are the secrets from his past that not even his best friend knows. After Jubilee’s list and seeing that it involves other men, and finally experiencing certain things with other men, Heath resolves that he’ll be the only man to introduce Jubilee to those things on her list.
After reading my way through this series, I was glad to get an advanced copy of this book, because I could already see that Jubilee and Heath’s story had all the elements for a terrific read. Jubilee was so sheltered and cosseted but it was clear she had an inner strength and determination. And Heath, bless his heart, he tried valiantly to do what he thought was right and fought himself every step of the way. Between you and me, he really didn’t stand a chance against Jubilee once she decided to go after what she wanted. Their push and pull was deliciously entertaining and their interplay was, by turns, tender, humorous and explosive. But it’s not all sexy fun and games, and Morland adds a nice balance with some danger and suspense that made the story that much more riveting. I wholeheartedly recommend this entire series, but Jubilee and Heath are my favorite. Don’t miss their sweet, exciting, heartwarming story!
Till There Was You follows the youngest Thornton child, Jubilee. Jubilee has had the most precarious past, as she has survived two bouts of leukemia. Given this, she has lived life in a “bubble.” In this book, Jubilee is interested in breaking out of her bubble and experiencing life. She wants to go to college, and she wants to become physical with a man. Not just any man, though, she has loved Heath DiMarco from afar. Unfortunately, Heath is older, her oldest brother’s best friend, and seemingly not interested. Or at least that is what Jubilee believes. Heath is actually interested in Jubilee; however, he has a secret from his past that could destroy any possible relationship with Jubilee. Instead, he keeps his distance until he comes across Jubilee’s list – the list that notes she wants to lose her virginity. He makes a deal with her to ensure that man is him. Will this happen? Can Heath and Jubilee have a relationship and find love?
I have read almost all of the other Thornton books. This book is probably my second or third favorite book in the series because Jubilee and Heath’s struggles seem real. There were times when Heath’s decisions were frustrating, and you find yourself wanting to reach into the book and smack him upside the head. Thankfully, Jubilee shows grace and perseverance as she struggles to make a new life outside of the restrictions of her family. Of the Thorntons, she is probably my favorite because, besides Mark and Seth, she has the furthest to go. Watching her growth is the reason I love this book.
I definitely recommend this book. Iris Morland has found the right formula for these series. That is probably my only criticism, as there is a certain formulaic quality to the writing. However, that is insignificant in comparison to the characters and the storyline.
Go read this series.
Jubilee and Heath are making their list and checking them twice! Jubilee has lived in her sheltered bubble for too long. She knows her family means well but their insistence to look after her health long after she has been in remission has lead to a totally lack of her having lived a life. No boyfriends, no college, no crazy antics, no mistakes to have learn from… just bubble time. She has decided to take life by the horns and live it to the fullest. She makes a list of many things she wants to do and one very important thing is to loss her virginity after 25 long years. Now she will just need some takers. She wished it could be Heath whom she had loved from the moment he stepped foot into Harrison’s life, but alas he made it clear she is like a baby sister to him. Heath has always wanted what he couldn’t have. Jubilee is far too young for him but yet he cannot help the yearning he feels for her. He has always kept it fairly contained until he found her list… Over his dead body will any other man claim his Jubilee. He promises to teach her in the ways of seduction but if he’s being honest it’s all just torturous foreplay for both of them. There are things is in Heath’s past that he’s never even shared with Rose, but when they come to light could threaten everything he has built in Fair Haven. Can he drag sweet loving Jubilee into his drama or will he try and shield her by denying them both happiness?
I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book.
This is another lovely addition to this beautiful romantic series. I very much enjoyed this story, which was heartfelt and steamy. In particular, the growth of the main character as she finds her courage and independence is handled very well. The book does stand alone but the series is so good, you’ll want to read them all!
Till There Was You is another terrific book, in the wonderful series, The Thorntons.
I loved this story, & really enjoyed
reading it! This is a heart warming story about Jubilee & Heath.
Jubilee, had been sick as a child,
& as a teenager. She felt like she has
had to live her life, in a bubble. Jubilee’s family, have been very overprotective.
Now, she has taken back her life.
Jubilee has been in love with Heath,
since the first time she saw him.
Heath cares about Jubilee. Problem is,
he is best friends with her older brothers. And Heath has secrets, he wants to protect Jubilee from.
She does not have a lot of experience with dating, or kissing, that most girls do,
at her age. So Jubilee create a must do list. After losing her list, Jubilee asks Heath to give her lessons in dating,
& kissing.
Will Jubilee and Heath finally admit what they feel and find their way to one another?
A MUST READ FOR EVERYONE!!!
