Misty Pennebaker came to Eden’s Ridge to escape a painful past and find a new beginning. She’s built a life surrounded by beauty, with her gift shop showcasing local artisans and her work as the only florist in town. Contented with her shop and her dog, the last thing she’s looking for is a relationship. Especially one with the gorgeous, tattooed biker who works at the tavern down the street.… street.
Denver Hershal has been aware of Misty since she showed up in town three years ago. Aware, and interested. But he doesn’t have time for more than running his bar, tinkering with his vintage motorcycle, and riding herd on his pup–or so he tells himself. No matter how much his heart races whenever he’s near her. Besides, why would a beautiful, modern-day flower child want anything to do with a rough-around-the-edges bar owner?
When his bartender cooks up a matchmaking scheme to put Denver in Misty’s orbit, he’s surprised at how much he has in common with her–including their mutual tendency to want to leave the past in the past and keep it private. But what will happen when Misty’s private past is revealed, and clashes painfully with the things Denver’s tried to put behind him?

Once again a great book by Kait Nolan. Til there was you was good although at times the plot was a little too easy and simple for me but I love a good love story and Denver definitely needed Misty in his life.

Til There Was You is a fun contemporary romance by Kait Nolan. This is a quick read, perfect for those with limited reading time. Ms. Nolan has produced a book that is well-written and packed with fantastic characters. Denver is the owner of Elvira’s, the local bar. Misty is the owner of the local flower/gift shop. Misty and Denver are forced to work together to help with a friend’s wedding. Their story is loaded with drama, humor and spice. I enjoyed reading Till There Was You and look forward to my next book by Kait Nolan. Til There Was You is book 1.5 of The Misfit Inn Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from Bookfunnel. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
A sweet rework of ONCE UPON A WEDDING. Having read both versions, this one is much better. Two amazing characters moving toward their HEA.
Note: This is an extended version of the novella originally titled, “Once Upon A Wedding” which is no longer available. Both are considered Book 1.5 in the Misfit Inn series.
This is an adorable little novella and lovely addition to the Misfit Inn series. I love Kait Nolan’s writing style. It’s a unique mix of small town sweet and realistically sexy. Misty and Denver are an adorable couple who experience their own ups & downs in life as well as in their relationship. They do experience a hiccup, but I love that it’s resolved quickly and maturely.
Trigger Warnings (possible spoilers):
Death of a parent. Death of a friend.
Nolan employs her “sweet to heat” style in this short novella about Denver and Misty’s meant-for-each-other love story. This would be a simple story but for Nolan’s masterful character development and insistence on realistic and complex back stories. Misty and Denver are both well drawn, likable characters who are both relatable and have depth. The subplot of moving forward after tragedy is engaging and completely amazing!

I absolutely adored Denver and Misty’s story. Watching them learn about each other and navigate the small town gossip train was pretty entertaining. And of course Oscar and Moxie were perfection. Kait writes small southern towns so well, this is a must-read.

Til There Was You by Kait Nolan was a delightful read. I enjoyed Misty and Denver’s chemistry, their mature expressions of interest and attraction – no games, and their love of their dogs. So sweet. It is always nice to revisit the Misfit Inn series! I read an ARC, and this is my honest review.
Absolutely loved it. Another great Misfit Inn story. I loved this book. Kait’s book characters are ones that you want to keep reading their stories!! Denver loves everything about flower child Misty. And everything is what he wanted until he finds out something about Misty that rocks him. He knows its unfair of him to blame Misty but can he get over it and can he get Misty to forgive him and give him a second chance? Fall in love with Misty and Denver!!

I have been provided with a copy of Til There Was You by the author via Booksprout for an impartial review. Til There Was You was previously titled Once Upon A Wedding a short story that was a part of the Meet Cute Romance series and Misfit Inn series. This short story has been expanded into a novella. I just really enjoyed this expanded edition of this wonderful story. It was just really easy to get lost in and I just didn’t want it to end. I can’t wait to see what’s next from this author.
I loved this Misfit Inn novella! Free spirited florist Misty does not seem like the type that gruff, tatted bar owner Denver would go for. But he’s been crushing on her since he came to town. Who could have predicted a wedding would bring them together. While short in length, Til There Was You is filled with fun, love and joy…exactly how I feel about all Kait Nolan’s books, and how a great romance story should be written. A definite must read for old fans and new readers!
Denver and Misty make such a cute couple. I loved how they were so awkward around each other at first. It was sweet. I also loved that the book advocated for rescuing dogs, especially seniors. Of course, the love that bloomed between Oscar and Moxie was especially sweet. I found it humorous when Denver told Misty he had to make things right between them or Oscar would never forgive him.
As always Kait Nolan has written a book that I highly recommend reading. The story is well-written, the characters have depth, and the story kept me engaged from beginning to end. I recommend you buy your copy today.

OMG!! I’m absolutely over the Moon about this story, has everything a Meet-Cute needs. Fantastic characters, great small town environment, angsty, and a HEA that leaves you feeling warm and fuzzy.
When Denver and Misty get thrown together to work on a project for the wedding of a friend, they finally get to know each other…. and sparks fly!
Just when things are going great their past has a way of opening old wounds.
I loved everything about Denver. His gruff bar owner side and his dog loving side. He’s absolutely perfect for the sassy florist. Misty is the sweetest thing. I enjoyed reading about the journey these two take finding their HEA.

Another fun, flirty romance by Kait Nolan. I love how this book reintroduces you to characters from previous books and plays out their stories.

I love a Kait Nolan book especially when it revolves around the Misfit Inn series. Til There Was You is a beautifully written romantic story of two people Misty and Denver who have noticed each other for a few years but have purposely stayed away from relationships until they were put together to work on the arbor for Kennedy’s wedding. This book is heartwarming and an enjoyable read.

Til There Was You is a novella set within the Misfit Inn series. Denver has had his eye set on Misty for the past three years, but never made a move. That is, until a wedding forces them to start spending time together. Misty feels completely drawn to Denver and is willing to make some first moves, but will her past drive a wedge between their budding love?
I love books that I can just completely dive in and escape. Denver and Misty drew me in with their longing, kept my attention with their growing connection, and I didn’t want to leave this book. I think one of my favorite parts about this book was how different the two main characters seem at first glance, him a little more gruff and her a little more glowing, but they fit each other perfectly. Neither liked being in the spotlight of gossip, both had a past that still hurt them, and the connection between them felt like something real. Even though this is a shorter read, there’s still a lot of emotion, a bit of drama, and while this book does stand alone, I loved seeing characters from previous books! This was a fantastic addition to the series and hope for more little snapshots into loved characters!
Another great read from Kait Nolan. Fantastic and truly romantic story that I was not able to put it down.

I like Kait Nolan stories. The longer books are my favorite, but the short stories are just as good. You can read this one without reading any of the others as it stands alone. Denver and Misty’s story is a feel good story that I loved! I hope there are more to come from Eden’s Ridge. I love the way the author builds small towns. The characters are great and she makes me want to move in too! I received an advance copy an am voluntarily leaving a review.
I read and loved the original version, but reading this story with the additional depth and background of the main characters just paints that much more relatable story. And the epilogue offers an ever so much better happy ending!

Most of us have been through something horrible. And to overcome that in a relationship is monumental. Misty and Denver do this. I couldn’t get enough of those two. I want more. I Highly recommend this, so grab a coffee and curl up to read this.

This is still on the shorter side, a novella as opposed to the meet cute it started out as. I love the expansion of Denver and Misty’s story! It added enough to really solidify them. Just when we thought the Misfit Inn series was over, we get a little bit more. This is everything g you expect from a Kait Nolan book, cute story, great characters, and a set setting for love
