From Wall Street Journal & USA Bestselling Author M. Robinson, comes a rock star contemporary romance filled with angst and all the feels.
Once upon a time… dragons, demons, and villains.
Until her Prince Charming let his demons prevail.
She cried and begged and prayed.
She hated him.
She loved him.
She couldn’t save him.
“I’m sorry.”
“I love you.”
Were five words she despised more than anything.
Her fairy tale had become her worst nightmare.
She didn’t know how much more she could take.
She didn’t know love could turn into hate.
There were so many things she didn’t know.
Especially, how to tell him, “No.”

It’s been a really long time since book brought me to an ugly cry level of tears. These 2 are my new favorite M. Robinson couple.
Cash and Journey did more than give me the feels, they brought on all the feels then obliterated them. They had a connection that never wavered even after all the years apart, the first book touched on their reconnecting.
This book dug deeper into the emotional connection and an a delicious slow burn into a physical connection. They spent time getting to know each other again and I loved that, it made their chemistry and that connection they always had stronger.
My heart broke over and over for both of them for so many different reasons. My heart hurt for Journey and it shattered for Cash. I loved him in book 1 in book 2, I loved him, wanted to punch him, to kick him, hug him and sometimes I wanted to do all those things at the same time. The story of Cash and his June are going on my top reads of 2020 list.
My entire soul and chest are still aching from the conclusion of Cash and Journey’s story in Till The Last Lyric. M Robinson made me laugh, cheer, get angry, and sob like an infant (I’m talking full on ugly cry). Thankfully, she always puts you back together in the end…but the ride to get there was treacherous in the best possible way. Till The Last Lyric is without a doubt the best book of 2020. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. You need this duet in your life. If you read anything this year make it the Life of Debauchery duet, it is life changing!
And yet again The Queen of Angst had me on the edge of my seat from page one!
Til the Last Lyric was an epic end to an amazing duet.
The emotional rollercoaster had me concerned for the safety of my kindle. Cash McGraw is the broken hero that every girl would kill to fix.
Cash and Journey’s story will have you glued to the pages and at times make it feel like your heart is literally breaking.
I highly recommend! You need this duet in your life!
I don’t know how to write this review. I don’t know how to deal with the myriad of emotions I have been knocked down by. How do I put into words how devastatingly blown away I was by the ending of The Life of Debauchery series. Til the Last Lyric is a story that you could never prepare for. No matter what you do or how you try to toughen yourself to the onslaught of M’s words, it will be pointless. She will have you crying hysterically. She will have you screaming, WHY??? There was a certain part in the book where I just yelled, NO!! I could not believe what I was reading. I did not want to believe it. She sucked me in and then I was literally blindsided and felt like I went a round in the ring.
These characters broke me beyond repair. The love they felt. The friendships that were brutally beautiful. The strong family connection is rare and it is one many wish to have in the real world but never get to experience. They had me UNDONE. The relationship catastrophe that they all faced kept me wondering if they could come through it with their sanity. I certainly question mine. I wondered how they could possibly overcome the seemingly impossible. What did these characters have to possess to be able to move forward, put the past behind them, and make a life together? I don’t know but they displayed this inner strength that was impressive and awe inspiring. I will say it loud and proud, that this story destroyed me, and I don’t ever want to be normal again. An unforgettable story in an unbelievable duet.
How can a book turn you inside out?
I don’t think there’s a moment that I didn’t cry. When you manage to get hold of yourself then boom! you cry harder.
I got so lost with Cash and Journeys story, their bond is unquestionable but will that be enough…
It’s an easy 5 star read for me.
You rock my world.
5 Blown Away Stars
Til the Last Lyric is the gut-wrenching conclusion to the Life of Debauchery duet and Cash and Journey’s epic love story. Now that my heart is beating back to normal, maybe I can write this review lol. This story has so many ups and downs, twists and turns that my heart literally struggled to keep up. I have personally never dealt with someone struggling with addiction, but after reading Cash’s story, I can only imagine the heartbreak and powerlessness that loved ones must feel.
This story is so full of despair and hopelessness, but in the end M Robinson gives us the redemption we yearn for and the hope of a happily ever after. The Life of Debauchery duet I believe, is some of M’s best writing to date. Don’t miss out on this epic duet.

This story completely wrecked me… Cash and Journey were everything for each other. I loved their chemistry and their connection. From the very start you feel that it sucks you in. Monica has brought me to my knees with her angst, passionate stories. I am so in love with Cash and Journey story, it definitely wasn’t an easy one to read. They had their up and downs to get to their happiness. I’ll say that this book better off going blind into, so you experience the emotions for yourself while reading it. I love the way Monica writes her descriptions so well that you feel like you are there. You can visualize everything perfectly as you read. This book is so amazing and I loved every second of it. I love the angst, the love between the characters. The life lessons and even the heartbreaking moments. It was everything I expected and more. I highly recommend Life of Debauchery Duet it’s a must read.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I should expect it with a M. Robinson book but I think it can’t be as bad as last time. Well, let the record show that I am not OK after finishing ‘Til the Last Lyric! I can’t even begin to put into words that pain that was in my chest reading the conclusion of Cash and Journey’s story.
Cash was a train wreck waiting to happen and I hated that he brought Journey down with him. But it was inevitable. I could see it coming from a mile away, everyone could. Except them. The catalyst for Cash’s spiral down slayed me. All that wasted time…
‘Til the Last Lyric put me through the ringer. It was turbulent, chaotic, and I couldn’t get enough. The angst. The longing. The torture. The hope. The revelations. The promise. And then the twist. My heart stopped and then it shattered. Just like Cash’s and it was exactly the kick in the pants he needed to get himself the help he needed. To run head first into his future instead of hiding from his past. And there waiting for him, Journey. His Junie. And that ending…every bit of havoc M. Robinson bestowed upon my heart, she stitched back together.
Wow…
Just wow! What an emotional ride! This book has an HEA, but the twist and turns and emotions that ‘TIL THE LAST LYRIC bring out before getting to that sweet ending, make it a tearful happy ending. I was quite the teary mess throughout this entire duet. Tears of sadness, shock and devastation, but then also happy tears. ALL THE FEELS, basically.
Having read this book’s predecessors, I was so invested in these characters and this storyline. It’s catching up with characters what we love, meeting new characters, and falling in love with the main ones. Let’s face it, since introduced to CASH and Journey in previous books, we could wait to see where these pages would lead them. What would become of them? M Robinson did not disappoint. This is a story of love, addiction, obstinance, family drama… I mean it is everything! And a MUST READ!
wow by far my best read of 2020 so amazing how you break my heart and put it back together piece by piece everytime I think you can’t beat what you wrote before and then you did it again that’s why your the queen of anguish with the heart of gold your books are always amazing and I love them allM. Robinson
Cash Motherfuckin’ McGraw just broke my fucking heart! This book had my heart in my throat and tears in my eyes throughout almost the entire book. The Debauchery Duet is an emotional roller coaster that I never wanted to get off of!u2063
The emotions and pain felt throughout this book week so raw. Journey and Cash’s story is so heartbreakingly beautiful… emphasis on the heartbreak. They have this all consuming love that not only improves them but also hinders them. They are broken together but at the same time, they belong with each other.
Throughout the book, I wanted nothing more than for them to find their way but knew that things would need to get a whole lot darker before that could happen. M. Robinson does a fantastic job showing you the world of drugs and alcohol for rock stars. The pain that addiction causes, when the reason people use is to take the pain away. It’s the destruction left in the wake of their actions. My heart bled for Cash. You can feel his agony and it makes you want to fight his demons for him.
It’s definitely going to take me sometime to get over this book and the emotions it pulled from me. And I know I’ll end up reading this duet over again… just because I need a little heartbreak in my life.
But I am so excited so see what’s next with this group!
The Queen of Angsty strikes again just wow Til The last lyric did not just break me it annihilated me!! In the most breathtakingly beautiful Absolutely soul-crushing way…
“Utterly mesmerizing, a Flawlessly and poignantly written, tumultuous and addictive story that touched my heart in so many exquisite ways, My heart and soul was torn apart by every fissure.. This is M Robinson at her very best…
This is the best duet I have read this year meticulously executed, exceptional..
This book deserves a thousands stars it was utterly everything!
Holy heartstrings Miss Robinson!!! The conclusion to Cash and Journeys love story isn’t just about love. It’s about finding yourself and knowing your worth; about picking up the pieces and letting love in. All of the pain of past mistakes has Cash realizing what he finally needs to do to right all his wrongs. With Journey by his side this book will answer all of the questions that have been left unanswered. Be ready for one emotional rollercoaster ride full of RAW emotions. Tissues are a must!
Monica Robinson, the Queen of Angst, has struck again! This time she took readers on one helluva ride. No amount of silent prayers could stop this emotional roller coaster.
Til The Last Lyric is the conclusion to Cash McGraw and Journey Pierce’s tumultuous relationship. We silently watch as what appears to be the beginning of a beautiful love story unravel and become a nightmare.
Cash hasn’t moved on from his past, the pain he’s caused his family, or the hurt he’s endured by their hands. But the love of good woman, his Junie, may be his saving grace. However, old habits die hard and sometimes they don’t die at all.
Journey gave her all to Cash and Cash tried to do the same, but he is Cash McGraw. He only answers to his demons. And those demons had a price, one that was far more costly than even Cash might be able to afford. And beautiful Journey had her own battles that she couldn’t fight. Both needed a hero, one needed saving, one was lost.
This story showed us just how complicated and complex Cash was. He made sacrifices we didn’t even know about, we could never understand. He may have hid in the shadows but he stood tall in the light of day.
And Robinson, have mercy, she absolutely shredded my heart with Cash and his father. I simply needed to walk away for a moment to recover. And one simple journal entry had my mind conjuring a dozen different scenarios for this couple. You’ll need patience, understanding, love, and forgiveness to withstand this story! But…it’ll be worth it!
Rock star Romance
Till the Last Lyrics is the turbulent conclusion to Cash and Journey’s story in the Life of Debauchery duet. M. Robinson was written a story of addiction, hope, and all-consuming love here and I devoured it word for word. Since reading her Pierced Hearts duet I have been obsessed with her books. I even went ahead and bought the first books in many of her older series because I love the way she tells her stories. So, it comes as no surprise this this one consumed my heart while reading it. In fact, I loved this one so much that I read it in one sitting. Journey and Cash’s story is one readers won’t have a hard time investing in and you’ll be rooting for these two the whole way through. I absolutely loved it!
I’m going to leave this review short because it is the conclusion to the duet, and I don’t want to spoil it for readers. I will say though that it’s a mentally draining book because the hero suffers from addiction. If you’ve ever known someone who is an alcoholic or drug addict, you’ll know how draining it is, and that’s no different with reading it through fictional characters. M. Robinson uses care in writing about it but also makes it realistic which is why it affected me so much as a reader. It’s also nice to see that they aren’t PERFECT and deal with real life issues that many people in the world do. So, I appreciate this a lot.
Wrapping it Up: Till the Last Lyric is a raw, consuming love story and the perfect ending to some of my favorite characters stories. I loved Harley and Jackson in her previous duet and felt like this one was absolutely stunning. I heard so much about Cash from the other books and actually experiencing his story was wonderful. That being said, I recommend ALL three of her previous duets (I haven’t read her older titles, but I bet those are fantastic too). If you start with the Pierced Heart duet, you’ll see how the following two are set up.
The emotional conclusion to Cash and Journey’s beautiful yet gutwrenching story put my heart through the wringer, shattered it and then slowly pieced it back together again. Be forewarned, you’re most likely going to need tissues before you’re done with this angsty and consuming read.
Every since Cash McGraw began strumming his guitar something about the broken part of him he tried to hide from the world called to me. Even at his worst I could never find it in me to do anything but love him and hope he’d find the light in all his darkness. I adored that Journey was just that and able to see the boy craving love and acceptance hidden behind the rockstar facade.
Their love story wasn’t easy and these two definitely brought out all the feels as I couldn’t help but become emotionally invested in them. My heart raced and hurt as I laughed, shed a few tears, hoped, and by the end was left with a smile on my face. ‘Til the Last Lyric was everything I wanted for Cash and Journey yet so much more.
The angst-filled conclusion to the Life of Debauchery is here! I didn’t know how M. Robinson could possibly redeem one of the biggest anti-heroes out of any of her stories. I should have known better. I should’ve have trusted her vision. She always rips our hearts out and gives us the biggest alpha-holes but she always redeems them, and then we’re totally in love with them. They turn out to be our most beloved heroes of hers.
At the end of From the First Verse (FFTV), she leaves us with a gut-wrenching, heartbreaking cliffhanger. TTLL takes us on an emotional journey of heartbreak, soul-searching, love, and redemption. There were times when my chest physically ached and tears formed in my eyes. Cash is so beautifully broken and lost. He has the best of intentions and loves with his whole heart but sometimes the demons we fight are stronger than we ever imagined. Journey is young but she is an old soul. She is stronger and more mature than most girls her age. She has been through a lot in her young life. Cash has always been her idol. Her dreams come true when she gets to tour with the band, Life of Debauchery… or do they? Life isn’t easy on the road and dreams can be shattered. Secrets are being kept and those secrets could very well shatter their existence.
You need to take this angst-filled and emotional journey. Monica kills you with TTLL but in the best way! She puts you through an emotional wringer but you’re always put back together. It will make you laugh, cry, swoon, melt, and cheer. I love her characters. You get to see some of the Good ‘Ol Boys characters make an appearance. That’s always a plus for me! She gives you an extra surprise at the end so be ready! By the end of this story, I had such a major book hangover! I hated to see it come to an end! Bravo M!

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.
Once upon a time….There was a little girl who believed in fairy tales and happily ever afters. Hoping. Praying. Waiting. For her prince to come. Together they would conquer the world. Slaying dragons, demons, and villains. Until her Prince charming let his demons prevail. She cried and begged and prayed. She hated him. She loved him. She couldn’t save him. “I’m sorry.” “I love you.” Were five words and despised more than anything. Her fairy tale had become her worst nightmare. She didn’t know how much more she could take. She didn’t know love could turn into hate. There were so many thing she didn’t know. Especially how to tell him NO!!
Oh my holy gosh. This book is everything. It is amazing and one that you will not put down. You have to have read From The First Verse before you can read Till the Last Lyric. I promise that book is so good and sets you up into going into this one. Till the Last Lyric picks up right where The First Verse left off and we are now on this crazy ride with Journey and Cash and a very important question has been asked and you will get the answer to it many times. He is Cash and She is his Junie and I love how this book is told with memories of the past and journal entries from Journey. Cash is a mess a total mess and I love him. I love him so much and this book is written so well that you are so immersed in it that you yourself feel like you are so invested in these characters that you know them personally. You need to go ahead and get a box of Kleenex and enjoy the ride. I don’t want to give anything away about this book and I could have spent days and days with these characters. This is story that is going to pull you in, take your breath and leave you reeling. I loved it. I know I said that already but I can not stress this enough. M. Robinson has left her heart and soul in this book and you will feel it. Her words are beautiful and this is is a duet that you will never ever be able to forget for the rest of your life.
I cried.
I CRIED.
I C-R-I-E-D.
I full blown cried.
Now that it’s clear… I’m not gonna lie, Cash has been on my s**t list for a while and the first book in his duet didn’t change it. Okay, it did. The point is, if you were like me and thought Cash hasn’t redeemed himself completely, I have good news – that I won’t tell you because I’m still dead inside.
See? You know you finished a great book when your review doesn’t make sense, your eyes are still wet, and you are not able to pick up another story just yet.
Oh, Cash. He was every bit of the dirty talking Rockstar/Prince Charming in one package, even more tortured than ever. You couldn’t help but love him and Journey and be happy/sad for them.
The beginning of the book was a poetic masterpiece too beautiful to be true. There were some moments that crushed me but overall, I felt at peace. And giving the history I share with this author, I couldn’t believe when my kindle was still secure in my hands. That should be a warning sign. Because halfway through the story Ms Robinson delivered the first blow. It didn’t end there, the twists continued to come at rapid speed, and every bullet found my heart until there wasn’t anything left of me but the salty aftertaste of my tears. Y’all she did it. M Robinson took all my hope and killed me with her words. Hungover doesn’t even cover how I feel right now. Congrats M, you officially destroyed me and drained me of all emotions.
This duet doesn’t focus too much on the romance. It’s the characters as individuals and their demons that shine, the forgiveness and the love they learn to have for themselves and others, not only the love for their soul mates, that heals.
Till The Last Lyric was an angsty and emotional tale that reached into the deepest crevices of my soul and took me on a mind-blowing journey with life-altering experiences.
4.75 – 5*
SIDE NOTE: I highly encourage you to read the Good Ol’ Boys books if you haven’t already. The pain will be much worse when you read them first. Cash’s Duet is a standalone but I feel like I wouldn’t ugly cry like I did if I haven’t met some of the characters befor
Til the Last Lyric is the conclusion to Cash and Journey’s love story. It was a great conclusion and by far my favorite book of 2020. M. Robinson is known for Queen of Angst and still holds that title after this book. She is the mastermind of angst. Rip your heart out, keep you on your toes, emotional read. My view on Cash totally changed after the second book. The way Cash was with Journey made me love him but then hate him in the next to loving him. The plot twists and you never know what will happen. Its very hard for me to cry when I read books, when reading this book I was so close to crying. I think I was in shock and didn’t know what to think. Definitely have your tissues ready for this book. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Til The Last Lyric!
TOP READ OF 2020!!!
Can’t wait for the next book!
