From Wall Street Journal & USA Bestselling Author M. Robinson, comes a rock star contemporary romance filled with angst and all the feels.
Once upon a time… dragons, demons, and villains.
Until her Prince Charming let his demons prevail.
She cried and begged and prayed.
She hated him.
She loved him.
She couldn’t save him.
“I’m sorry.”
“I love you.”
Were five words she despised more than anything.
Her fairy tale had become her worst nightmare.
She didn’t know how much more she could take.
She didn’t know love could turn into hate.
There were so many things she didn’t know.
Especially, how to tell him, “No.”

As we conclude Johnny Cash McGaw and Journey Pierce’s story we are starting off on quite a ride right were we left off in that unexpected cliffhanger in First Verse (Life of Debauchery #1). Cash is constantly fighting his demons and continues to want to prove to this family that he can do anything.
Resting his forehead on mine, he stared deep into my eyes and groaned, “Tell me you felt that….”
This time around his muse, Journey is more present in his life and she is determined to make him see things in a different light. Their chemistry is strong and their feelings and more truths were revealed that will have you aching and breaking for both of them. The forbidden and the age gap makes their relationship more intense and the feels running deep. We get more of each of their background history and the reasoning on why and how they are today.
The story faces addictions, medical issues, family drama, and more! Be prepared to hold on tight and open your mind to this all-consuming love between two people who had a special connections for years (regardless of the break in between) and how being in their life once again can be risky and it will either make them or break them in the long run.
Lord have mercy. This book…I finished it quickly but had to take some time to get my thoughts and feelings together. So let’s see if I can process what I’ve read and how I feel.
Til the Last Lyric is the second book in this amazing duet. Cash and Journey’s story picks right up where we left off. While Journey may be young, she knows what she wants. She wants to help Cash see that he can be his music, but also be more. I loved how she made him want more. My heart broke for Cash. I feel like he misunderstood things from when he was young. I think he thought he was being held back, but the truth was, things were done in order to keep him safe and protect him. Journey, I can’t tell you how much I love this woman. Deep down, she’s angry, and rightfully so, but I love that she takes that strength and uses it for good. She tries to be everything Cash needs, but sometimes that too overwhelming.
This story was about finding out who you are, even when you’re a rockstar. That doesn’t mean you know who you are or how you think your life should be. My heart hurt for the truths that come out in this story. My heart was healed by the love of all the characters in this book. I loved getting lost in Monica’s words. Let’s take a minute to talk about the amazing author that wrote such an amazing book. This book is love, it’s honesty, it’s about learning to live. It’s about learning to move on from the past. It’s about truth. M. Robinson puts all that in this one amazing duet. This amazing author made me cry, which takes a lot when it comes to a story. She made my heart feel light. She made me feel the pain that these characters were feeling. Every second of this book had me feeling something. I love that when a book sucks me in and doesn’t let go. This is a fantastic duet. I can’t want to see what the queen of angst has in store for us next.
What a great conclusion to Cash’s story. This story is full of angst, heartache, it’s raw and emotional as hell and I couldn’t put it down. Cash and Journey’s story was hard to read at first, but I couldn’t stop reading it even if I tried. This is another great book by M. Robinson and I can’t wait for more to come!!
This is the conclusion to Cash and Journey’s story and one that you do not want to miss! I don’t know how this author does it but every time I read a book by her, my heart is always beating out of my chest! That’s just one of the reasons why she’ll always be my Queen of Angst! If you haven’t started this duet yet, what are you waiting for!
Cash is slowly free falling but with Journey by his side, he finally sees some light at the end of the tunnel but it’s hard to break the cycle. Even though Journey is trying to be there for Cash, the road ahead is very hard. The love they have for each other seems to be withstand it all but Cash’ demons seem to be slowly closing in on him. Will he be able to turn the tide?… Or will it be too late to not only save himself but also his relationship with not only Journey but also his family
At times I love M. Robinson and at times I curse her. If you have read her before you would understand and if you have not, trust me, you want too! I love her writing, even if it breaks me every time. It’s the type of writer she is and I devour anything she writes. In Till the Last Lyric, we get a story that will captivate you from start to finish that was heartbreaking and full of angst. This is the conclusion of Journey and Cash’s story and it will gut you.
Cash just broke my heart. His demons were strong and haunted him deeply. Journey was caring and we saw grow. But what they went through was difficult. Could they find a way together or was it too late? Till the Last Lyric by M. Robinson touched my heart. It was such an emotional and heart-rending story.

Happy reading!
I normally write reviews immediately and well before the release when I receive an ARC but here I am, the night before still at a loss for words. I can’t seem to find the right ones to express how much of an impact this book had. I felt so many emotions from the second I picked up this breathtaking conclusion. It was passionate, soulful, gut wrenching and beautifully written.
Cash never had an easy life but he was able to make something of himself but at what cost? Would he ever be happy with his life? Could he make amends with his past in order to save his future? Could he ever be the man Journey deserved?
Wow…this book was a wild ride. I had so many tears, I almost didn’t want to continue at one point. But as always, Monica might break my heart but she always pieces it back together!
Til the Last Lyric is the final book in a duet (Life of Debauchery) and you MUST read book one to read this book. Dang you M! (that is the nice way of saying this HaHa). We know you are the Queen on Angst, but I think you truly dropped our hearts in this book (more than once). Not cool towards the end, but you redeemed yourself! All I can say to avoid any spoilers. Trust me, you will be wanting to scream and then hug her for melting the ice on our hearts. We see the conclusion to Cash and Journey’s rough ride and that is putting this mildly. Journey has a heart of gold and always has. She’s brave and strong and does what she believes is best for all. She was correct, it wasn’t easy, but it was for the best for all involved. The bond between these two have been from the moment she was born and continues in this Journey. Cash struggles with many issues and your heart breaks for him. He hides behind his Rock ‘n Roll lifestyle to quiet his demons. Can Journey get him to save himself is the question?Your emotions are tugged and pulled in this book, there are times you will smile though. I loved how this was told in dual POV and feel like almost all of our questions on Cash and Journey have been answered. I would have loved to see more on something (cannot say what to avoid spoilers), we got it, but I wanted more reactions to how it played out. Sure it will be in a different book though cause M always gives us what we want (may not be right away, but we will get it). Love that about her! Til the Last Lyric is done, but the Queen or shall I say the Devil-ta has something up her sleeve and I cannot wait!
5 BEST DUET STARS!! This is by far the best duet I have read!! Cash and Junie have taken me on a ride I will never forget. Their story had me crying so hard, I could not see the words or catch my breath. The feels in this story are off the charts….your heart will be squeezed and shaken dry all the way through their story. You must read this duet.
THE QUEEN OF ANGST STRIKES AGAIN!
I have realized that no matter what I write in this review, that it will not do this duet / 2nd half of this duet justice. I could never come even close to describing the greatness that this book has to offer. Suffice to say, I’ll try my damnest.
I thought for sure that I connected with Robinson’s previous characters because her writing just makes you feel like you are living and breathing with them, but I was wrong. I am not afraid to admit that. I have NEVER EVER, IN THE HISTORY EVER EVERDOM, connected with a two characters like I have with Journey and Cash. I say that, coming from both spectrums.
The Life Of Debauchery was a duet that evoked more emotions from me, than any other book / series this author has written. The blank space I thought I was in before, is no more. I am emotionally spent after diving into the world of Journey and Cash, especially after reading the second half. I feel like I have lived a thousand lives because Till The Last Lyric was written with so much emotion and depth, that I found myself putting myself in their shoes; I was living his life, and I was living hers.
There was more downs than ups, more hardships than prosperity, but Till The Last Lyric was as real as any book could get. The authenticity behind this book proves how truly talented this author is, from the plot line to what true love entails.
I couldn’t be any more open without ruining things for others, so I will stop while I am ahead. While I am here I am just gonna go ahead and say it, ‘ LIFE OF DEBAUCHERY ‘ IS THE BEST DUET OF 2020!
* REVIEWED FOR REVIEWS FROM THE HEART
Wow!!!!! What an heartfelt second part of this amazing story. I was warned that I would need some Kleenex and I did; a lot of them. A 6 star masterpiece that consumed me from the first page to the last one. A page turner that sucked me so deep that I was an emotional mess.
This is the continuation From The First Verse, so this is not a standalone. Cash and Journey’s continues in this spellbound and highly addicting story of second chances. Cash needed to heal from his emotional whirlwind relationship with his father. He will get a second chance and find love. Beautifully written with a storyline that flowed well.
Told in a dual POV with an HEA. I strongly recommend this duet.
***3,5 “I’m lost without you!!! stars***
“The past is a great place, and I don’t want to erase it or to regret it. I don’t want to be its prisoner either.” -Mick Jagger
The truth is that I’m having issues with Cash since the “Pierced Hearts” duet and even though, the things smothered a little bit between us in the first part, I’m not really sure that i saw him in a different light in here.
Maybe i was expecting a little bit more of the second part…
Maybe i needed for Cash to accept sooner his mistakes and to man up, but I didn’t get it and i’m a little bit disappointed… He just kept doing what he knew to do good!!! Fucked up everything around him!!!
“All I ever wanted was for them to be proud of me and now look… I was everything they didn’t want. I’d become my own worst nightmare.”
Well, the book picked up exactly from the moment that the first part had stopped and while i thought that this time Cash will fight to bring back into his life the people that he loved and whom loved him back, in the first sign of discomfort he run away…
And then the book focused on his new relationship with Journey…
For a while the things were great between them and around them…
But Cash’s demons and weaknesses roared their head for once again and Cash got lost in a sea of regrets, guilts, and vices!!!!
Nothing could get through him… Not even poor Journey!!!
“I had everything I’d ever wanted now that she was here with me. I thought her presence would make the demons go away.
It didn’t.”
Honestly, my heart was breaking for this girl!!!! For the faith that she had on him!!!!
She had the illussion that she could help him and that her love could be enough…
But she was so wrong!!!!
Cause she had to go to war to fight with an addiction than it was larger than her and more powerful!!!
Still, she was there behind him and she was ready to do anything for him…
Until she realized that the only things that could help the boy that she had love for all her life was Cash himself!!!
“He doesn’t deserve you, just like he didn’t deserve Harley or Bailey.”
“Jackson, I can’t do that. Exactly how you fought to bring your person back, I’m going to fight for mine.”
“I’m fighting a battle I can’t win.”
I won’t lie to you!!!
I never fell in love with Cash, but darn, the last six chapters destroyed me…
I was crying like a baby and my heart was breaking for everyone….
But still, I am so furious with Cash!!!
His stubborness and big ego ruined many lives and i don’t know if i can forgive him for that!!!!
I was feeling his pain, but his actions pissed me off so much!!!
“I was my own worst enemy.
Then.
Now.
Infinitely.”
“You should have never showed back up in my life. I won’t let you go now, Junie. You’re mine. Do you understand me?”
As for Journey??? For once again, i think that her part in here wasn’t so big but it was to the point…
She didn’t deserve what Cash was doing to her!!!
But she was a strong woman with a beautiful soul and she was determined to stay by his side!!!
But still, i believe that the book had more to do with Cash and the amends that he had to make to stop feeling so lost and hollow inside…
“I just want you to see what I do. What everyone sees in you. You’re not fucked up. You just think you are. I wish you could see yourself for who you really are.”
“Why?… You see it for both of us.”
“Around and around, I tumbled in his bed of lies covered in roses. The thorns of his truths marring my love for him. On this endless cycle of his regret and redemption. I was tossed out and a little bruised with each sequence.”
I loved that, for once again, i saw many favorite characters in this book…
Dylan broke my heart so many times in here, but i get it!!! I totally do!!!
I loved that i saw Harley and Jackson to be more calm in their lives at the end…
And i think that the relationship with Bailey was working out as it supposed to be after everything that had happened in the past!
And wow!!!! Ramirez’s son is next??? Hell yeah!!!!
“People make mistakes.
The Good Ol’ Boys.
The Jamesons’.
The Pierces’.
Every one of us had our own stories to tell that were filled with trials and tribulations, truths and lies, heartache and redemption.
No one had any room to talk.
At the end of the day, all that mattered was we were all family.”

Loved!
I could not put this down. I didn’t think my heart could take much more after the first book but this conclusion absolutely gutted me. Cash and Journey’s road is a bumpy heartbreaking ride. I screamed, cried, yelled and cried some more.
There’s love, hate, addiction and finally forgiveness. Bring the Kleenex, find your favorite reading spot and get ready for your heart to explode. The author out did herself on this masterpiece. Absolutely wonderful!

Book DEVOURED!
First thoughts: This book has been my most anticipated read this year. Going back into the world of Johnny and June aka Journey was a surreal experience. I am still reeling, drowning in all the emotions. This story took me on a wild ride, revealing new details about our reigning couple that tore at my heartstrings.
Ugh this author excels at making you think you know all, only to ripe the rug out from underneath you. It would be a lie if I said I didn’t tear up at times. HOLY HECK… I can’t stop thinking about all. Everyone one needs the poetic and lyrical words that flow through this book. I want to share the details, for a lively discussion about what this story did to me. I won’t cause you need to experience it for yourself. Ok heading off to the spoiler room, either that or I am calling my therapist. Wait, I don’t have a therapist! Eek!
Happy Reading Everyone! XOXO
I enjoyed Cash and Journey’s emotional story. It’s hard. Nothing about their love is easy. Nothing about Cash is easy, really. He is so damaged. I love it. Love a broken hero, who needs the love of his soul mate to mend his heart and mind. Gah! All the feels in this one. Monica is an emotional sadist. She wants you to really suffer for it. It definitely makes the reward so much sweeter though, doesn’t it?
If you like angsty, emotional reads, you’ll want to read this one, and all of Monica’s books really. They tie into each other in the best ways. I love the giant family vibe. It’s like going home every time there’s a new book.
The epic conclusion to the Life of Debauchery duet was perfection and exactly what I have grown to expect from M. Robinson. She had me in tears and with this one. Cash and Journey’s story is heartbreaking and soul shattering. My emotions were all over the place on this roller coaster ride. This book had it all, one moment I was smiling and the next I would be in tears. Make sure you have tissues handy.
Cash has been living his life in the true Rock and Roll fashion, drugs and lot of self-loathing. He is ready to make a change but the only one who can help him is Journey. Til the Last Lyric was a beautiful passion filled emotional journey and I loved every minute of it.
**DO NOT READ UNTIL YOU HAVE READ From The First Verse! This book is the conclusion to FTFV**
The conclusion to Cash and Journey’s story is a beautiful, heartbreaking, gut-wrenching, soul shattering, and intense read. My emotions were all over the place and while I was reading ‘Till The Last Lyric, my anxiety was going through the roof. This book literally takes a toll on your emotions. One minute you’ll be smiling and laughing and then the next you’ll be crying. I’ve sworn on many occasions that Ms. Robinson loves putting her readers on this intense emotional rollercoaster. She actually had me saying “Please tell me it’s not true!!” on two different parts in this book. When it comes to M’s previous books, I’ve NEVER cried as much as I did with this book. My tears were flowing like a river.
If you are looking for a book that will tear at your heart and give you a book hangover! I highly recommend reading M. Robinson’s books!! She is one of those authors who you won’t regret reading! Once again, Bravo M!! I’m a crying mess…but I wouldn’t trade this feeling for anything in the world!!
My life as a romance reader can be divided into two clean parts. Before and after M. Robinson. Before finding her stories, I had no idea words and fictional characters can cause so much pain. Till the Last Lyric was another heartbreaking angst fest. Where I cried, I cursed and I suffered. And yet I loved every aching, intense, passionate and musical moment.
Cash McGraw is a rockstar. Living the proverbial life of sex, drugs, rock and roll. But he is a broken man. Anger. Hatred. Guilt. Heartbreak. Regrets. His heart is on a path of self destruction. Alcohol is going to be his weapon. But Journey Pierce refuses to let him drown in his own agony. She is the angel to this fallen soul. But is his soul beyond salvation? Will Journey destroy herself in love?
This story deals with a lot of burning issues head s on. The journey of Cash and his Junie was not an easy one. I broke for them so many times. M. Robinson poured pure agony in each page as I was branded by the raw and honest feelings. This story also deals with lots of inspiring and motivating issues. This story shows how family and friends can bring back a dead man in truest sense. This story shows unconditional love and strong support can heal the most severe and debilitating wounds. And my heart weeps and cries and bleeds for Cash and Journey. Their story is one of those epic love stories those give me goosebumps and shivers. Their chemistry is otherworldly. They are damaged souls. Their love is brutal, all consuming and edgy. They hurt each other. Specially when Cash denied to look into the mirror and accept his mistakes and faults. They have a complicated family dynamics. At times I felt they will never get out of this pit of despair, self loathing and drama. But they did. And spectacularly. With battle wounds to be worn proudly .Their passion is pure fire and at the same time healing balm to their tortured hearts. They have been to the darkest hell and so they deserve most epic HEA. I have exhausted my eyes and my heart is beautifully bruised.
I feel Till the Last Lyric by M. Robinson is a really special love story because it talks about loving self too. This story is indeed about finding way back to true love. But this story is also about finding forgiveness for self , accepting responsibilities for mistakes and becoming a better person for the person one loves.
Received ARC for honest review
I don’t know what it is about broken rock stars that lost their way but find it with the help of the love of a woman and their family that I love so much. Cash has demons. He doesn’t know how to handle them. His whole life has been about making music and that’s what he loves to do. He loves to entertain his fans. Having his Junie by his side has been amazing for him but it’s not helping with the demons. We get to see a side of Cash that I knew existed, it just took Journey in his life to see it. This book is chalked full of angst, just like it should be. There’s lots of fights, smart ass comments and a whole lot of love. Your emotions will take a beating in this book. There’s times you will want to punch someone and then you’ll be crying over them. My heart took a beating. I found myself mad at Cash throughout most of this book and that was solely based on how he was acting and how he was treating Journey. There was a short amount of time that he treated her nicely. Anyway to see Cash break and finally realize what he was missing in his life was an emotional and beautiful thing. I had so many tears rolling down my face that I had to put the kindle down multiple times. Journey tried so many times to get Cash to see the light and do right. She even went so far as to bring him home but that turned ugly quick. I liked her fire and her determination to save Cash. She was the light he needed in his life. I thought maybe I’d be creeped out by the age difference but I really wasn’t. There was a maturity with Journey that made her seem older then what she was. She understood more then most at her age. She knew exactly how to handle Cash despite how many times her heart was broken by him. This is a beautifully, heartbreaking and full of angst book. I gotta say I loved every minute of Cash and Journey’s story. It was truly remarkable. I would highly recommend this book to everyone I know!!
Okay, so… even after a few days I’m still not sure what to write, since I’m not even sure what happened with this book. After FTFV held so much promise, this one is just too much.
Too much drama, too cliched to enjoy.
I really liked Cash and Journey, both individually and as a couple. But all we seemed to get from them was drama. It seemed like their story was going great, but then all of a sudden every single thing happened at once and at break neck speeds. It didn’t need to happen like that.
Not every part was a wash, there were moments I did enjoy. I was definitely in Cash’s corner, and I liked the connection he and Journey shared. But this was just too much drama to enjoy, the pacing way off, and everything just compounded at the end.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Let me start by saying I think my heart literally stopped at one point when I was reading this book. Cash’s and Journey’s story was quite the ride – from the rock start life of glamour and raunch back to Oak Island, the start of it all.
Just when I thought I had things figured out, the author threw in a couple of twists in there that I did not see coming. This book is a heart crushing, angsty ride – something the author does best and she always puts your heart back together by the end of this story.
I loved this story and I can’t wait to see what the M Robinson has in store for us next!
