London’s square mile is witness to a revolution, a new breed of business woman. They call us tiger sharks. We out-earn, out-work and out-play our male counterparts. We work the system, play the game and most importantly, win. In a city full of sharks only the most ruthless make it to the top of the pool. The number one rule: never sleep with the boss. Ever. I had no intention of breaking it until … breaking it until I met my new boss. No matter how strong my resolve, Landon Banks can smell weakness like a shark smells blood in the water, and I’m bleeding.
The hunter becomes the hunted, lines start to blur, and I have a choice to make. Screw or be screwed. Of course, I never was much good at taking it like a bitch. Landon Banks will be learning to grab his ankles if I have anything to do with it.
Things are about to get interesting in the game of predator versus predator. Who will come out on top?

When I started reading this book I found it hard to put down, it’s so rare to read about strong female character.
This had me intrigued, what a woman in the business world has to do to earn respect.
Georgia sets her rules very high and won’t break them for anyone not even for sex on a stick Landon. He’s everything you want in a man only problem is he’s her boss and she don’t bite the hand that feeds her.
I liked this book you have a strong independent woman who is attracted to her boss but doesn’t want to compromised her integrity, I loved seeing her conflicted with her attraction.
It’s a situation she’s can’t control and she’s all about control. It’s makes for an interesting read with the will she just let her walls down and just let go.
~4.5 Stars ~
This is my second LP Lovell read and I enjoyed it just as much as the last one. She is quickly moving up towards my must read authors list.
Georgia Roberts is a tough business woman in a field that is considered to be dominated by men. She’s highly intelligent and knows exactly how to play the game. Both the clients and her male co-workers.
“London is a giant chess board, a game in which strategies, deception and rule define your success.”
She has 5 ultimate rules that helps her achieve her success and #1 is to not fuck the boss. This has always been easy for her. Until a situation puts her with a new boss who is about to test her resolve.
I devoured this book. I just couldn’t get enough of Georgia and Landon. They were the ultimate push and pull story. Full of angst and that back and forth love/hate banter that I absolutely love.
Georgia is probably one of my favorite female heroines this year. She’s strong, ruthless, and has the backbone to rival anyone. She knows exactly what she wants and goes after it. Her drive for success is admirable. Her resolve to adhere to the path she has planned out to remain at the top is refreshing. Add on the fact that she doesn’t have a filter and I’m sucked in. Where do I sign up for my own real life Georgia as a friend?
This book has just about anything I could ask in it. Plus, the scenes are seriously hot. Like scorching hot. Two alphas who struggle for control in and out of the bedroom. The power struggle was just written so well and so freaking hot. I said that already, right? HOT!!!
“I want to feel the control over him that I can’t possibly have outside of this place. The question is, can a man like him even be controlled? Or would it be like keeping a lion as a pet and waiting for it to rip your arm off?”
Overall, I really enjoyed this book. If you like the push and pull with strong both a strong heroine and hero then you need to read this! Thank you for another great book, LP. I can’t wait for your next one!
