This was a BookBub book club book before my time, and my fellow ‘bubs have been recommending it for years—it’s a clear favorite among our book club picks. I am SO glad I finally read it. Tiger Lily is a beautifully told story about first love, loss, and growing up. I’m not a huge Peter Pan fan, but I am a sucker for retellings of classic childhood …
This book was from the Peter Pan Reading Challenge 2016. It is a great story about the little known character Tiger Lily. I like the character and culture development. A lovely Peter Pan twist!
I love Tiger Lily in this story. She is the strong, tough girl who is brought up by the village Shaman and doesn’t believe in Love or Happily Ever After. Until she meets a boy named Peter Pan. This is just a must read story and a book you won’t be able to put down. With all the characters and the problems that they face and Tiger lily struggling …
I read this book a few years back, and as I thumbed through my kindle library recently, I found myself trying to remember if I’d liked it. I knew the premise was intriguing – a re-telling of Peter Pan as told by Tinker Bell! – so I decided to reread it. For the first two thirds of the book, I couldn’t believe I’d forgotten so much about the story. …
Great book! So much suspense!
What an imaginative and captivating retelling of Peter Pan! Tiger Lily is told from the perspective of Tinkerbell as she observes the courtship of Peter and Tiger Lily. I love that we were able to grasp the thoughts of other characters through Tinkerbell. I also enjoyed the richness of the characters. Each one well-developed and with purpose …
It’s a really interesting point of view on the story, and such a thought provoking concept that i simply couldn’t put down
I wanted to read this since it was a continuation of Peter Pan. This was a fun read, but I was sad that the mermaids had such murderous intent!
I love to re-read stories from another point of view and really loved the whole idea of this version of Peter Pan. I did not want to put this story down!
This wasn’t your normal “retelling” and it did take me a bit to get into the book and stay interested. It was good though, I liked hearing things from Tink’s perspective and the Tiger Lily side of the Peter Pan story is one that hasn’t been explored before. All in all the story made me sad though, and it’s not that I am one who HAS to have a happy …
Haven’t really been able to get into it. Read about 1/3 and then lost interest.
