Anna has had both parents pass and the trust her father left for her at 25 is coming up in two months. Something a friend says makes her really look at the paperwork and it has a Tiger Claus where she has to marry a shifter before she turns 25. Her friend gets an appointment set up with a lawyer that she works with and when the two meet… the sparks sure do fly… or should I say rubbed. Her step-father has plans for the trust money and property and is trying to take it from her… viciously.
These two characters are so good for each other. The intense feelings and the comfortable feeling like they have know each other their whole lives. The storyline was quick, but really sweet, too. Suspense rolls through as the step-father breaks into her house and causes trouble. Love the closeness of the law building, like a family that protects each other. The ending and epilogue was perfect.

This is book three of the Shifters at Law series and the main characters are Anna Donovan and Oliver Lyon. Oliver is a lawyer and loves his work, but keeps his private life totally secret, even from those he knows well. He works with two other lawyers and his friends at their law firm, Casa, Fee and Lyon, with them also starting off by sharing the floors above as their homes, until one moved out after marrying. The building they work from looks more like a house, than a business, throwing Anna a bit when she comes for her appointment, which her best friend Joyce managed to get for her. Anna lost her father some years before in a car accident and he had left her some land and money in a trust for her, to be received on her twenty fifth birthday. She has only recently lost her mother through illness which she nursed her throughout, but has a huge stumbling block in her stepfather Carl, who her mother moved in very quickly after her father’s death. He is now the executor of her trust and his golf buddy is the lawyer in charge of the trust. Joyce was the one to get her to check out the actual paperwork for the trust, especially as her birthday was only a few months away. This is when she found out it had the odd addition of a ‘Tiger Clause’, which states she has to be married to a shifter by her birthday and stay married for a year afterwards, to be able to access her trust!
It is such an ancient clause to still be used in a contract, which the lawyer hasn’t even seen in use before. He would hope to get her case in front of a judge, but there is lots of trouble with a big case already in court which is causing issues between humans and shifters, after a shifter was injured in a hit and run. So trying to get her case in front of a judge in time, could be impossible. It seems her stepfather has his own plans for her land and money and is eager to see her fail to live up to the contract. Oliver gets a bit of a shock when he first meets Anna, with her acting very forward and not afraid of him at all. She easily figures out what he is, having been around shifters quite a bit in the past. They shouldn’t get together romantically, if he is to represent her, but the chemistry is off the charts between them. Joyce is worried he might hurt her friend and warns him he better not, or he will answer to her. Joyce has her own recent bad relationship woes that have brought possible danger to her. A sleazy stepfather gets caught out in the mix and gets his comeuppance when Anna’s lawyer comes good. Instant heat and a feisty female in Anna, who isn’t afraid to grab what she wants. She has gotten Oliver out of his sad phase in his home life, alone until he met her. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.
I really like this one. Just a little different from the first two books in the series in that the female MC, Anna was a little more bold, upfront, no nonsense young woman. I really loved her attitude…no bs with this one. She was the right match for Oliver. Oliver, known as being a very private and secretive person, felt immediately drawn to Anna and was willing to let some of his barriers down and let her in. Their attraction was intense and HOT. I loved how everything worked out in the end how they were able to choose love and not obligation. Nice read!

Sophie Stern has written a 5-star book. Anna needs a lawyer after she finds out that her inheritance has a tiger clause in it. She has to marry a shifter before she turns 25 in order to get the inheritance from her father and if she doesn’t then it goes to her stepfather Carl. Both of her parents are gone and Carl has never like her. She tells Joyce about the Tiger Clause and Joyce tells her to be at the office so she can talk to one of the lawyers. When she gets to the law office she has words with a man standing outside. She walks in and starts talking to Joyce and she takes Anna back to the office of Oliver Lyon. She can’t believe it when the man from outside walks in and she finds out that he is Oliver Lyon, her lawyer. Things heat up between Oliver and Anna and they go upstairs to his place. It has been a week since she has seen or spoke to Oliver and she doesn’t know if he was able to get her case on the docket for the judge. She is at home and getting ready for bed when she feels like someone is watching her. She turns on her light and that is when she sees her stepfather Cael in her room. She asks him what is he doing there in her house? He asks her what she thinks she is doing talking to a lawyer? Carl tells her that she is not going to get her inheritance from her father since no one is going to marry her. About that time Oliver comes in and wants to know what he is doing in his fiance’s home? Carl doesn’t answer but he asks Oliver what he is doing there. Oliver tells him he came to see his fiance and didn’t expect to smell fear when he walked up. He tells Carl that he has called the police and they should be there in a few minutes. Anna asks Oliver what he meant when he told Carl that he was her fiance and Oliver tells her that she has to marry a shifter and it may as well be him. After they talk to the police, Oliver tells her to pack a bag since she is going back to his place for the night. They can get her back door fixed the next day. Things go good for Oliver and Anna until the day the case goes before the judge. He looks at the paperwork and calls is bull*hit. When they get back to Oliver’s apartment he tells her that now she doesn’t have to marry anyone least of all him.
Will Anna and Oliver realize that they don’t want to be apart and stay together?
This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

She has no idea what a Tiger can really do
The third book in the Shifters At Law series finds Anna and Oliver doing battle with a Tiger Clause in her father’s will. Anna is in a bind as her father’s will has a clause that states she must marry a shifter or love her trust fund. But she does not believe the father that loved and doted on her would do such a thing. Instead she thinks it is her evil step-father and mother who changed the will and forged his signature. Intent of fighting this she hires Oliver Lyon of Casa, Fee and Lyon law firm. What she does not know is that her life is about to change in ways she never dreamed and will work out for the best in the end. Oliver is a tiger shifter who has it all except a woman/mate to share it with and a bunch of babies/cubs running around. But that all changes when Anna walks through his door and it is a Zing and Pow.
I received a copy of this book for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
Anna is in trouble. She’s learned that there is a Tiger Clause in order for her to get her inheritance. She goes to see Oliver who has his own law office because there is a deadline and she needs to know what to do. Oliver finds that Anna’s stepfather is threatening and knows that Anna is afraid so he does the next best thing and that’s to marry her and move her to his house. There is more to the clause when Oliver first looks at it and he finds that there is something that could change everything. I couldn’t put the book down until I found out what was going to happen to Anna and Oliver. I would highly recommend this story. Sophie Stern has fast become a must read author for me, she has a way of writing a book that keeps you interested all throughout the story. Her characters are delightfully flawed but oh so wonderful that you can’t help but cheer for their happily ever after. Oliver and Anna’s book is about finding your mate when you least expect it and know that you have to fight to get your happily ever after. This book has everything that you could want; comedy, action, drama, conflict and of course hot romance. You really don’t want to miss any books in this series!

Really cute, really sexy story! It wasn’t over the top erotic but just enough for this story and really hit the emotions and good things that I want in a story like this.

Anna comes to the law offices because she learns after her mother passes that part of her inheritance includes a Tiger Clause. She goes to see Oliver about it because the deadline is coming up and she needed to know what she could do. When Oliver found her stepfather threatening Anna in her place and knew she was afraid he decided he would marry her himself. He had the cops take her stepfather for what he did and told Anna that he meant what he said. He took her home with him and things got heat. When he was able to look at her paperwork he finds something stunning that could change everything. Will their relationship change after Oliver tells her what he has learned?
This is an amazing story that will hook you in the first chapter and leave you wanting more with the last one. I can’t wait for the next one in this series each one is better than the last. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Tiger Clause is book three in Shifters at Law series by Sophie Stern, and is full of action and romance.
This book will keep you up late as you eagerly wait to devour the end of the story, anxious for the next book to arrive.
Ms. Stern does an amazing job bringing the characters to life, and you feel like your hearing about a couple of friends instead of reading about some fictional characters.
I’ve read several books by Ms. Stern now, and I love each one more as it comes along. If you haven’t read a book by Ms. Stern yet, I highly suggest you read one of her stand alones or Wolf Wolf Case, the first book in the Shifters at Law series, you won’t be disappointed.
This wonderfully well-written story and book 3 in Shifters at Law Series was intriguing as it had some very well-thought out scenes and story plots. These characters have very strong wills and personalities and their interactions are believable. This wonderful story has the following: intrigue, twists & turns, adventure, action, danger, love, steam and a HEA. It is a must read from one of my favorites, Sophie Stern

Will Anna proposition Oliver to marry her to get her inheritance?

Anna will not get control of her trust away from her step father unless her lawyer, Oliver, can help her with the Tiger Clause. I read this novel in one sitting and enjoyed it.

Tiger Clause is book 3 of the Shifters at Law series by Sophie Stern. A fast paced steamy shifter romance between Oliver and Anna with a happy ending that continues where Bearly Legal ended. Oliver is one of three lawyers at the shifter law firm that agreed to help Anna as a favor for Joyce. I enjoyed reading Tiger Clause and looking for to reading Sargent Bear.
