Forget the wrong side of the tracks. These two shifters are from opposite sides of the food chain. Sergei is a tiger-shifter who lives by a set of rules as clear as the stripes on his fur. Steaks should always be served rare, catnaps are the best naps, and prey should never try to be predators. Tabitha was a horse-shifter with a love for lists and a yen for a little adventure. Then she ate the … a little adventure. Then she ate the wrong vegan doughnut and woke up with a new hairdo, a horn, and some serious anger management issues. If this is what adventure is like, she’s ready to go back to being boring.
He’s been hired to train shifters in the art of survival.
She’s just trying to get a handle on her new reality.
When destiny throws a librarian and a TV star together, tempers will flare, passion will burn, and someone’s going to get horny.
Tiger and the Unicorn is part of Eve Langlais’ Furry United Coalition F.U.C. EveL World.

So much shifter fun…
Tabi and Sergei were everything in this hilarious, quick romp through survival training! This was a novella but, by the delightful end, I still felt like I knew who these characters were. From the physical sparks to the meeting of their minds, they couldn’t be more opposite – in both human and shifter forms – but that didn’t seem to matter as they filled the empty spaces neither realized they had…
The prey, the predator – there were no locked in stereotypes here as the saved became the savior and vice versa. And all of it had me smiling through it all… Unicorns are real!
I’m new to the FUC Academy world but if this story is what lives there I need to sign up asap!
*I happily reviewed this story
Tiger and the Unicorn is a hoot from the start. Just all of the acronymns, the chest puffing tiger, Sergei and general fun reading. Sergio stumbles across timid Tabi, but then things take a turn and get really interesting. Sergei and Tabi have to work together in more ways than one when the bad guys show up. This was a fun read that just sped by. I really enjoyed the banter and witty reading. The real lesson here is don’t eat vegan donuts… or don’t eat vegan? .. or don’t eat donuts? .. Maybe it is just read the book and have a great laugh.
Tiger and the Unicorn is a stand alone romance set within the FUC Academy world. Tabitha is so excited when she gets the chance to meet the famous Sergei, but when he offers her a chance at adventure, she can’t help but say yes. Facing their attraction is easy, but battling scumbags is something neither was expecting. Fighting for their lives, can a tiger and a battle-corn find safety and love?
Oh my goodness, I absolutely loved this book! Ms. Hayes combined her writing into the FUC Academy world effortlessly, and I thought Sergei and Tabitha’s romance was so fun! They might have been an unlikely team, a tiger and a unicorn, but they were strong, fearless, and had a heart open for adventure and love. Tabi was so sweet, never quite knowing if she was enough or if she should let her prey or predator side win. Sergei is bold and brave and a bit cocky, but I loved his confidence, I loved that he went after what he wanted, and I loved how he responded to Tabi. He helped build her up and see things that she was missing, and she helped save the day as well as bring a new adventure into his heart. I really enjoyed them together! I loved the aspect of danger present in these pages, I love their passion and joy found together. I thought the ending was really good, with still a few mysteries that I’m hoping future books might uncover, yet still completing Tabi and Sergei’s romance! Such a great book to entertain and sweep you away!
Such an exciting adventure!
Well, a librarian and a TV star met up in a training camp…
I really enjoyed this book! It satisfied my sense of adventure, tickled my funny bone, and still had plenty of time for a fantastic romance. Sergei and Tabitha are seemingly worlds apart in temperament and lifestyle, yet, in truth, they are made for each other. So many chills and thrills! You won’t want to miss this.
Wow.. this book was funny and steamy. Mix a tiger and a unicorn with anger issues and you get one wild adventure. Sergei and Tabi are about as opposite as you can get. He is a predator, she is use to being the prey… not so much now. She is bada$$ and now they prey becomes the predator..all because of a vegan donut. Really???? Well you have to read to find out that part. This book had me hooked and on the edge of my seat. I did not want to put it down.
RomCom is not an exaggeration, it was LOL funny. Some of the acronyms are a bit over the top, but that goes with the humor. Like something so ugly that it’s cute.
Sergei and Tabitha are such a great pairing. An alpha tiger and a horse turned unicorn. Tabitha goes from prey to predator and doesn’t know how to be.
This is the first book I’ve read in this series. I can’t wait to start book one. Series like this are a great way to find new authors. Many different stars in one Universe. I have been a fan of Susan Hayes for years, so I was not surprised at all with how much I enjoyed this story.
I received an early copy for review.
Strap in for some sexy silliness. This sassy tale will have you rolling in the aisles. Sergei is a tiger-shifter alpha-hole and Tabitha is a unicorn shifter with anger issues, a brain and sass out the wazoo. I flat out love this book. This is part of the FUC Academy world but can be read standalone.
This is one of those stories that suck you in and doesn’t let go. Fast paced and easy to read it feels like watching a movie while you’re engrossed in the storytelling. Fated mates? Probably, but it’s not that in your face. Tabi is rather shy and self conscious, but she has admired Sergei from afar for years. Sergei has no lack for confidence, maybe Tabi will be a welcome distraction. When they are together though they just click. And when survival training turns into a dangerous trek they find out just how well they work together. Great read!
Fight or flight
This book is a hilarious mashup of alphabet soup that is a perfect addition to the FUC academy world. I love the characters, this gentle battle-corn is no shy my little pony, and her tiger is a take charge alpha who lives for adventure. Together they are the perfect pairing of predator and prey. The author did such a fantastic job of describing the scenes that I felt like I could smell the cold in the air and feel the bullets whizzing by. I enjoyed the way their maiden adventure brought the two of them together and just maybe to their HEA. I hope the author continues to bring us more stories like this, she just has a knack for finding the right mix of action and humor to her stories that keeps you on your toes and longing for more.
