Tyler Grace was many things.A killer. A myth. An outcast. A hero.My prince. My childhood and innocence were stolen when I was kidnapped at five years old. For eleven years I clung to my childhood fairytale books, waiting for the prince I hoped would someday save me and carry me off to a happily ever after. I had no idea my savior would come in the form of a scarred recluse, covered in tattoo’s, … come in the form of a scarred recluse, covered in tattoo’s, who can’t–or won’t–speak a word.
But the moment our eyes met I knew he was the one. My prince.
Tyler Grace is haunted by his tragic past and he’s sentenced himself to a lifetime of solitude in the woods. He’s as lost in society as I am; scarred just as much on the inside as the outside. Just like me.
He saved my life that day he found me and killed my captor with his bare hands. I was warned to stay away from him. But I can’t stop thinking about him. I ache to hear his voice and see him smile. And I want nothing more than to be the one to break through his walls.
I think he’s the only one who can break through mine, too.
Together we can have love, happiness, and a closeness that once felt impossible to have. But can we overcome the horrible twisted past that ties us together?
** Tied can be read as a single book.
more
Wow. I have the BIGGEST book hangover right now. That was fucking amazing and I didn’t see the twist coming. And the bonus scene made me cry. (But not bad cry) I don’t even know what to say about this book. Carian Cole has a way of injecting magic into her stories without writing PNR. There is a sense of “fated mates”and fairy tale magic in the pages even as she sometimes touches on darker themes. Like me, Carian writes about broken people coming together for unconventional relationships. Though she does it in a very different way from me.
I don’t even know what to say about this book except that it was perfect and I was so happy to see Tyler and Holly get their HEA. This one has some triggers and darkness (though not from the Hero) but definitely worth it.
So now I’ve made it through pretty much all of Carian Cole’s catalog and I eagerly await the audio release of Asher in September.
Oh My Giddy Aunt, This Book was so good, a real heart-rending tragic narrative of events that when tied together make a catalogue of disasters that are so awful for both Tyler and Holly, yet needed to occur so these two damaged individuals could be exactly where they stand now together, United, mirrors to each others pain and anguish.
I have read quite a few books by the talented Carian Cole adoring each and every one, but I can Honestly say Tied is my hands-down favourite, a poignant tale of friendship, love and the healing that comes from finding the other piece of you.
So Tied is really the story of Holly and Tyler, two very intense characters.
Tyler, Scarred, antisocial and menacing lives his life away from others in his beloved woods he condemns himself daily for events that he feels he set in motion. isolating himself from everyone that cares about him and earning himself quite a reputation in the small town he grew up in.
Holly has spent ten years in captivity, abducted by a monster and growing up in the dark, her life after the age of eight has been a tragedy, controlled by a monster who did unspeakable things to her.
Now when I originally imagined Tyler’s story, I’m not really sure what I had in mind, but this so wasn’t it, surprisingly Holly with Ty was so much better than what I had ever envisioned.
I found myself smiling as these two kooky, good weird friends connected and fell in love.
“We’re going to be weirdly good together” his raspy voice whispers. “I promise” I smile against his lips as they come down on mine again, harder this time, sealing his statement. I know we will.
god, that really is so romantic and tender, Hollys Prince.
So there we go an amazing read that ticked all my boxes and more, thank you so much to the author for providing me with an arc of Tied, this is my own personal opinion.

10+++ AMAZING stars. Beautiful. Captivating. One of my favorite stories told this year – or, ever, really.
I haven’t been able to really cry in ages. Through stresses and sadness, I’ve been denied the catharsis of tears, no matter how much I actually wanted them. Until this story. I cried for Holly & for Ty, but the most satisfying tears were shed in happiness at their fairy tale ending to this chapter of their story.
HIGHLY recommend this. TOP READ. : )
Tied to be freed!
“He’s not prince material, and he never will be.
Everyone knows there can only be one prince, and I’ve already found mine.” – Holly
Tied is a beautifully tragic and resounding story of Tyler and Holly’s ability to be brave, defiant, and loving despite the “ugliness” of life. As an emotional, dark, new adult romance, Tied hones in on all twists and turns of fate, fantasy, and reality, churned together: tragedy, abuse, chance, and survival. We learn that Monsters are real, but so are happily ever afters (after some ever-evolving personal growth).
“Your heart, your body, every part of you is yours. And you decide who gets to touch you from now on.” – Tyler Grace
As the second book in the All Torn Up series, Tied can be read as a standalone. I highly recommend that Book 1–Torn should be read as well (see review). Still new to Carian Cole’s novels, I continue to fall deeper and deeper in love with her stories. The avenues taken with her writing is always deep, sensual, and caring. Ms. Cole’s writing is an all-consuming experience, always taking you for an unforgettable journey.
“I feel reborn.”
I look forward to reading additional novels by the author.

I’m In Love With A Fairy Tale Even Though It Hurts
Alternative Title: Slow Burn Romance With Two Incredibly Challenging Characters!
*read on KU. No need of sugar daddies called promo teams*
What’s this book about? (I’m trying to give as little spoilers as possible)
Tyler Grace isn’t a hero. Not your typical one, at least. But he saved Holly when she needed it the most. Together, they attempt to move forward, but their pasts are heavy weight. Will they overcome everything that’s hindered them from finding happiness before?
This was my second Carian Cole read, and it was as captivating as my first which was Torn. I was intrigued by Tyler’s short appearance in Torn, and I wanted to know more. Now that I’ve read an entire book about him, I’m glad that I picked this story up! This was a fast-paced story in itself but also a very grounded emotional journey. The relationship is slow-burn, but in the end, pays off. The characters are attempting to fix their issues, and that doesn’t happen overnight. It wasn’t as steamy as Torn, but that was ENTIRELY appropriate, considering what both of these characters went through. Holly’s lovely and adorable. I wanted her to find her happy ending because she truly deserved something that would grant her all the happiness in the world. She went through a lot, and she evolved. Tyler is dark and broody, but he has a heart of gold somewhere if you manage to dig deep enough. He’s also hilarious, and he and Holly manage to have some light banter moments that are very entertaining.
AND, GUYS, I have to tell you, just when you think you know everything, Carian Cole drops the biggest twists that blow up your entire belief system of right and wrong and karma and fate. I didn’t expect this AT ALL.
I have to say the epilogue spooked me. It was a happy ending, but it was spooky (It’s just me though).
I recommend this story to lovers of darkness, character development, and an intriguing lead couple of outcasts that are extremely relatable.
5 perfect stars!! Man, Torn was one of my favorite books of all time so I knew the bar was set high for this book and Carian Cole smashed right through it. This isn’t unicorns and rainbows but real life tragically beautiful love. Holy shit. Well now two of her books are in my favorite books of all time list.
This is book two of the “All Torn Up” series and I believe can be read as a stand alone. But if you read my first sentence the first book is fantastic as well.
This story is about to tragically broken souls. Whose tragedy’s end up bringing these two together. But can two unstable and tortured souls make it as one happy couple?!?!
First of all can I say that ending was phenomenal! Man oh man. I feel like I don’t have enough good words for this book. I was drawn to Tyler right away. He is more my type. And I was not let down at all. He was everything I though him to be and more. I am curious how his “needs” were met or if he let that go. But other then that what you see is what you get with Ty. Man he is absolutely broken and bad ass. What can I say, animal lovers will always be at the top of my list.
“How bizarre. How stalkery. How romantic…”
What was done to Holly is unimaginable, my heart ached so many times in this book. How she was treated after made me sick to my stomach. Tyler was her saving grace. But I won’t give him all the credit. She overcame. She pushed forward. She is amazing.
I am so happy I read this book. I was nervous because I loved Torn so much that this book wouldn’t live up. But this was like a whole separate book. Different issues. Different lives. Yet same characters. Tyler proved himself. I felt so much at the end of this book that I had to just sit in silence and absorb it all. I have only read from a handful of authors who can reach me at my core. Yes I have read some great books but these are journeys and they are meant to make you accept and struggle with the characters. I am now a forever fan, can’t wait to start the “Ashes & Embers” series. I hope my heart can take it.
This is another book that urge you as a reader to read. As
soon as you can. You have already missed out this long. And please if you have already read, leave a review and share the every loving shit out of this series. I will be sitting here, not so patiently, waiting for the next book of this series.
I stayed up until 5 in the morning to read Tied and I haven’t been able to read anything else since then. BOOK HANGOVER! So beautifully written.
Tyler Grace is living a solitary life in the woods after his life is destroyed by fire, drugs and alcohol. He just can’t deal with people with good reason after everything that has happened to him. But the day he finds a girl imprisoned in an underground bunker and ends up killing her captor in self defense, his life changes.
Holly was abducted at five years old and eleven years later she’s rescued by her prince. After years of using her childhood fairy tales as a coping mechanism during her captivity, she just has to believe in magic. And lo and behold, it’s Tyler Grace who fits the part, even though others call him monster.
When Holly returns to her family, it’s not all quite what she expected. She’s got some serious issues due to her captivity (this is done very well) and Tyler is the only one she’s able to talk to after her parents aren’t handling the situation at all. I felt so bad for Holly — her mother rejects her, her father is non-existent, she’s sent away to “recover” and if it wasn’t for her brother, Tyler and her roommate, she’d have no one.
Holly changes Tyler as much as Tyler helps her rejoin the world. They both have trauma they are recovering from and they help each other get to a better place. While this story in itself reads like a fairy tale, I did like that about the writing. The pacing is great, the story doesn’t get too maudlin considering their history, and it’s great to see both of these characters find a new and better place for their lives.
Tied will leave you with hope and happiness and keeps you engaged until the final pages. My only complaint is that everything gets wrapped up in a pretty bow at the very end and disregards the difficulties in their reality — but I guess that’s what makes it a fairy tale. Probably my favorite book from this author at this time.
Tied is book 2 in the All Torn Up series and there is truly only one way to describe this book and that is heartbreakingly beautiful. First I would like to thank the author for choosing not to go into detail about what was done to Holly. She choose to give words that described Holly’s ordeal and the reader is able to form the picture and believe me I didn’t need actual details on what happened to a 5 year old in captivity for 11 years. Holly is eventually rescued by Tyler a recluse who lives in the woods and hides from the world after a tragic event. I loved how their friendship developed and how Holly eventually learned to trust a man. She also showed Tyler that he is beautiful despite the horrible scarring. Although the events that brought these two together were painful, their love story was beautiful. When I reached the end I wished for more. I wanted to see Tyler reunite with his brothers and mother and I wanted to see them manage being in public together. I was thrilled to read that the author plans to write more with this couple.
4.5 stars and the best ending ever
I absolutely love when a person that is “broken” learns they are more than their experiences. I love when a victim gets their “light” back. I love what I call a second chance at life. Both of these characters, sometimes I have to remind myself they aren’t real, are alive but not exactly living. They exist in limbo. Tied together in the most unusual way.
It’s a horrifically beautiful story made to tear your heart apart. A weaker person would run from their issues. I cling to their imperfect imperfections. It’s a beautiful book, a beautiful story with some ugly things.
I teared up in several places but what effected my control the most was the ending. I still have tears sliding down my face rereading it in my mind.
Before you write your own version in your mind, read Tied to know what truly happens.
sigh, just….sigh
reviewed for Sweet Spot Sisterhood
Another beautifully written story by Carian Cole. Just when I think she couldn’t write a better book than Torn or Talon, she most definitely proved me wrong. I loved it from beginning to end. Tyler and Holly’s story is very emotional, passionate, romantic and intense at times. It so romantic and touched my soul. Their story deals with sensitive subjects however Carian wrote it with tact and finesse. You are aware bad things happen however it’s not too graphic to where you can’t read it. Trust me you will not want to put this book down and will devour it in one day like I did.
Holly is abducted as a child and is gone for ten years. Tyler comes along rescues her from her captor. Tyler is viewed as the town psycho, he is a recluse due tragedies that he has endured and battles with his own demons. Holly believes in fairy tales and she believes Tyler is her prince. He becomes her savior and rescuer from all aspects. At the same time, Holly breaks through Tyler’s rough exterior and shows him unconditional love. Both characters find strength within each other that develops into a truly romantic and beautiful relationship. In the end Holly’s fairytale comes true and both of them get the HEA they truly deserve.
I read a kindle copy of this and NEED it in paperback and audio. I loved this book so much that I NEED it in every format. Tied is an incredible story filled with pain, longing, heartache, hope, that bring two damaged people together to find a sweet, gentle love. The characters, Tyler and Holly, and everything they went through separately tugged at my heartstrings. The pain they harbor separately brought them together. Everything they endure together warmed my heart, forcing it to overflow with happiness and hope for them. This is a carefully written, emotional, and beautiful story. I absolutely LOVE it.
Tied is book 2 in the Devils Wolves series. It could be read as a standalone but just a fair warning…once you read one of this author’s books, you will need to read them all!
Tyler Grace is a recluse who refuses to even speak to his family. He rescues Holly and they find themselves connected in so many ways. Both are scarred and damaged on the inside and out and both feel like outcasts from their small town.
Holly Daniels has a lot to cope with while trying to find out how and where she fits in. I love how the author gives us enough background to break our hearts, but not break our spirit, and then in the end enough to hope for the best, but knowledge that it isn’t all rainbows.
“Sugar. This… what we’re dealing with right here is reality. It’s ugly and it f*
Meet Holly. Kidnapped as a child, scarred and damaged. Lost to her family and friends for 10 years until Tyler finds her and her dog hidden in a hole in the ground. Found but still feeling lost in a world that makes no sense to her. 18-year-old Holly tries to re-acclimate herself to life, choices, and long-lost family. While still clinging to the fairytales that kept her hope alive through all those long years in captivity.
Tyler scarred and damaged from a past he’d rather forget. He believes he’s undeserving of love and compassion, living in a self-imposed exile cut off from most of his family. Content with the peace he has found until stumbling across Holly. Now he dreams of things that seem impossible. Holly is mesmerized by Tyler’s home in the woods, the legend that is him, and the animals he loves so completely. She dreams of him as her prince and his home as their safe haven away from the curious and judgmental people that make daily life difficult for them both.
Journey through the ups and downs, the trials and the confessions that make this love story’s happy ending seem almost impossible. Bring along the tissues as you experience a volley of emotions, the heartache, the sadness, the confusion, and finally the happiness and peace that these two innocent souls overcome and discover as their love grows.
Carian Cole tells stories like no one else, each story unique in its own way. Her writing is smooth and transitions easily from one chapter to the next. I fell in love with Ty and Holly as I have with all her characters. I cannot recommend this book enough. You will not be disappointed!
Amazing and emotional – I don’t think there was one section of this book that didn’t bring tears, from flashbacks to the prospect of a future, this book holds your heart, and you don’t want to put it down until you can finish it. Carian takes great care in dealing with several hard topics, and she works them in a way where you don’t feel that they’re there for shock, they’re there to tell the story. The characters are beautifully written, and their journey to find each other, and their happiness is perfect. Anything I would ask for would be more of their story.
I really liked Tyler, the man did things you wouldn’t expect him to do, “fine,” he replies reluctantly. “Come back tomorrow. I wasn’t ready for friends today.” I really loved this book, Holly and Tyler were perfect for each other, they helped one another cope with the different aspects that each of them needed to deal with.
This is book two in the Devils Wolves series.
Wow. Where to start.
There are lots of triggers in this book, and emotion and sorrow and pain; but it wouldn’t be a book by carian cole if the charachter’s didn’t have complex and ( yes sometimes exceedingly ) painful paths in life and their journey.
This book is a harrowingly tragic but wonderful story of how two damaged souls who want nothing but peace and normalacy can find those very things within each other. Together. Dealing with guilt, loss and feelings of being unworthy and damaged.
Tyler and holly.
Tied together by pain? Coincidence? Destiny? All of those things… but ultimately learning to move past their own pain, injuries and wounds. To find their happy ever after.
I was literally blown away. I cried big fat ugly tears and the FEELS hit me hard. But I loved and adored every minute of this wonderful book
Tied by Carian Cole is the 1st book I have read by this author, but now that I have finished, I can’t wait to start TORN (Book 1 in the Devils Wolves Series)!! Both books are standalone. I fell completely in love with her writing from the Prologue. It drew me in and I wanted to read more. I could have read the entire book in one sitting but life got in the way.
Holly Daniels was kidnapped as a young child. Held for ten years in deplorable conditions. She was starved and abused. Her unlikely hero was the small-town psycho.
A recluse who stumbled upon a covered hole where Holly and her beloved dog were put. When Tyler Grace pulled her and dog up out of the hell hole, he was almost immediately attacked by the “bad man” who had held her prisoner. After wrestling over a ten inch knife, Holly & Tyler over came and put an end to this horrible man.
Poor abused Holly was returned to her family only to feel as abandoned and alone as before. There was only one hero, one prince, and one savior to Holly and that was Tyler. Only he was as scarred, broken, and as damaged as she. Fate threw them together time and again.
The secret to fairy tales is believing in them. That’s what makes them come true. To ignite a feeling in a soul just as lonely and broken as your own. Two people met that are both ruined, broken & wrecked. Wandering around lost without a compass. To them they are both a “good weird”. They both need a happy place and seem to find it with each other. Maybe they could get through everything together.
Perhaps they can be unconditionally loved, wanted and accepted. They could be weirdly good together. Fairy tales do come true. You just have to believe!!
Ty is a man who has had tragedy hit him at such a critical time in a young man’s life.
Holly missed out on a life she should have been living. It was stolen from her in a tragic way.
Two people scarred and damaged brought together in a way that could only be fate.
They have to overcome their pasts, their fears and their anguish in order to move forward. They have been alone for so long, can they handle being together.
This was another beautifully written story by Carian Cole. I was sucked into this story and I love the reference to an even in the first book (Torn) that Ty makes. It was enough to acknowledge the other story but it was subtle enough to allow Ty and Holly’s story to stand on their own.
Characters were well developed and I couldn’t help feeling for each and everyone of them. Even if I didn’t like a character I could still understand why they were the way they were or why they reacted a certain way.
Carian Cole is a talented author, and I cannot wait to see what else she comes out with.
I LOVED this book!!!! C arian writes such beautiful stories! I have all of her books and have read them MULTIPLE times.
