Ticket To Ride is a stellar second novel in the Passing Through Series by Sarah Hegger. I loved the first book, Drove All Night, and I love this one also. She has once again written an interesting, engaging and well thought out and crafted story. The characters of Finn and Claire are funny, poignant, unlikable (in the case of Claire at first), lovable (in the case of Finn) and very realistic. Their story from the beginning to the end (Spoiler as they do get their HEA) kept me swiping the pages on my Kindle into the late night hours. Plus the secondary characters also add so much to the story-line and The town of Twin Elks also plays such a great role in these books that I really can visualize it.
I can’t wait to read the third book in this series, Walk On By.
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

Another great read from Sarah Hegger!! Finn and Claire’s story is definitely a fun read. There’s family, fun, love, drama and everything else you love in a romance book. Ticket to Ride is an entertaining read to say the least. The author does a fantastic job of grabbing your attention from the start and holding it til the end.

When two people end a marriage and children are involved, there are lots of ways people can make things easier for the children. Many people make very limited use of these opportunities.
Horace may be a bit of a bitter grump. He should own that he let his ex take their daughter with her, and he did little if anything to stay involved in her life. Turns out, when confronted, he admits to the failure to be there for his daughter.
It is perhaps true his daughter did come for money when she came to visit- and she had quite reasons for needing help.
Rebuilding a relationship like that is hard. Being judged by the whole town while doing it, harder. Getting tangled with a good but slightly damaged man in the process, possibly a little fun, yet oh so complicated.
This awesome series makes the most out of difficult and seriously awkward parts of life, helps to poke fun at them, and laugh a little- and brings new life to a dying town along the way.

This was such a good read. It picks up after book one but I feel you could enjoy this as a standalone read if you wanted. The entertaining story will capture your attention and melt your heart. I liked Finn and Claire. These were complex characters that both had their issues. Their attraction is instantanious and the sparks incindiary. There is of course, drama, tension and emotional turmoil but that is all balanced out with sweetness, humor, small town charm and romance. A great read that really uses the whole looks a deceiving and just because you believe something doesn’t make it true concepts in the best way possible.

This is the second book in the Passing Through Series. This Series is totally amazing. I love this story, and I love to see the characters from the first book, and have an update of their life. In fact, in this book we learn more about all the previous characters. Claire and Finn’s story is fun, sweet, heartbreaking and heartwarming afterward, and sexy. This couple wasn’t expected to me, while reading the first book in this Series, Drove All Night. But, I was wrong! I love their chemistry! Finn is handsome. Claire is a beautiful character. I love the mysterious Epilogue and the opening to the next book. I can’t wait to read it! I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

I found my newest book boyfriend in Finn. I so love a flirty, fun-loving (yet honorable) man. Sigh. Okay, on to the writing. This author uses very few words to paint crystal clear images in the reader’s head. You find yourself deep within a character’s mind, feeling what they feel. The support characters are equally as brilliant, and the setting is described just the right amount – not too wordy, but with enough detail to set the scene. I want to live in this small town. I highly recommend this book if you love contemporary romance with the right amount of sizzle.

I was so excited to see Finn was getting his own book, and I’m honestly so happy that his love interest was Claire. Like the rest of Twin Elks, I wasn’t a fan of Claire, but I have to say that watching Claire lose her armor and let everyone see who she really was was my favorite part of the book! Well that and watching her fall in love with Finn (& learn to love her father again!)!! I loved the whole thing! I can’t wait to see what happens with the rest of Twin Elks.

Goodness but I loved Finn & Claire! In Drove All Night, Claire is the “baddie” who hates her father & the town of Twink Elks. Everyone knows the only reason she ever visits is for money. Finn is the “other man” in Poppy’s life (but not really).
In Ticket To Ride, we learn the heart of Claire, and the truth about her past with her father and the town. And my heart broke for her, for the pain she’s been through – through no fault of her own – and there may have been tears. Finn, of the most part, seems to be a happy, fun guy. There are immediate sparks, but he resists them because of who Claire is.
A friendship is formed, and slowly Claire allows herself to learn the truth of her father, the town, and herself. I love the progression with that – and her relationship with Finn! He has his own demons to battle, and with the support of Claire, Poppy, and the town, he’s able to find himself again.
LOVED this story! : )

The characters were wonderfully complex and the story was well developed. The relationships explored in this book are poignant, and in depth. If you like books with all the feels, definitely read this one! Claire is a character you start out not caring for very much, but by the end you are cheering for her happily ever after with Finn.
