Tic: My son means the world to me. He’s all I have. His mom left us when he was born. I raised him. He’s mine. The club is my home. It’s his too. After losing too many babysitters, Brooke’s friend, Ashley stepped in to watch Jameson. She was a good girl, one I knew I couldn’t have. Until I had her. Now I want to keep her. Sometimes what we want the most isn’t what’s in front of our eyes. Things … Things change. Accidents happen and our lives are torn in half.
Ashley: I had money but I loved to work. When I quit my job and went to the clubhouse, I didn’t expect my next job to be a tiny shaggy-haired boy. Jameson quickly grew on me. So, did his dad, Tic. We became close even though we knew it wouldn’t work between us. When his ex, Jameson’s mom shows up, all hell breaks loose. No one knows where they stand anymore.

Wow! This book was one that gave me one h*ll of a surprise. Right when you have this flow going and you think you knew what was coming this author gave me one of those surprises that had me thinking that “no way that could happen” I had to re-read that portion again just to make sure what I read was actually what it was.
I don’t want to give spoilers but I can tell you that Tic is that bad*ss sexy biker with a son that will melt your heart. So grab some tissues, sit back and be ready for a story that will take you on one crazy rollercoaster ride.
“She deserves better than what I am, but something inside of me wants this.”
This book left me with my jaw dropped and staring at the wall completely blindsided. Now, if I had sat and thought about the 2 prior books in the series before, it might have occurred to me, but it didn’t, so it was a complete shock!! The insta-attraction between Tic and Ash was hot, they fought it, until they couldn’t…united against a common enemy that drew them closer still. Just when you think you know, you don’t, so don’t even try with this one. Dark, gritty, raw, real, and not for the faint of heart, so don’t jump in the pool if you can’t swim.
“Tic has made a place in my heart that no one else would ever be able to fill. I want him to stay there, burrow in as deeply as he can and never come out.”
I laughed, I cried, I swooned, and the last chapter filled me with butterflies, I absolutely loved how that was done, although giving the Author the stink eye for doing it, lol. You’ll understand because if you love MC Romance, you need to read it. I thank the Author for providing a copy to review.
“I didn’t know he had it in him to be so gentle. The man I’ve always known to be rough and unyielding is kissing me so softly I could melt into him.”

“The problem with life is reality. You can’t change that. You can’t make things happen. Life will always throw you something different.” – Ashley
Ashley was orphaned at a young age but wanted more from life than to live off her trust fund. Finding herself unemployed, she offers to babysit four-year-old Jameson for Tic, one of the members of the Soulless Bastards MC club. Tic is wary about anyone getting too close to his son, but Ashley breaks down the walls that have surrounded Tic’s heart since Jameson’s mother, Dana, deserted him and their son. Ashley soon becomes a staple in their lives, showering both Jameson and Tic with affection and kindness.
As time goes by, Tic finds himself drawn more and more to Ashley; fight the attraction with all his might, still he succumbs to it. Tic and Ashley begin a new life journey together, taking it one day at a time, seeing where this overwhelming attraction might lead.
“She’s giving me a piece of herself without even realizing she’s doing it. My head tells me to run, but my heart tells me to stay.” -Tic
But a darkness is coming, encroaching upon the newfound happiness between Ashley and Tic. Ashley is accosted at the mall while shopping with Jameson. She’s told that Dana is coming for Jameson and Tic. Dana wants them back. Ashley is frightened but stands her ground and tells Tic what happened. The club gears up for war, but Dana slithers through the cracks and grabs Jameson. Tic attempts to confront Dana and falls victim to her; Ashley follows to save Tic and is attacked and brutalized as well.
When the club locates Dana and Jameson after many days of searching, Ashley insists on going on the rescue mission with Tic. Someone must be there to stay with Jameson while Dana and her crew are dealt with. The confrontation takes place, and as Tic is attempting to deal with Dana, Ashley sneaks into rescue Jameson. In one world shattering moment, death rains down on the club, and lives are lost.
Tic is devastated, and retreats from the world. But Tic can’t remove himself from the world completely; he has Jameson to care for and must be strong. Somehow, someway, Tic must find the strength to rejoin the world, and perhaps, find another forever love.
Very fast paced, gritty, real: everything I have come to expect from Erin Trejo. She pulls no punches with her novels; doesn’t try to pretty it up with fancy settings and fine manners. It’s down, it’s dirty, it’s reality. Once again Erin’s giving you a peek into a shadow world: one that exists beside us, but for most of us, it’s an invisible one. Some sexual content and profanity, meant for mature audiences of 18+.
First off, let me say, that I love this author and her books. I was really looking forward to TIC as the first two in this series was awesome. Tic was good, but it was not my favorite. It felt a little disjointed and the twists and turns, which I normally like, didn’t seem to flow very well. I can’t really say more without leaving spoilers- which I hate when others do. Overall, it was a good book and I will be reading the next one that comes out for sure!
This book was amazing. It had my attention from the first page to the last word. I’ve rooted for Tic and Ashley, then cried my eyes out for them.
I was happy that he got a second chance at happiness. I loved the character of little Jameson, was a cute and engaging little boy.
Ms. Trejo, you had me from-hello.
My emotions were all over the place and in my opinion that is the mark of a great book.
JUST WOW! What an amazing read that had my emotions on a rollercoaster ride from start to finish. May I start by saying the author has written an amazing storyline, even if I did want to scream at her a time or two. The storyline is full of action, drama, romance and suspense all dealing around Tic and his son, Jameson.
Tic has been raising his son alone since Jameson was a month old and his mother left them. He’s a great kid that will have you grinning from ear to ear as you read along. As for Tic, he’s a rough, tough biker with a chip on his shoulder but one thing is for sure he is totally devoted to one two things: his son and the MC/brotherhood.
There is so much I want to say in this review but I refuse to spoil this one. All I can say is it is Totally a MUST READ. The twists, turns and surprises will have you on the edge of your seat and your emotions will definitely take a wild ride but the book is so worth it. I can’t recommend Tic enough. This is one book if I could give it more stars I definitely would, 5 just doesn’t seem enough. 2 Thumbs Up for a phenomenal read and Kudos to Ms. Trejo for a job extremely well done.
I don’t know how to put in words how this book affected me, but I am going to try. It was heartbreaking, so so heartbreaking. When the tragic events occurred it ripped my heart out, then my heart was repaired when Tic finally found his happily ever after.
Tic is a grumpy single father of a precious little boy, Jameson. It is clear Tic loves his little boy in every action that he does, but he has chooses a string of “babysitters” that are questionable. Then Ashley comes storming into their lives and takes on the babysitting duties of J. Ashley being Brooke’s friend is trusted with Jameson. After seeing the way Ashley interacts with J, Tic can’t help but see her in a whole new light. They’re happy days of being a mini little family are coming to an end when Tic’s ex wife really wants J back. She would do anything and everything to get Tic and J away from Ashley and their happiness together. Ashley would lay down her life to protect J and that’s just what she did. My heart broke for Tic and J as they lost two people that meant the world to them in just one day. Then something amazing happens and Tic lets another in but she has suffered a great tragedy also. Will these two broken souls be able to heal each other?
I highly, highly recommend this book. Even though it’s the third book in the series it can be read as a standalone, but why would you want to? I can’t wait for the next installment in this series!!!
An emotional heartwrenching beautiful love story.Ashley and Tics amazing love story.Love this book,Very addicting.Need more
Wow, what a emotional charged story. I couldn’t help but cry. I got so invested in characters, that it hurt. There is so much twist and turns in this story.
Don’t forget your tissues with this story.
We finally find out more about Tic, and he grabbed my heart and wouldn’t let go.
Erin Trejo did amazing on this book, and threw twist and turns throughout book. And kept you guessing.
I recommend this book, and series.
This series just gets better and better, first we had Declan, then his cousin Mayhem and I fell in love with both of them, now we have the other cousin/brother Tic and oh boy, this family sure produces some loveable hunks, anyway onto the story, Tic has a son whose mother left when he was a baby, he loves Jameson and is a good dad, but is in need of another babysitter, this is when Brooke’s friend Ashley comes in to help out, now not only does she come to love Jameson, but, both her and Tic start to have feelings for each other. Of course happiness doesn’t last and trouble always comes around the corner, and that one is Tic’s ex, Jamesons mother.
This is another one of those books that you cannot put down, it grabs you from the start and in the heart and just hangs on.
Just make sure to have those tissues handy.
I received a copy and I am voluntarily leaving my own honest opinion
Title: Tic
Author: Erin Trejo
**RECEIVED AN ARC FOR HONEST REVIEW**
I have held off writing my review for some time. Not because it is a bad book, IT ISN’T. I really needed to think how I felt about the story and characters.
At first I really felt as if there was nothing of depth in the lines written. As I read I realized it was intentional. Tic is emotionally closed. His baby mama left after their child was born leaving Tic to raise his son as a single father. His heart was torn in two but more over the betrayal and hurt this may cause or eventually cause his son. He has blocked himself off from happier emotions unless he is with his child. Trejo’s writing reflects this. As he suddenly finds himself loving and opening up we feel those moments of intense feeling only to revert back to “soulless”. Until Tic finds himself and understands what he wants, who he is, and willing to break free of the ice past betrayals have encased him in, he cannot accept the love of others.
Truthfully, not my favorite book but still a good read. It will RIP your heart from your chest but grin knowing eventually everything will be ok. Tic’s ol’lady isn’t my fave. In his heart of hearts he knew it had to be.
Erin Trejo is a very talented author who is always pushing the envelope and proving she has the talent and ability to continue being a powerhouse in this industry.
5 STAR Review by Jodi for Ruby Red Romance Review
Oh holy hotness. This book was everything I was hoping for and more. I’m pretty new to Erin Trejo, but I fell in love instantly with her writing. I loved Jameson with all my heart. Who wouldn’t. But not to be outdone by this sweet boy, Tic stole my heart as well.
Just when I thought I knew what was going to happen, the story would twist and turn, keeping me on my toes. I found myself riding this emotional rollercoaster and never once asking to get off. I loved the chemistry between Tic and Ashley.
Please one-click this great book. I loved every second of it and I know you will also.
What I love most about this author’s work, is the fact that she doesn’t shy away from the rawness of human emotions. She drags you kicking and screaming through every heartache, every joyful moment, every dark vengeful feeling, every lustful fantasy, and then smacks you up the side of the head and rips your heart out of your chest!
I cannot get enough of this series!
The MC’s are back in force and Tic is stealing hearts and taking prisoners. This time he’s trying to finally stop messing with has sitters so they don’t run off again leaving him in a lurch. Jameson is adorable and easily wins the heart of Ashley. But as in most of this authors book it can’t be nearly this easy. Don’t do like I did and forget who is writing this story. I was right. Before it’s all said and done there will be deaths (of course), rape and beatings (once again it’s a guarantee), the loss will be staggering (isn’t it always). But when the dust settles our guys will have made it through another day in the MC’s. . . but things will never be the same.
Love this author and this group of MC’s and can’t leave out the women and children who love them. They are true blue and foul mouthed, not to mention the men are pretty amazing too. Can’t wait for more.
Wow! Just wow! Tic and Ash were great. They are definitely an example opposites attract but they work. Something was so right about them being together. They had a connection and then when you add Jameson into the mix…swoon.
This book had surprises for sure! I want to know more of what happens with Tic. I definitely cannot wait for the next book!
I loved Ashley, Tic and Jameson so much. Ashley is just floating in life and she finally finds the love and family she desired when she happens upon this beautiful little boy named Jameson in the Soulless Bastards MC, after quitting her job she falls into the role of his babysitter. Tic knows she is something different when she offers to care for his son and together they begin to build a life by taking a chance on each other. Then Dana, Tic’s ex, comes back in the picture and wants her family back and she won’t stop no matter who she hurts to get it. This is where everything in this story changed for me. I am not going to give anything away as in spoilers but I didn’t like where this book went. The story just lost me and I had no connection or feelings with how it ended. I felt let down as a reader. This won’t deter me from reading more of this series and I know it is up to the author to tell her story but for me it fell flat. The first 32 chapters I give 5+++ Stars, but the rest just fell flat for me. For others you may love this story and I hope you do, but this is my opinion on what I read.
ღ I’ve couldn’t wait to get my hands on Tic’s book.. Once I had it, I couldn’t put it down.. The storyline had captivated me from the being & just wouldn’t let me go.. I was on the edge of my seat throughout the book, specially once I hit the 80%.. I truly couldn’t walk away.. Omg Erin you out did yourself on this one.. If I could I’d give you more stars.. But hey that’s just my opinion
I’m a wreck! Twisted & wrung out! What a ride!
Now the hard part of me trying figure out how write review without a spoiler….Haha
I think all I am going say is, I don’t know whom I love more in this book –Tic or Jameson… And be ready for a huge twist in the storyline.. Just when you think you know how things are going turn ” surprise” you are wrong
one way to find out how the story play out, is to “one click” this book & find out for yourself
I really enjoyed Tic & I am excited to see what Ms. Trejo will writes next. I’ll be on Pins & needles until the next book
This is one of those books you wanna put on your “One Click”
Hope you enjoy this read & also always keep in mind this is just my opinion & my honest review
Paulette Review
I LOVED IT!
This book definitely put Mayhem to shame but in this book Mayhem kinda seemed more like his hard bad@ss self. It was exciting and suspenseful and it kept me guessing. Ashley is a beautiful soul who’s so sweet and caring and when she loves she loves with her whole heart.Tic is a gorgeous hunk of man who’s a loving single father and that love shines from him every time he looks at his son Jameson. Talk about cuteness overload. He’s adorable and so sweet. At times I laughed and I cried alot. At times I was crying so hard I couldn’t see to read. Tic is very guarded because of Dana Jameson’s mother she’s a drug addict who chose drugs over a family. Now that woman is batsh*t crazy. I love the way Ashley is with little Jameson, she treats him as her own right from the very first time she watches him. When he starts school and she and Tic take him to drop him off I was cracking up over the way Ashley was acting. It was so real I could see it happening in my mind. When Dana shows up I was instantly anxious to find out what she was planning. What they do to Ashley was absolutely horrific. I was crying again. My heart was breaking. At times the suspense was intense I couldn’t read fast enough. When the club goes after Dana I was so shocked at the turn of events I was crying so hard I couldn’t catch my breath. I just kept thinking WTF?!! No Way! I definitely didn’t see that coming. When it jumps to a year later I was kinda disappointed that it jump over the mourning period, it just didn’t seem right. I’m still not sure how I feel about Kenderly but I’m glad Tic and Jameson at least have her friendship. Little Jameson tugs at your heartstrings. Now I’m excited to find out what Kenderly’s father Hawk is up to. I highly recommend this book to everyone. The very ending was touching and it did give me alittle closure. Oh and can I just say the model on the cover is wet your panties set your crotch on fire smokin HOT!
READING PROGRESS
OMG! I’ve volunteered to review this for the author. I love reading Erin Trejo books. This is the third book in the Soulless bastards MC No Cal series. Erin does it again with another hot biker book. Tic’s life by far was so emotional, hard to read at times. But I loved this one so much. My heart goes out for Tic more than the rest of the guys. I cried so much while reading this one. You will definitely need a box of tissue handy. I couldn’t stop reading, I was so drawn into each page. This series by far is amazing. I can’t wait to read more from these guys. Please Erin give us more!!!! I HIGHLY recommend this series. Keep up the amazing work!
Well I hope u have tissues ready, I wasn’t expecting that. Ashley and Tic were an odd couple but they had love for each other and for Jameson (his son). Even with all the turmoil between his ex-wife and Ashley’s trust issues. Then there is Blu and Kinderly. As always another great book. Can’t wait for the next adventure.
