Throwback was my first book by Zeia Jameson, and it won’t be my last. The cover and synopsis of this story are what attracted me to this book This book spoke to me in so many ways because I deal with a lot of the same feelings and its truly is a struggle at times within my marriage. This book follows Livy and Jeremy’s story and you will not be able to put it down until the last page and then you will still want more. I found myself on an emotional train with these two. The author does an amazing job with ensuring you feel like you are there experiencing this with them, the emotions are raw and passionate, and they are relatable. This is a book worth reading.

5 of 5 Stars
This novel by Zeia Jameson took me on an emotional rollercoaster whilst reading it. The author had me gripped from the first page until the very last page and along the way I fell in love with Livy and Jeremy, a likeable, realistic and very relatable couple fighting for what they believe in, their love for one another. For Livy and Jeremy they met, fell in love and got married but somewhere along the way life took over. Livy never believed in Prince Charming’s and happy ever afters, whilst Jeremy believed he could be Livy’s Prince Charming, however when disaster strikes, the couple find themselves spiralling out of control and their once solid relationship crumbling. The couple seem to be growing further apart daily, however a glimpse of their happier past has Livy and Jeremy feeling hopeful for their future together. “When life-altering love becomes earth-shattering heartache, only the past can mend it”.
This was a wonderfully written love story with a difference, and that was in its realistic storyline. The chemistry between Livy and Jeremy sizzled off the page and I loved how their relationship developed over time both growing and changing. The storyline flowed nicely and along with the wonderful character building the author had me fully immersed in the book as I devoured this novel in a couple of sittings. A wonderful and emotive read which I thoroughly recommend.

5 ++++++ Stars (Deserves so many more)
I loved this author’s Jaded Lily series and can honestly say this one blew me away, it is now my favorite from this author. I love a story that feels real and this one met the mark. I adored these characters and a lot of their interaction throughout the book felt in so many ways like interactions I’ve had in my own life along the way.
This journey that Livy and Jeremy took me on in this book felt like deja vu in so many ways. Ive been married to my husband for 39 years this year and in some ways this story resembles my own, we were from 2 different worlds and had many trials through the years. I felt every emotion that was portrayed in this story, I cried and I laughed and Yes I wanted to throw my kindle a couple times. The miscommunication and taking things and each other for granted are major lessons that every married couple must learn. This story was written so beautifully, it showed the realistic side of love and marriage between two real people.
I loved Jeremy’s Mom and also Joe was a favorite of mine. This is an amazingly awesome story that I will absolutely read again and again and I can not recommend it enough.
Many thanks to this author for giving me another favorite book this year!
This is a lovely heartwarming story about 2 people from different walks of life meeting and falling in love.
Jeremy has had a good life apart from losing his dad. He had a mother who loves him completely. Hes grows up surrounding by love and is starting to become successful.
Livy is from a disfunctional family. Her childhood was hard with a mother that doesnt want her. So soon as she became old enough. She left and got a job in a bar. Thats where Jeremy and Livy meet.
Their relationship is hard as they both learn to trust one another and learn to grow together. Eventually they get married.
However after they are married the relationships takes a turn for the worse.
Can they rebuild their marriage or will it be broken for good.
Its a lovely story and shows that a relationship is hard worl and needs working on constantly. It isnt always romance and flowers. Its heartbreak and angry words but its how you come through this that makes a relationship stronger.
This book follows the characters of Jeremy and Livy. I enjoyed how it started out by literally following them from when they were little up to the present – makes it to be a nice back story on where they came from. This book has it all – it will have you laughing, and it will have you crying. Livy appears to be tough, but deep down she really is caring. Jeremy has a big heart and sees through Livy’s tough exterior to the caring person she really is. This book really was a journey.

Throwback by Zeia Jameson
Throwback is a love story that starts in Livy’s childhood and followed her to turning 18 years old and leaving her unhappy life to pursue her educating and freedom from her mom and her multiple boyfriends. Jeremy, then walks into the bar where Livy works and the connection between the two of them was undeniable. I enjoyed Livy’s storyline and her desire to be strong, independent, and to protect and care for her work family since she had never felt that sense of family before. The lives the Livy and Jeremy create together and the supporting side characters were all believable and like a family themselves. There were miscommunications, misplaced priorities, and curiosity, but overall there was love leading them in the right direction
This is my first book by Zeia Jameson, and it won’t be my last. This was such a detailed book, with such great characters and world building, I couldn’t put it down. In all honesty this is the most raw and emotional book I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading. I connected to this book from the very beginning until it was over and I was wishing it wasn’t. In this amazing story we meet Livy and Jeremy. Two people who were raised completely different, yet figured out they were made for each other. You go an amazing journey through their life, with the ups, downs and in betweens of love and marriage. I can’t even give this book the review it deserves. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I think anyone who’s ever been married or who is married should read this hands down. It’s spot on and brutally honest.
Throwback by Zeia Jameson. I love Zeia Jameson so when I saw this book I immediately knew I was reading it but I didn’t know it would suck me in and not let up until it was over. I had a book hangover after this one! Its the story of Livy who thinks she has found her prince charming in Jeremy. They have friendship, passion, love & marriage. This story shows you the true colors of a relationship. The good, bad and ugly especially after the honeymoon phase is over and you are in the real parts of life. Livy has trust issues and that causes some problems but for the most part they are happy until they are not. Their perfect relationship starts to unravel and they are both devastated. Will they be able to get back the love they once had? This book will make you laugh, cry and get a little hot under the collar! Do yourself a favor and read Throwback!
Throwback
by Zeia Jameson
This is the first time I have read a book by this author and I’m so glad I decided to read this one. This story was emotional and drew me in from the beginning. I found this story to be realistic, full of hope, and wonderful characters. The struggles of balancing life and love can be difficult and when Livy and Jeremy find themselves questioning their love will going back to remember how they fell in love help them? I found my heart hurting for them at times and rooting for them as well. We get background information on each of these characters which helps us know them better and I think that makes this book that much better. The author did an exceptional job portraying what most of us have felt at one time or another. I can’t say enough good things about this book. I highly recommend reading it.
Livy and Jeremy come from both sides of the spectrum as far as love goes. It’s like they speak two different languages and from two different planets. Livy being from Mars and Jeremy from Venus or vice versa. Livy is not one to believe in love at least the way the world has told her to believe. Jeremy is ready to prove to her that he can make all her love dreams come true.
That is, though, until everything turns their world upside down. They let the world as they know it crumble their structure and they go with the motions of the ocean. As time goes on, they realize only they can change their fate. Will memories be enough to rekindle their fire or is it too little too late?
Right now, with all that’s going on in the world, I could use this book at the right time to keep my mind during this quarantine. If you’re a relationship or marriage chick like me who believes in hopeless romantic stuff like this, it’s the book for you. I love books about romance and anything about reuniting in love. This is just that type of book for rediscovering your love for someone and doing what it takes to stay in love or find your way back to one another. This story is beautiful as you believe all that it is for the couple and their love story. Great book!
How do i start this review without giving it all away? I am blown away by this book, I’m still getting misty eyed just typing this.
This book, this story, just gave me the biggest sucker punch because this feels like someone got in my head and wrote my feelings down and gave to the world to read. I myself am a stay at home mom and unless you’ve done it yourself, you cant imagine the feelings of depression, isolation and every other emotion you read in this book.
I loved this story. The character building, the blossoming romance, the trust, the fight, just the true raw emotions. This author just let the feelings flow out and they were nailed!
Read this book, everyone knows someone who feels this way, from either character, and it will help open your eyes.
What a wonderful love story, while not traditional for romance books, this was the most realistic I’ve ever read.
This was such a refreshing take on the happily ever after love story that is the typical novel I tend to read and enjoy. I loved how this read almost like a docu series on love and relationships in the real world. I absolutely loved how realistic and connective Livy was for me as well as Jeremy. These two are forced to face life and all the obstacles that it tends to throw in our faces and work through them. They have to remember why they started the journey together in the long run and put in the work and this novel is the outcome of all of this. I sincerely enjoyed how well this read and was an easy one to digest in a rainy afternoon. I needed something to curl up with a warm tea and my blankets and get lost in and this book couldn’t be a more perfect choice for that. I am anxious to see what Zeia Jameson will conjure up for us in her next novel. I do recommend her other novels as a good stand in while you wait!
This was my first book by Zeia and I look forward to reading more. This book was more of a reality love compared to all of the fiction romance I read. After a while when a relationship gets real and couples got through the ups and downs this is what you will read about and it’s refreshing but at the same time emotional. I really liked the main characters and I love how Zeia had their past and present in there so you could really get to know the characters. I’d recommend especially if you want an easy read.
Throwback by Zeia Jameson is a slow story but also a beautiful story. Zeia gives us an honest and unforgiving look at relationship and life and expectations and the ability to really listen. I really enjoy Zeia’s storytelling as no matter what she writes she has this magical ability to get right to the heart of a matter and her writing leaves you with a very poignant way of looking at things. Being an adult with starting a new business, looking after your relationship and then becoming a mother is enough to send anyone bonkers but doing so whilst feeling alone and still having issues from your past will certainly send you around the bend. Zeia is a go to author for me and Throwback will definitely tug on those heartstrings and make our hearts soar and ache at the same time. Jeremy and Livy made me laugh and cry and were absolutely fabulous characters.
This story was an emotional roller coaster for me. I thoroughly enjoyed this story. The setting set up this romance in my mind. The characters are complex and full of zeal. They are full of emotions that may send you to places of your own life. Do you remember your first love? What would have happened if your love comes back to you? Livy and Jeremy’s story has the question of will love be able to grow even though you fell out of love. There are some moments that will tug on your heart strings but keep reading. Will their memories of their past love be enough for them to get together again? Will Livy get her happy ever after that she believes only happens in books? Get a box of Kleenex and a comfy blanket so you can cuddle up as you read about Livy and Jeremy
Zeia Jameson has a gifted way with words and the ability to craft a very vivid and complete tale that feels effortless. This book captivated me from beginning to end. I connected immediately to the storyline and wanted to follow it to know how it would resolve, if there would still be a HEA. The characters are complete and relatable. The storyline moved fluidly. This was a great book, and one I’m thankful to add to my personal library. Buy this quickly – you won’t regret it!
Throwback is a great book by Zeia Jameson about two people who have drifted apart and are fighting to get back to one another. I have read the Jaded Lily series by this author in the past and I’m a fan of their writing.
Livy has had a very hard upbringing and sees relationships and marriage as a waste of time. She is adamant that she will never marry or have children. In fact she doesn’t even want a man in her life. That is, until Jeremy walks into the bar where she works one night and slowly but surely over the next few months starts to pull down the huge walls that she has built around her.
But as you know, the path to true love never runs smoothly. This story will take you on an epic rollercoaster journey of emotions that will leave you feeling exhausted. You will be laughing so hard that tears are running down your face then a few pages or chapters later you will have sad tears running down your face.
I absolutely adored both Livy and Jeremy. Jeremy is such an absolute sweetheart with so much patience. I admired how he dealt with Livy and her fear of committing to someone. The world needs more men like Jeremy.
If you have any doubts about reading this book then throw them away and dig in for a great read.
Throwback by Zeia Jameson was a great 5 star read.
We start by getting clips of Livy and Jermey’s childhood up to an adult. They both had different but heartbreaking childhoods. Livy was counting the days until she was 18 so she could get out and away from her mom. Jeremy lost his dad to a drunk driver when he was little and wanted to make his mom proud.
These two end up meeting at the bar Livy worked at and they had an instant connection. As they start dating they have to learn to drop their walls and learn to trust each other. They also have some challenging twists and turns.
Can these two have a HEA?
There is so much more to this great read that I don’t want to give away. This author has done a great job of pulling me in with her writing and I couldn’t put it down. Great debut novel! I loved the characters, my emotions were up and down at times with them. There are some scenes that I would suggest 18+ readers only. I am excited to read more from this author. 1-click and get started today.
The first section of this book is a nice romantic story. Seeing their past and how they got together working toward their happily ever after. The second half is where things get shaken up in their life. I sat here many times just shaking my head. At what he does and what she does. Totally frustrating. But there is a genius way for them to try to heal so they can fall in love again. The question is will it work?
This isn’t my first book by this author. I usually LOVE her work. This one I just struggled. It wasn’t the characters (I enjoyed them) it was the story telling. The first half it seemed there was too much time spent in their heads and I became easily distracted. The prologue is what kept me turning those pages (that was a great idea). The second half easily kept my interest because I was as invested as the couple was wondering “who”and “can it work”. It’s a lovely story and I did wish for their happiness. I do recommend this story because it does have a good message, its twists and turns and the characters are amazing.
Throwback by Zeia Jameson. This story gave me all the feels. I loved this story and the fact it’s different from others written by this incredible author. This story while different was just as amazing and had me up way into the night because I just couldn’t put it down. I find it hard to really find the right words to show this book the love it deserves. This story shows a more realistic view on a love story. Love can be messy and this author writes it wonderfully. I found myself completely connected to the characters and was sad when I reached the final page. The emotions written into the story were Easy to feel and made everything that much more “real”. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. Five stars all the way and highly recommended.
