The moment I saw her walk through the door of Forbidden Ink, I knew she was the one. With her wide hips, thick thighs, and perfect breasts, she’s every man’s wet dream. Add to that her dark, soulful eyes, pouty lips, and a body covered in gorgeous art, and I knew I needed to make her mine. She’s a walking contradiction of sass and strength and determination, hidden by insecurity and self-doubt. … insecurity and self-doubt. She’s everything I could ever want or need, but she doesn’t see what I see.
I want to take away her pain. To be the one to make her laugh, to make all her dreams come true. I need to prove to her that I’m not him, that no matter what, I’ll be right there beside her. Loving her.
If only she could see herself through my eyes, she would understand we were made for each other.

This book took me on an emotional roller coaster. Quinn is a beautiful and bright woman who’s self worth and value are at an all time low thanks to the psychologically abusive marriage she is in. Nikki Ash does a frighteningly good job of describing the emotionally abusive relationship that Quinn is in and the toll it takes on her mental well-being. When her husband is killed, Quinn finds herself a pregnant widower with a new lease on life. Thanks to her supportive brothers she and her daughter Kinsley are safe and happy. Enter Lachlan, sexy, charming and caring. He is mesmerized by his bosses sister and pursues her with a single minded intensity that leaves her reeling. Although years have passed, Quinn is still fragile and wary of men. She desperately tries to fight her growing attraction to the much younger Lachlan. She tries and fails as both she and her daughter fall head over heals for the sexy tatted younger man. His maturity and determination gets him the woman and daughter of his dreams and their happily ever after. A definite read. (I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review).
Oh wow, I love this book!!! This is simply awe-inspiring! It’s what you want a book to deliver. It’s one of those books that just wraps you up the minute you start reading! Nikki Ash is an amazing storyteller that has a knack that keeps the storyline running through the reader’s mind long after they’ve turned the last page. Holy Mother of Ink Heaven!!! These two characters, Quinn and Lachlan are so damn HOT together!!! Their connection is so powerful it will capture your soul and tattoo your heart. You’ll walk away with a whole new book family, not just a book boyfriend! Through His Eyes is totally enough for anyone that likes a real romance with real characters. Nikki Ash delivers another FIVE STAR MUST READ!!!
Through His Eyes by Nikki Ash
What an amazing story written by Nikki! Loved everything about it! Love the cover to the very last page!!
“In my my husband’s eyes, I was no longer beautiful. No longer attractive. I didn’t make him smile or laugh anymore. I didn’t turn him on. He saw me as a burden, a nuisance. I was no longer his queen who was meant to stand by his side. Instead, I became a prisoner he kept holed up in this condo, waiting in the background to be at his disposal.”
Loved it! Highly recommend!

This is a spin-off of The Imperfect Love series and it focuses on Quinn, Jax and Jase’s little sister; we meet them in Jase’s book, On the Surface.
This was a very sweet yet heartbreaking story about finding yourself after a horrible relationship and true love. Quinn had been through a lot right from the beginning which was quickly followed by more f*ckery because of her useless waste of a husband, Rick. However, due to karma or good luck (depending on how you look at it), Rick is no longer an issue and Quinn is free, unfortunately, that was only the beginning of her battle. Then we meet Lachlan and he was totally swoon worthy from the very first moment they met, but with Quinn’s history it wasn’t smooth sailing for the couple.
I loved that Lachlan didn’t give up because Quinn made the man work hard for it, not out of spite but because of her past and to protect the person she loved the most. Our Lachlan is not perfect however and he almost lost faith because Quinn did him dirty (in my opinion) but alas our hero continued on. I’m very disappointed that Shea didn’t get reprimanded in any shape or form other Lachlan’s polite shutdowns. Also Rick’s parents can suck a rotten egg.
I would have loved to have seen the first meeting between Kinsley and Lachlan’s parents.
This was a great read that in my opinion tackled real issues; not saying that I didn’t want shake sense into Quinn from time to time, I did, but I understood why she did what she did.
As always it was nice seeing previous characters and how their lives progressed especially Celeste and Skyla.
I wonder if Declan (Lachlan’s cousin) will receive his own book?
Jax and Willow have their own story, Finding Our Tomorrow, which as of right can only be received through the author’s email newsletter. I wasn’t aware of their book, but I didn’t feel lost while reading this book, but I will read their book because I love this series and this family.
Swoon Swoon and flat out faint. My ovaries wanted to come out and play for a guy like Lach. Okay my bad. We all have our own issues with our bodies and otherwise so seeing this from this author how could I pass it up. I mean after all, she does love to touch on those things that make her books too real and too personal so why not this. I have to admit I’m not a fan of the age-gap thing because it get’s old with the repetitive woe’s. I just wanted to shake her and say listen up chick he wants you. I mean some folks like that me not so much. I also would have liked to see more about her healing but and yes I say but, this story really isn’t about that. This is getting her to understand and see herself, through his eyes so she can openly accept him and his love for them. It’s a beautiful sonnet of love and devotion and every woman’s dream. This is what this author does and does well. It’s a love yourself see yourself type of read and yeah she doesn’t miss out on some passion too but it’s secondary to the story. Overall a wonderful read with a great supporting cast of friends and family from other books so that this standalone read feels like home.
I was so happy when I found out that we were getting this story and dear god it didn’t disappoint at all. I read this book start to finish in one go. I literally couldn’t stop reading once I started. I do have one criticism though, it needed to be about 5 times longer to satisfy my needs. I absolutely loved Quinn and how Lachlan helped her heal. It was absolute perfection.
This is one of those stories which just does not get the justice it deserves with the 5 star rating; it is really worth so much more than that!! Quinn is a single mom with a little girl, but her abusive husband had done a lot of damage mentally and she feels worthless. Lachlan works at a tattoo shop with her brothers, and is drawn to her from the moment he sees her, but will be able to convince her to take a chance with him? This is a beautifully written poignant love story which is raw, gritty, emotional, humorous, and an all round powerful story. I highly recommend this story for all readers.
Through His Eyes is a book that needs to be read! Full of emotion this book hit me in a tender spot and struck a chord with me. There’s such beautiful message woven throughout this story that many women like myself needed to hear.
I adored Quinn’s character and connected so much with her from the very start. She had such an amazing heart. I’ve never been so tied to a character before that I felt their highs and lows like I did with Quinn. I cried, laughed, swooned, cried some more and rooted so hard for her. Her journey was one that was truly beautiful to be a part of.
Lachlan was simply phenomenal. The man had me swooning from the moment he was introduced. Charming, thoughtful and just the right kind of stubborn he’s my all time favorite book boyfriend. I absolutely loved seeing the world through his eyes and how he loved with all that he had. May we all be so lucky to find our own Lachlan!!
Through His Eyes was a truly special book for me. As a reader there’s some books that in all honesty I’ll read and enjoy but with time may soon forget. Then there’s books like Through His Eyes that make their mark on me and quickly become books I won’t ever forget. Through His Eyes was an all-consuming, sweet, beautiful, raw and emotional story full of hope that will touch your heart.
Quinn has been in a loveless, abusive relationship for so long. She lost the confidence she possessed. When an accident changes her life, she gets a chance to start over. Lachlan just started working at her brother’s tattoo shop and attraction is definitely there for him. Can he convince her to give him a chance? Can she see herself the way he does?
Holy heartstrings! This baby is worth so much more than 5 stars!!! A beautiful love story about finding your one true love and knowing you are worthy of such a love. Knowing you are beautiful and worth fighting for. Finding that one person that completes you. Lachlan and Quinn are just everything. There is so much raw emotion poured into these pages as Lachlan fights for Quinn. Mini Q was the calm in all the chaos. I was so sad for this story to end. AMAZING job as always!
A sweet and emotional age gap / single parent romance with a spectacular ending!
Quinn broke my heart. She’d been beaten down and emotionally abused for so long, she didn’t know how to believe in herself anymore. Her confidence was non existent due to a extremely traumatic past. Her character had such amazing strength and drive. Quinn may have been weak in her own mind, but this book proved she was anything but. She was the strongest, most amazing and caring mother to her spitfire daughter. She was a compassionate and giving sibling. She was a trustworthy and reliable friend.
Lachlan won my heart from the moment he appeared on the page. His character was so sweet and charismatic. His heart was so big and the love he had to give was nothing short of amazing. There wasn’t a single thing I didn’t like about the hero. Well, maybe his drama queen ex, but that wasn’t entirely his fault.
Despite fighting the age difference and her broken spirit, Quinn proved she was worthy of Lach’s love, even if it took the entire book to get it right. I loved how the story played out, the HEA that the hero and heroine finally achieved and the epilogue that brought even more love and joy to this story. This was an easy read with lots of humor and some seriously steamy romance!
My only qualms about this book were that the child’s dialogue was far too mature for a 5-6yr old. It was unrealistic at times but I appreciated the fact that the author didn’t downplay the child’s intelligence and write a bunch of baby talk instead.
This book was amazing! It had just enough of everything in it. You gave me a reminder that know matter what I am Enough. That I should let anyone say other wise. I absolutely loved this book and everything that it represents. I love how patience Lachlan was with Olivia. If you just want a fantastic read grab this book!!!
Having lived through verbal & emotional abuse from the ones who are supposed to love her, Quinn has accepted & believed everything negative thrown her way. So when young, gorgeous, sexy Lachlan shows an interest in her, she shuts down & prays he moves on. One look at Quinn’s luscious curves & he knows he has to have her. Disregarding their age difference, he finds impenetrable walls Quinn has built that he finds impossible at times to break through. Will Quinn finally believe she deserves love & is more than enough?
This was an emotional, heartfelt, amazing story! A woman beat down over & over again has to find the strength to overcome her insecurities & believe she is enough. Lachlan was patient & determined to show Quinn what being loved & cherished feels like. Another fantastic book from this author!
I loved this book! Quinn and lachlan are every together. I was so excited for this book it didn’t disappoint. Kinsley her daughter is so cute.
“Oh, sweet, Quinn. I’m going to make you mine”.
Ohhhhh there’s so much I could say about this book. I’ve never been disappointed by a Nikki Ash masterpiece. Through His Eyes is no exception. To be honest, this one ranks towards the top.
Quinn and Lachlan are amazing together. I loved everything about their journey. In this book, we see Quinn work to build herself back up with love and I thought that the transformation was amazing. Lachlan is super swoon worthy.
Long story short, everything about this book was perfect. I couldn’t put it down to the point that I did extra cardio because I was reading and didn’t want to put it down to finish the rest of my workout! It was a fantastic story!
I knew I was going to love Quinn’s book but hell this book blew me away! Nikki teased me with Quinn’s change in demeanour at the end of On The Surface. I was questioning what happened to this vivacious woman? Well Rick happened, the emotionally and verbally abusive husband has isolated her and made her feel less than. I know for a fact that every woman who reads this book will relate to Quinn. When free from Rick’s hold Quinn reconnects with her brothers and tries to move on to be the best mother she can be to her daughter. 5 years on she meets Lachlan the Hero of our story, a tattoo artist working at her brothers shop, their attraction is instant and I got so excited to see how this was going to play out.
Through His Eyes is a novel about a woman who has been beaten down, regaining her sense of self, discovering how to love herself and how to be loved. How to find that part of herself away from being a mother and sister, to find her individuality and to find her missing piece. This is where Through His Eyes stood out for me, Nikki wrote it in such a way that Quinn didn’t come across as needing a man to feel whole or to feel good about herself. Nikki wrote Lachlan as someone to change Quinn’s perspective to give her confidence to love herself again and to think I AM ENOUGH!
Lachlan is such a lovable hero an all round great guy. Quinn to begin with is hung up with Lachlan being 12 years her junior; but Lachlan never lets that stop him from helping this woman see herself how he see’s her. The guy is amazing with Quinn’s daughter AKA Mini Q as he calls her, and that won me over straight away. He is Alpha without being overbearing, tender yet strong and doesn’t accept defeat. One scene in the book was so powerful, the first night that Quinn and Lachlan open up to each other and Quinn lets go and pushes her boundries. The way Lachlan talks to her, is receptive of her needs in the moment, he is sensitive without pity, he is loving and he empowers her and I just can’t get it out of my mind.
Nikki Ash has wrote a well rounded novel that is 100% relatable, it’s real, it’s passionate, it speaks a thousand words to my inner self and I want more people to read this beautiful story and love it as much as I did. Nikki’s books just keep getting better and better for me.
Wow! This one blew me away. Is it possible for this to be the best and favorite by this author? I mean i swear every time i read a new release by her i think no way this is going to be better than whatever my favorite by her is. And then IT DOES END UP BEING MY NEW FAVORITE! I loveddddd Lachlan. He saw a challenge and he conquered it! He did it beautifully. He let Quinn know she was loved for all that she is. Age is just a number. Same with weight. There will always be someone out there that will love you for the you that you are. Whether it be you have curves or not. Tattoos on half your body or snow white skin. You just have to be patient and they will come along and sweep you off your feet. Rich was a pure grade A jerk. Believe me the hatred i have for him is beyond words that i can type up. Im not even gonna waste my time of that dude. The cover is so beautiful as well. But seriously loved this book. And i hope you enjoy Quinn and Lachlan’s book as much as i did!
Lachlan and Quinn’s story was amazing! This book was such a true representation of how someone feels less after years of being degraded and put down. Quinn’s insecurities and feelings can be felt through the words that Nikki Ash has brilliantly written. This touching story just left me wowed from beginning to end! To all those who struggle with self worth remember #youareenough
Nikki Ash’s next installment of the Imperfect Love series is about Quinn and Lachlan’s romance. Quinn is in a horrible marriage and is pregnant but trying to figure out how to leave her husband when he suddenly dies. Quinn is later introduced to Lachlan and there is an instant chemistry between them. Quinn is still not confident in herself so she’s very wary of Lachlan’s intentions. When she finally lets him in their love is magical.
This story was fantastic, Quinn is amazing and until she figures it out for herself there are lots of bumps in their relationship. She is so much like every woman in some way. You will not regret reading this entire series but this one specifically pulled at my heart strings.
Quinn and Lachlan!!! Omgosh this is the best love story of the 2019!!!!! Nikki Ash, you have given us an intense, heart pounding, Gorgeous story!!!!! This book will be on my To Be Re-Read list permanently!!!!
