The moment I saw her walk through the door of Forbidden Ink, I knew she was the one. With her wide hips, thick thighs, and perfect breasts, she’s every man’s wet dream. Add to that her dark, soulful eyes, pouty lips, and a body covered in gorgeous art, and I knew I needed to make her mine. She’s a walking contradiction of sass and strength and determination, hidden by insecurity and self-doubt. … insecurity and self-doubt. She’s everything I could ever want or need, but she doesn’t see what I see.
I want to take away her pain. To be the one to make her laugh, to make all her dreams come true. I need to prove to her that I’m not him, that no matter what, I’ll be right there beside her. Loving her.
If only she could see herself through my eyes, she would understand we were made for each other.

I feel like when it comes to me writing a review for a Nikki Ash book, I sound like a broken record. All I do is gush about how amazing her books are. How flawless her writing is. How connectable her characters are. How amazing the chemistry is. How gorgeous the covers are. And its all true. For every single book by her.
I thought I was in love with her last book, and that I possibly couldn’t love another as much. Just like I felt with the book before that one, and the one before that one. It’s a never ending road of getting better and better, and falling more and more in love.
I knew from the get go that Quinn was my spirit character. (Yes I so made that up.) 😉 I couldnt pin point the why’s, because we hadn’t seen much into her, but I just knew. And I was not wrong. I honestly dont think I have ever connected with a character as much as I have with my Quinny. To see so much of myself, in such a beautifully written character, had my heart breaking and mending all at the same time. I marveled in the strength Quinn had, even when she felt she didnt. I cringed and felt my gut sink when she felt every last insecurity. I praised and celebrated when she got through those insecure thoughts and found herself and see how truly amazing she is. She is every single woman, who struggles every single day with the insecurities this world forces and pushes on us. The world’s perfection is not the same in everyone’s eyes, and that’s exactly what she finds in Lachlan’s eyes.
I didn’t think Nikki could write a more perfect male character than Killian. But once again, Nikki has proved she can and will. Lachlan is the man every woman deserves and should have. That Irish hunk, with his patiences of a saint and heart of gold, was everything Quinn needed. He showed her that one man’s trash, is another man’s treasure. It all depends on how that person sees. Beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder.
I dont think Nikki could every write a more perfect book. This book has taken ahold of my heart and has wrapped its self fully around it. This is one that will stay with me for the long haul and I will never forget. It is entwined into my soul and will forever stay there.
5 beautiful stars!! This book is perfect. Definitely adding this to my forever favorites!!
This book addresses many topics. Many of which MANY women face every single day. Abuse, insecurities, distrust, cheating, age difference love, step parents, starting over, family and so much more.
Quinn is not alone in this world. Many women are just like her and this book was what us woman needed to hear. I didn’t even realize how much I cried during this book. I cried for her pain but I also cried for her strength, and I more then anything cried for love that Lachlan gave. Sometimes that one person comes along to give you the strength to be your best. He is everything.
Lachlan is sexy as sin and I think he is one of my all time favorite book boyfriends. That accent too. Ahhhhh!! This love story was sexy and beautiful.
The author was spot on that this story is for all the woman who have never been told they are enough. This blasted that through this story and I’m in awe. Thank you Nikki for giving me this book. A lot of woman change and maybe they are insecure with their body, or a man has made them feel insecure about every single thing, or they never feel good enough but BUT before that change they were free, funny, social and a whole different person. How do they get back to where they were?!?! You fall in love again. Maybe not with just a partner but with yourself. This journey did both of those things and I am crying even writing this because I absolutely loved Quinn’s journey!!
This was a flawless page turner. So many characters, so many personalities and every single one of them (minus the exes) were amazing. I love this entire family/friends. This is a definite MUST read. You need to go along on Quinn’s journey and see what it feels like to love everything again!!
**I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book.**
Oh, I loved this story. From the chemistry between Quinn & Lach to the love between Kinsley and Lach. They made a great big family. Quinn resonated to me. Having the same thoughts about myself. I loved this!
Absolutely loved Quinn and Lachlans story! Put together a single parent, sext tattooed hero, and a sassy 5 yr old and you have another amazing story by Nikki Ash. Quinn has been through so much and you really cant help but feel everything shes feeling. At first I thought maybe the age difference would bother me but Lachlan is amazing. He is determined to prove and show Quinn that she IS enough. He was so patient and sweet with her he easily became one of my top 10 book boyfriends If I could give this book more stars I definitely would’ve! Cant wait for the next Nikki Ash book
This book was beautiful. I loved Lachlan. He is swoon worthy. So beautiful on the inside and out. I love how he was determined to break through to Quinn to get her to see herself through his eyes. Her ex did so much damage. And watching him with Kinsley was adorable. I don’t know why women get so catty. Lachlans ex was determined to be horrible to Quinn. Like how does being a horrible person make you think he would want you anymore then when he didn’t previously. Love the ending. Can’t wait for more.
This book is absolutely amazing. The characters are so relatable. I quickly found myself comparing myself to Quinn. I could see so many similar qualities between us. Kinsley is that absolute sweetest, cutest 6 year old.
Then we come to Lachlan. Every woman needs and deserves a Lachlan in their life. The way he takes his time to prove to Quinn how beautiful she truly is and how much he cares for her. He is the absolute sweetest man.
This is an absolute must read for all women.
Y’all…..
Nikki Ash will give you all the feels when reading Through His Eyes!!
I picked this book up after seeing so many ladies raving over this book and OMG I’m glad I didn’t leave it on my TBR. I freaking loved it and did not want to put it down!!
My heart is so much happier after reading Through His Eyes…I will tell you that Lachlan is what every woman love’s in a man. He is perfect!!
Thank you Nikki Ash for writing this story..It will always have a special place in my heart and I definitely see why so many woman have been raving over it!!
This book here is a must read for sure! I could hardly put this one down. I had a book hangover because I stayed up late reading it. This is one where you say one more chapter after finishing a chapter. The characters are great and instantly pull you into their story. I’m a sucker for a single parent romance and Nikki Ash is queen in that genre to me. This book hits you in the heart. It has it sad moments, but so many happy and uplifting moments. Reading Quinn and Lachlan’s story was so beautiful. Quinn’s journey to find her true self again in so inspiring. Lachlan will instantly go on your top book boyfriend list. He has so many swoon worthy moments. The scenes with Lachlan and Kinsley will melt your heart and cause ovaries to explode. The epilogue was the perfect touch in my opinion. It left me with a smile on my face and a happy heart. This is a book I highly recommend because you will not be able to put it down.
How do I put into word what this book did to me?
Firstly, I love single parent romances, and in an age gap, I was kind of sold. That was the main reason I picked the book. But I can tell you now it’s not what kept me reading it. I went in to this book not expecting what I got and I am glad that is the case. This book was full of hope, sweetness and a bit of sexiness. It grabbed me by the heart and held tightly right to the end.
Lachlan was sweet, he was kind, he was loving, but he had a dominant side that I drooled over. He was young too, but it seemed as though he was probably more mature than most his age. Another plus in my books.
Quinn was strong, she was a mother, she struggled at times, and she struggled with her insecurities from things that happened in her past but she always pushed past and got on with it. She was the type of person I would admire, and I admire the author for creating such a strong heroine. Truly one of a kind.
These two together were sexy as hell, they were sweet and I couldn’t help but fall in love with them. I loved Lachlan so much and loved how he was with Quinn…
There is so much to this story. It was raw, it was beautiful, it was sweet, funny, but still, held so much emotion. I devoured it within a day and I kind of need more of these two! Nikki Ash just gained a new auto one-click fan with this beauty. Outstanding, all-consuming, sexy, and an emotional read that I absolutely loved!
5 Stars!
I loved Quinn and Lachlan’s story. Quinn was in a bad marriage, where he cheated and was emotionally abusive, doing a number on her self esteem. Six years later, she’s raising her daughter, and meets Lachlan. Their chemistry is off the charts, but along with their big age difference, Quinn feels like she isn’t skinny or pretty enough to be with someone like him. Lachlan is determined to show her how great she really is, and soon Quinn gives in to dating him. But both their pasts come back to haunt them, and neither are sure if their future is as sure as they want it to be.
I’d definitely recommend this book.
A must read, my first book by Nikki Ash, and awesome characters. Lachlan and Quinn this couple. Looking forward to reading more of this author books!!
Quinn and Lachlan are a beautiful couple. This is a single parent with an age gap story. Quinn has some issues that is a result of a previous relationship. She is not able to shake all the things her ex had did to her. When she meets Lachlan all of those thoughts come rushing back and stopping her from opening her self up again. Lachlan is out to prove to Quinn that she is beautiful on the inside and out. He is wonderful with her daughter and shows them both that love is real and kind. This book has all the feels. This is definitely a must read.
Absolutely amazing story of a single mom struggling to find herself again. Through her pain she meets a younger man that shows her how to love again.
I loved this story of Quinn’s second chance at love and life and her happily ever after. Quinn was scarred by an emotionally abusive relationship and it took a lot to undo the harm done to her.
“Love is always enough, but you have to be willing to love even harder during those tough moments. Fight for the both of you when she’s given up.”
Lachlan, the young, sexy tattoo artist working at Forbidden Ink, sees past Quinn’s defenses to the beautiful woman and falls hard and fast.
This was my first book by this author but it definitely won’t be my last. I really enjoyed the story and writing!
-4.5 Stars!-
Well what a book that was…
Now this is not my usual trope as I’m not a huge shes older fan But let me tell ya if anyone can make me a fan its Miss Nikki Ash!!! And well she freaking did it lol I loved every single damn minute of this book I couldn’t put it down!
Quinn and Lachlans story was beyond beautiful! Quinn has been beat down emotionally and feels like shes just not enough, well until Lach comes along that is.
Every woman needs a Lachlan in their lives to remind us we really are enough dammit!!
It was great to get a glimpse of all our other loves in there too
Bottom line one click now and become a fan of this wonderfully written amazing story Nikki has blessed us with!!
Cant wait for the next adventure
What an incredibly beautiful story! Love love loved it! Quinn will go down at the top of my list of favorite heroines – her story of personal growth is one that every woman should read.. she’s raw, imperfect, and comes to find the beauty within when she finally takes a moment to see herself the way others do.. to remember who she used to be.. something I believe many women can relate too.
Quinn and Lachlan’s love story will envelop you, be prepared to read to the end once you start. As with all of her books Nikki has created a story readers can fall in love with and I can’t wait for more!
Through His Eyes is EVERYTHING! It’s all the feels, so many different emotions and the right guy. I read this whole book with tears running down my face. Why the tears? Because I could relate to a lot of what Quinn went through. And when Lachlan walked into her life, I could relate with that too. I’m an emotional reader . Trying to find the self confidence to date again after what Quinn went through is not easy. Finding your self worth is even harder. Letting someone get close isn’t an option.
I really can’t put into words how much this book moved me. Lachlan never gave up. He saw her, like really saw her. “I know, but it was through your eyes, I was finally able to see that I’m enough.” He not only saw her, but her daughter Kinsley, too. He made her feel like a women again. He made her feel beautiful. “I welcome everything Lachlan does to me, he sees me as beautiful regardless of all my flaws.” Lachlan is the perfect book boyfriend. Hands down! I know I fell hard for him! “Family isn’t blood. Family is heart, and you and Kinsley own mine.”
Every woman should read Through His Eyes. We all deserve to know that You.Are.Enough. This is my all-time favorite Nikki Ash book and it has made my best of 2019 list!
Love, love, love this story! Lachlan and Quinn are perfect for each other, and while Lachlan sees that, Quinn has a hard time. She has no self esteem after her husband put
Her down for years, and not to
Mention they have a 12 year age difference. While she is dead set on letting those things in her way of
happiness, Lachlan is not and he is determined to make her see how good they are together!
Great chemistry between the characters, even between Lachlan and Quinn’s daughter Kinsley as well. Loved the story line and the little plot twists along the way! Highly recommend this book!
There is just so much to say about Through His Eyes. It’s absolutely another 5 star read by Nikki Ash.
I fell in deep serious love with this book. My favorite thing about it was Quinn (the heroine) and the realness her character portrays. She is every woman!!! There was no sugarcoating her pain and insecurities. She told a story of the immense power a significant other can have over our self-worth . I love that Nikki told this story from a prospective of all those woman who’ve been torn down, and then found the strength and courage to overcome it.
Then we have our Hero, Lachlan. He was so sweet and patient, persistent without being pushy. He gave Quinn her womanly power back, and he’s just the man every torn down girl needs. The way her loved on her body and continually told her how beautiful she was, made me smile and swoon like crazy.
Quinn met Lachlan at her brothers tattoo shop and from the moment he saw her he knew she was something special. Being a single mom who was just going through the motions of life, she didn’t think she had anything to offer Lachlan. Little did she know all she needed to give him was herself.
What I loved most about the way Nikki told this story, is the authenticity of it. Quinn struggles with what most women do. Not just body images, but life’s challenges in general. Being a mom to an adorable but sometimes stinker child, it’s tough. Coming to grip with growing older, no woman likes that. Being uncomfortable in our own skin and not where we want to be physically, I think most woman deal with that. And it wasn’t just a magical fix once she met a good man to help her through. Quinn still fell at times, even when she thought she was getting better, her insecurities found a way back in. And you know what… that’s real life! It’s an ongoing battle. This is why Quinn is one of the best characters I’ve ever read.
So, if you love great story lines, real-life, authentic situations, deep family love, single moms, adorable little girls, sexy tattooed men, and the power of healing through love and acceptance, this is the book for you.
One of my all time favorites reads!
**3.5**
Quinn was emotionally abused by her husband for entirely too many years. Five years after he is no longer in the picture his abuse still lingers and she has zero confidence. Her sole focus is on her daughter. When she meets Lachlan at her brothers’ tattoo shop she shoots him down immediately. 1. She is 12 years older than him. 2. Her confidence is in the tank and she doesn’t get his appeal so she pushes him away. Lachlan finds Quinn sexy and beautiful and is determined to break down her walls to get to know her better.
I struggled with this one a bit. I love age gaps usually but this one spent way too much time on the FMC worrying about the age gap and everyone’s opinion on that. I know a large part of it was from the mental abuse she suffered but it got old real quick. Either you are in or you are out. And with how amazing Lachlan was Quinn – recognizing her issues and working with her, making her see how amazing and beautiful she truly is and also with her daughter – it was quite frustrating that this continued to be an issue. But overall I enjoyed this story.
