The moment I saw her walk through the door of Forbidden Ink, I knew she was the one. With her wide hips, thick thighs, and perfect breasts, she’s every man’s wet dream. Add to that her dark, soulful eyes, pouty lips, and a body covered in gorgeous art, and I knew I needed to make her mine. She’s a walking contradiction of sass and strength and determination, hidden by insecurity and self-doubt. … insecurity and self-doubt. She’s everything I could ever want or need, but she doesn’t see what I see.
I want to take away her pain. To be the one to make her laugh, to make all her dreams come true. I need to prove to her that I’m not him, that no matter what, I’ll be right there beside her. Loving her.
If only she could see herself through my eyes, she would understand we were made for each other.

I loved Lachlan and Quinn! I wasn’t sure I would like the older woman/younger guy scenario but it was Hot! The story drew me in and I read it in one sitting. Great job Nikki! I’m gonna have to look into some of your other books!
I wrote this review based on an advance reading copy that the publisher sent me.
Holy smokes Through His Eyes is amazing on so many levels!! I don’t think I can say enough how much I loved this book. I feel like a broken record as I say this after every book of Nikki’s I read!
This one though has such a powerful storyline that unfortunately a lot of women can relate to in some way. Quinn, wow she was such an amazing character and so strong to come out the other side the way she did. Could Lachlan be any more perfect? He is such a sweetheart.
I simply could not put it down but I also savoured it as I didn’t want it to end! Outstanding, thank you Nikki.
I just completely devoured this book, like in one sitting!! I have been following this author forever and each book reminds me why I keep running back for more. Quinn and Lachlan are that couple that you can’t help root for, even when one of them needs to be shook.
This book is full of insecurities, longing, second guesses, an adorable child, and a love that can conquer all. It was a book that portrayed everything so well that you can’t help but feel it with the characters.
If you are looking for an emotional read to get lost in, stop here and grab your copy. I can not recommend it enough!!
Loved this story
First of all, I love the book title. It sets the tone for the book and had me considering something uncomfortable that I don’t like to think about. Who among us doesn’t view herself through a myopic lens, and most often a critical one, at that? It’s easy to focus on the negative and become our own worst critic. But what if we saw ourselves through the eyes of someone who focuses on the positive, the good, and the beautiful parts of us? Someone who sees those less desirable pieces and idiosyncrasies and embraces it all? Even better, what if that someone was us? For that reminder alone, this book is worth reading.
Lachlan is such a swoony hero, wise beyond his years with a big heart, and a man who goes after what he wants. And he wants Quinn. We’ve gotten to know Quinn a little bit from her brothers’ books, but little did we know what an emotionally abusive marriage she was in or what it’s done to her image of herself. Gone is the strong, confident woman, leaving behind insecurities and low self-esteem. But Lachlan somehow has a way of looking at Quinn and seeing not only the woman she used to be but the woman she can become.
While I think the message of this book is important, the message would have been stronger if we had been able to observe more of Quinn making changes and working on her insecurities. Giving the reader a chance to see Quinn’s growth and self-improvement transpire would have made for a more inspiring hit to the heart. We get a small amount of it near the end, and then see the results somewhat in the epilogue, and I loved getting a glimpse of these characters a few years down the road. Quinn and Lachlan’s story is endearing, heartfelt, steamy and humorous, and it provides the perfect escape. And then there’s Lachlan. He’s all the reason you need to start this one ASAP. 😉
*I read an early edition of this book freely and voluntarily, having made no commitment to provide feedback and receiving no compensation of any kind from any source.
This book… so incredibly written… Nikki Ash has done it again. Quinn and Lachlan are an amazing story. She has such insecurities and he is so honest. Despite age differences, this story flows and just makes you feel!.
The supporting characters add so much to the story. Another great Nikki Ash book!
“Oh, sweet, Quinn. I’m going to make you mine.”
Nikki Ash delivers a heartwarming and emotional story sure to touch your heart, in Through His Eyes! I loved just how relate-able Quinn’s story was. She’s every woman that’s been torn down, and crushed by the weight of insecurities. Many of us have been Quinn, and this story of perseverance and love is for all of us.
Her story wasn’t easy to tell, and Nikki Ash knocked it out of the park! This read was honest and moving, and exceptionally well done. I’ve read similar books and always been somewhat disappointed, but Through His Eyes was absolutely refreshing and a must read.
This book was Everything I needed and when I needed it. it made believe in love again! It was full of heart and romance.
I’ve never connected to a female character the way I connected with Quinn. She always looked down at herself thinking that’s how others seen her. That is so relatable and it’s hard to overcome whatever it is that makes you feel that way. I loved reading how she overcame it and became a stronger woman for it. She was such a strong character because she owned up to her insecurities. She wasn’t afraid to speak up that she had them.
Oh and then there’s sweet Lachlan! Omg, how I need a Lachlan! I just wanted to reach in and grab him and tell him to make me feel the way he was making Quinn feel. For the first time in a long time she was feeling loved, desired and wanted for who she was as a woman not who he wanted her to be.
This is a story of love and self worth that made me giddy with excitement and made me feel hopeful. I’ll never forget how this story made me feel. I loved every word and every feeling it brought to me
Through His Eyes is absolutely perfect!! Nikki Ash does it again! She delivers a phenomenal book with one of the most relatable characters you will ever find!
Quinn Crawford is absolutely my favorite heroine. She is the most relatable character I have ever read. Every self doubt, every insecurity, every bad thought she feels about herself just hits home.
Quinn is the single mother to a five year old daughter. Her husband died before finding out she was pregnant, but he was an awful man who made her feel horrible about herself. When she talks about herself the way she does, I couldn’t help but think “yep, that’s exactly how I feel.”
Lachlan Bryson, the tattooed Irish tattoo artist that comes barreling into Quinn’s life at full speed and changes her life forever. Lachlan is what Quinn needs most in life. He sees how perfect she is from the very first glance. Lachlan gives me hope that maybe there are some good guys left out there in the world and I just need to wait and find mine.
I love that Lachlan doesn’t see Quinn as a single mother, or older. He looks at her like she’s the only woman on the planet. He sees her as something more, something beautiful and something worth fighting for. When she doubts, he loves her harder. The Quinn that you see through his eyes is absolutely perfect the way she is.
I love any and all Nikki Ash books, but Quinn’s story I feel like hit home more than any other book I have read. Ash grabbed onto all the self doubt and insecurities I have and put them down on paper. Through His Eyes spoke right to my heart.
Through His Eyes gave me all kinds of feelings. Nikki Ash is one of the best at single parent romances. And she always leaves you needing more. All the stars for Lachlan, Quinn, and Nikki Ash!
Wow wow wow!!!! This is defiantly a story that tugs at your heart strings!!! After reading this book I’m even more of a firm believer of don’t judge a book by its cover analogy.
I love how much of an old sole Lachlan is. Even with his actual age so young he seems to be more grown up then most. I love his sweet side as well as the impatient dominant side.
Quinn was a trooper she bounced back when she needed to and kept trucking on. The insecurities that she had that were completely justified made it for an emotional read. I love how she’s a fierce mom to mini Q. The family was amazing and fun to read about. I loved the HEA at the end as well as the fast forward at the end.
This was hands down an amazing read!!!!
Oh my stars I can not tell you how much I loved this book. Nikki you kick ass girl. You made me love your writing and you more threw this book. We all have a hard time thinking good about our selves. But some times we all need to hear we are enough. You made me laugh and cry threw this whole book. I hope this book helps anyone who thinks there not enough to feel they are !!!! GG is my favorite !!!
