Welcome to the tiny European country of Rosavia, where roses ramble over alpine slopes and princes fall for the men of their dreams. Every Rosavia Royals book happens simultaneously, so books can be read on their own, or in any order… but keep an eye out for familiar faces around the palace!

Two best friends. Two princes. Two countries. Two sock loving cats. Two weeks to reconnect.
They hadn’t seen each other in four years. Not since…well, they don’t talk about it. If they don’t talk about it, then it’s like it didn’t happen. Jules (Julius) and Danny (Dante) grew up together. They were inseparable. Jules was a Prince of Rosavia, Dante was a Prince of Thedes. They ran into each other by fate, and couldn’t resist catching up. What starts of cautious and tentative, shortly gives way to relief and renewal. When faced with the truth, they both really missed each other. They will both have to decide how much truth they want to face, though.
Like the two previous books, this one starts about two weeks before the ball and winds up at the ball. It continues to overlap scenes from the previous books, with new ones, and glimpses of the brothers we haven’t gotten to spend much time with. We are shown another perspective of the ball. I love how the authors have done this.
The writing for this book was great and consistent with books one and two. I find that fascinating because they’re all written by different authors. I’m impressed at how well they work together, yet separate, and still blend in a way that’s seamless.
This is book three, and technically can be read as a stand-alone, but it would be more enjoyable to read the series in order, in my opinion. I really liked this story. It is a story of second chances, and friends to lovers. It’s just like a big hug, and I definitely recommend it.

My heart is in Rosavia (an audio review)
I have dipped my toe into this series several times – starting at book 4, meandering back to 2, on to 5 and now 3. I’ve made a note to pick up book 1 and get to it soon. Why am I telling you this? Because it doesn’t matter where you start in this series, it only matters that you read all the books. This series of five books about five gay brothers who also happen to be princes is a little much in theory, but in execution, it just works.
Dante and Julius are BFFs. Blueberry Friends Forever. Blueberry is the fruit of Rosavia and has appeared in some interesting locations. In one story it was blueberry pizza. In this story? Blueberry lube. But I digress. The two men grew up together in each other’s pockets. They went to school together, spent holidays together, and shared a strong bond. Their mothers were close and the sons even closer. But one night of shared passion had Julius running back to his castle in Rosavia where he sits third in line to the throne – not the heir or the spare. Just the middle son who, for the most part, keeps his nose clean and his self out of the papers. Some of his brothers are less discreet.
When Dante comes back into Julius’ life, Julius makes the decision to invite him to the Rosavian Ball as his plus one. There are plenty of hijinks to be had as Dante’s meddlesome family try to enact their own agenda, and the paparazzi get wind of this budding romance. In the end, they come together and this time the bond is true.
The series is narrated by Kieran Flitton who I believe has done a great job with it. I enjoyed this on and will be off to track down book 1.
Throne Together is the third book in the Rosavia Royals series, but this series can be read in any order since all the events are happening simultaneously.
Prince Julius and Prince Dante (Jay and Danny) have been friends for years even though they are princes of different countries. But one night of passion and misunderstanding has kept them separated for four years. Finally, they are brought together by the meddling of outside forces, and the romance and love that was once between them finally has a chance to bloom again.
This book was extremely sweet with a lot of mutual pining and second guessing. It felt like a slow burn, but the romance was strong and ever present. Watching these two princes get their happy ever after was wonderful and sweet.
The audiobook was narrated by Kieran Flitton who has one of the prettiest voices I have ever heard. I love everything about his voice and how he narrates all the characters. I could listen to Kieran narrate the phonebook and would still enjoy it, but to listen to him narrate such a great love story was a delight. The audiobook production was also well done and it made for an overall enjoyable listening experience.
Not having read a book by Zoe before I wasn’t sure what to expect, but Kieron Flitton read this beautifully if not a tad too slow for me, so I had to speed it up to 1.25.
I had read one of these books but not this one, and I was pleased that I could listen without knowing the two books beforehand.
These books are set in the European country of Rosavia, where roses ramble over Apline slopes, sounds an idyllic setting for these romantic books.
This book is about Prince Julius and Prince Dante, who have been best friends since childhood and have finished uni together and then their lives separate.
They daydream of each other, but their lives have taken different directions, will there unrequited love ever be resolved.
This is a lovely fairy tale romance, well worth reading/listening.

The handsome prince gets his… Well, he gets his handsome prince! Yep, 2 princes in Throne Together and they get a slow burn, friends to lovers romance. Jules and Dante are lovable and just a bit angsty as they sort it all out. I love that these guys know each other so well, yet they’re both a little clueless about a relationship. Jules most especially, and it was great to see that growth in him as he realizes what’s right in front of him. As I understand it, this is Zoe Dawn’s debut, and I’ve gotta say that I wouldn’t have guessed that by the writing. The book is well-written, the flow is good, and the characters are developed. These books overlap with each other, and the royal Rosavians are finding love at the same time. We do get glimpses and sometimes even whole conversations with the rest of the family, and I like that the author took the time to get to know the rest of the family. The books may be written by different authors, but so far, the family has held true to the characters we met in book 1. As for this book, I enjoyed the journey with Dante and Jules, and I now have a new author on my radar.
A must read. very wonderful.
Throne Together by Zoe Dawn is the third book in the Rosavia Royals series. This is a friends to lovers, second chance m/m romance with a Royalty tilt. Julius and Dante are great characters with a sweet and sexy love story, what a wonderful connection they share. There is a bit of family scheming and drama, some obstacles to jump over and a fun and endearing romance. I loved every page.
Another great book! I really enjoyed this book. Jules and Danny have been best friends for their whole lives. Since they are both princes, they understand each other better than anyone. They are finally reunited after a misunderstanding and they are still in love. They just don’t know it. Highly Recommend!!
Prince Julius and Prince Dante grown up together and they had a falling out their last day of college. Four years later unexpectedly at the same event they find that they still missed each other and they still feel that spark.
This was a beautiful blossom from friends-to-lovers, despite everyone interfering. This was a wonderful second chance romance that I definitely recommend.
This friends to lovers story is easy to read, with low angst situations and in the higher scheme of this amazing series another piece of the puzzle. I enjoyed a lot the banter between Julius and Dante, while discovering their feelings for each other and how to get their HEA. This is the first book I’ ve ever read written by Zoe Dawn but I can assure you It won’t be the last. Great reading!
Danny (Dante Ezio Kosmos Thedes – runner-up to the Thedian throne) and Jules (Julius William Fabian van Rosavia- third in line to the Rosavian throne) were friends since they were babies. Raised together, they were teased about being the other’s boyfriend. Danny went to boarding school in Rosavia and Jules attended university in Thedes. Practically inseparable.
After knowing someone for decades, it is only natural to feel like a part of you will be missing post college. Danny secretly fantasized of calling Jules his boyfriend. Obligations to their respective families made that an impossible reality. Before parting ways one last time, the unthinkable happened…..
Fast forward a few years. Almost four to be exact. There is a chance for them to find love again. A 500th anniversary ball provides the perfect opportunity. Both agree to mend fences and later discover that love had been there all along. Leave it up to a scheming parent, and busy body paparazzi – again – to block the path to forever.
Wonderful to see the heat never died between these two princes.
Book three of the Rosavia series, provides all the fluff, steam sex, second chance at love, and another cat. This one named Casper.
**I received this ARC from Gay Romance Reviews for my honest review.**
Jules and Dante are both Princes from neighboring kingdoms as well as having been best friends since childhood.
Together they have a delicate, complicated relationship because of the royal connection..
I enjoyed their story about love over time and distance and royal protocol.
One of my favorite tropes!!! I loved this story. It made me a little anxious at times. You just know from the beginning these two men were meant to love each other. At this point, I want to live in Rosavia. I’m still not sure about blueberry pizza but I’ll give it a try!!!
If you’re looking for a light, breezy book that you can finish in a few hours on the beach (and control your body at the appropriate places) then you could do worse than In His Court.
Insofar as this is a gay romance novel (which are unfortunately rarely designed to be masterpieces of literature) this read ticks all the boxes well. It’s a hot romp with some touching moments and of course, unfairly sexy men – whom I read as college boy types, physically. So if that sounds like your cup of tea, it’s worth laying down a few bucks for.
This would have earned a solid 3.5-4 stars from me had it had deeper character and world building. Some of the flashbacks would have been better placed earlier in the story to build that emotional investment from the reader. And I feel like I missed out on some of the ‘in’ jokes from not having read the other books.
That said, Dante and Jules were fun to read with their playful antics, chuckle-worthy teasing and boyhood insecurities. For non-binary readers, you’ll enjoy the gender-ambiguous descriptors (e.g. “honey”, “pretty lips”, “mewling”) and feel, I hope, a sense of kinship with the boys.
Other than feeling a little unstructured in places, this was a carefree, enjoyable read. Perhaps most of all though, it made me eager to dive into the hearts of the other Rosavian Royals.
I was gifted an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
A great second chance romance of childhood friends. Julius, a prince of Rosavia, and Dante, a prince of Thedes, have been friends since childhood. They have a mutual love of one another but after a misunderstanding, they have been apart for about 4 years. They unexpectedly find themselves together again and their attraction and chemistry are as strong as ever. It’s a sweet romance watching these two realize their true feelings and come together with little drama. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book
New beginnings
I’d go any ride with Jay and Danny, just saying. Also I want to be BFFs with them. I love the vibe Jules and Danny have. They’re perfect for each other. “When I said it’s only ever been you… I meant it. In every way. Body and soul.” These two made me swoon and I loved that no matter what life threw at them, their connection stayed strong. They made me laugh and they made me sigh with their romantic gestures. They are a true fairy tale.
No spoilers of any kind included.
Throne Together was an awesome story.
I absolutely loved it and I’m definitely going to be reading Zoe Dawn’s work in the future.
So it’s definitely going to be a big HECK YEAH I most definitely do recommend this book.
*An ARC was provided by the author, publisher or a promotional service and I have chosen to publish a fair and honest review*
This best friends to lovers romance was sweet between Prince Julius and Prince Dante. These two lost touch after an incident in college but bumped into one another four years later and realized their feelings for one another never faded. Their whirlwind second chance was filled with sweet dates, cozy nights in and little angst with a sweet happily ever after.
Throne Together is the third book in the Todavia Royals series. I loved reading it. It was a great second chance at love story. I loved the chemistry between Danny and Jay. I can’t wait to read the rest of the books in the series. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
This is the third book in a five book series of concurrent stories, a unique setup where each story focuses on one of five brothers (the Princes of Rosavia), but includes references to the others’ respective stories which are all taking place at the same time. This story focuses on the middle child, Prince Julius (“Jules”) and his relationship with his oldest and closest friend, Prince Dante of Thedes. It’s a friends-to-lovers, second chance romance story, and while a light, easy read, neither the story nor the characters really “click”.
If the reader has read the story of very well known and loved M/M couple (*cough cough* Wesmie *cough cough*), this story will likely sit in its shadow. The backstory is so very similar (longtime best friends who split up due to a single sexual encounter that prompts one of the pair to flee due to a misunderstanding concerning their or their partner’s sexuality, then have no contact for years until an unexpected event throws them into each others path again), it is a challenge for the reader to not compare. If the reader hasn’t read that other story, this one may feel more fresh, but there was definitely an opportunity missed here to take a common trope and make it something new and different.
Don’t misunderstand: the writing is generally good, the story is sweet, the MCs are likeable and there’s obviously a HEA, it just lacks the depth and emotional engagement developed in the other books, and ends up falling a bit flat. So much more could have been done with the characters, in particular Jules, but unfortunately, they end up merely two-dimensional. For example, in Book 2, Prince Cassander mentions a number of impressive things about Jules (i.e., educated in Thedes, resourcefulness in the wilderness, speaks six languages including sign language and somewhat conversant in another three, a walking encyclopedia of Rosavia and a “borderline anthropologist” in countless other cultures), which makes the reader eagerly anticipate meeting Jules and learning more about him in this Book 3. Unfortunately, that fertile ground is squandered, and none of that information is developed or expanded upon. Some of the events seemed rushed, like the reunion of Jules and Dante; after 4 years of very conscious and deliberate efforts to avoid each other, within minutes of seeing each other again, all seems to be forgiven (albeit not forgotten).
This is not a book to read as a standalone, but since presumably most readers will pick this up as part of the “series”, even though it’s not mandatory reading to appreciate the other books, it is worth a read in the context of the others, and it provides a feel-good, low angst story, even if not particularly original.
* I received an advanced reader copy of this book and voluntarily agreed to provide my review, which reflects my independent opinion.
