You all know the story of The Wizard of Oz, but did you ever wonder what happened after the fairytale ending? Well we know. Not all afters end up happily, sometimes the real adventure starts much later…Evil magic has been shattering its way from Urbis and across the twelve kingdoms. Clement couldn’t approach the capital city, and I’ve found myself increasingly unable to imagine a future without … future without him in it. So we’re taking the long way back to Oz — but in between Winged Monkeys, wicked spells, and the ever-present threat of recapture, getting home may be beyond even my newly discovered powers.
Following famous fairytale characters, eighteen years after their happily ever after, the Kingdom of Fairytales offers an edge of the seat thrill ride in an all new and sensational way to read.

The tale continues
I loved Clement, and the kind way in which he treats people. So true, about people mirroring your behaviour! At first, this tale has more of the same, but then things continue in ways you wouldn’t expect! Recommend!
Our heroes have made it to Oz. We now hear from Glinda and the adventure continues. Can’t wait for book 4!
Finally rid of the cuffs, Clement’s access to magic is back, but the price seems to be another imprisonment. Thankfully, as they get delivered to the queen of Aboria, they are quickly released from the dungeon. Jakon’s distinctive eyes make him connected to the golden-eyed heirs that are labelled by Urbis newspaper as dangerous criminals. But Veda and queen Abigail know better and are willing to help. Finally, after the long travels, Jakon returns to Oz, only to find the beautiful country very different from what he remembers.
The strongest and most characteristic trait of this series are the deep emotions. Jakon has a soft heart and gentle nature (aside from when he gets angry; that rage can be devastating), and anything from seeing the empty villages to children in prison makes his heart ache. His romantic relationship with Clement deepens, getting to another level, and maybe the devoted man by his side will be the beacon of light that will help him save his loved ones in the end.
Jakon and Clement gotta catch a break at some point, right? While the journey might be rough, at least the company is good – and the flirting never stops. What should be a simple trek back to OZ is anything but. Lots of adventure, a few familiar faces, and a stolen kiss make this a fun, quick read. The nods to OZ and parallels to Dorothy’s trip are a nice touch. And the threat to OZ is finally starting to be revealed. Knowing is better than not knowing – but no one wants bad news!
You can tell the series is getting closer to the final showdown in Urbis too – quite a bit of discussion regarding the other kingdoms, changes in magic, and the looming threat. Jakon is torn between his worry for his family and the larger problems that seem to be threatening them all.
This is book 3 of 4 in the OZ arc and all 4 books need to be read in order to make sense. This series references kingdoms previously visited in the Kingdom of Fairytales series and a couple yet to come. If you are not familiar, Aboria is where Fallon of the Beauty and the Beast retelling is from and the events in this book take place after those chronologically, but are completely independent and both series can be read independently.
Prison escapes, return of good witches and of course who could forget Dorothy herself. Makes Jakon’s story fun, exciting and adventurously imaginative.
Throne of Emeralds is the third book in the Wizard of Oz arc of the Kingdom of fairytales series.
Jakon and Clement have escape Urbis prison and on there way to Oz and Jakon siblings. But think don’t go well and ends up in Aboria prison. The Queen having heard of this will get them released. She tell them about her son and what was happening in the Kingdoms. Things are really not going well…
Thanks to the authors for this arc. Looking foward to read the final book.
