“Has all the ingredients for an instant success: plots, counterplots, mystery, valiant knights, and blossoming relationships replete with broken hearts, deception and betrayal. It will keep you entertained for hours, and will satisfy all ages. Recommended for the permanent library of all fantasy readers.” –Books and Movie Reviews, Roberto Mattos (re The Sorcerer’s Ring)“The beginnings of … beginnings of something remarkable are there.”
–San Francisco Book Review (re A Quest of Heroes)
From #1 bestseller Morgan Rice, author of A Quest of Heroes (over 1,300 five star reviews) comes a startlingly new fantasy series.
In THRONE OF DRAGONS (Age of the Sorcerers—Book Two) King Godwin mobilizes his army to cross the great bridge and invade the South to rescue his 17 year old daughter, Lenore. But Lenore is imprisoned deep in the South, under the watchful and hateful eye of King Ravin, and she may have to learn to escape herself first if she has any chance of escape.
Her brother Rodry, though, is way ahead of the King’s men, deep in hostile territory, alone on a mission to save his sister—while her other brother, Vars, offers a lesson in cowardice and betrayal.
Devin follows Gray, eager to learn more about how to harness his powers and about who he is.
Greave travels to remote regions to find the house of scholars and to try to save his sister, Nerra.
But Nerra, sickened by the scale sickness, is dying on a remote isle once touched by dragons. And her only chance of survival may just compel her to risk it all.
And all of this will culminate in an epic battle that may just determine the fate of the two kingdoms.
AGE OF THE SORCERERS weaves an epic sage of love, of passion, of sibling rivalry; of rogues and hidden treasure; of monks and warriors; of honor and glory, and of betrayal, fate and destiny. It is a tale you will not put down until the early hours, one that will transport you to another world and have you fall in in love with characters you will never forget. It appeals to all ages and genders.
Book #3 (BORN OF DRAGONS) is now available for pre-order.
“A spirited fantasy ….Only the beginning of what promises to be an epic young adult series.”

In Throne of Dragons (Age of the Sorcerers—Book Two), author Morgan Rice continues the epic tale of the royals of Royalsport as they face a coming war amid personal tragedies. The cast of characters outside the royals adds depth to the story that immerses you in a fantasy realm with knights, dragons, monks, sorcerers, and ruthless enemies who bring to light an unfolding understanding of magical powers and the history of two kingdoms that were once one.
Morgan has done a masterful job of making me care about her characters and emotionally take sides. Whether you love them or hate them, each character does their part to move the story along and carry you deeper into the plot of a captivating world where good and evil fight for control. It’s one of those “just one more chapter” books that’s hard to put down. The only thing I don’t like about it, is that the story leaves you hanging and hungry to know what happens next. For that reason, I give it 4 stars. (But I’m already reading, Born of Dragons, book 3 in the series).
If you’re a fantasy enthusiast and looking for a quick read, I recommend this one.
It was a little slow getting into all the characters. It is part of a longer series.
Great!
Terrible, I only read got it because I read the first book….I doubt I will continue. A pity because I really liked his other books
I am in book 2 of the series and enjoying it!
I haven’t finished the series, but I love Morgan Rice books!
Could not put down really good read continued with the following g book very good all round like a lot
Could not put it down!
This book is so full of action it made my head spin! Exciting with a great continuation of the story. Can’t wait until Book 3 comes out!
After reading the teaser, I have to agree with the description. Morgan Rice has a way with her world-building to completely engage the reader and I could literally see their story play out in my mind like I was there. There’s so much drama, angst, betrayal, and adventure. Let’s not forget there’s a romance building in there as well but will it be allowed to flourish? It definitely captured my imagination and I can’t wait for the next book to see where Morgan Rice takes.
This book was another of Morgan Rice’s excellent books. I couldn’t put it down until I had finished it.
Another book where Morgan Rice shines filled with princesses, princes, knights, and dragons. Danger, adventure, and thrills leaving hanging on for the next book.
I was given an ARC of this book and I found it enjoyable. I do like this author’s sword and sorcery stories because they have multiple characters, that sense of magic and enough action to set the pace afire.
It was rather short, however, it did move on the story, building plot and characters. There is plenty of mystery, and definitely a war between heroes and villains.
Fast-paced with enough tension and thoughts and feelings to make it feel real, despite its fantastical nature.
Recommended to those who enjoy a tale of magic and mayhem.
