I’ve always believed that love was hard, and when you found it, you held onto it with everything you have.
That wasn’t the case with Ryan.
Loving him was easy, but no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t hold onto him.
Because I wear a crown.
And he’s a single father raising a child…five thousand miles away.
The facts speak for themselves. I read this book based upon the following:
The title made me do a double if not triple take – It caught my attention that’s for sure.
It’s a royal romance read which I absolutely adore – Who hasn’t dreamt of being a princess?
The male protagonist is a sexy single daddy – Hello, no brainer, count me in.
There’s a fairytale quality about it – A reverse Cinderella story with a delicious twist.
The connection between single dad Ryan and soon to be Queen Moira is undeniable and as you read the story you become fixated – You need to see them get together.
Their happily ever after is simple and glorious – *sigh*.
If you’re looking for a quick and easy and fantastically sweet read, TBR this book and enjoy. I look forward to reading more by this author.
I absolutely fell in love with this story!! Leddy Harper takes us on a complete rollercoaster ride with this fantastic story. We get everything we love in romance and more! It’s a story of finding your soulmate way before you even know he’s yours.
All you need to know is that you will not be disappointed AT ALL! Leddy Harper remains to be an automatic one click author for me.
Highly recommended.
*I was given a free advanced copy of this book by the author in exchange for my honest and voluntary review.*
This was such a cute read. It felt like the events
were serendipitous for both Ryan and Moira.
To have her be the Princess(soon to be queen),
and Ryan a regular person was very different.
The ending was exactly what I needed.
2 stars . DNF. Too boring.
This was a super cute read with a different take on royals. I loved Moria. She was very head strong, knew what she wanted and in the end got everything she deserved. Ryan was great. She was super sweet and just an awesome hero. There were a few twists that I didn’t see coming but I lobe that the author wrote the story like that. Not only did it make it unique but it gave the story flare and added some drama. There wasn’t a lot of drama, but enough that kept me glued to my kindle. I would honestly love a story about Libby. She was an amazing secondary characters. 4 stars #2OCCjD
Throne Away is the first book by Leddy Harper that I have read and I can definitely say, I am now a fan!
I thoroughly enjoyed Moira, Ryan and his daughter Amara. The storyline was unique and kept me engaged from beginning to end.
Ryan and Moira’s lives have been intertwining and fate has been throwing them into each other’s space since they were children they just didn’t know it until now.
Who doesn’t love a fairytale with a happily ever after? I love them and watching Ryan and Moira try to live their best life was what I enjoyed the most. Life just kept getting in their way. They just had to find a way to overcome all of the obstacles thrown in their way!
Jesus, it’s been a while since I had a book from this lady to read and I can honestly say that I missed her.
I missed her words and the emotions it evoked in me.
Of course that not every book was a walk in the park, because this author is responsible for one of the ugliest cry stories of my book life.
Leddy Harper knows what she’s doing. One minute she has a hot book and the next she’ll put you into tears… Just wait.
Throne Away is her latest release and explores the lives of Moira and Ryan.
How can you overcome the pain of losing one of your loved ones? How can you cope?
Moira had lost a bit of herself and the need to escape was strong. On a walk to the pier, she met Ryan and something clicked.
Ryan is a photographer that loves his job. On one of his getaways, he was mesmerized by a beautiful woman at the pier.
Sometimes life takes us to a place that we were meant to be but then something gets in the way because he has a daughter and she’s the future Queen…
Another perfect story.
It was a sweet and perfect ride that I enjoyed every turn.
Perfect plot, super sweet, perfect, and engaging.
It was perfect from the beginning until the end.
The interaction between the character and the chemistry they shared was perfect.
It was sweet and I didn’t want it to end. I wanted more, and I needed more but it’s over…
Why? Lol
Leddy this was another book that I loved and it didn’t make me cry…
It was perfect in every way. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

This was a different royals book from the ones I usually read. It took me awhile to really get into this book. It felt flat to me.
Moira has lost her brother and is mourning him as she stumbles upon Ryan. Ryan is a photographer capturing the sunsets. The two have a connection and agree to meet up later but security gets in the way and Moira is sent back home.
Fast forward to Ryan having a vacation with his daughter and sister in law since his wife has bailed yet again. He just happens to be in her country. Fates have them lined up to see each other again. They both have secrets about their lives, she is a princess, he is married. Will that be what makes them crash and burn? Or will they see they were fated to be together?
This was a good read just didn’t hit the spot for me.

Moira feels the weirdest sense of déjà vu when she first meets Ryan. And when they find that actually have a connection from their past, it feels right. All except for the tiny little detail she’s been keeping from him, a detail that can prevent their entire relationship from being.
Throne Away is one of those sweet, lighthearted reads that sometimes you’re just in the mood for. I really enjoyed it and thought Ryan and Moira were a great couple, made even better by the addition of his adorable daughter, and secondary characters like Patrick and Libby. I’m used to royal romances being a bit more angsty and heavy, but I appreciated how sweet this one is.
Moira and Ryan are an absolute joy to read about. Wonderful characters, witty banter, family, love, loss and the hands of fate. You get all the feels from this book. So good from beginning to end, I couldn’t put it down until I finished.
I have never been disappointed in any book I have read by this author and Throne Away was no different. A single hot dad and a royal family yes please. This book was well written with great characters and I didn’t want it to end. I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book for an honest review.
Throne Away, a royal romance, is sweet, beautiful, filled with mystery, secrets, and lies. Moira and Ryan are beautiful characters. Ryan, a single dad, is handsome, caring, and supportive. Moira, a princess, is strong, smart, and loving. Amara, Ryan’s daughter, is really cute! The supporting characters are great. I loved Libby, Moira’s cousin and best friend, and Mandy, Ryan’s sister-in-law. The ending is beautiful. I enjoyed it. Looking forward to read more books written by Leddy Harper.
I loved Leddy Harper’s “Throne Away,” a unique and captivating royal romance that emphasizes the role of fate and how it works in mysterious ways to bring people together. I am a big fan of royal romances, mostly because of the fantasy element involved; like many little girls, I used to dream about marrying a prince and being carried off to live in his luxurious palace, where I would never have to worry about anything ever again. Unfortunately for Princess Moira, the main character of “Throne Away,” life in a palace isn’t quite as carefree as all of those Disney movies make it seem. Her life wasn’t really her own; there were many expectations placed on her by many different people, and someone always seemed to be watching.
To Moira’s credit, she was a very strong and independent young woman who knew exactly what she wanted and was willing to fight for it, no matter the cost. When she met Ryan, their connection was palpable, and at times the force of their attraction was nearly overwhelming for them both. There were seemingly insurmountable obstacles standing in the way of their building a life together, however, and the outcome of their story was one that I never would have predicted.
Overall, I would absolutely recommend “Throne Away” for anyone who enjoys royal romances or emotional contemporary romances in general. I’d love to read a future story about Moira’s cousin, Princess Elizabeth, but I’m sure I will enjoy whatever Leddy Harper writes next, whether it’s related to this story or not.

I really liked this story and the trope, it was engaging, sweet, romantic and funny at times, I read it in one sitting.
3.5 stars
This royal romance was nothing like the ones I usually read. In this story our female lead, Moira, is the royal and our male lead, Ryan, is a single father. This unusual twist is what made me pick this book up.
Moira is Princess of Ilunabarra, an island country. After her brother’s death she finds herself on a pier at the States, her brother’s favorite place. Fate has it that she’ll meet Ryan and her whole life will change form that instance.
Ryan is a photographer, struggling to support himself and his little girl Amara after his wife left him. While takings photos at the pier, he sees Moira and he thinks that she’s about to jump. He’s instantly mesmerized by her even though he doesn’t know that she’s really a princess.
Their relationship was doomed from the start. Each of them has responsibilities in a different country. However, if it’s meant to be life will find a way. There are too many chance encounters to not realize that Moira and Ryan are soulmates.
The story gave me a fairytale feeling, like there was magic pulling these two together. I finished the book with good thoughts. I’m glad that I picked it up; it was a nice change form what I usually read!
So this wasn’t exactly what I was expecting when I read the blurb. I’ve been a fan of this author’s writing for a long time but this was just missing the usual flair. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a sold 4 star book but it’s just not the best.
Ryan and Moire are an interesting pair together. Throwing in some fate makes them believe in magic. I just don’t see how these two work though. To me their chemistry is lacking.
They have a nice beginning but then it’s sorta rushed. Like hey I’ll give everything up for you after two dates. Yet it lacked the fairytale state for these two.
Maybe I’m being harsh but I expected more than what is in this story. It’s still a good read for someone looking for the instalove angle
4 Star Review Throne Away by Leddy Harper
Leddy Harper is a relatively new author to me but what I have read, I have found to be well written with characters that are easy to relate too and fun.
This is a Cinderella story with a difference. Ryan is a single father, a commoner who after a chance meeting falls for Princess Moria who is soon to become the Queen of Ilunabarra. However Ryan has no idea who she really is and when she stands him up is disappointed.
Ryan decides to visit the island that holds so many great memories and sets off with his adorable daughter on an adventure. He is shocked to run in to Moria, even more so when he learns that she is about to become Queen.
The banter between them had me laughing out loud at time. The characters were entertaining and you cannot help but become invested in Ryan and Moria’s story.
I really loved how swoon worthy Ryan is, I just loved everything about him, particularly his relationship with his daughter. Throne Away is a romantic love story that left me with a smile on my face.
Throne Away by Leddy Harper is a beautifully written, emotionally satisfying Royalty Romance that will satisfy the Royal lover in everyone. This is the story of Moira and Ryan. Moira is Princess Moria who is soon to become the Queen of Ilunabarra. Ryan is the commoner who happens to run into her, and call it kismet or chance, whatever and falls for her. Ryan does have a young child and is raising his child without the mother. Moira is enamoured with father and child. The plot is amazing, steamy, sweet and touching. Moira is dealing with something very painful in her recent past which sent her on that off beat course towards Ryan. There is many twists in this royal romance that will have the reader engaged, wanting to know who, what, how , do they, and finally when. I loved the breathtaking emotions that colored the pages from start to finish. A truly amazing story with great characters that made this a phenomenal read. If I had to pick a character to want a book from this story then, I hope Moira’s cousin gets her own book next!!
My Rating: 4.5 stars ********
I loved this story. This is the first book I have read by Ms. Harper and it makes me what to go back and read the rest of her book.
The storyline was different the girl was the royal and the guy a commoner single dad. What could me more entertaining. I’m not big on retelling the story in my reviews but I will say this one will be the one click of the year for all romance readers. Thank you Ms Harper for a great story.
They’re worlds apart, but belong together.
Throne Away by Leddy Harper was a slow-burning, slightly angsty story. The characters are from two completely different worlds, but Fate, in all her esteemable virtue, has decided that they belong together.
Ryan Astor, is a single father and a photographer who meets a girl on a pier. He talks to her because he thinks she’s upset and might fall into the ocean.
Princess Moira Coldwell of Ilunabarra, isn’t the ordinary girl she appears to be, but for a few single hours with Ryan, she gets to pretend that she is.
They plan to meet the next day, but it all goes wrong and Moira is taken back to her island home and Ryan has his hands full too.
Neither expects to ever see each other again, however, as I mentioned before, Fate has other plans for them. And, so, a few months later, they do indeed see each other again. Ryan is gobsmacked with the truth and is ready to forget about Moira. It’s Moira’s cousin, Libby, who takes charge and makes sure they do come face to face.
What follows is a heady fall into love, with stolen moments and secret assignations but they both know that they can’t be together forever. Ryan is stuck with his estranged wife and Moira with her royal duties.
They know what they’d like to do. They find out a lot about themselves, including the fact that the pier wasn’t their first time meeting. Call it fate, call it destiny, but something is drawing them back together. It’s what they want too. If only…
Will they find the path to true love, or will they both be Throne Away?
