A New York Times bestseller, Three Wishes is the funny, heartwarming and completely charming first novel from Liane Moriarty, also the author of #1 New York Times bestsellers The Husband’s Secret and Big Little Lies.
Lyn, Cat, and Gemma Kettle, beautiful thirty-three-year-old triplets, seem to attract attention everywhere they go. Together, laughter, drama, and mayhem seem to follow them. But … laughter, drama, and mayhem seem to follow them. But apart, each is dealing with her own share of ups and downs. Lyn has organized her life into one big checklist, Cat has just learned a startling secret about her marriage, and Gemma, who bolts every time a relationship hits the six-month mark, holds out hope for lasting love. In this wise, witty, and hilarious novel, we follow the Kettle sisters through their tumultuous thirty-third year as they deal with sibling rivalry and secrets, revelations and relationships, unfaithful husbands and unthinkable decisions, and the fabulous, frustrating life of forever being part of a trio.

Liane Moriarty writes with a clear eye for the nuances of family relationships and partners. Characters are realistic, and it’s easy to identify and empathise with most of them.
Highly recommended.
THREE WISHES is the second book I’ve read by Liane Moriarty, and I haven’t been disappointed either time. This family is Topsy Turvy with capital T’s and Dysfunctional with a capital D, but that’s part of why the story works so well; that, and her incredible attention to detail—Moriarty is adept at painting captivating word pictures.
She did it again. Well, little did I know this was maybe her first or second book, because I’ve already read a few of her others, but yep, it kept me reading and laughing and wanting to, like, highlight hilarious things or paragraphs the characters were thinking where I was like, “Oh, my goodness! I know! Exactly.” Or thinking, “I would love to …
I think this was Liane Moriarty’s first. She already had a great style. Lovely book.
It just wasn’t all that interesting.
One of my favorite authors. I’ve read everything she has written. I read them quickly because they are hard to put down.
Though I usually love Liane Moriarty books, this one was a bit over the top for me. My issue is the sisters intimate habits– so hard for me to relate to. Overall the book is good with angsty moments and laugh out loud situations. It is a good read for a lazy day. The audiobook was terrific.
Fun read!
Always entertained by Liane Moriarty’s books.
I have read all the books this author has written and LOVE them all. This one is no exception!
She is one of my favorite authors. A very readable author.
Eh. Didn’t really care about the characters and just wanted to get through it. Interesting concept with the outsiders viewing them, but that was just here and there.
Loved this book! Well developed characters!
I listened to the audio version of this book. This is by an Australian author and narrator, Heather Wilds. The book is about three grown sisters–triplets. It’s about their different hopes, dreams, their different realities and the different ways in which they have matured. It is very funny in most parts, but other parts are just sad in the way …
Three Wishes was an extremely enjoyable read about three sisters and the conflicts ty encounter in typical Moriarty fashion.
Great book, I love reading Laine Moriarty. I am waiting for more of her books because I’ve read them all. Great story you won’t put it down.
Moriarty’s first novel is also one of her best. Loved it!!
This is a fun novel. It is about the year in the lives of 3 sisters who just happen to be triplets and its told with humour, compassion and unexpected twists. I had some clear ideas on how the story would go and in an imitation of life it went another way, which is frustrating but is one of the features that I like about a Moriarty novel. The 3 …
Sweet story.
Loved it!
