So, I’ve checked off some life goals and added a few new ones to my list.Goal #5: Get out of hell’s belly without letting my ungrateful charges die.Goal #6: Get a new name that’s more badass.Goal #7: Stop wasting my breath on lectures and start annoying the quad hell squad every time they annoy me. Fight fire with fire. Ha! Another hell pun.Goal 8: Find out who the hell killed me.I’ll add more. I … the hell killed me.
I’ll add more. I don’t want to overwhelm myself before I even finish checking off my old goals. But seriously, I really do need a more badass name, considering how much I have to keep saving my damsels in distress.
I probably shouldn’t call them damsels, since they’re a little murderous and all.
Maybe I should add seeing a hell-certified psychologist to my list of goals.

OMG! That Cliffhanger!!
The plot thickens, and it makes the story even more addictive!! Ok, I totally called the twist, but not because the story is predictable, because it’s definitely not. This story leads right off the first book, and takes an already fantastic story, and shifts it into an action packed, twisty story, that leaves you begging for more. These characters are amazing. This series officially owns me. There is a cliffhanger at the end, but fortunately for us all the entire series has been written. An absolute must read!
OH MY!!! This book was so much hotter and addictive then book one… how is it even possible to love the boys more…
I really don’t know what to write in this review. I was not able to put it down. I just had to know who and what the guys and Keyla/Paca were…
My heart broke for Jude when he and Keyla went to meet with Lake. But the when they went home and all the guys were there.. oh my..
I am not able to keep myself away any longer from book 3. I know this review isn’t very insightful but I am honestly lost for words that can honestly do it justice. But just know that you will not be disappointed if you do decide to read this book…
I was not expecting that ending! I love the humor (which is kind of dark), adventure, and romance in this series. I never know what is going to happen! I can’t wait for the next book.
Oh my the more answers that come to light the more questions I have! So many of the best possible twists keep coming. But the saying is Better the Devil you know than the Devil you don’t and I feel Keyla is learning that rather quickly.
If you thought book one was good…you’ll have a hard time putting this one down!
I’m loving this series immensely! Funny, inappropriate banter with four insanely hot men. What else do you fecking need?!?! I was completely lost about the balance and politics of this one, but I’ll blame lust, because I wanted to bang four men. I’m not one bit ashamed either. Oh, and the big surprise was already guessed, but who cares, I wanted to bang four men. I can’t wait to start the next one. AND I’m praying for more banging with four men!
Finally!!!! Keyla/Paca/Ghost Girl, whatever her name is, got laid by these four studs! I was two seconds away from throwing my kindle because it was nearing the end, and still… no sex. BUT IT FINALLY HAPPENED! And it was so HOT!
Also, we got a lot of answers on who the heroine really is and what her four men mean to her… and I kind of suspected who the guys were, but definitely didn’t see her role coming, which is quite awesome actually, and definitely well played by the author.
I’m loving this series and the pages loaded with humor. Paca is a riot and she’s so unpredictable that it keeps me on my toes. This series is fast-paced and lots of fun, keeping me turning the pages almost quicker than I can read them.
So Much Fun & Steam At Last!!
So this book starts & ends with a bang! I loved the twist of who our 5 are
I was so glad they finally got their sexy on Lets hope there’s more in the two final books! I wonder who killed them all??

I love this series. Hands down. I love the characters, their interactions, and snark. The heroine is brilliant and you can’t stop but smiling or laughing at her insanity (in the best possible way). I can’t wait until the last book is out.
Okay, I’m obsessed. I love this series. I’m loving the main character and all of her guys! I was so intrigued by all of the twists and turns in this one. Of course, the cliffhanger was torture. I had to immediately purchase books 3 and 4!
I’m so in love with this series and these characters! The story keeps getting better and better!
Here we learn who these five are, which is so great. Keyla / Paca is still a funny, sassy and adorable badass. And the four guys… well, they are less assholish but still wicked. I adore them all!
And the sexy scenes… HOT!
So much is happening and I just couldn’t put the book down – action, secrets, death, Hell, Lucifer…
More fast paced adventure, more hijinks, more snarky and vulnerable moments, LOTS of sexy times and a really cool twist. Honestly, it took me completely by surprise that.
Also, I like how these books don’t follow most other paranormal harem trope where the girl has to perform some sort of magical ceremony to bond to her guys, but instead they’re all sort of already bonded and they have to figure out how they got to that point and re-learn to be together and develop this newest iteration of their relationship. It’s original and different.
I ridiculously didn’t pay attention to how much of the book was left and ended up dropping right off the cliff when the book ended so abruptly! Ah!
I love how this series flows. The plot is so addicting. I have no idea where things will go from here.
I am so in love with this reverse harem and watching these 4 men use their powers to get through the trials set up by Lucifer himself. Our no named ghost has been given the name of Keyla, but her memory is still not showing signs of returning anytime soon. Watching Keyla evolve and teasing the boys into oblivion has been a fun journey on its own. She’s slowly learning to take a physical form and return to a ghostly form in a moments notice. These books must be read in order, as they each pick up off from the former book’s ending.
A hellish read!
She needs to get out of hell’s belly without letting her ungrateful charges die…
And find out who the hell killed her…
The sequel was so much better than the first book! It definitely exceeded all my expectations well beyond this world.
The heroine is just so crazy and funny and so very very lovable.
Full of souls, mystery, ghost girl, powers, monsters, trials, secrets, hell, the Four Horsemen and steam.
Perfect for readers of paranormal romances/fantasy romances.
This is the second book in the series and starts right back where we started with Keyla and her boys ready to enter the trial initiated by the devil himself.
It’s full of twists and turns throughout and we finally get some answers regarding the origins of all five.
In regards to the heat factor here, things are heating up in more ways than one, in fact, its only Jude that’s really holding himself back the others all seem to be openly competing for the position of her current favourite.
Keyla’s powers are also manifesting at a very swift rate which makes a very interesting question on just who and what she actually is.
So as well as being action-packed this is again extremely funny with many fantastic lone-liners from both sides and if you like warped humour then this one certainly delivers on that.
I also adored Jude’s nickname for her Treacherous Treasure to cute.
This series is fast turning into a favourite and I am looking forward to starting book three.

Love this series
The four psycho’s with their ghost girl in tow, navigate Lucifer ‘s unwinnable trial. She suspects who her men might really be. She has won over three of the four, while keeping the bond intact. Jude is holding out, his reasons are strong and sound.
Betrayal, sends the 4 psycho’s feral. When Keyla returns, Jude gives in and she feels whole. Answers are needed, and hell is where to find them. Lamar is full of answers. Keyla learns her real name and her suspicions about her men are confirmed. Someone killed them and Lucifer is suspect number one and Keyla, wants him dead. Fast paced and steamy, MMMFM, no MM, romance. Ends in suspected cliffhanger.
She did it again. Another book that has left me wanting more, and not only because its left on a cliffhanger either. I absolutly loved the first book in this series and the second one did not let me down either. Now the wait for the third book begins so that i can have more of these perfect characters. I can only hope that the wait is not going to be that long, because I don’t think that i can stand it.
Wow, lots of new secrets in here!
Three Trials by Kristy Cunning takes the story even farther and deeper into Hell ! More secrets about the guys are revealed, the girl, and details about the trial in Hell! One of the five is attacked, one dies, so you have to read to see who, what, when and where! Very exciting! This book gets very steamy!
This is the second book of The Dark Side series by Kristy Cunning where we spend about half the book FINALLY getting some answers! Unlike how Chris Carter of the X-Files never got around to finally explaining what was going on, we now are privy to who Keyla and her four super-sexy killer psychos truly are. No, I won’t tell you because that would spoil everything! I am surprised how Cunning managed to do so without making it all look to be boring exposition stuff. But we still must keep in mind that you can never trust anyone whom is not bonded to you. Never.
Cunning’s writing, despite this huge revelation, is still quite out-of-the-box, and I was not disappointed in this book at all. Everything was ratcheted up to a high level, and I still couldn’t put it down. I read the entire thing in a handful of hours, not coming up for air for meals, but that’s fine. My brain loved it!
I think the ferreting for the usual writing errors was improved as I didn’t see as much, but it is hardly perfect. Again, the subject material really distracted me from what would have been very distracting to my sense of suspending disbelief. I am still blown away by Cunning’s creativity. I just can’t wait to read Book 3!
