great read
This was an okay story. It was rather predictable. It was a menage, but the sex scenes were not very steamy nor were there very many scenes in the book. It does have a good ending.
One of the first books I read in this genre. Enjoyed it, but her books become repetitive.
Interesting concept. Well written. Moderately predictable
Loved this. Always good when you don’t want to stop reading and that was the way it was with this book.
This is a great series!
This was book 1 in the “Nights in Bliss, Colorado ” series. Elizabeth Courtney aka Rachel Swift is on the run from a stalker Tommy who is also a cop in Dallas. When her car breaks down in a mountain town in Colorado she gets a job at the diner of this beet loving hippie town that has a nudist community. Rye Harper who is the sheriff who has a twin brother Max they are used to sharing everything they were dumped by a woman that Rye wanted to marry although he didn’t love her the boys decide to stop sharing and when Max meets Rachel she tells him off. Max Harper is a hot head when he meets Rachel he knows that he has to change he doesn’t want her to see his bad side. When he catches her skinny dipping in a lake on there land they get hot and heavy in the lake although he wants to take it slow they have sex first and then decide to date. When Rye returns from a two week conference he can’t believe that Max is dating Rachel she is everything that they have been looking for in a woman and when they first meet she is scared of Rye because he is a cop and she doesn’t trust the law. This is a corky little town with Mel and his alien’s coming to town and the naked people walking around and Rachel not afraid to put Max in his place when he accuses her of cheating when he finds out that she is living in her car. This was a good book with some hot sex scenes Rachel learned to stop running from Tommy when he finds her the whole town is willing to keep her safe. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series. If you like reading MFM then I recommend that you read this book.
I enjoyed the characters in this book. It was a fun short read.
When I first read a book by Sophie Oak, I must have missed the part where it said it was part of a series lol. Which is what brought me to this series in the first place. And I’m so glad it did. Though this type of book/series isn’t something I would normally read I enjoyed it very much.
First off, if you don’t like intense erotic/BDSM in a ménage relationship then this book and this whole series is probably not for you. I definitely didn’t think reading about how two men share a woman openly would be something I could get into reading about but it was romance with some suspense and action and I loved it.
Max & Rye Harper are identical twins who wanted to always have a woman they would share for the rest of their lives, but when their recent relationship turned out to be a bust, they decide to do things differently and have relationships on their own for once. But when Rachel comes into town by accident, the brothers can’t help but both want her. When they come to the decision to finally share her, they discover someone is after her. But that’s not goi to stop them from having the family they want with each other.
This book is full of love, romance, and hardcore lovemaking. The way the town of Bliss is makes you laugh but also makes you envious of a small town where everyone is like family and they will take care of their family at all costs.
New author to me and thoroughly enjoyed it! Great story, relatable characters, adventure , drama and very steamy (though not alot) scenes. Will look for more by this author!
It bothered me that Rye wasn’t included until almost the end of the book. Not much of a menage if one member is left out of the threesome until approx 80+% of the book.
Initially I felt like Max was made out to be this big mean person who wasn’t too bright, and Rye was the resident player. Then it seemed like the edges of those initial impressions were softened, so neither man’s personality seemed as unattractive.
Next, I could understand Rachel fearing the cops (Rye), but there were plenty of townspeople she could have asked about Rye to feel him out. I also felt that if she felt close enough to his brother to have an intimate relationship, she could have explained her situation to Max. She ended up putting them both in danger.
This book has elements of suspense and danger, but overall, it is a steamy menage story that occurs in a town full of quirky characters, relationships and situations.
3 1/2 stars
While I liked Three to Ride, I was more interested in Bliss as a town than I was in Rachel, Max and Rye. Hopefully this is a start to a good series.
Lexi Blake starts off her Nights In Bliss series with the tale of Rachel, Max, and Rye. Lexi sets the Bliss scene with alien and bigfoot hunters, a nudist camp and menage relationships the norm. One heck of a town, right?
Max and Rye have drifted apart after having been friends for their entire life. Each is missing something from their life, but not finding it together, they try it apart. Rachel is running from a first date-turned stalker and ends up in Bliss. Max “finds” her first and she turns the grizzly bear into a (kinda) courteous guy. Max is a gruff, blunt, particular type of guy. More comfortable around the horses he trains than people. Rye is his polar opposite. The sauve, sociable town sheriff finds he is attracted to Rachel but doesn’t want to mess things up for Max, suffering in silence. Rachel is a survivor, strong and determined but staying under the radar is taking its toll.
The story is fast-moving with the stalker aspect, the conflict between Max and Rye, the budding romance between the three all set to the background of the endearing oddities that is Bliss. A great choice for an easy, fun read.
Lexi Blake is one of my favorite writers. Lots of fun and sex! And thrown in is some type of action with a heroine.
A great mix of suspense, humor and heat
So, I started in the middle of both this and the Masters and Mercenaries series about a year or so ago. It’s such a complex, interconnected world the author has built that I REALLY wanted to go back to the beginning of each series and start at least trying to read them in order as time (and my book budget) allowed. So I was excited to pick up the first book where it all began in Bliss.
I loved finally getting the full story on Rye, Max and Rachel, who I met in earlier books…well, make that earlier for me books, lol. The characters that make up Bliss are characters in every sense of the word, with plenty of individual quirks, and I enjoyed at how cranky Max was with everyone but Rachel, while Rye was the charmer of the pair. Rachel has literally lost her identity on the run from her stalker, and I was cheering for her as she came into her own. Speaking of her stalker, he was definitely a love to hate character, and the author had me fully engaged in the book as I desperately hoped he would get what was coming to him.
It wasn’t all darkness and suspense, though. Like the rest of the series there was plenty of humor that was a little tongue in cheek with these larger than life characters, and I spent a lot of time grinning when I wasn’t outright laughing. And when Rachel, Rye and Max finally come clean with what they want with each other, the chemistry is off the charts hot.
A great mix of suspense, humor and heat and an emotionally satisfying ending, and it’s no wonder this series became popular. 5 stars

What a funny read! I’m a big fan of quirky and you definitely get that with the townspeople of Bliss. You have a nudist colony, a mountain man who believes in aliens and a moose that visits people. Bliss seems to be the town where people in trouble stop at and never leave. This is true for our heroine, Rachel (Liz). She’s on the run for her life from a stalker who happens to be a cop. When her car breaks down in Bliss, Colorado, everyone welcomed her with open arms.
Our heroes Max and Rye are twin brothers fresh off another failed relationship. As twins, their connection is so strong that their dream is to find one woman to love and build a family with. Unfortunately, it’s been hard to find one woman to appreciate both Max an Rye’s different personalities.
Max is not as charming as Rye and has a very rough exterior to his personality. For this reason, he has told Rye he needs to find a woman without him. He feels like he is holding Rye back and has just accepted that he will be alone. Funny how it was Max who found Rachel first which left Rye as the one on the outside looking in.
Max and Rye may be opposite in personalities but you can really see their bond as twins and how right it was that they needed only one woman to complete their family. I really enjoyed this story and all the quirky personalities of the town. I’m looking forward to reading more in the series.
* New to me author
I was so excited to read this series, and I was not disappointed! Lexi (Sophie) was kind enough to let us know all the work she and her family had to go through to rerelease this series. I am so happy that she did. It is well worth the read.
In Three to Ride, we get Rachel’s quite scary story, to be honest. Rachel has to disappear from her life due to a stalker. To do that she changes her name and hides out in Bliss, Colorado. She finds herself at the local restaurant; Stella’s where she catches the eye of Max, and Rye who are twins.
Max and Rye have always wanted to find a wife that would fit into their lifestyle. But they have never been able to, and every time they have tried it has gone wrong. Max and Rye have to work together to make Rachel feel welcomed again and make her know she is safe where she is.
I highly recommend this story!
Three to Ride (Nights in Bliss, Colorado, #1) by Sophie Oak (Lexi Blake) This is not my normal read but is was an interesting change from my usual. Rachel(on the run from a crazy stalker) Max and Rye (twin brothers who are used to sharing everything) There are laughs, interesting characters, suspense and very steamy menage all leading to a HEA.
4 STARS FOR THREE TO RIDE!! This was an exciting, suspenseful and sexy read. The story of these three kept me flipping pages and wanting more. I can’t wait to read book 2.
Rachel is a woman on the run from a crazy man. She crashes her car in Bliss and ends up falling for Max, the meanest man in town. Max and his twin brother Rye (the Sheriff) have always shared their woman but decided a year ago to go solo. Only problem is Rye is falling for Rachel too. I loved this book. It was funny and steamy hot. Bliss sounds wonderful. It full of weird people who respect each other. I want to move to Bliss!!!
