I’m so happy to be visiting Bliss. I had heard so much about it for a while. Now that they are re-released and enhanced I’m glad I waited. Lexi is right Life is Better in Bliss
Rachel Swift is a woman with no place to go and literally down to her last $10 when her car gets a flat outside a small town in Colorado. She’s running for her life and needs to escape her past. She’s hoping she can do that in Bliss. It seems like the perfect place to lose yourself in
Twins Max and Rye Harper always thought they’d share a wife, but after their last failed relationship, they’ve given up on their dream and decided to try and go it alone. That is until Rachel appears in town. While Rachel finds Max easy going, she’s wary of Rye as he is the town sheriff and she’s on the run. Rye is willing to step aside no matter how miserable it makes him, but Rachel is woman enough to know what she wants and to make sure she gets it.
Rachel’s past is on the hunt for her however, and catches up with her in the quirky little town she is ready to call home. She’s ready to make her stand, however, especially with Max and Rye and the rest of Bliss at her side. Will it be enough to set her free forever, or will her stalker finally finish what he started off to do before she went on the run?
I absolutely adored my first trip to Bliss, Colorado. Lexi Blake may have created one of the most unique and quirkiest cast of characters I’ve ever had the pleasure to read. And, while quirky, they definitely take care of their own. Rachel finding herself in Bliss was fate.
Rachel is an amazingly strong individual to go through what she has and attempt to take back her life in any way she can. I love that while she has been so hurt in the past that she’s still willing to go after not one, but two men she knows are hers. She’s no wilting damsel in distress, and I loved it.
Max and Rye, while brothers are opposites in personality. Max is definitely the more easy going and laid back guy while Rye is pure dominant. Together, however, they can give Rachel everything she needs and more. I enjoyed their dynamic. It seemed perfectly natural that they would be a part of a triad with how close they are.
As always, Lexi blends humor, romance, suspense and an amazing cast of characters to give readers one heck of a story. One click and start your journey in Bliss . . . you won’t regret it! 5 stars.

Mary Jo –
I fell in love with this series years ago and I’m glad to have had another chance to read it again and review it for Wicked Reads.
Rachel is a woman on the run from an abusive man she had one date with. One date. Utterly alone and with the cops not being able to help her, she gets help from an unlikely source and leaves everything behind.
When her car breaks down just outside of Bliss, she knows she can’t stay, as much as she wants to. People in little towns ask lots of questions and she can’t risk becoming attached to anyone. He will find her again, and this time she’s afraid he will do more than hurt her.
Max Harper is tired. Tired of the women his brother, Rye, brings home. He knows that the women are not right for the life he, they, want. They want a woman they can share, be husbands to, to have kids with. He’s not willing to settle for a woman who’s not the one.
When Max sees Rachel at the diner, he’s all in. There’s something about Rachel that calls to him, that soothes his rough edges. He’s even willing to go solo if that’s what it takes to make Rachel his. He knows that without Rye being part of his relationship with Rachel, he can’t possibly give her everything she needs but he will try.
Rye knows there’s something going on with Max and when he meets Rachel, he begins to fall in love with her as well. He steps back, giving Max and Rachel time to themselves, all the while longing for the peace that comes over Max when he’s with Rachel.
After Max’s accident, Rachel learns that she can’t live without either Max or Rye and thankfully, she’s in a town where all things are possible.
I love reading about Bliss, CO where everyone and love in all shapes and combinations are not only accepted but celebrated. I love spending afternoons in Bliss where the off-beat and unconventional are the norm and beets are the menu.

M/F/M Romance
Triggers: Stalking, Attempted murder
This is the first time I’ve read this series, despite it being out for a while. I have to say that it didn’t disappoint.
You kind of begin in the middle of Rachel’s crisis. However, it’s not in a jarring way – it gives great context to the story. She is strong but knows when she needs to be ahead of the trouble. When she finds herself at the end of her money and somewhere she doesn’t really know where – Rachel ends up in the middle of a blizzard and hungry. Despite her reservations of being on the run, she likes the quirky feel to Bliss. Rachel knows that small towns offer little protection, but she’s desperate and thinks maybe staying a little while will be fine.
Max and Rye have been sharing women since they were young. Being brothers, it was just a natural reaction for them. But with Max being tired of not finding the right woman to love and marry between him and his brother, both decide that maybe it’s time they try their luck separately.
Max is the town sheriff and because of that, he travels for a conference right as the storm hits. With Rye left behind, Rye is the first to come across Rachel and when she puts him in his place, he is more than intrigued. Despite being known around town as the rougher of the two twins, for some reason, he allows Rachel to get the better of him.
When Max returns and sees how happy his brother is with Rachel, he’s jealous and also wants his brother to be happy. It’s difficult for him to rectify the emotions, but he also knows that if Rye has found someone, he can’t stand in the way.
Rachel fears that her stalker will find her and despite having the strong arms of Rye around her, things begin to creep in to her fears and when push comes to shove, Rachel has to decide to stay and fight or run again.
I really enjoyed the banter between all three main characters and it was fun to see how the town integrated into the story. I can’t wait to see what happens next! Especially given the twins’ friends and their devious ways to get the brothers to see that they could both love Rachel.

This is the first in a series – and I would recommend that you read the author’s note at the beginning as it was fascinating understanding where the ideas came from, and why finally Bliss is allowed to live again! There is a degree of world building in the book, but I loved the wackiness of the community, even if it did feel a little dated – and I think that is because we are all so much more political than it even seemed to acknowledge, but that is an observation rather than a criticism.
I am a huge fan of ménage stories, so the fact that this grows slowly due to a change in the twins’ modus operandi had me waiting for how it was going to work out. But I liked that Rachel had a chance to restore her confidence with Max, and fantasise about Rye. Whilst she couldn’t deny the chemistry, she had a lot of trust to rebuild. Max also had major trust issues, so they were the perfect starting point for the potential romance.
Although the story happens over a fairly short space of time, it never felt rushed. I loved that we already have the set up for the next story and am looking forward to its release.

Three To Ride is a re-release of Sophie Oak’s (Lexi Blake’s other pen name) first Nights In Bliss series. This time we have some extra scenes with appearances from Lexi’s other series. It just makes the book that much more fun to read!
Elizabeth has an abusive husband who is a police officer. After he manages to put her in the hospital, she has a nurse who helps her escape. Eventually, she ends up in Bliss, Colorado with a new name, Rachel Swift. She also ends up catching the eye of bad boy cowboy Max Harper, who she later dates. But he’s used to dating with his twin, Rye. Rye is a sheriff however, and Rachel stays clear. It’s up to Rye to convince Rachel he’s the good guy and that he and his brother will keep her safe.
Loved this book to pieces, and It was even better the second time around. I do wish they had all been together in the beginning, but hey, it was still a HEA!
I read the first edition of this book back in 2014 and back then it was a four star read for me, but with this re-release and all the new content the author added it boosted it up to a five star read.
Elizabeth aka Rachel is on the run from a guy she had one date with when she winds up in a little town named Bliss. Well, I have to say this town is definitely named correctly because it has become a little haven for those that need the freedom to be who they truly are and not be judged because of it.
Max and Rye are identical twins and they each fall for Rachel but since they gave up sharing women the year before it is Max that has a relationship with Rachel as he “saw” her first. You know it is just a matter of time before both men have her in their bed but it does take a bit because the (sorry excuse of a) man that is after Rachel is a police officer and Rye is the Sheriff of Bliss so Rachel is a bit weary of men in a law enforcement uniform.
This book was VERY HOT! I really enjoyed this read and would recommend it to anyone that enjoys a steamy triad/poly relationship along with a well written story and great characters.
**I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Readers Copy of this book**
Rachel Swift is on the run and now she may have run out of options as she lands in Bliss, Colorado. Terrorized by a staker who’s a cop, shes been forced from her home and job, lost friends, changed names and been forced into hiding. Fortune the smiles on her as she enters Bliss. She meets up with Mel who may be a bit off but he’s helpful and gets her into town after her car breaks down. She meets Stella, the diner owner, who immediately hires her as a waitress. In walks Max, an absolutely gorgeous man, and she’s immediately drawn to him. When Ryan shows up two weeks later, Rachel is shocked to look at a carbon copy of Max. Although she’s also drawn to Ryan, she’s wary in his presence as he is the local sheriff. Past experience has proven that you cannot trust the police. Ryan does his best to stay out of the way of Max and Rachel as Max has declared his intent to go it alone when it comes to relationships. The only problem is that Ryan is falling in love with Rachel and doesn’t know quite what to do about it. Max and Ryan have both figured out that Rachel is running from someone or something. Rachel finally realizes that no matter how hard she tries, she’s drawn to both men and wants a relationship with them. Now all she has to do is convince the two men that this is what they all need. In the meantime her stalker shows up in Bliss unbeknownst to her or the men and puts them all in danger. An old and trusted friensd saves Rachel from tragedy. She finally gets her men, peace and an HEA.
One of the things I like most about Lexi Blake’s writing is the humor that she sprinkles throughout her stories. Even in the most intensely suspenseful stories these witty nuggets keep it real. Many of which are laugh-out-loud funny. Bliss is so filled with wonderful and quirky characters right out of Lexi’s creative mind that I can hardly wait to meet them all!
“Why shouldn’t she have this? Why should she deny herself.”
Rachel, Max, and Rye…three wonderful characters that stole my heart years ago, are back in a re-released, second edition of THREE TO RIDE by Lexi Blake writing as Sophie Oak. With a couple of new chapters as well as some additional new content, I was absolutely SMITTEN all over again! If you haven’t ventured to Bliss, Colorado, you are FOR SURE missing out on something special. I can’t even begin to tell you the feeling of peace and contentment when you finally do experience this world that Lexi Blake has no cleverly created.
I’m definitely no prude, but the gorgeous relationship that blossomed between these three made me blush from head to toe, leaving me in a consistent state of bliss. It has action, adventure, and passion for days! I don’t always have time to reread romances, but when I do, you can guarantee it will be a Lexi Blake novel every single time!
I enjoyed reading Three to Ride it is the 1st book in the Nights in Bliss, Colorado Series. This book is being re-released with new content.
This is Rachel Swift’s story. She is running for her life after having just one date with a cop.
There were several times I wanted to shout out YOU GO GIRL! I love Rachel and she demands respect! She is a feisty little thing. Max certainly met his match. Twin Brothers Rhys (Rye) and Max live in Bliss. Rye is the Sheriff and Max is a horse trainer. They have decided to now keep their love lives separate. With both Max and Rye wanting the same woman will it stay that way?
I loved the story and the town of Bliss. You gotta love Quigley!
I give Three to Ride 4 stars and I look forward to the reworking of this series.
Sophie Oak’s small town romances are the perfect escape because they take readers on a sinfully steamy and sweet journey that explores characters’ delectable dreams as well as their dirty desires and the steps they take to make them a reality.
And just like the little voyeurs readers are, we get to come along for the ride and experience all of the passion, all of the drama, all of the suspense, and all of the kink our little hearts’ desire as the main characters try to find a way to protect each other as well as give one another everything they’ve always wanted in love and in life.
Bliss, Colorado, might be a small community, but it’s full of big personalities, and two that seem to stand out amongst the rest are twin brothers, Max and Rye, and what I wouldn’t give to see what other things are ‘big’ about them;) Lucky girl, Rachel Swift, actually gets to experience all that these brothers have to give her, but it does take a bit for all three to be on the same page, which means that jealousy is a dominant feeling for Max and Rye until Rachel figures out that she doesn’t have to fight her attraction for either of the brothers because what they’ve always dreamed of his sharing a woman, just like they share almost everything else, and it looks like Rachel’s the one that they want.
But Rachel, Max, and Rye’s connection doesn’t come together until further into the story; in fact, Rachel and Max are actually a couple – a twosome if you will – for most of the book, which is the one thing about Three to Ride that really didn’t sit well with me. Don’t get me wrong, I completely understand that a Ménage à Trois relationship doesn’t always have to have all three members participating in sexual activities…one-on-one time is probably a huge part of keeping a bond tight and secure, but Rye does not have the same connection with Rachel that Max does, and I guess because I’m not used to that happening, I felt bad for Rye and didn’t feel like the threesome would ever really seem equal because of the amount of time Rachel and Max had spent alone.
Despite my concerns for Rye, though, I really enjoyed Three to Ride; the suspense surrounding Rachel’s obsessed stalker added another dimension to the storyline and gave the brothers to keep Rachel close, and it also gave them a sense of duty when it came to not only protecting their woman, but their town as well.
I definitely would love to head back to Bliss, Colorado and see what other colorful characters there are and what their life stories entail.
4 Poison Apples
Three to Ride by Lexi Blake writing as Sophie Oak is one unconventional erotic romance. The title alone will give you a hint that this book is not of the normal romance as it deals with a ménage à trois with twin brothers who share everything and that also means their woman. Since this book was a fast paced book, I won’t say much but I will say this book was hot, passionate, and a sexy bliss of love.
I hadn’t planned on devouring this book in a few hours, but it sucked me in from the start and I couldn’t put it down. These three are perfect together. I wasn’t sure what to think of the twin thing, but they pulled it off perfectly, and Lexi put it in a way that wasn’t creepy. Rachel was a phenomenal heroine. Strong, independent, and doesn’t take crap from either of these broody alpha leads. Max was definitely my favorite of the brothers. While he was moody and a bit of a bear, he had a soft spot for Rachel from the start. Rye was the perfect addition to this threesome. He is definitely the more alpha of the guys, but also has a fun side to him. This book had the perfect amount of suspense, and I would definitely recommend one clicking!!
I love this book. I love this series. One of my go-to books when I need to relax and read something hot and funny and satisfying.
