Stephanie Plum, the brassy babe in the powder blue Buick is back and she’s having a bad hair day — for the whole month of January. She’s been given the unpopular task of finding Mo Bedemier, Trenton’s most beloved citizen, arrested for carrying concealed, gone no-show for his court appearance. And to make matters worse, she’s got Lula, a former hooker turned file clerk — now a wannabe bounty … bounty hunter — at her side, sticking like glue. Lula’s big and blonde and black and itching to get the chance to lock up a crook in the trunk of her car.
Morelli, the New Jersey vice cop with the slow-burning smile that undermines a girl’s strongest resolve is being polite. So what does this mean? Has he found a new love? Or is he manipulating Steph, using her in his police investigation, counting on her unmanageable curiosity and competitive Jersey attitude?
Once again, the entire One for the Money crew is in action, including Ranger and Grandma Mazur, searching for Mo, tripping down a trail littered with dead drug dealers, leading Stephanie to suspect Mo has traded his ice-cream scoop for a vigilante gun.
Cursed with a disastrous new hair color and an increasing sense that it’s really time to get a new job, Stephanie spirals and tumbles through Three to Get Deadly with all the wisecracks and pace her fans have come to expect.

In Three To Get Deadly bounty hunter Stephanie Plum is on the case to fine Mo Bedemier. Mo failed to make his court appearance for carrying a concealed weapon. Someone in town is killing drug dealers and other criminals and the public is all in favor of it continuing. Now they’re thinking it might be Mo doing the dirty work and they start threatening Stephanie to lay off and let him get on with it. A wonderfully funny tale in a delightfully bizarre crime series.
HOLY CRAP BATMAN! Stephanie needs to find a new job like asap and leave the bounty hunting to someone else. I really liked how she kicked butt though when Rex was in trouble. This story really makes me look differently at the people in my town though.
love this series!
Laugh out loud
I liked this book. The Stephanie Plum books are always fun to read & contain a light-hearted mystery at the same time.
Another great book! I tell everyone that will listen about this series. I definitely recommend!
These are good crime reads. Nothing deep, mind you, but good fun.
I love Stephanie Plum!
I love the entire Stephanie Plum Series. It’s a great easy read!
I have loved each and every one of the Stephanie Plum adventures. I’m a long time Evanovich fan. I read everything she writes. Witty, silly, and intelligent- a very enjoyable combo.
Okay, Stephanie Plum is still stupid. You want to hit her over the head with that gun she never has, but the story in this version still entertains. The main problem with book number three, is that Joe Morelli isn’t really in this one as much. He is definitely missed.
I enjoy Stephanie‘s conversations with her hamster. Those are funny and quirky and different from anything else I’ve read. I also love her relationship with Ranger. Is there something there, or isn’t there? But NEVER get rid of Joe. He is the perfect character. I still love her entire family dinners as well.
Some of the situations are far-fetched; however, since she’s only been a bail bond enforcement agent for a short while, I’ll let that go. It would be nice for her to learn some more techniques, though. As for she and Lula together, that’s a fun time
Love this series, if you haven’t read it start at the beginning with One for the Money because you’re in for one heck of a ride. There’s nothing else like this…..it’s literally laugh out loud funny!!!!!
Another funny Plum book.
I’ve read each of Janet Evanovch’s Stephanie Plum books (1- 27) and I’m looking forward to #28. Janet’s characters and plots are superb.
This Stephanie Plum book had many funny parts in spite of the fact that there were vigilantes murdering drug dealers and threatening her. Familiar characters Lula, Joe Moretti, Ranger and Grandma Mazur add to the humor and suspense.
I love this whole series. They make great beach reads, or for a snowy cold day on the sofa!
I love every book in this series! Exciting, great characters, love Cluck in a Bucket.
Stephanie is out to find Uncle Mo. Everyone will/does hate her and give her sh–t for looking for him. She encounters more trouble and weird characters than she’s prepared to deal with. However, she has lots of “guts” and drives on into uncharted territory as she gains more experience as a bounty hunter. Lula is her unconventional sidekick — sometimes she helps but often she leaves her stranded! Morelli is still sticking around, so…who knows?
Love the humor–trying not to laugh out loud, not just snicker, when my hubby is asleep!
I liked all of Evanovich’s number series with Stephanie Plum.
Love Janet Evanovich’s books!
