New York Times bestselling author Susan Mallery’s prose has been called “gritty and magical” and “luscious and provocative” (Publishers Weekly). Now she returns to Blackberry Island with the story of three women whose friendship will change their lives forever.
After Andi Gordon is jilted at the altar, she makes the most impetuous decision of her life — buying one of the famed Three Sisters … buying one of the famed Three Sisters Queen Anne houses on Blackberry Island. Now the proud-ish owner of the ugly duckling of the trio, she plans to open her own pediatric office on the first floor, just as soon as her hunky contractor completes the work. Andi’s new future may be coming together, but the truth is she’s just as badly in need of a major renovation as her house.
When Deanna Phillips confronts her husband about a suspected affair, she opens up a Pandora’s box of unhappiness. And he claims that she is the problem. The terrible thing is, he’s right. In her quest to be the perfect woman, she’s lost herself, and she’s in danger of losing her entire family if things don’t change.
Next door, artist Boston King thought she and her college sweetheart would be married forever. Their passion for one another has always seemed indestructible. But after tragedy tears them apart, she’s not so sure. Now it’s time for them to move forward, with or without one another.
Thrown together by fate and geography, and bound by the strongest of friendships, these three women will discover what they’re really made of: laughter, tears, love, and all.

This is another solid story from one of my favorite authors. I enjoyed “going back” to Blackberry Island and meeting more members of that community.
When pediatrician Andi moves to the island after being left at the alter, she buys a house in need of some TLC. Thus begins the story of relationships – romantic, family, and friends – all filled …
I really enjoyed the character building in this book. How the women’s relationships grew and helped them to grow. I would love to have friends like the friendship these three women developed! A feel good story despite the trials they faced.
A tribute to female friendships that can carry you thru terribly dark times
Wonderful summer read! I love stories of strong women who deal with real life issues.
I absolutely loved this book!
Thoroughly enjoyable.
A story of how three very different women (they are not the sisters!) come together to help each other out of their proplems.
This book was awesome. fun read. Have read many of Susan Mallory, and loved every one of them. Awesome author. Just a note that I am on my 3rd Kindle, take it almost everyplace I go.
Enjoyed this book very much. In fact I’ve read it twice! A few tears, but at least I wasn’t sobbing. I always like happy endings, but during this current pandemic, happy endings are even more necessary. Thanks Susan Mallory.
Loved reading about the owners of the houses on Blackberry Island.
Having read a few serious books, I enjoyed this lighter reading. The three sisters were houses, and I enjoyed the interesting residents in each of them and how they related to one another.
It was ok. Parts i really enjoyed and parts did not quite ring true.
Susan never fails to deliver a good read
loved
Really annoyed this book
I’ve read this Susan Mallery novel before and enjoyed it so much I decided to read it again. The second time around didn’t disappoint. This novel was written in 2013. The three women characters were Andi, Boston and Deanna. The book was broken down into three couples and three different relationships.
Deanna thinks her husband Colin is having …
OK
Such a great book!
I enjoyed this second book in the Blackberry Island series. Better than the first and third which I am reading now.
Delightful read about friendship and love.
