When New York reporter Paige MacKenzie heads to Tres Palomas, New Mexico, the resort of Agua Encantada seems a perfect destination to combine work with pleasure. A quick article on the healing mineral springs and a few leisurely soaking sessions in the resort’s soothing waters promise well-deserved rest and relaxation. Paige is immediately intrigued with a local artist’s one-of-a-kind jewelry … jewelry designs, as well as weekly gatherings to hear legends from an elderly storyteller. But when identical jewelry shows up on another guest and the storyteller goes missing, Paige’s R&R is soon redefined as restlessness and risk. Curious and persistent by nature, Paige is convinced there’s a connection. Enlisting the help of a flirtatious resort worker seems like a good idea until it begins to test her loyalty to her favorite cowboy, Jake Norris. Will an unexpected overnight trip to Tierra Roja Casino lead her to the answers she seeks, or are darker secrets lurking along the way?

I’ve stayed at a place like this in Arizona, seemed very similar. The plot thickened in the right places and I liked the detail about the scenery which took me back to better days. A good read!
Will she ever be able to relax and actually take a vacation? This journalist is on a “puff piece” for her publication, but can’t resist investigating an unexpected mystery. She’d like to spend more time with the handsome cowboy she recently met, but how do you pursue a long distance relationship?
The story was a fun read however the e-version had way too many typos; words combined without spaces, misspelled words. Very annoying.
A mystery where no one is murdered. Really enjoyed reading this mystery and learning more about the southwest.
Enjoyable characters, nicely plotted, well-written. My first read from this author but not my last.
Great book with very likable characters.
I enjoyed the southwest setting.
This the second book I have read from this author. I am looking forward to reading her next book!
Cute story, shallow characters, I did finish it.
I think the area and the characters were my favorite. That land is really like that. Rather a comfort read for me.
This was a good mystery with a little romance on the side.
This was a clever who-done-it set in rural New Mexico…and it captures the feel of the place and its generous people. Hard working locals in a little bit of a town are victims of a jewel heist and kidnapping. The nosy but nice heroine is on vacation but just has to get involved or there wouldn’t be a plot ; ). It’s a clever easy read that is 2nd in a series, but stands well alone (I didn’t read the first). Good fun.
This was a very good read. I have read her before. I like it when it continues on, so you are not left wondering. A little romance thrown in, which does not deter away from the plot.
Quick read for a summer week-end.
Well written, just not my type of book. Not a big fan of time travel

Rather plodding
This story took place in one of my favorite places in the world. The author used its native beauty to great effect, while introducing compelling characters. The story line took a few unexpected turns and played out nicely. It was very much a fun read.
Good read for a break in the day/week
This was a good story but something happened in the streaming andalmost everypagehad one tothree words without spaces which made it difficult to concentrate on the plot.
