When New York reporter Paige MacKenzie heads to Tres Palomas, New Mexico, the resort of Agua Encantada seems a perfect destination to combine work with pleasure. A quick article on the healing mineral springs and a few leisurely soaking sessions in the resort’s soothing waters promise well-deserved rest and relaxation. Paige is immediately intrigued with a local artist’s one-of-a-kind jewelry … jewelry designs, as well as weekly gatherings to hear legends from an elderly storyteller. But when identical jewelry shows up on another guest and the storyteller goes missing, Paige’s R&R is soon redefined as restlessness and risk. Curious and persistent by nature, Paige is convinced there’s a connection. Enlisting the help of a flirtatious resort worker seems like a good idea until it begins to test her loyalty to her favorite cowboy, Jake Norris. Will an unexpected overnight trip to Tierra Roja Casino lead her to the answers she seeks, or are darker secrets lurking along the way?

I read it last year. That it came back to me by reading the first line of the description tells me that this was a good book, well written, intriguing. All the things that make reading enjoyable
Great story. I really enjoyed it. Couldn’t put it down once I had started.
A great book. The author is outstanding.
It was fun but a bit too simple and romance heavy for me. The mystery story seem cobbled together to support the characters rather than than the other way around.
I’m really enjoying this book. Different story, enjoyable location, realistic characters.
I enjoy adventures of Paige MacKenzie! She is smart, gutsy, and realistic. Ms. Gardner writes so I can smell the wonderful food Paige eats, feel the heat in the desert, and fear in her risks she takes.
This was a good book. About half through the book, the words ran together. The spacing was not right and it was very distracting. I really wanted the book to end with Paige agreeing to move to Jackson Hole. I guess there are more books in the series, but I probably won’t read them. I hate stories that run on indefinitely.
Enjoyed the characters and mystery Paige always falls into.
Paige Mackenzie is a great character, one that a reader wants to know better. This book had a great plot, wonderful dialogue and a great cast of characters, especially Paige!
I enjoyed the location, another characters.
I love this series and the different situations Paige finds herself in no matter the location. This author is very imaginative and easy to follow.
This is worth reading. It kept me guessing till the last
Lovely characters! Each one felt like old friends! Can’t wait to see what the next mystery holds!
Very entertaining and a real page turner. Loved the location and storyline.
I enjoyed this Three Silver Doves very much. Great mystery with no dead bodies, bad language or sex scenes. The Paige Mackenzie mystery series has great settings and characters.
I originally got this book because it takes place in New Mexico. But I realized it was in the middle of a series, so after reading this I went back and read the first few books before this. I enjoyed the mystery, adventure and romance. I like the characters.
it was actually just okay. the plot was good, but could have built the suspense to make it more interesting. Kind of boring, actually, which was too bad, the potential was there
I liked the story, the heroine, and the up close view of this southwest area.
Likeable easy read, but annoying habit of the author in explaining what every meal is. Mexican and New Mexican cuisine are fairly well-known now since New Mexico draws thousands of tourists every year. Clever plot, though.
Interesting setting. Fun read.
