Tara Shiloh knows she’s not a drug addict. She’s positive she’s a good mother and hard worker. So why is she in an alley with a needle in her arm? Waking up in the hospital without her son is terrifying. Being told she can’t have him back nearly crushes her. With her memory spotty and the circumstances incriminating, Tara must fight to learn the truth and wrestle with the idea that maybe her son … son is better off without her. Reid Holliston defends guilty people for a living and it’s slowly killing him. He’s certain there is no such thing as a truly blameless client anymore. When his phone rings with a voice from his childhood his jaded views make him certain Tara is just one more criminal claiming innocence. But even his skepticism isn’t enough to keep him away. Best friends from a lifetime ago, the two must find a way to trust each other again in spite of how the years apart have changed them. Can a promise made in childhood be enough to save them both?

I found it hard to put down…you wanted to find out what was going to happen next to the character…and you could feel for her as a mother and hope that it couldn’t happen to you..
i really liked this book. the characters are realistic and a very touching storyline. i had a hard time putting this book down.
Very good read.
This was a different read for me and I enjoyed it.
Okay book.
Really enjoyed this book. Real page turner with twists and turns.
Very boring and slow moving. Characters were not a t all interesting and the plot was blah.
Loved this book from start to finish
It was very good. Keep my interest the hole book
I loved the unusual story line. The characters were likable but flawed. Would definitely recommend this book to my friends.
Really enjoyed the plot, couldn’t put it down!
The question is, was she framed? Who would want to frame her, and what possible reason would they have. Unfortunately, all the evidence is against her, and everyone has heard the “I am innocent” defense too many times to believe her. This book is very difficult to put down, because deep down, you believe her and want to see how she can possibly prove it.
A gripping read. Hard to put down.
When I first started it I wasn’t sure it would keep my interest, about a drug addict but glad I gave it a couple more pages! Clean verbiage (which is extremely important to many of us!) and a great read.
This book was just okay. It started out good but the conclusion was a bit far fetched.
Good read Found myself wanting to not put the book down
Really good read. Hard to put down
That was interesting and different. It was predictable, but still an enjoyable read. I read a lot of intense, suspenseful books and need a lighter story once in awhile. This was a good change of pace, a light, easy read.
Awesome book. Feels like it is out of todays headlines. A must read !!
While I have a difficult time believing that a story such as this would actually happen, I was able to suspend my belief in order to follow the story line. Well done. Kept my interest. Would read again.
