What's Hot
Bennett’’s pretty sure that if there was ever a woman to break his “no flings” rule, Gia would be it. Sure, she’’s stubborn. She’’s also funny, smart, and the attraction between them is getting hotter with every state line they cross. While Bennett doesn’‘t do casual, Gia doesn’‘t do “relationships.” But if they break the rules, this unlikely pair might discover that their impromptu road trip could turn out to be the best ride of their lives.

I finished It Takes Two (the book before this one in the series) and immediately dove into this one! AND THIS ONE WAS EVEN BETTER. While It Takes Two was the perfect little sweet and sexy romance, this one was more creative, with more tension, and more interesting subplots. Model Gia and chef Bennett are forced to roadtrip to Florida for Wendy’s wedding when a snowstorm cancels all the flights. Will forced proximity bring these two closer together? (Yes, obviously.) At one point the novel points out that there’s forced proximity and I laughed out loud–who doesn’t love a book that can acknowledge its trope? I just loved Bennett and Gia and thought they had such interesting lives. I think, like many romance books, the word “love” comes up WAY TOO FAST for people who just met (what is with this), but I have chosen to suspend belief and enjoy the book for what it is: a solid romance novel. I can’t wait to finish the series (slash go back and read the first one)!
Trigger warning re eating disorder.
Gia is in desperation mode, she has a wedding to get to in Florida and she has just discovered that not only have all the flights in her area been canceled, but now all the rental cars have been taken too. She doesn’t want to let her friends down, but she is running out of time and her options are pretty limited at this point too. Good thing fate has something in store for her, enter Bennett, the best man, and the man that is going to get her to the wedding on time.
It just requires her to spend copious amounts of time trapped with him in confines of his rental car, which is certain to be torturous on her libido, and her mind!
Three Little Words was an entertaining little page-turner, within it’s pages I found a well crafted story that satisfied on all fronts. It had banter to keep me giggling, steamy scenes to keep me swooning, and a little heart squeezing emotion threw in here and there to tug on my heartstrings. Highly recommend!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.
This was okay. The writing flowed well for the most part, but I wasn’t a fan of Gia’s for pretty much the whole book. She was rude, judgmental, and downright mean to Bennett. While I understand that Bennett might have been a little over the top, he wasn’t doing it to be mean or domineering. Gia kept throwing it in Bennett’s face that he was atoning for what happened to him, and he was to an extent, but at least his situation was one where there were repercussions. She was against a relationship because she dated a jerk for a month when she was 19. Not sure how those even compare. Gia forced Bennett to do things that he specifically told her he didn’t want to do, but she was helping. The reverse meant that Bennett was trying to run her life. Um, no. The ending was sweet, but I’m not completely convinced that Gia was worth all the effort for Bennett. I would be willing to give this author another read.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.
An entertaining romp that includes a mini-Cooper road trip in a snowstorm from Baltimore to a Florida wedding. Although they’re travelling light, this chef/best man and fashion model/bridesmaid are carrying a lot of baggage between. In the end, they manage to bring out the best in one another.
Jenny Holiday’s Bridesmaids Behaving Badly series is a breath of fresh air. I’ve been totally enamored with each character, couple and book since the very beginning. I was excited to get to the last chapter of this series — and finally get Gia’s story — and it in no way disappointed. In fact, it’s probably my favorite of the series. I adored everything about it.
Man oh man, did I love Gia and Bennett. They played so well off each other and their chemistry was A+. I love a good road trip story and Gia and Bennett’s was so perfect. I mean, hello, they went to South of the Border! What’s a trip down (or up) I95 without a stop at South of the Border?! They made me laugh and swoon and I read nearly all of this book with a big cheesy grin on my face. It wasn’t just the romance that made my heart happy, it was the friendships. Gia and her girls are goals. (And so are Bennett and his boys.) I read Three Little Words on Galentine’s Day and it was the perfect time to do it.
I’m a big fan of a good epilogue and OMG did Jenny ever deliver in Three Little Words. I won’t say too much because you deserve to get all the heart eyes — and a few tears — but it was EVERYTHING. It was the perfect way to close out the series. I get a little teary-eyed just thinking about it, tbh. I’m going to miss these characters, the friendships and relationships, but I love how everything wrapped up. I’ll be keeping an eye out to see what Jenny gives us next. I’m here for it. She’s easily one of my new favorite authors.

“I don’t want to be anyone’s girlfriend. I also don’t want to mislead anyone. So I make sure I don’t.”
“When your whole point in life is to be good-looking, it’s hard to find people who actually like you for you.”
Fuck her rules. Fuck his rules. They could call this whatever she liked that made it okay: casual, a hookup, a booty call. Because this was not over. No fucking way.
“I’m not going to try to control you. I know it’s not my job to fix you. I don’t even think you’re broken.”
Enjoyed – fast reading
This was a light and fun and flirty read and just right while I was suffering through the flu! Gia is convinced she is forever going to be only a bridesmaid and never a bride especially since she has a One and Done rule and not willing to break it. Bennett who is the best man for the upcoming wedding has his own set of rules which include a policy of No Flings! Oh, that will not do when all the flights out are canceled and they team up with the last available rental car and share a ride for the long trip to Florida for the wedding. This road trip turns out to be more than fun, it may turn into so much more including breaking a few rules! Definitely a recommendation from me. I didn’t read the rest of this series and I didn’t feel lost at all and would deem this a standalone, although I will probably go back and pick up the others only because this one was so much fun.
Pure perfection, my heart is so happy! A winter storm moves into New York, leaving Gia Gallo and Bennett Buchanan stranded. They both need to get to the same wedding destination in Florida, Gia has the wedding dress and Bennett has the rings. After multiple attempts to get a different flight, they’re best option is a rental car. Road trip with two strangers who have amazing chemistry and pasts they’d rather keep hidden…what could go wrong?
This is one of my favorite series, it always keeps me laughing and makes me almost want to try the dating world again, lol. The characters in this story are like family and have a strong bond that nobody can break. Such a wonderful journey of self-discovery, overcoming your past and fighting for happiness even if you’re in denial. I absolutely love the Bridesmaids Behaving Badly series and this is the best one yet!
Where can I sign myself up for a Bennett Buchanan?
No, seriously. This hero? He was nearly perfect for me – and not only because he could make amazing food. He’s alpha while not being overtly so, he’s patient, he’s humble, he’s giving, he’s steadfast, he’s funny, and well…like I said, the man knows his way around the kitchen.
Perfection.
And his chemistry with Gia? Spot on for me. Gia was a little harder to get on board with, but I also didn’t dislike her. I appreciated that the scene was flipped here and it was the snippets of Gia’s soft underbelly that kept me coming back for more. I wanted to shake her a couple times, but I also felt her in my heart. That is, she’s a bit of a prickly pear, but her heart was pure gold. And while I sometimes lost patience with the protective barriers she had put around it, I absolutely adored the end result here.
This series has been a bit of a mixed bag for me, but I loved seeing it all come together in this final installation. It was fun, swoony, with little emotional punches thrown in along the way. Definitely worth the read!
Three Little Words by Jenny Holiday is book Three in the Bridesmaids Behaving Badly Series. This is the story of Gia Gallo and Bennett Buchanan. I have read the previous books and that did add to my enjoyment of their story. Gia is headed to a wedding but ends up getting stuck along with Bennett. The two are now having to spend time together where they start learning more about the other. Both having different outlooks on relationship but the more they get to know one another the more their thoughts on relationships change. I have really enjoyed this series and look for more books from this author!
Seems that all the bridesmaids in their small group of friends are falling in love but Gia Gallo is certain she won’t be the next. After all her number one rule is One and Done! Best man Bennett Buchanan has a no fling rule but Gia Gallo may be worth breaking that rule. After all the flights out of the city are grounded Bennett and Gia set off on an impromptu road trip to Florida where the wedding is being held. These two will find it difficult to play by their rules!
I’ve really enjoyed this series and this book is a great addition. All the books are light, funny, and have little angst. This book is filled with humor and it makes for a nice relaxing read. I definitely recommend it.
My Rating:
4.5
Favorite Quotes:
Gia was Canadian, so admittedly, her impression of southern American culture was based on Duck Dynasty and the William Faulkner novels she’d read in her one year as a literature major, but this dude, with his drawl and his falsely pretty manners, sounded like he belonged in a rom-com romancing Reese Witherspoon.
A little smile played at the corner of her lips as she stared at his lap with unbroken concentration, like she was a Jedi master with the power to make men pop woodies with her mind.
Bennett was like a rare, complicated flower blooming in many phases.
What was it about Bennett? He could shift the entire tenor of a conversation with a single sentence. He could look at her like he was seeing inside her, like he was shining light on stuff that had been in the dark for as long as she could remember.
My Review:
I’m feeling conflicted about this one. I have adored the series, enjoyed the premise, smirked at the clever levity and thermonuclear sex scenes, and found the storylines entertaining and engaging; but I struggled to fully appreciate the main character of Gia. To most people outside of her friendship circle, Gia was rather vile; she was difficult, arrogant, entitled, prickly, and mean. She was rude and prone to going postal with service personnel when her needs were not met – gah! Gia was the type of person I make a point to avoid and maybe, umm, even feel compelled to spill my coffee on as they walked by. Yeah, I know, but sometimes karma needs a little help, or maybe I’m just too impatient to wait for karma to catch up to obnoxious snobs like that…
However, I was totally enamored with the lovely Bennett, he was a true altruist and the opposite of the cranky and snarky Gia. Bad weather threw the mismatched couple together for a long road trip in a Mini Cooper convertible, which, to me, sounded like a lower level of hell. As with the earlier books, there were wedding and family dramas aplenty, sweet and adorable updates and continuing stories of the previously featured couples, smoking hot sensual scenes, witty banter, profoundly insightful observations and inner musings, captivating subplots, and clever humor. I am growing rueful and melancholy with the realization that this may well be the last of the series as all the bridesmaids have now completed nuptials… I can only remain hopeful that this clever scribe will invent a few more people in need of wedding attendants, as I am unwilling to let this fun and feisty group go just yet.
This is such a fun series! I couldn’t wait to get my hands on Gia’s story and it did not disappoint! Though this is book 3 in the series, it can be read as a standalone. Previous characters do appear, however, and I think it would be best appreciated after reading the previous books.
I loved Bennett! *swoon* He was such a refreshing hero! He had some very heavy baggage from his past and even though he went to the extreme to atone, I admired his drive to become a better individual. There isn’t some adorable meet cute with Gia, but I appreciated that over time, the masks fell away to a degree and they truly saw the other for who they are. Their chemistry was fantastic and their scenes together were both sweet and smoking hot! The forced proximity trope is tricky for me, but I felt like the instalust turned love was handled really well and believable given their 2 personalities and histories. Yes, some things move at warp speed, but it was still a really enjoyable ride. I loved that both Bennett and Gia knew that ultimately they had to “save” themselves, but that they could recognize that help from those who love you goes a long way.
Catching up with the other characters in the series was a fun treat (Elise, Jane, and Wendy are a hoot!) and I don’t think the epilogue could have been more perfect! It was sweet and heartfelt and a wonderful way to give readers a glimpse into the future of these beloved characters. It definitely left me with a smile on my face!
*I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book*
Three little words. “I don’t date . . . One and done . . . Two and through . . . We’re just friends.” Now, you’d think all of those ideals belong to our hero, but no, it’s our feisty devil-minx, Gia, who lives by that philosophy. Bennett, on the other hand, doesn’t do random hook-ups and prefers a level of affection with the women he spends time with between the sheets. But when a snowstorm has Gia and Bennett missing their flight to Florida for Wendy and Noah’s wedding, their decision to drive together has them both reevaluating their stance on relationships.
Holiday has done it again with this latest book in the Bridemaids Behaving Badly series. I adore all of these characters, although I’ll admit, it took me some time to warm up to Gia. She’s one of those characters who requires the reader to look beyond the superficial, and when I got a look at her depths I easily loved her. Bennett I loved from the beginning, but he had his share of baggage that needed to be sorted through, too. They both had some difficult issues to deal with, and I loved how they worked on themselves while still supporting the other, and they really were perfect together. If you like your characters flawed but loveable, and a story full of humor, heat and heart, you’ll adore Gia and Bennett’s story!
*I reviewed this book freely and voluntarily, having made no commitment to provide a review and receiving no compensation of any kind from any source for this review.
Three Little Words is only the second book I’ve read by Jenny Holiday and its another winner. Gia and Bennett are wonderful characters and I enjoyed their interactions together and with friends. The only problem is now I have to get to the library and hope they have the other books in the Bridesmaids Behaving Badly series
Even though I was late to the party, Jenny Holiday’s Bridesmaids Behaving Badly series has easily become one of my favorites and Three Little Words is no exception. Though they are ostensibly about four women finding love, in reality they are about the friendship that sustains those four women. Holiday doesn’t skimp on the female relationships and her novels are stronger for it. Gia and Bennett are fun, but what really makes this book sing is Gia, Wendy, Jane, and Elise.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this novel.
**I voluntarily read an early copy of this title in exchange for an honest review**
I’ve greatly enjoyed every book in Jenny Holiday’s Bridesmaids Behaving Badly series and I couldn’t wait to jump into this book to see what this quartet of friends was going to get themselves involved with this time, outside of ultimately having a wedding!
Gia Gallo has always been the one in the group that hasn’t wanted a relationship. Her motto is “one and done” or “two and through” and she’s always stuck to that. She’s a model, so she’s always moving around, so it works for her for more reasons than most would understand.
Bennett Buchanan is a chef and owns a restaurant in New York City. He is Noah, the groom’s best friend, and he’s looking forward to a few days away even though he’s normally very hands on with his restaurant. Bennett is the kind of guy that likes to be in relationships and he’s pretty strict about how he goes about those relationships.
When Gia and Bennett end up stranded together in New York City as they are trying to fly to Florida for Wendy and Noah’s wedding, what starts out as two people sniping at each other, starts to grow a beautiful friendship. They are forced to spend time together and not only that, they end up being comfortable with one another. Confidences are shared, they enjoy one another’s company and it’s clear they have chemistry, but the question is will either of these stubborn people look at their situation and determine it might be worth breaking their self imposed rules?!
I loved the layers in this book. I felt like as we were moving through it was almost like an onion and we were peeling back another layer, whether it be from Gia or Bennett. This story flowed well for me and it seemed very realistic, from both of their concerns about relationships as well as the other baggage they both carried from earlier in their lives and even currently. Jenny Holiday created such a wonderful group of characters and I’m so glad we got to enjoy the awesomeness of them once again!
