A beautiful sweet standalone in the Billionaire Rekd series. A true page turning storyline with love and healing power of music as you feel the struggles and insecurities these amazing characters have as they overcome their personal and individual problems while growing trust. Their is so much in the entertaining story with a bonus of seeing and advance other characters within the series. T hff e narrow does an amazing job of character differences and really feeling the emotions and situations the author was trying to portray.
Out of the Billionaire Boys Eze’s story was the one I have been waiting for the most. I was also not disappointed. I love clean romances with no sex in them. They seem more real to me. Also they have a flair of having a lot more dialogue than the other kinds do. Donna K. Weaver has done an extraordinary job on all the books in this series and as I said being the one I most waited for is my favorite
Three Fortunes for the Billionaire (Billionaires of REKD Book 3) was a good read by Donna K. Weaver. Ezreal Wallach is a billionaire musician who can’t talk in front of crowds or women he doesn’t know. He’s asked to help with a music program for underprivileged children. He is about to refuse until he meets Sara Fortune and her children. Sara finds herself drawn to Ezreal but is afraid that they’re all growing too attached to him. I really enjoyed reading Ezreal and Sara’s story. I can’t wait to read more by the author.
Okay, this one! Ezreal is one of the billionaire boys of REKD and he has always had a problem with stuttering when he has to speak in front of people, especially women. He writes the music for the programs but lately has been having a problem with composing but when he meets the children who live next door to Rafe’s mom they start the music in his head but when he meets their mom the music in his head explodes. She is just as shy and vulnerable but only because she is really in hiding. These two are perfect for each other and add in the children and the music and it is beautiful music. Definitely my favorite story so far!
Three Fortunes for the Billionaire
Billionaires of REKD, Book 3
By: Donna K. Weaver
Narrated by: Vicki Pierce
Sometimes a series can lose it’s edge as books come out, but this one to me just keeps getting better! Donna K Weaver has woven a story with Ezreal and Sara that will make you heart sing. Sara is a music teacher and has two children. Ezreal is helping her with her music studio where she will give lessons, but what he really finds is so much more. But will they both learn to trust? This story takes a delicate subject and brings it to the forefront. There is no glossing over, and Weaver allows us to feel fear and frustration. She also lets us learn to adjust and love again. I loved Ezreal so much! He’s awkward but has a heart of gold. And Sara is a woman who has so much love and strength, it’s just amazing. Add in the kids and all our favorites from the first two books, it was like coming home and enjoying my friends. There’s a comforting feeling in Weaver’s writing and I loved this one the most in the series.
Vicki Pierce has a way of bringing this series to life. She has a great array of voices and keeps them consistent between books. That makes the listen so much better for me, as I know who is talking! She is amazing with this book, seamlessly switching from young child to adult with ease and making the story flow.

I received a free copy of the short novel Billionaires of REKD book 3:Three Fortunes for the Billionaire by Donna K. Weaver and this review was given freely.
This sequel follows a similar time line to the last two books and highlights Kayn’s trips to new York and the attack on Rafe and Ahri. Introverted Ezreal must overcome his social awkwardness and shyness around women when his partners force him into the job of the Gaming Music Department Head and also guilt him into giving free piano lessons to underprivileged children with Rafe’s mother’s neighbor and single mother of two Sara. Regaining self esteem and the ability to trust new people after surviving abuse and, overcoming disabilities are just a few of the themes is this emotionally gripping story of a family and a musical genius/ billionaire who find love and healing in each other. The wonderful genius but quirky personality of Ezreal, Ezreal’s well meaning but at times pushy friends, and the heartwarming ending make this emotion packed novel with hints of suspense a truly enjoyable read.
I have been waiting for Ezreal’s story since the first book in this series. He is such a complex character and Sara ends up being complex as well, but they are so good together. I loved this book and all the complexities. The kids added a great dynamic to the story as did the music. This was a great addition to the series and I’m excited to read Darius’ story next.
Ezreal’s and Sara’s story is sweet and poetic. It is the tale of two shy, introverted and vulnerable individuals sharing a passion for music and warm, loving and sensitive disposition. Their background is very different: Sara is fleeing from a past of violence and abuse, while Ezreal, once an insecure and bullied child, is now one of the billionaire owners of REKD Games. The lively and colorful cast of characters of the previous episodes surrounds the two protagonists, enriching the plot. Last but not least, children play prominent roles in the story, giving life to a slate of moving and inspirational moments. The whole narration is permeated by music, to the extent that the reader can almost hear a constant accompaniment while progressing through the page. The overall result is an inspiring and moving tale, a story that soothes and warms the soul, and a book to go back to from time to time to revive a sense of harmony and hope.
This is a good book!
A Woman who’d had a controlling and abusive home life as a child and again in her marriage. She was in hiding from her ex-husband.
A man with a severe stutter when around women because of his childhood.
Both were gifted with the ability to hear music in their surroundings that others could not hear. This gave them a commonality that drew them to each other.
In this book, you come to love the characters! Each with their struggles, yet their presence brought peace to the other.
Really good book!
“Three Fortunes for the Billionaire” by Donna K. Weaver
A suspense filled contemporary sweet clean romance story. A story that will keep you tied to whatever your source for reading this story may be. I received an ARC of this story from the author and I was supposed to watch for typos and such…. well I failed that objective because if there were any typos… they did not register with my brain beyond maybe doing some auto ‘spell check’ updating and I just kept right on reading and devouring this story right up to the last word on the last page. Yes, I really liked this story. Which must be obvious even to a casual observer. Wishing you… Happy Reading.

Three Fortunes for the Billionaire (Billionaires of REKD Book 3), my sixth read from author Donna K. Weaver and my third in the Billionaires of REKD Book 2. There are a lot of billionaire books out there but this is not your typical one. A well-written story from a very good author. Vicki Pierce’s narration adds to the enjoyment. I was given an Audible copy of this book and am voluntarily reading & reviewing it. The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. I’ll be reading more from her as I already own 12 more of her books. A well-written story from a very good author. No spoilers from me. You need to buy and read the book then leave a review. Donna K. Weaver does a fantastic job writing the struggles associated with being a victim of abuse. You can feel the underlying fear in everything that Sara does. Donna writes Sara as both strong and yet vulnerable. A victim of spousal abuse, she gained her freedom but knows her ex is looking for her. You can feel the tension in her story as she tries to move forward while always looking over her shoulder. She has a vision to do music lessons for underprivileged children but isn’t sure she wants a man to be close enough to help.
Ezreal was bullied as a child because of his stuttering, but through his music he made a place for himself as one of the owners of REKD, a successful video gaming company. Donna pulls you into Ezreal’s vulnerabilities as you feel his hesitation with Sara. He’s never been able to converse with women, so how will he handle working with her on a regular basis?
The love of and healing power of music is threaded throughout the story and draws Sara and Ezreal together. Each of them struggle with their insecurities as trust grows between them. Can Sara take a chance on the gentle man she sees in Ezreal or is there a dark side hiding in every man just waiting to show up?
Throw in some familiar characters and some adorable children and you have the perfect formula for a great read.
I recommend this book to everyone who loves a sweet romance.
A lovely and well written sweet romance that had some unusual characters and solid dialogue. Enjoyed the character development, and found the romantic thread very sweet. Just lacked a little spark for me.
This was a great story. I loved reading about Ezreal. He is such a quiet, unassuming man. Ezreal has a depth to him that not many are able to tap into. Sara is a strong woman character. She cares for her children and she has a heart for music. Both characters have some hurts and hang-ups that challenge their relationship. The plot of the story moves and kept me reading from chapter to chapter. I love the sweet romance and the suspense of the abusive ex. I recommend to those that love sweet clean romance with a little bit of intrigue.
Not “another” billionaire book
Music flowed throughout this story of the composer and the single mother. I loved the way Ezreal and Sara’s little daughter, Jenna, were able to overcome their shyness towards each other through the way they both hear music in everyday life. Ezreal’s habit of getting lost in his world of composing at the oddest moments (like the dinner table) added to the things that made this quirky, gentle man endearing.
While I did (and sometimes still do) have a lisp that was severe enough for me to need speech therapy, shyness and speaking was never a problem. So, while I couldn’t relate to Ezreal’s fear of women which caused him to lisp, the author helped me to empathize with him. It was so fun to see him attempt to communicate with Sara through talking to Jenna because he was comfortable with her. The conversations and the little girl’s compassion were so sweet!
An undertone of impending danger carried through the story – knowing that Sara’s ex had been stalking her until she found a way to disappear. This was lightened by the romance and the interactions between Ezreal and Sara’s children.
For those who roll their eyes at the “”billionaire”” books (as I generally do), rest assured that this story is not all about Ezreal being rich. That only comes into play when there is a concern about publicity and in relation to the fact that he is one of the partners at REKD, a video game company. I wouldn’t even have picked this one up if it wasn’t by an author I trust like Donna K. Weaver.
While the subject of domestic abuse is covered, it is handled sensitively and there are not many details given. It appears in the story more related to the fear Sara and her children lived in and in the ways Sara has had to learn to overcome attitudes formed from a lifetime of abusive men.
The stories in the Billionaires of REKD series share a timeline – Three Fortunes for the Billionaire takes place concurrently with the others and they really should be read in order.
