Helicopter pilot Taylor Blankenship’s time schedule is maxed out. Between his job, his one-hundred and fifty pound slobbering mess of a dog, and his matchmaking grandmother, he has no time for anyone or anything—especially a woman. If only there were a way to get Grams to back down. The job of New York City dog walker suits Caitlin Ramos perfectly while she preps for her CPA exam—steady, … exam—steady, scheduled, and requiring very little human interaction; a huge seller since she’s still on the mend from a toxic relationship. Men suck. Especially her bossy, hot client with the Saint Bernard that thinks it’s a lap dog. No way will she go for his plan to pretend they’re engaged to get his grandmother off his case. Down, boy.
Offered a bargain she can’t refuse, Caitlin finds herself playing the part of fiancée to Taylor. Fortunately, it’s only for three days. All she has to do is fake a relationship with Mr. Bossy Pants in front of his entire family, survive a fierce game of truth or dare with an unscrupulous pair of octogenarians, endure a one-on-one round of Twister with Taylor, and not lose her heart to a guy who turns out to be a lot more than she’d bargained for.

Dog walker Caitlin Ramos was having a rotten morning. When her day quickly goes from bad to worse, the last thing she needs is a man telling her what to do, especially since she’s just left her cheating and domineering ex behind. But she can’t leave his St Bernard, Beau, in distress so she agrees to stay until he “produces” the antique engagement ring he swallowed.
Taylor Blankenship has no time for a relationship. His schedule as a helicopter pilot is erratic and all his free time is given to his dog. That doesn’t stop his family from pushing for him to get a girlfriend, though.
When Taylor’s grandmother shows up unexpectedly at his apartment and finds Caitlin wearing her engagement ring she gave to Taylor for when he found the woman he would marry, she’s thrilled and invites the couple to her birthday getaway. Not wanting to break her heart, Taylor makes a deal with Caitlin to attend and pretend they’re engaged for the 3 day weekend. But, when the two are alone and spending time with Taylor’s extended family, things suddenly feel way more real than either intended. And, what will Taylor and Caitlin do once the weekend is over and they are supposed to go their separate ways?
Three Day Fiancée was my first book by Marissa Clarke, but it definitely won’t be my last! What started out as an enjoyable rom com quickly turned in to something that was so much more.
I loved Taylor and Caitlin and how quickly they were thrown together. While they started off faking things, their chemistry was off the charts. It was also clear that the first impressions they had of one another wasn’t all to be seen and a friendship quickly grows. Super sweet and fun moments happen throughout the weekend that draw them closer and closer together, entwining them together more than either expected making them both wonder why they couldn’t somehow be a couple. But knowing Taylor was moving for his job and Caitlin was staying for hers made things feel insurmountable. I loved that they both seemed to have the qualities the other really needed and, I also enjoyed their interactions with the rest of Taylor’s fun loving family.
Three Day Fiancée was really a fun loving and sweet story with a great mix of heat, comedy and good old fashioned romance. Both Beau and this book are completely adorable! 5 stars!
What a great read! I really enjoyed this book, and loved the main characters, Taylor and Caitlin. And of course Beau, the lap dog St. Bernard! The story flowed and the secondary characters were great. I really liked the world the author created and wished I could have spent more time in it. It was one of those stories that just flew by, and I laughed and sighed and wished I could have been a partner at Animal Attraction. I’m just hoping that we’ll get Fiona’s story soon. She deserves a happy ending, too.
