Dee Henderson Pens Another Compelling Cold Case Mystery Evie Blackwell’s reputation as a top investigator for the Illinois State Police has landed her an appointment to the governor’s new Missing Persons Task Force. This elite investigative team is launched with plenty of public fanfare. The governor has made this initiative a high priority, so they will have to produce results–and quickly. … results–and quickly.
Evie and her new partner, David Marshal, are assigned to a pair of unrelated cases in suburban Chicago, and while both involve persons now missing for several years, the cases couldn’t be more different. While Evie opens old wounds in a close-knit neighborhood to find a missing college student, David searches for a private investigator working for a high-powered client.
With a deep conviction that “justice for all” truly matters, Evie and David are unrelenting in their search for the truth. But Evie must also find answers to the questions that lie just beneath the surface in her personal life.

I just love her books. The Naval Series and Chicago based stories are phenomenal.
Excellent book with moral characters.
Love, love, love Dee Henderson’s stories. The O’malley Series is an all time favorite in our home.
Evie Blackwell an investigator for the Illinois State Police is now time-sharing her regular assignment along with the newly formed Missing Persons Task Force, The Task Force was created by the governor to look at cold cases of missing persons. Evie is partnered on the task force with David Marshal, who previously was a member of the New York City Police Department and has now recently relocated to his hometown of Chicago. The seasoned detectives select two cases to work alone and also share thoughts as part of a two person team. David’s case is a missing Private Investigator and Evie’s case is a missing college student. The two single cases which occur in the same county begin to meld together to create an interesting police procedural. I usually enjoy Dee Henderson’s books as they bring Christian lives together as part of the storyline however Threads of Suspicion moved a little slow for me.
Dee Henderson writes characters that are believable. They struggle with the same things you and I deal with. I love how she does this. Thank you!!
