“Kait Nolan’s THOSE SWEET WORDS is a beautiful romance about love, life, and what it means to be family. Pru is every woman who’s ever struggled and sacrificed to do what’s best for her family, and Flynn is nothing short of a dreamboat. I laughed, I cried, and I can’t wait for the next Misfit Inn romance!” OFFICER’S EX-WIVES CLUB author PIPPA GRANT Pru Reynolds is the reliable sister, the one … sister, the one everybody depends on, so of course she’s the natural choice to adopt the foster child her late mother left behind–even if she’s got no one to help share the load. At thirty, becoming the mom of a teenager means big changes, and Pru’s ready to do whatever it takes to adopt Ari. But before she settles down she wants one thing for herself.
Enter Flynn Bohannon, the sinfully sexy Irish musician in town for her sister’s wedding. He’s led the kind of life Pru can hardly imagine. He’s no one’s idea of stability, but he’s the perfect guy for a crazy fun fling before her life changes. When Pru proposes a no-strings affair, Flynn’s all on board. But when unexpected complications endanger the adoption, the two find themselves in a phony engagement.
Now they have to convince a sharp-eyed, skeptical social worker, a teen who’s too smart for her own good, three dubious sisters, and one protective brother-in-law that Flynn’s willing to give up the gypsy life and settle down. But in convincing everyone that this relationship is real, will they convince each other as well?

Absolutely adorable story about magic of love!
Love, love, love, love, love!!
Starting next in series!
Characters were believable. They invite the reader into the story.
Pru. Flynn. Ari. Perfection!
Kait Nolan knows how to fill my heart to overflowing. Looking forward to more!
Scotish musician visits friends wedding and falls inlove with her sister, who is in the process of adopting a daughter. Lot of difficulties follow. Goodbook along with Sweet Beginnings.
I absolutely adore Kait Nolan’s Misfit series; the books are sweet and funny and full of such wonderful quirky characters, it’s simply impossible to get enough. While I think Kennedy’s and Maggie’s are my favorite, I just love Flynn and can’t get enough of him, and the dynamic with him and Ari is just heartmelting. <3
Fantastic! I loved this story so much! The Reynolds girls / Misfit Inn are dear to my heart and this one, (the last of the sisters’ stories I’ve read, for some reason) was especially so as we have an adopted daughter (and son) as well. A child finding the home and family of their heart is a blessing for the world. Add to that touching storyline a lovely Irishman who has also been searching for a place and person to call ‘home’ and you have the perfect story. Thanks, Kait for nurturing our hearts once again.
Fell in love with this story what a great author
Loved the characters in this story whose common bond is their foster care experiences. They are dedicated to family and enjoy working together to solve challenging issues.
Kati Nolan’s endearing characters hook you in from the start.
This is the first book I have read by this author and I loved it! I will for sure be reading more by her and be reading this whole series can’t wait!!! 🙂
I enjoyed this story. Easy to read and believe.
The Misfit Inn series is about romance and complications and family (family by love and friendship). Each book is a standalone but is so much better when read in order. In this book the Irish gypsy and the family rock meet and the magic begins. How much did I enjoy it? I read it in one seating (who needs sleep) and will be purchasing the rest of the series soon. This is a fun tale, rich in detail and warm feelings. Bravo!!
I received a free copy of this book via BookFunnel and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Audible.
I think I’ve found the perfect-for-me team in Kait Nolan & Amy McFadden. I already loved McFadden and discovered Nolan’s work through her. This is my 3rd Misfit Inn book and again, it’s 5 stars.
Nolan has the best balance of relationship development, romance, a little bit of drama without dragging it out, and couples I can’t help but root for. I also appreciate that, like previous couples, I get to enjoy Pru & Flynn beyond the last few pages or an epilogue. This one was especially fun for me as I’m a sucker for a kid in the mix, 13yo Ari’s comments are a fun addition to the story.
McFadden does a great job of not only Flynn’s Irish accent, but continuing to give each Reynolds sister their own unique voice that remains consistent between the books.
I have been provided with a review copy of Those Sweet Words by the author for an impartial review. This is the second book in the Misfit Inn series and it brings you back into the Reynolds sister’s world. In this book you get to see Pru Reynolds and Flynn Bohannon find their way to each other. I really enjoyed getting to learn more about these characters that we had previously met in the first book in the series When You Got A Good Thing. I loved watching Pru and Flynn find each other it was really beautiful to see and I can’t wait to read the next book about these sisters.
I thoroughly enjoyed this sweet read! The unpredictability of the plot, the evocative setting, the fantastic character development, and the author’s voice… All these things hooked me right from the start and drew me right in. I wish these characters were my friends!
What a wonderful trope for a series. In this 2nd installment the originally adopting mom has passed away and the group has decided that Pru will be the one to stay and run the inn and finish the adoption of Ari.
Pru didn’t count on falling in love or a change in caseworker to a hard ass rule follower.
There is a genius opposites make perfect twist in the circumstances of Pru’s father and Flynn’s upbringing.
This is a heartwarming story … ran a little slow at one point … likely parts that will foretale the next story … and it is a clean romance. Yes, they have sex… beautifully written… no biological details.
Cute
Misfit Inn continues with adopted sisters finding their HEA Pru & Flynns story is quick and sweet. Caught in a compromising position the announce a fake engagement leading to a HEA.
Those Sweet Words is another terrific story by the talented Kait Nolan.
Pru and Flynn are a dynamite couple. I love the way Flynn brought out the fun, adventurous side of Pru and was determined to bring joy and sunshine into her life. A sexy man, with an Irish brogue(I heard it every time he spoke) and a heart as big as Texas, would be enough to make any woman swoon. Add in that he has no qualms about taking on a teenager (and falls in love with her, too) and Flynn is beyond swoon-worthy. Pru is the most level-headed of the sisters and I was thrilled to watch her ‘let her hair down’ and start enjoying life. Her relationship with Ari was so realistic and heart-warming. Without even trying, Pru and Ari made Flynn yearn for roots and feel like he was finally home.
I envisioned Almira Gulch(Wizard of OZ) every time Lydia Cooper was mentioned. She was a perfect villain for this sweet story.
If you enjoy sweet romances with tons of romantic moments and gestures (no descriptive sex, YAY!), realistic characters, and all the feels, wrapped up in a well-written, keeps you turning pages as fast as you can, story, then this is the book for you. I urge you to read Those Sweet Words as well as Book 1 When You Got A Good Thing. I’m eagerly awaiting the next book in this awesome series.
