Dear readers,
THORN is a little differnt to my usual, it’s a high school bully romance with high levels of angst, drama and emotions. It is an upper YA romance and not intended for readers under 17.

Told in alternating POVs, this bully romance is full of angst and sexual tension! We’re given a Hero who lashes out because he’s hurting and a Heroine who won’t back down when expected.
Truly a classic bully romance, nothing too over the top or dark.
Just a jaded jock who doesn’t know how to deal with the attraction he feels for the new girl who reminds him of the one woman he hates more than anything. I wasn’t a fan of the reason for his hate BUT everything else worked for me once he got over that bit.
Jake does everything in his power to hold on to the feelings of hate that Amalie evokes in him. Eventually he fails and slowly starts to recognize the differences between Amalie and the woman she reminds him of. I really enjoyed their secret meet ups and the softer side that Jake only showed when they were alone.
I wasn’t a fan of the last 10% or so. Didn’t hate it but felt like it was just thrown in there to tie up the book. I mean, come on! After getting the dude to open up, confess his pain and love to her…she just leaves! Doesn’t text or call. Just leaves the country and dude doesn’t know if she’s coming back?! Thats rude. Things ended on more of a “Happy For Now” note (but IT IS high school, so that’s as good as it gets right?).
Thornis book 1 in the Rosewood High series and I’m ready for book 2! Lorraine definitely built up the mystery behind Mason and Camila’s falling out and I can’t wait to dive into their story!
Shes the new girl at Rosewood High. The one everyone has already formed an opinion of.
He is no exception. He hates everything about her, and she is going to more than know about it!
Sate the devil that’s sat on your shoulder needing chaos and destruction with this bullylicious read.
So much hate and loathing, anger and Fury within his heart. His wrath should be avoided at all costs for hes the King of the school.
She’s hurting so much, and just wants to survive the two years unscathed, but who’s the boy who keeps glaring at her.
I both hated and loved Thorn at the same time. He’s such a unique character.
Whilst he might on the outside be the typical quaterback, underneath the surface there are so many complicated and intricate layers to his dominant personality.
Amalie is quite the tough cookie wrapped up in a gorgeous package. She’s more than her looks, and more than her sass she’s the real thing.
I’ve not read Tracy before and in a way I’m glad because this is the perfect introduction to her.
I’m left wanting and needing more, knowing that I’m going to love her next book as her style of writing speaks to me.
A bully romance that runs through a lot of emotions.
Jake Thorn targets Amalie from the moment she arrives at Rosewood high school. Devastated from losing her parents, moving to America and losing a year of school due to transfer grades Amalie is just looking to keep her head down and out of anyone’s way. Unfortunately, Jake Thorn puts a target on her back the moment she walks in the school and she has no idea why he hates her upon sight.
Jake hasn’t had an easy life. He may be the king of Rosewood High, but it’s a mask he wears while he’s within the walls of school. When he sees Amalie for the very first time it takes him back to the worst day of his life, when he was a little boy and he was left at his aunt and uncles. Amalie releases memories and emotions in him that he’s had on lockdown for years and he plans to make her pay for what he lost and the world she represents.
Our brains are tricky beasts. Why do we like certain things and dislike others? Experience usually trains us to a certain behavior and in Jake’s instance he hates Amalie because of his past and her looks. He is dead set to ruin her because of it, but he’s also attracted to her which is a conundrum for him to figure out. How do you like something which represents something you hate?
Amalie finds herself in the same boat, but on the opposite side. She comes into a new school with a clean slate, but eventually dislikes Jake based on everything he does to her. How can she be attracted to someone who continally abuses her? She is confused by the emotions that run through her, but she also feels there is more to the boy hiding behind the mask he wears.
Is there a middle ground for these two to meet or will they do too much damage to ever mend?
I loved this story and while I wanted to hate Jake but I found that I just couldn’t even when he was being cruel and punishing Amalie “Brit” for just being like his mother. I loved Cam, Mason, Ethan and Shane and how they were interwoven into the story. I am looking forward to Mason’s story next as his seems so tortured. Highly Recommend this book and author!!!

The English Rose and the Thorn who stole her heart. I floved this story. Bully romances are my jam and I rarely find one I don’t like. It had many of the genres Staples popular jock and new girl. But these characters had a depth to them beyond their years. Each had suffered loss in their lives and it was great watching them navigate from enemies to lovers. A thrilling ride from start to finish. Get this book.

Bully Romance is becoming one of my favorite tropes.
Amalie has moved to America from London after a tragic accident killed her parents. Jake is captain of the football team and king of the school. The minute he sees Amalie it triggers his memories from his past and he decides to make her pay. I love how Amalie stood strong and never backed down and once you get to know Jake you see him in a different light. The only thing is I think Amalie forgave somethings way to easily. It was a good story with great characters. Can’t wait for Mason’s story.
This is a dark bully enemy to lover story that has some possible triggers for some readers. I found it an interesting read as the female who is being bullied fought back and refused to back down. Lots of emotion in this story as the author doesn’t hold back.

One thing’s for sure. I wasn’t supposed to want her. I wanted to hurt her, not want to make her fucking mine.
This is why I love bad boys!
My first book by this author. And I’m blown away by it. It was so captivating! If I had the next book in my hands, I’d jump right into that one. Luckily February isn’t so far away.
I’m eager to see what else she has up her sleeve and to see where she goes with this new series! #cantwait The ending of Thorn has left me wanting!
He is a royal pain to her. he is wanting to dominate her even thou they are only teenagers He sees red when someone touches her or another male talks to her. It was good

Thorn is book 1 in the Rosewood High Series and is Jake and Amalie’s story. It is an enemies to lovers, high school bully new adult romance with mature content
I really enjoyed this story, it was captivating, fast paced, well written and I found myself not wanting to put it down. It was full of angst and a few heart wrenching, raw and real moments as well as some sweet ones
Jake – I’ll start off by saying Jake began as a unlikable character (purposely of course). He was the king of the high school and cold, distant, arrogant, the way he spoke about females was a little hard to hear and his hatred for Amalie at the start was harsh but as the story progressed and he slowly let down his walls and the more you got to know him and his back story and where his animosity stems from you start to understand his pain and will surely fall in love with him like I did. I loved watching his character grow and seeing him realise that maybe he was wrong to think and feel the way he did about certain situations at the beginning
Amalie – she was such a strong and beautiful character. I loved everything about her. Here she is in a new country at a new school after loosing both her parents in a horrible accident and being tormented by the schools hot shot popular athlete for reasons she does not know. I like how she stood her ground and pushed back each time she was pushed even though she couldn’t help but be drawn to the schools bad boy Jake
I was also super intrigued by the side characters and can not wait for Paine Book 2 in this series.
This was the first book I’ve read by Tracy and can’t wait to read some more
This is the first book that I have read by Tracy Lorraine. I enjoyed this story. In my opinion, it was a light bully romance. One part of the book that I felt should have more emotion added, was the heroine lost both her parents. That is a very traumatic experience. Her bully didn’t even acknowledge that great loss or give her a slight break because of it. His feelings were severely misplaced. But once, the truth came out, it was a sweet and endearing love story. I’m very excited for the next book in the series. I have a feeling it will be even better!
Wow! Where do I start?! This is my second book by Ms. Lorraine and it was a very slow start however I kept pushing through to see what was gonna happen and because I was so focused on trying to figure out the person that had caused Jake so much pain, I didn’t realize that I was nearly finished with the book. I also wanted to know why he was projecting so much of his hate towards new girl Amalie.
Every time I had to set this book down for one reason or another, I was cursing Jake for being such a jerk. But I’m not gonna lie that when Jake and Amalie’s fiery chemistry finally explodes I was so happy when Jake finally realized that Amalie is nothing like the woman he was plotting his revenge against. But Amalie took everything Jake dished out at her, she also never let him see her cry…that is the type of heroine I love reading about!! Can’t wait for Mason and Camila’s story!!
Amalie is a British girl living with her grandmother in America after her parents were killed. She is a new student at Rosewood High. Jake is the king in the high school and takes an immediate dislike to Amalie. He treats her like garbage because she reminds him of someone in his past. There is attraction between them as well but Jake ends up with another girl. The two end up fighting and back together many times. Not a bad read unless you don’t like OW drama, I don’t mind if it fits the story.

This was a great story and was very entertaining. Once I started I could not put it down.
Young people going thru a lot especially in their early adulthood years. The bullying, the first love..finding themselves
The chemistry between the hero and heroine is sizzling hot.
If you into great love stories, I would recommended.
Tracy writing is always great. It grabs you from first page.

A well-told bully story. Amalia who is the new girl and is put away by the school hottie as old dirt. She cannot simply be put away and resists his attention. Despite everything there is a strong attraction between them. I like Amalia. She does not let herself fool around and stands her ground. She won’t let Jake alienate her even more. Jake sees in her a fake woman who reminds him of his mother who abandoned him as a little boy. Slowly but surely he finds out that she is not at all like his mother and regrets the things he has done. Despite his initial feelings toward Amalia, he realizes that he cannot stay away from her

4,5 star
This is the first book of the Rosewood High series and OMG! This was my first book by Tracy but not the last. The characters were somethimes annoying but loveable. The plot was nicely constructed.
Amalie is a powerful heroine & Jack is an asshole hero. I’m really sorry about what happened to them in the past. But when they are together the world will disappear around them. Amalie’s feeling that under the surface there’s more than one asshole. Jack feels like Amalie is more than any other girl.
This is a nice story about moving on and love and a bit of high school bullying.
I loved this book. Jake is the bully who you really wanted to hate but you couldn’t . Amelia the subject of is hatred couldn’t hate him either much to her dismay and we find ourselves watching their interactions with baited breathe, I really enjoyed the story plus all the other characters especially Mason and Camilla. I can’t wait to find out what is going on between them. I received a free copy of this book via booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Jake despises Amelie. Amelie is new to the school and has no idea why Jake hates her so much. Jake does everything in his power to ruin her. What happens when Jake take a second look? Can Amelie break through Jake’s impenetrable walls to his soft heart underneath or will she go back to London forever? A great story. Highly recommend!!
I loved this story. It has it all. Two YA who have not been dealt the easiest life. Both broken but they handle it different. When together they sort of heal each other but how can they make it work. She is from London and he wants to leave all behind when he finishes high school.
A story that made me want to give both characters a hug and make them believe that everything would be okay. Their insecurity and lack of self-confidence was overwhelming. I just cheered for them. Their chemistry is over the top. The attraction was instant but how to handled that was a big problem for them.
I loved this couple.
A story that is very captivating and so well written that I just had to read it in one sitting. Amazing. Cannot wait for the next book. Please hurry!
It kept me on the edge and waiting for more to come. It felt so real all of it.
Tracy Lorraine absolutely went to my list over the top 3 authors with this story. Keep up this amazing writing. I will be there as your fan!
