Knight in shining armor?More like alpha-hole of the century.ISABELHe’s dark, rude, brooding and mean – and he’s my new bodyguard. My father Oz is the president of the Death Devils MC. He wants me safe, and out of the way.And unfortunately, Thorn is the man he’s chosen for the job.I don’t need a babysitter. I’ve been taking care of myself for a damn long time now. I don’t think sexy, alpha Thorn is … myself for a damn long time now.
I don’t think sexy, alpha Thorn is too excited about it either.
But I’ll be damned if I’ll make his life any easier.
I hate him for abducting me.
I hate my father even more for thinking I’m some fragile flower.
But what I hate most of all is the way Thorn makes me feel when he says dirty, filthy things to me.
I want to fight him. I need to resist.
But the harder I try, the more I realize I can’t keep fighting forever.
THORN
She thinks I’m a fcking asshole. She’s not wrong.
Protecting the rival MC president’s daughter is definitely not on my gddmn bucket list.
When I get stuck with Isabel, I know from the beginning it’s going to be a sht show.
Her own father is keeping her in the dark about how much danger she’s in.
All she knows is I’m holding her prisoner against her will.
I don’t expect Isabel to understand.
But my prez makes it crystal clear: I can’t mess this up.
If anything happens to her – anything at all — the shaky alliance between our two clubs will fall like a house of cards.
It’ll be all out war. And it all hangs on me.
Even though I’d fck her in a heartbeat, I know I shouldn’t.
Shouldn’t touch her.
Shouldn’t taste her.
Shouldn’t bring her to my bed and make her scream out my name until her throat is raw.
But I’ve never been a man who lives by what I shouldn’t do.
And it’s only a matter of time before I’ve crossed that line.
I’ll mark her as mine.
I’ll protect her — no matter what.
But if I fck this up, at least one of us won’t make it out alive.
THORN is a full-length, stand-alone novel. It is also the fifth book in the Lords of Carnage MC series. This steamy-as-hell, alpha male romance between a bad boy and the feisty, fiery woman he can’t resist ends with a guaranteed HEA, has no cheating and absolutely no cliffhanger.

Another Fantastic story by Daphne Loveling. Once I started this book I could not put it down. It was a Great read. The story flowed effortlessly, the characters were likeable and relatable. Thorn immediately wants to protect Isabel when he meets her, especially the way she was handed off to him. There is an attraction between the two of them. Their chemistry was outstanding, but it was more of a push and pull kind of thing. Thorn could be down right mean and nasty to Isabel. The suspense was killing me, it kept me intrigued. I liked that we got to see other members form the MC from previous books. I have enjoyed this series immensely. Hopefully there is more to come from the Lords of Carnage MC.
Absolutely love this book. Thorn and Isabel have a hate to love relationship. Both tried to stay away but live always prevail. All the books in this series are well written and entertaining. Thorn has to babysit/watch out for Isabel. Which happens to be their rival club presidents daughter. Drama, fast pace and a lot of hotness.
I voluntarily reviewed this advance reader copy of this book.
Thorn was such a good book, loved that our heroine Isabel is the daughter of a rival MC and that Thorn from our Lords MC was called to be her bodyguard, it seemed so fitting for Thorn, lol. Loving this series!!
If you like MC Club stories then this is a good one. The daughter of a rival gang is in trouble and another gang is asked to protect her. Thorn takes her to a remote cabin to hide out and as hard as he tries he can’t resist her.
Intense!
Intense and passionate story with lots of action. Could not put this on down.
Isabelle has the misfortune of being a target for her father’s MC enemy so he calls the Lords of Carnage MC to watch over her. He picks Thorn and he fights it all the way. I did not like the way he treated Isa at any point. I loved Isa and how sassy she was and how she never broke down. I loved the other MC members as well.
Thorn is the bad boy Irish bike with a past that left him sorta broken. When he is asked by Rock his president to be bodyguard to daughter of another club president. He don’t like but he does it. When he meets his charge things change.
Isabel is a strong woman with an over baring father who is trying to keep.her safe. She thinks he is paranoid when she meets Thorn things start to change for her. Will they be able to keep their feels in check or will the fall into Them.
This book was amazing like the rest of them. Keeps you wanting more. Can’t wait for more from her .
Thorn is protecting Isabel for her father, Oz. Oz is the president of the death devils MC. Thorn must keep Isabel alive and absolutely has been warned off the MC princess. Isabel has tried to keep away from the MC and not be part of that life. She describes Thorn as an alpha hole. It so fit him. These two have chemistry from their first meeting. A great book 5 in the Lords of Carnage series. On to book 6.
Loved it
I loved both characters. The book was fairly fast paced and well written. Both characters were interesting, witty, and clever. I highly recommend this book.
Bot could not finish it
You were rooting for them from the beginning. And to find out their stories and how they will react to it!
Super sizzling; out of the frying pan and into the fire
Thorn: Lords of Carnage MC, Book 5 by Daphne Loveling is a very well written MC romance with a drool and swoon worthy brooding MC bad boy with a heart of gold beneath his gruff exterior. All he needs is exactly what he thought he never wanted; a sassy spitfire woman to break down his walls. And she tests his resolve! Isabel just wants to live her life and no one will tell her why she has to hide away. Her need to be free results in her captivity. Man do sparks fly with these two!
This book is truly stand alone, despite being the fifth in this series. The fast paced plot was highly intriguing with just enough detail, drama and violence for the MC elements to be captivating. However, Thorn and Isabel are enthralling throughout, their forced proximity and incendiary intimacy are really hot, yet also emotionally deep too. I really loved how these two open up to one another and that Isabel finally brings some peace to Thorn.
Overall, I’m so glad I gave this author and Thorn’s story a try! These two came together in extraordinary circumstances and then stand the test of danger. Their HEA is full of love and promise.
This book does a good job of representing its genre. There is some depth to the characters, plenty of suspense, and the storyline holds together well.
Thorn! The fun loving Irish giant meets his match when he is placed on babysitting duties for the daughter of an MC President. This was definitely not on his list of things to do but when danger comes, he is ready to protect Isabel with all he has. I tell you, when these men fall, they fall hard!!
Isabel is no shrinking violet either and gives Thorn a run for his money. Love that the women in this series are feisty and sassy!
