This Time Tomorrow BLEW MY MIND…. I couldn’t put it down!!!…… It far exceeded my expectations. I am ready to say I loved it so much more than Reborn Yesterday! Elias was AMAZING and Roks was badass and together they were everything. I loved how we got the backstory and present stories intertwined. Both Elias and Roksanna were completely different than I thought they’d be. Reborn Yesterday barely gave us glimpses of them. Each one of them was complicated and simple and inspiring. Loved them. This was such a great book and I’d read endless books about Elias and Roksanna!
Roksana and Elias are smoking together. Tessa is becoming an addiction to me with her paranormal series. The cover just drew me in and the story itself kept me reading. The characters are both so strong and as much as they shouldn’t be together, they can’t help but be pulled to each other.
4.5 stars!
The second book in the Phenomenal Fate series, this book follows on from Reborn Yesterday, bringing us the story of Elias and Roksana, and wow, what a ride!
While the first book was a rom/com, this one has a completely different feel, a dramatic and angsty second chance, enemies-to-lovers romance that is full of excitement and anticipation, and an amazing, seriously sexy, love story that completely captured my heart.
Elias and Roksana were introduced in the first book – he is a vampire and a friend/roommate of Jonas, Roksana is a vampire slayer who befriended Ginny and her vampire friends. There was always this element of something between the two of them and we knew there was some history there, but we didn’t know what, and now we get to see the whole story in glorious detail.
You see, Elias and Roksana met back when he was a human and she was not a slayer. It was only one night, but they shared an incredible connection that changed their lives forever, and oh, holy chemistry!
“She was like something out of another world, coming toward him in slow motion, hips swaying, eyes on fire. He expected her to stop in front of him, to pass on her phone number, but even after their short acquaintance, he should have known better than predict this girl’s behavior.
Because she simply kept coming closer, closer until he realized she wouldn’t be slowing down. Fuck yes. Come to me, baby. Elias caught her up against his body, plastered her tight to his frame several inches above the ground, breathing against her mouth for a bracing moment, before diving into a kiss that rocked the very foundation of his existence.
Jesus.”
*fans self*
But it all came to a devastating ending and they now find themselves enemies.
Elias claims to have no memory of their night together, but neither of them have forgotten, and their feelings for each other are stronger than ever. But Roksana’s mother, the leader of the slayers in her native Russia, has given her tasks that she must complete – to retrieve a mysterious item and return it to her, and to kill Elias and his friends. Desperate for her mother’s approval, Roksana agrees, but in a delightful twist, Elias tags along to protect the woman he thinks of as his, and this is where the fun truly beings.
I won’t go into details, because you need to experience this book for the wild ride that it is. It’s exciting, angsty and dramatic and you never know what’s going to happen, but for me it was all about the romance, and damn, it’s intense! There is angst, longing and so much passion, and the depth of emotion between Elias and Roksana is just amazing. I could feel it all, and I was desperate to see how it was all going to turn out.
“It’s everything.” Elias fell to his knees in front of Roksana, walking forward and wrapping his huge arms around her middle, pulling her stomach flush to his face. “The pain of not having you as my own is excruciating. Don’t you understand?”
I freaking loved their dynamic, especially seeing how Elias handled Roksana – both her wildness and her vulnerability, and I loved seeing the big, broody vamp show his softer side, but still with a lethal amount of alphaness that will make your ovaries quiver.
“He would surround her in his devotion until she accepted it without question and he’d make her scream with pleasure as many times as it took to convince her. They were each other’s and no one else’s.”
The paranormal storyline is exciting, and we get to catch up with Jonas and Ginny, and with fellow vampire Tucker along for the ride, there are plenty of laugh-out-loud moments. It all builds up to the next book, which will be Tucker’s, and I’m really freeing excited for that.
I loved this book. It kept me captivated from start to finish, I loved the intensity of it all, and the love story is gorgeous!

5/5 STARS
Like I said when I read Reborn Yesterday, I’m not really into paranormal romance, but when Tessa Bailey is behind the story, I’m in!
I truly enjoyed Book 1, but This Time Tomorrow is even better: as beautiful but more poignant, rawer….
And so, so, SO HOTTT!!!!
You will love the love story between Elias and Roksana.
I was already loving them “hating each other” in Reborn Yesterday, but I didn’t expect such a beautiful and heartbreaking love story behind their bickering.
This book is one of my favorite this year, and of course… I can’t wait to read Tucker’s story:
Tessa gave us little hints about him, and let me tell you, it sounds really promising!
The series keeps getting better with each book!!

My hardcore Buffy “scooby gang” member heart was so excited when I saw this description- slayer and vampire, mortal enemies, forbidden romance? All the Angel and Buffy vibes. This is a corner of the paranormal universe that I love and know well- let’s get vamped out.
This story centers on two secondary characters we met in book 1- reluctant slayer Roksana and SWAT team turned-vamp Elias. A chance meeting in Vegas, a light up bra, and some horrible bloodshed forever seal their fates- an aching love-hate tethers their souls. I’ve loved Tessa Bailey for a while, and I was surprised to see her jumping into the paranormal world with this series and curious to see how what I love about TB translates. Tessa’s alpha men in particular keep me THIRSTY for her books- normally a bit moody, dominant and controlling, with dirty mouths and slightly kinky tendencies…YUP, that as a vampire sounded delicious. And, TB heroines are normally the right balance for me of sweet and compassionate with a dollop of sass and subtle fortitude- so definitely curious what a vampire slayer heroine from TB would be like.
The pacing here wasn’t perfect- there were parts where I wasn’t as hooked and others where I could not put the book down. The beginning in particular felt slow, to the point where I was worried this maybe wasn’t for me, and I couldn’t figure out why at first because we had plenty of action, plenty of mystery. The chemistry was there immediately, but I realized I didn’t connect with either character early on, especially the icey side of Roksana. Perhaps this is intentional, perhaps this is a side effect of having two characters who are both shrouded in mystery- characters who are struggling with parts of themselves. Perhaps because it is in flashback. So much is cleverly foreshadowed, but it left me unclear who these people really were, and even though I felt their connection and was excited for their coupling, I felt a lack of intimacy…at first….about 30-40% of the way in, things really kicked into overdrive with their connection, their destiny- and I was SOLD, I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. There are other parts where some side stuff was less interesting- but what is interesting is this couple (okay, and Tucker, haha). I love the mates trope, it sells an insta-love like this for me. And, the passion, the intimate and consuming need these characters have for each other-oh man, when we get to that, when it becomes authentic, this book is great. Everything I love about TB comes out then, especially the sensual tension she creates, the intense and consuming passion she’s known for writing- she’s so great at the build up. The STEAMY STUFF IS HOT.
If you are here for intricate paranormal world building, this maybe isn’t your jam- this is definitely light on that, the bare bones we need because the real focus is on the connection and the romance- they just HAPPEN to be vampire and slayer. Certainly there are paranormal elements that deeply influence the relationship (like blood drinking..ahem…), but in terms of a broader mythology, we don’t get too sucked into the intricacies. Which WORKED for me- I had enough to get it and how it impacted them, but not so much that I felt lost in all the cannon.
Overall, this was a solid read for me. Once I got past the slower parts, I was so invested in these two finding their way to each other, unpacking the secrets and betrayal and complicated history between them, that it made up for the slower parts. Not to mention, the cover is outstanding, and the steam is classic Tessa Bailey caliber. If you are new to her, I probably wouldn’t recommend starting here, but TB fans who are open to a paranormal twist and enjoyed book 1 will enjoy being slayed by Roksana and Elias.
This Time Tomorrow by Tessa Bailey is book Two in the Phenomenal Fate Series. This is the story of Elias and Roksana. I have read and LOVED the previous book, but I did feel this could be a standalone book if you wish to do so. Roksana is a vampire hunter who happens to meet Elias when he was a regular human but he was turned into a vampire that lead to a mystery of her friends being killed. Roksana knew that Elias was special from that first encounter but due to everything happened afterwards she has been instructed to kill him which really is a test given to her to show she is strong enough to continue being a hunter. But Roksana has a soft heart that she tries not to show and can’t seem to do what she is supposed to do…instead she seems to make friends with those that she is to kill. But not all going on is what is seems because we start to learn that strings are being pulled to keep them apart. This does have some dark scenes but nothing to taboo. I so loved the first book that this was just a must read for me. This author is fast become a favorite of mine! I will be hunting down more of her books!
After reading Reborn Yesterday, I kinda knew what to expect from this couple.
Supernatural forbidden love always hits me harder than regular forbidden love. The stakes (HAHA) seem higher. But this really turned it all the way up to 11. Roksanna was one of my favourite side characters from book1 and to see her story play out like this..YES.
And lets not forget Elias. He might be my favourite male lead that Bailey has ever written. Can this woman write longing or WHAT??
An advance copy was provided to my by Social Butterfly PR on behalf of the author. My opinions are my own.

This book is the perfect example for never say never.
I don’t read or like vampires stories but because i love the author’s books I had to dip my fingers in it.
What I’ve got it’s beyond my expectations. I loved it and read it in one sitting.
There’s so much more to this book than I can’t wrap my head around it in full because I need to read chunks of it, again and again, that’s how obsessed I am.
No matter the obstacles, the revenge will, the family drama, there’s only one thing that stands up at all times: the love and attraction between Roksana and Elias never fade over the years.
They have to fight for it and win that happily ever after but it’s so worthy of every second of your time.
Love it and can’t recommend it enough.
If you are new to the series, you are going to love it. If you are obsessed with the newly Silenced and it’s champions, you have already felt the draw, the insane chemistry, and the tangible need between Roksanna and Elias. And now, we get to be fully immersed in their everything! Their history. Their desires. Their constant push and pull. The tension is biteable. Sink your teeth in it and get blood, it’s that thick.
This Time Tomorrow is a hopeless romantic’s wet dream. Romeo and Juliet have never been this divided. Sigh. Swoon. Bites lip. I have a life threatening crush on their phrase This Time Tomorrow and it’s true meaning. Like dying of the emotions and only phenomenal sex and fantastic chocolate is going to slow my death…or a bit of vampire blood. (Personally, I’m all for it but these chicks get awful testy when their “men” are in the presence of “non-threatening, never gonna get lucky but wish they could” women, so death it is for me.)
This Time Tomorrow is epic swooniness. Entertainment in the form of snark, sarcasm, and everyone’s favorite Uber driving vampire. Oh and chocolate chip cookies, who doesn’t want those!?! In the face of her existence going up in flames, Roksanna makes THE decision. Read along and find out what this Russian slayer chooses to do in her moment. Who she chooses?
Also can we talk about Tucker, because I have needs! Lol. Enjoy, share, and for the love of all things holy, to prevent war…tell your human, non-slayer friends it’s just fiction! Or just sit back and watch them become compelled by the words alone.
This story, this was a love story for the ages! A vampire and a slayer, in love, supposed enemies, but undeniably attracted to the other, caring for the other, and maybe, just maybe, in love with the other. But they weren’t angsty about it, no downers, just carrying on as they do, with everything bubbling under the surface. And when that bubbling exploded into a geyser, wow, just wow, these two were hotter than the surface of the sun. Then everything started to happen, and it happened quickly, and I cried, because you finally realized how much they belonged together and loved each other, so, so, so much. Everything they went through, all the things denied, all the moments lost, it culminated into such beautifully painful moments that were sparkling with their feelings.
Now, Tucker is up next, and with lines like this, you know he is going to be a wild one “Hand to God, it was craziest f*@King night of my life,” Tucker said, slapping a palm over his heart. “And I’ve been to WrestleMania three times.”
This is the second book of the Phenomenal Fate. We met Roksana from Reborn Yesterday and I was very intrigued by her. Roksana is the vampire slayer who is supposed to kill Elias (human turns vampire) in Las Vegas. Elias is one of SWAT team members who was on a bromance weekend in Vegas. They met when Roksana strolled in with a light-up bra (way to make an entrance, right?). Something about Roksana captivated Elias deep in his soul and he felt compelled to meet her. Elias abandoned his buddies at the poker table to follow the gorgeous blonde, not knowing that would be his biggest down fall. Roksana failed miserably at her slaying job. All she managed was to steal Elias credit card. When Roksana went back to face her mother in Moscow she vowed to be stronger and would come back to finish the job.
Three years later, Roksana came back to find Elias. The attraction between Elias and Roksana hasn’t faded. The pull they have toward each other is unstoppable. I was fascinated by Roksana since the first book – she is mysterious and a total badass. Roksana was not supposed to fall in love with the man she was supposed to kill. Vampire or not, Elias is the swooniest hero – protective, ready to give up everything for love . Their relationship is a roller coaster ride full of obstacles as Roksana struggles with pleasing her mother and flighting her feelings for Elias. Will see succeed this time or will she fall in love for her pray, and at what cost?
I don’t really read many paranormal genre. This is the second one I read from Tessa Bailey and I love it credit to the interesting plot, the well-developed characters, the complicated relationship, lots of angst, passionate and steamy moments, and all the feels. This book is well written but I did have to get used to the third person speaking. Over all, This Time Tomorrow is sexy, romantic, and a fascinating read. GORGEOUS COVER!!!
4.5 stars
This book is everything and make you have all the feels. It’s all about love in every form. Love that lasts forever even past death and immortality. Elias knew from the first second he saw Roksana that she was what he wanted and needed and she was his. Roksana doesn’t realize that first meeting will set in motion a series of events that will change everything. It puts them on different sides and circling each other. Secrets are meant to protect but will always come out.
I went into this story expecting one thing and was surprised and shook at every turn. The way Elias loves Roksana is beyond and Roksana is so strong and so good deep down even though tries to hide it. I loved this couple so much. I hurt for them, cried for them, laughed and rejoiced with them. Tessa Bailey has created a truly special story that will suck you in and let you go even after you finish the book.
