Roksana, heiress to the vampire slayer throne, has performance anxiety. She’s supposed to kill Elias, but so far she’s only succeeded in maxing out his credit card. Now her failure to stake the brooding vampire has sent her back to Moscow in disgrace to face her mother’s wrath. Expecting punishment by death, she’s given a rare reprieve. She now has three tasks to complete, the last of which is to … which is to finally kill Elias. She will not fail this time.
If only the memories of one magical evening—back when Elias was human—would stop holding her back. He claims to have forgotten that night. Why can’t she?
Three years ago, Elias was a SWAT team member on a guys’ weekend in Vegas. Playing poker and minding his own business, his life changed forever when a captivating blonde strolled past his table in a light-up bra. He followed Roksana as if compelled, his very bones demanding he do so, his soul resonating with the belief she would be important to him. Always. That turned out to be a vast understatement—and nothing has changed.
Roksana embarks on her mission, determined to win back her mother’s approval, but when an astonishing truth emerges in the eleventh hour, will her stake pierce the very heart that beats in her honor? Or will love triumph over duty?

““Dasvidanya, temnota moya.” Goodbye, my darkness.”
While the first book really got to me, this one absolutely killed me. I couldn’t stop reading until I was finished with it, and I can’t believe it’s over. I need more words!
Tessa Bailey is amazing. The stories she writes, the character development, the steaminess…oh yeah, there’s a lot of that here. Tessa never disappoints…and the dressing room scene…damn!
“‘You break me every time you go away. Every time you come back. Your eyes break me. Your breath. Your heart.'”
I already loved Roksana from the first book. I thought she was an amazing, bad ass character, and it was great to know how she became the vampire slayer, and entangled with NYC vampires, no less. There’s a lot more than meets the eye with this one. I love her.
Elias…I have a thing for the broody, protective guys. Can’t be helped. Besides that, he loves with his whole being. And if that’s not enough for you… he has a dirty mouth on him.
So yeah, Elias was pretty much perfect. *swoons*
“Kiss me. Hurt me. Make love to me. Anything.”
This seems like an impossible love story, the vampire and the vampire slayer. But the more you get a glimpse of how they met in the past, of their background stories, and of how they came together one day in Vegas, you get it: these two were meant to be.
There’s a lot of obstacles to handle, including Roksana’s stubbornness and the secrets Elias is keeping, but there’s so much more bringing them together than keeping them apart.
“‘This life might end here. But my love for you will continue on into the next. It’ll still be just as strong this time tomorrow.'”
There was much time wasted between them that it was amazing to see their happily ever after. Regardless of what’s coming their way, they’ll face it together, right on. I don’t think any of them would have it any other way.
Cannot recommend this book enough and can’t wait for the third one!
The first book in this series (Reborn Yesterday) was sweet, romantic and witty, and it’s there that we first meet secondary characters Elias the vampire and Roksana the vampire slayer. Throughout Book One we were teased about this secretive couple with the repel/attract relationship. Elias always kept his face covered and the Russian Roksana was sassy and surly with the motto “I’m going to kill them… tomorrow.” So many emotions swirled around them, from tension and frustration to a magnetic pull, so that you couldn’t help but be intrigued and want to know everything. Well, in This Time Tomorrow we learn it all, and I do mean ALL of it, and it’s complicated to say the least.
Everything about this story is ramped up to eleven. The inner and outer conflicts are more extreme, the deception is more sinister, the consequences more dangerous, and the emotions more intense. I won’t breathe a word of what happens because you need to read it for yourself to experience the connection between these two characters. They are bound together by the universe and their chemistry is off the charts. I found I needed to concentrate more than usual on the backstories and intricacies of the tale to really understand, but it was so worth it. All the antagonists and their factions are interwoven and their loyalties fluctuating. But one thing that never ever waivers is Elias’ devotion to Roksana. He’s probably my favorite book boyfriend ever, and Lordy, can he set the page on fire!!!
Tessa Bailey really brought it with this one and I can’t imagine how her finale to the trilogy could be better, but I trust that it won’t disappoint. I wouldn’t suggest this as a standalone. You’ll miss so much. Sometimes it’s OTT but this is fantasy so just sit back and enjoy the ride.
I know, I know. Vampires, Soul Mates, amazing heroes, Tessa Bailey!? All things I love. If you like any and all of these things, you will probably love this book too. I think it might have been the mood I was in when I read it, I don’t know. I really enjoyed Roksana and Elias from the first book and really needed to know their story. When it jumped around, I got a little confused though. A vampire and a slayer, fated? Who would have thought it? I loved their chemistry but all the pet names and things they called each other over and over again turned me off at points. I will definitely be reading the next book in the series though.
Wow! What an intense and super hot vampire romance. Elias and Roksana’s connection was fevered and fierce. It ran so deep. His unwavering loyalty to her was incredible.
This book took some surprising turns almost from the very beginning. It definitely kept me in my toes. It was an amusing, interesting and very original story. I’ll be jumping right into the third book.
The most beautiful cover I’ve ever seen. Kick ass heroine. Tortured hero. Steamy, tragic tale. Tessa takes the vampire genre by storm!
I always love Tessa Baileys books! They are of course super steamy and the characters make you want to love them all the more. The cover is beautiful and I just really loved the story about how these two characters connected.
Tessa Bailey’s This Time Tomorrow is one of those novels that I will revisit again and again. (And again.)
Roksana has one job: to kill vampires. Vampires who include Elias, the silent, brooding, handsome vampire who she kind of maybe had a connection with back when he was still human. But now he’s a monster with no recollection of their shared past. Or so he’d have her believe. Will she be able to successfully do her job, or will she realize that perhaps things aren’t as black and white as they seem?
I cannot adequately express how much I love reading Tessa Bailey’s novels. She’s always an insta-buy for me, but with her Phenomenal Fates series, she’s completely upped her game. Bailey dishes out her signature wit and humor, and adds a healthy dose of dirty talk. (Because, oh my goodness, she’s the queen of dirty talk.) From the beginning of the novel, you feel a palpable connection between Roksana and Elias, and the flashback chapters are EVERYTHING. Roksana is a wonderfully complicated heroine with quips aplenty. And Elias is one of the best heroes I’ve ever read in romance.
Do yourselves a favor, and read this immediately. I’m getting my Buffy and Angel fix in 2020, and I’m not sad about it.
Vampire slayer and vampire, they shouldn’t work but they do, they really do.
“My love is solid. It doesn’t bend,” he said fervently. “Don’t forget again.”
Roksana has been tasked with killing Elias the man turned vampire who slaughtered her friends. No matter how much she wants to she can never bring herself to go through with it. If only she could forget their magical Vegas connection like he has then maybe she could follow through but she will always see the guy she met before he was silenced.
Elias is keeping a secret from Roksana and it doesn’t matter that if she knew she’d stop hunting him. He’ll do whatever it takes even if it means one upping her own mother. He’ll keep her safe at all costs even if it means the end of him.
Boy it was so fantastic watching these two finally get what they both wanted but denied themselves for so long. They were explosive together. Now I need Tucker and Mary.
If I had to use one word to describe this book, it would be “intense”. But if you read the first book in this series, you probably expected that. Elias is one intense dude and Roksana is a force to be reckoned with. But you will also know that these two also have a soft spot for each other.
But how could a vampire and a vampire slayer have feelings for each other? Thankfully this book gave us the answer to that! I was so intrigued by how these two met and part of me wanted more from that portion of their story. Their meeting, in the grand scheme of things, was short, but it impacted them both in different ways and this is how we find them in their current situation.
I love a cranky main character and with this book, we get two of them! Roksana is a vampire slayer and should want to kill Elias and his friends, but we know from the first book that she is probably not going to do that. And Elias has vowed to take care of Roksana, but how can he when at the heart of everything, he is probably the one that is most at risk.
I enjoyed this book and I am looking forward to the next book in this series. It seems as though Tucker will have his hands full and I am sure that it will be very entertaining.
Oh, vampire romance, how do I love thee . . . Seriously, I loved This Time Tomorrow and all it’s sexy, smart, delicious goodness.
First, I’ll start with the amazingness that is Roksana and her badassness. And her big, lonely, lovable heart. She’s fallen hard for Elias. Has loved him for years and has been “hunting” him too—to kill him. Since that’s her job as a vampire hunter. But she just can’t do it—just can’t end his life. No matter what her mother tells her.
And Elias. Whoa, Elias. Lordy. **fans self** I wouldn’t mind meeting up with tall, dark, sexy and broody. Eh, he’s got a thing for Roksana too. Even if he’s in denial. Or is he?
I loved the relationship between Elias and Roksana. Loved their ridiculous banter. Loved how protective and devoted to each other they were—even when facing some seriously bad odds! And I loved how love triumphed in the end. **swoon**
THIS TIME TOMORROW is the second instalment in Tessa Bailey’s contemporary, adult PHENOMENAL FATE erotic, paranormal romance series. This is former SWAT team member Elias, and Russian, vampire slayer Roksana. THIS TIME TOMORROW can be read as a stand alone with limited difficulty. Any important information is revealed where necessary but I recommend reading the series in order for backstory and cohesion. Elias and Roksana were first introduced in Jonas and Ginny’s book -Reborn Yesterday.
NOTE: If you have not read the previous instalment, there may be some spoilers in my review.
Told from dual third person perspectives (Roksana and Elias) using present day and memories from the past THIS TIME TOMORROW focuses on the enemies to lovers relationship between former SWAT team member Elias, and Russian, vampire slayer Roksana. Three years earlier, Roksana and her friends arrived in Las Vegas to celebrate the impending nuptials between her BFF Ginny Lynn, and vampire Jonas Cantrell but what no one knew was that our heroine Roksana came from a long line of vampire slayers, and Roksana refused to act on her family heritage. Meeting US SWAT team member and human Elias meant the possibility of one-night of freedom but to Roksana’s horror, Elias would turn on her friends, destroying them all. Fast forward to present day wherein, Elias, now a vampire working for King Jonas Cantrell, has been targeted for termination by Inessa, the Queen of Shadows vampire slayer using our heroine as the means to exact her revenge. What ensues is the rebuilding romance and forbidden relationship between Roksana and Elias, and the fall-out as Roksana learns the truth, and refuses to obey her mother’s commands.
Roksana knows she is the bane of her mother’s existence; a failure as a slayer whose heart is too soft when it comes to destroying the bloodsucking undead but to Roksana’s horror, our heroine is the ultimate target of her mother’s hatred, and in doing so destroys everything and everyone Roksana has loved. Three years earlier, Elias and his best friend Tucker, awoke to a new life of darkness, drinking blood and a desire to kill. Believing himself a cold-blooded killer, Elias is willing to offer up his life to protect the woman with whom he would fall in love.
The relationship between Elias and Roksana is fated by blood. What began as a case of infatuation and lust would soon turn into a case of fated mates wherein Elias’ need to claim Roksana supersedes his need to protect himself. Knowing his secrets could destroy the woman he loves, Elias is willing to risk it all including sacrificing himself to protect Roksana from the one person who should be protecting our heroine, herself. The $ex scenes are erotic and intense, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
We are reintroduced to Ginny Lynn and her husband, king of the vampire Jonas Cantrell; Elias’ former SWAT teammate Tucker; Roksana’s mother, Iness, the Queen of Shadows, as well as the introduction of another supernatural power-the Fae-and the potential for Tucker to have found his mate.
THIS TIME TOMORROW is a story of betrayal and revenge, secrets and lies; family, friendships, power and love. The premise is heart breaking and emotional; the romance is seductive and captivating; the characters are colorful, energetic and charismatic.
This book had so much heart I was rooting for Elias and Roxanna from day one. They had the most epic love story that I waned to never end. I loved the back and forth between them, the credit card has me cracking up. There is so muc passion and heat between the two, no wonder Elias has fire powers. I can’t wait to read what’s next, fingers crossed it’s Tucker.
5 MILLION ‘My Mate, My Life’ Stars
BOOM!!! The epicness was of THIS TIME TOMORROW is unparalleled! From one of the best all time heroes to one of the most kickass of female leads, heart thumping emotions, spectacular action scenes, and insanely HOT moments, all wrapping up the most brilliant and unforgettable love story, This Time Tomorrow is the definition of PNR PERFECTION!!!
I’m a huge fan of a good enemies to lovers, and my top fav trope is ‘fated mates’ and when I realized that This Time Tomorrow combined them both to say I was in book even is putting it mildly. I have so very much love so this book, that I fear I’ll extend my raving to new heights, lol, so be prepared for the swooning of swoon in this review.
I was hooked on Roksana and Elias’ story even before I started it, just by their brilliant portrait on Reborn Yesterday, but never for one minute expected this level of instant connection, and recognition of a soulmate, we got here on the very first chapter. Ms. Bailey gives us such an incredible depiction of insta-love that it’s impossible not to believe in love at first sight, because I was right there with them falling. Deeply.
But of course Fate has its own agenda – or should I say evil villains, lol – and in one single night, the very one they met, they are ripped apart, their world turned upside down, obliterated, and put on opposite sides of the board. Now Elias is a vampire, and Roksana is the slayer that promised to kill him.
Gah, the angst, from that devastating night until their ‘reunion’ three years later about killed me. Actually it was so deliciously written that I was soaking up every push and pull between them just to witness first hand their internal struggle not to go to one another. And when things actually imploded and Elias had no chance to hide how very much he adored her, wanted her, worshiped her, OMG, I was almost screaming with how blissfully happy I was. I am so Team Elias!!!
Their love story truly was EPIC, but the level of love, devotion and obsession that Elias had for this woman, really was a thing I will NEVER forget, like a character on itself. Yes, it was that big! Straight up there with my all time favorite best book boyfriends. He was the very definition of what a romance hero should be, and I soaked it all up. Every gesture, every thought, very word, it was a thing of beauty, seriously one major swoonfest all the way. Is it bad I want to frame so many of this man’s lines?! I want to make a Elias shrine just as worth as the metaphorical one he has for his slayer.
Roksana herself was a extraordinary female lead, so strong but yet fragile in her feelings and emotions, kickass but deep down insecure. So loyal, caring and trusting, that it’s no wonder Elias was devoted to her, even when ‘forced’ to stay away. She was branded in his heart from that very first encounter, and he had no wish to let her go.
They really are THE couple for me! I couldn’t have devoured their story any more greedily, enjoying to the fullest to every banter, every fight, every struggle, and specially every loving moment, which considering it’s Ms. Bailey’s work were talking about here, included every sexy moment, that are just as explosive as the intensity of their feelings, that coupled with her brand of deliciously dirty talk, is such to combust even the most frigid of… hearts. LOL
This Time Tomorrow really could not have been a better read, to me utter PNR perfection, from cover – omg, that on itself is worship material right there! – to cover. Elias and Rossana’s love story not only gave me all the feels, but left me swooning for my man Elias, even now, days after I finished. Yep, he’s THAT amazing. The world building and story setting, just proved, once again, the masterful writer Tessa Bailey is, and the complexity of the characters and powerful love story just brought it to the very top of the romance podium.
And just like the first book, we are left with the most enticing of teasers for the next book, which I’m already counting the days for! The deceitfully laid back Tucker, is sure to conquer my heart just as much, and I. AM. HERE. FOR. IT!!!! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
Tessa Bailey is back with her second vampire story! This Time Tomorrow is an angst-filled ride between a vampire slayer, Roksana, and a vampire, Elias. They have a traumatizing history together and an immediate connection. Roksana was sent to kill Elias but something in her causes a delay. Elias, in turn, is devoted to Roksana, so deeply and completely. He is one of Tessa’ gruff heroes and we all know she writes the best ones! This book is intense and angst, far more so than Reborn Yesterday. Roksana and Elias both have to make tough choices and need to learn to trust the bond between them. Like all of Tessa’s books, it’s dirty and sexy and the edge of danger makes it even more so. While I personally liked Reborn Yesterday more, in this book you see the paranormal world being shaped more clearly than the previous. This Time Tomorrow leaves me excited for the next book!
This Time Tomorrow by Tessa Bailey tells the story of Roksana and Elias. Roksana needs to kill Elias, but somehow fails. Expecting punishment for failing at her task, she is instead given a second chance. But she has history with Elias. History of one amazing night she cannot forget. Can she fulfill her job this time? Roksana and Elias have a love/hate relationship and a chemistry neither can deny. She is strong and resilient and he is protective and caring. Their journey is angst-filled, forbidden and absolutely captivating.
Read and reviewed for Sultry Sirens Book Blog.
Happy reading!
Roksana and Elias’s fated second chance had oodles of explosive chemistry, swoony sweetness, and laugh out loud humor! These two broke my heart and repaired it all in the same breath! I am loving this universe Bailey has created soooo much! I am eagerly anticipating Tucker’s book after that crazy moment….
This book has my heart in a vice grip from the start. I know I keep saying the more angst the better, but Tessa was like you’re going to regret your whole life. And I did, I still haven’t recovered entirely.
A vampire slayer heiress who fell in love with the man who doesn’t remember her. Now, she has to kill him in order to fulfil her legacy. Will she pick her duty or her love?
I was so obsessed with the pain, longing and ache that radiated out of the pages of this story. I might have been grossly sobbing but I LIVED for Elias and Roks. Their chemistry was off the charts hot. On top of that they were madly unreasonably in love with each other and I REALLY REALLY REALLY dig that.
I wanted more of Elias’s backstory. More of him and Roks been happy fools in love. And yes I am being incredibly selfish with my love for both of them. I could have read one more book if them just talking to each other. I LOVE THESE LOVESICK FOOLS!!
I seriously cannot wait for the next book because I am going out of my mind just thinking about the possibilities.
Tessa Bailey is probably a sorceress and I am completely under her spell.
After reading Reborn Yesterday, I had so many ideas and expectations for this book. But dang if Tessa didn’t throw me for a loop and take this book in so many different directions that I never would’ve imagined! This Time Tomorrow is very different from Reborn Yesterday, but yet I loved it just as much! And Tessa amped up the paranormal world in this one. There is so much more discovered in this book and it got me excited for what’s next!
Roksana and Elias are one interesting pair. Elias is broody, mysterious, and so protective of Roksana even though he doesn’t quite understand why. Roksana is so fierce, but deep down she has one of the biggest hearts. She was born to be a slayer, but that wasn’t the path she was meant for and she chooses her path in this book. Also, she and Elias have so much chemistry and pent up frustration that when they finally act on it the whole place lights on fire! They are so hot together y’all! They discover so much about each other in this book and I couldn’t stop reading!
I love this series so much! The characters are all unique and developed. Each so different from the last. And the two I think will be in the next book are definitely going to create an awesome read! I love this little paranormal world Tessa has created and I hope she continues to step into different worlds with her writing because it has really created for some amazing books! So ready for the next book in this series!
The covers for this series are just so incredibly beautiful, you can’t not want to read.
This is Roksana and Elias story, finally. I loved Roks in book 1, she’s just so much her own person, or at least that’s how it appears.
Elias is an incredibly dirty talking vampire with his own agenda when it comes to a certain slayer.
But here we get more information about them both, and I’m even more in love than I was before.
I can’t wait to read the next, and see how each of these couples acclimate to their forever.
With the perfect plot twist, this fated mates story quickly turns into one where opposites attract – and when those opposites are a vampire slayer and a vampire, the universe surely does have a twisted sense of humor!
I was looking forwarded to Roksana’s story since getting to know her in book one of this series – and boy was I surprised at how things really are not what they seem. There is history between Elias and Roksana that drives these two together, but it is also that history, or version of that history, that keeps them apart. It was a bit frustrating that Elias kept some pretty important information to himself – typical male – but I loved how his main concern was, and always would be, keeping Roksana safe, both physically and emotionally.
Once the background was set, I was totally wrapped up in the story. Learning who Roksana and Elias were and how they came to be the vampire slayer and vampire they were filled in so many blanks from the first book. This book felt a bit darker than the first and really focused on Elias’s devotion to Roksana and her inability to fulfill her mother’s demands. And let me just state how much I hated her mother! I loved the introduction of new characters, like the fae, and having other characters from the first book make appearances and help shape Elias and Roksana’s story. Tucker is such a hoot and I can’t wait to find out what is in store next for him!
Another great read from Tessa Bailey. I love how she has crafted this paranormal world but kept her trademarked dirty talking heroes and snarky and strong heroines and adapted them to this new genre. Add this one to your TBR – and although this can be read as a stand-alone, I would recommend starting with Reborn Yesterday to get a better picture of who these two characters are – you’ll thank me for that once you do!
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy.
