USA Today Best Selling Author, Willow Winters, brings you an all-consuming, sizzling romance featuring an epic, anti-hero you won’t soon forget. Some love stories are a slow burn. Others are quick to ignite, scorching and branding your very soul before you’ve taken that first breath. You’re never given a chance to run from it. That’s how I’d describe what happened to us.Everything around me … us.
Everything around me blurred and all that existed were his lips, his touch…
The chase and the heat between us became addictive.
Our nights together were a distraction; one we craved to the point of letting the world crumble around us.
We should have paid attention; we should have known that it would come to this.
We both knew it couldn’t last, but that didn’t change what we desired most.

This Love Hurts by W. Winters is a passionate and action packed romance with a delectable antihero and the sassiest heroine! This story will suck you in from the beginning and keep you hypnotized with the tricky storyline till the end.
Delilah can be the badass lawyer. She can be ruthless and smart and killer in courtroom. But when someone starts stalking her and sends her life into a tailspin, she has no one to run to except FBI Agent Cody Walsh. But is Cody hiding something sinister? Just how far will Marcus go to love and hurt Delilah?
This story kept me on the edges all the time. The author didn’t let me sit comfortably at all. The suspense and thrill was on point. And so was the complex chemistry and dynamics between the characters. It’s hard to label Marcus. I know I should call him dangerous, deranged and downright scary. But I am oddly enticed by his dark aura. He has some twisted feelings for Delilah for sure. Same goes for Cody. I just love how he protects Delilah and has this alpha edge. But he definitely has secrets and those can be pretty much destructive. And I cannot decide who is the hero and who is the villain. I completely feel for Delilah. She is scared, confused, cornered and torn. This amazing woman is fighting an uphill battle. I cannot wait to see how the story proceeds in next book.
This Love Hurts by Willow Winters is a fascinating and twisted tale of action and romance. It left me craving more, more and more!

it was amazing
I know we all want to know who Marcus is, but this story is more than finding out who the man in the shadows is. If you have read the other books in this world, you have all heard of the man in the shadows. However, you do not need to read them to understand this story. It can completely stand on its own. Willow has had me interested in Marcus’s story since the beginning, and I am so glad to have finally read it. She weaves a tale of two men and the one woman they want. Willow grabs your attention with the way she writes. She knows how to hook the reader and keep them hooked. She will leave you always wanting more. There is drama, secrets, quite a bit of suspense, some oh my moments and twists and turns. You will have a different type of feels with this story. Your heart will be pounding reading what unfolds on the pages. I was stuck on the edge of my seat waiting to see what would happen next.
“I’m not the one who changed things. What happens next is his fault, his doing. Not mine.”
“To love is never wrong.”
This Love Hurts was great and the story I’ve been waiting for. Marcus is that intriguing character whose been so mysterious. Cody, Delilah and Marcus are all intertwined and I can’t wait to see how it unfolds in the next book. This story will keep you so involved you won’t want to put it down. Its packed with drama, mystery and suspense.
So I knew from the start of Merciless that Marcus would be Willow’s most intriguing character to date and also the darkest character. I have been left trying to guess who he is, why he does what he does. In this book just when I thought I’d find out at least one of the answers I was left grasping for more. The angst I felt on behalf of both Marcus and Delilah was off the charts. I’m still not over this book and I can’t get the next book quick enough. Marcus has stolen a piece of my soul and I don’t want it back. In fact I will gladly give more. Which I am sure will happen in book 2.
In Do You Want Me we meet Marcus, Cody and Delilah.
In This Love Hurts, Marcus is back with his sleuth stalking skills. When you have two men Marcus and Cody and one lady Delilah. You are bound to see fireworks exploded. As we see in This Love Hurts.
I have one word for you; WOW. This is the first of Willow Winters’ books I’ve read and I will definitely be going back for more!
The drama, the suspense, the simmering heat of a kiss. This story has everything to keep you wanting more. I’m intrigued to find out the back story of this Marcus and where his obsession with Delilah stems from. There’s something so deliciously wrong about the emotions he stirs in her, and it makes me wonder if there’s a history there somehow. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next instalment so I can see where this all goes.
After reading the books in the Merciless world you already know some thing about the mystery that is Marcus. He‘s a shadow in a world full of darkness. He somehow manages to peek your interest especially after the Seth and Laura‘s books where we also meet Delilah and Officer Cody Walsh.
Naturally my interest was high after that. This love hurts takes us back a few years to the beginning of this gripping mystery that is Marcus, Delilah and Cody. We get to see all those characters in their element. Halfway through the book we also get to see the chemistry between Marchs and Delilah which is sizzling!
I can‘t wait to read more of those three and find out who Marcus really is.

Who the eff is MARCUS? Willow Winters needs to give me more… the suspense is killing me! This Love Hurts by Willow Winters is an EPIC read and will join the ranks of the BIBLIO-ARISTOCRACY!!!
One of the things I most like about reading these stories is that revealing the mystery and finding out the reasons behind the actions are done at the same time as the heroine discovers them. Makes the reader feel like they are as much as part of the story as they can be. Marcus has many secrets and shadows. What is his end game? Delilah knows she has someone behind her, following her footsteps. What is the reason behind this ghost? Who can she turn to? And what does Marcus really want from her?
I don’t know what to say. I am speechless. My brain is working over time, trying to figure this out. Who is Marcus? That’s the question. I’m guessing, but not sure and won’t be sure until the next book. Willow grabs you from the beginning and has you on the edge of your seat through the entire book. There is suspense and betrayal. Cody knows things. Now Delilah has secrets. And Marcus; well, he knows it all. Your heart will be pounding at times, that I wasn’t sure if I could calm down. Again, I am really at a loss for words. Just that this is an amazing book, that must be read. The Prequel is Do You Want Me? I’d read that too! That definitely has you hanging with so many questions.
“I’ll be her hero this time. The hero gets the kiss.”
Wow what a wild ride this one took me on.
We get to learn more about walsh, hes always intrigued me but MARCUS!!
I need to know more about him, hes an enigma wrapped in lies and corruption but damn I need to know more about him.
Cant wait for more
OMG! Willow Winters has slayed me. This Love Hurts is Willow Winters at her best. The intrigue, mystery and sexiness is almost too much too handle. Bring on more Marcus. I am ready!
Super suspenseful this mystery novel gives a love triangle like no other. A love that is dangerously close to Delilah, to close For Cody’s liking, just the way Marcus wants it. The cliff hanger was a little frustrating but over all this book was addicting. The lawyer, the agent and the murderer, all three connected by a case that goes cold. Marcus is puppeteer of the controlling both Delilah and Cody, positioning them exactly where he wants them. Creating secrets and deception, you won’t be able to put this sexy thriller down.
Willow Winters out did herself with Marcus!
The mystery..suspense..and intensity of this book is off the charts!
This Love Hurts by Willow Winters. There is a Prequel called ‘Do You Want Me’ that sets the ground work with the starting story line. Delilah is a lawyer who is used to working with questionable people. But know it seem she has a stalker who hides in the background. Delilah’s friendship with Cody who is a FBI agent takes a step forward in their relationship. But Cody is crossing a line that he had said he wouldn’t..so he not to innocent in somethings. Marcus is in the shadows of this book but having a connection with Cody and Delilah not really getting his POV yet. Which leaves us in a mystery of wanting to know more about him and what he is doing. This book is such a page turning wanting to know what will happen next! But our cast of characters have more to come which will be in the next book called :But I Need You in Oct 2020. I am a fan of this author and recommend her book very much. Can’t wait for the next one!
Another marvelous read by the amazing Willow Winters. Truly another interesting from the author. “This Love Hurts” is about, without giving anything away, Delilah whose a lawyer and Cody an officer on the good side of the law, then there’s Marcus a criminal who is mysteriously interesting. The character dynamics in this novel are spectacular. I loved the differences between Cody and Marcus, I thought they were intriguing in their own right. The plot was masterfully written, something I always get with Winters’ novels and This Love Hurts certainly didn’t disappoint. But wait for more this is just the beginning.
ღ an epic tale of both betrayal and all-consuming love,
In this Edition we’re going to find both the The prequel to (Do You Want Me), and part 2 (This Love Hurts)
Honestly, I didn’t want to say Wow!!! There’s just so much information to process in this Lil amazing book. so many pieces of the puzzle are starting to fall into place now…..
I started reading this book somewhat slow, I try to remember everything I could about Marcus. Then when I hit the part 2 section, Oh my gosh!! I inhaled this one, this captured me from the first page, it felt like one of those books where you stay up all night reading, even though you know you have to be a functioning adult the next day.I finish this book late last night , but I had to collect my thought before I wrote my review
For Anyone who has reads W Winters books knows that there has been Whispers In The night & in Dark Corners you’ll find him…. some call him the boogeyman others call him ghost, the grim reaper… the angel of death…other say the monster under your bed. They called him a lot of things but they only ever whispered his name in a single hiss.
Whatever you want to call Marcus, just remember Marcus knows all your secrets and more importantly he knows where you are hiding
Happy Reading — Enjoy ……. Paulette Review
Ugh!! I didn’t realize I was blazing through this book until it was too late and now my head is spinning!! It’s completely in a good way, now to wait for the next piece of this epic series! If you’ve not read the Merciless World I highly recommend it. This Love Hurts is the next piece of the story for Delilah, Cody, and Marcus, we get a better understanding of what Marcus thinks in his actions towards them. He wants them to work together in a way but by his rules and nobody breaks his rules if you do the results could have deadly consequences. Marcus also wants much more than just to help each other out on occasion he has his eyes set on Delilah only one problem so does Cody. Only one will be the victor or maybe neither that’s yet to be seen. Absolutely can’t get enough of this series these characters draw you into their world and you flip the pages faster and faster wanting to know what will happen and then poof it’s over but the author knows how to draw us in and we crave every single word!! Looking forward to the next part of the story!!
The time has come for Marcus’ series!
In This Love Hurts we are given the introduction to a story that takes place in the past between Marcus, Delilah and Agent Cody Walsh. I’ve fallen deep into this remarkable world that Willow has created. Each book has a common frenemy present…Marcus. Getting to know this mystifying phenomenon and his history is making me anxious because there is so much that we don’t know about this man. The common question I think everyone is thinking- what is his motive?
The romantic suspense in This Love Hurts is so alluring, it’ll keep you drawn to the story and what’s to come in the next installment. The anticipation for the next book is going to kill me!
Ahh!! Loved this book! So many twists and turns! We learn a little more about the trio of Delilah, Cody and Marcus, but not enough. Willow always loves to leave us hanging for more and you’ll definitely want more by the end of this book. So much suspense and even more questions than before! Who is Marcus? What does Cody know that she doesn’t? Why the feelings toward Marcus all of a sudden? I need to know! Definitely a must read.
