If Gabe is a twisted psycho… I don’t know what to make Hannah.
She is beyond crazy! And only Gabe can have all her dark and twisted way. Because he loves her. Because even a villain need someone else to love them.
This book… Scratch that. This series is one big dark psychology all year!
Dark and twisted that makes me wondering… Is it Nature or Nurture that lead me to love K Webster books with so many feelings
“I’m a bad man who does very bad things.”
It’s going to be really difficult to review this book because everthing will be a spoiler. I pretty much went in blind, I didn’t even read the blurb. I have been intrigued by Gabe from the start. I have thing for the bad guys, the villains that hurt the good guys. Gabe is definitely one of the really bad ones. He is just wired differently than us.
“Sometimes we have to hurt the one we love in order to keep them.”
By going in blind I didn’t know what to expect, however K. Webster is known to throw in a crazy plot twist or mindfuck every other chapter. So I was prepared, but like with the previous books I wasn’t prepared enough. I did not think that this book would take the direction it did. It did not een cross my mind at all. I am good at predicting things and coming up with crazy theories but Ihad to throw them all out of the window. I want to congratulate the author with AGAIN coming up with a very original storyline. I can always depend on her to come up with strong and intriguing characters that I end up loving even if they are batshit crazy. She feeds my dark and twisted soul that hungers for dark romances.
“This isn’t over, baby, It’s only just begun.”
If you are going to give this book a try, you should definitely be openminded. There will be things happening in this book that can make you uncomfortable. However the main characters were perfect for each other. I am so happy the author decided to write Gabe’s book, because he is one of my favorite dark and twisted villain. This book was dark, erotic, sexy, twisted, messed up but I just couldn’t put it down! Also at the end we get a sneak peek into the next book in this series and I am PUMPED UP! Can’t wait for that book to release and I can’t wait to see what she will come up with next.
PS: Sorry for the super vague review!
Sweet Hades! Oh my god…what a book. I’m seriously left speechless. All thoughts have completely left me after this book. I couldn’t consume this book fast enough. There’s so many moments that you know you shouldn’t like what’s happening but you do…it makes you question yourself and that’s where the Author has turned this series into a whole new ballgame.
I’m tapping out! D. N. F. (note I didn’t read the whole book but about 75% then dnf)
****Spoilers*****
OMG I can’t take any more. This book is boring me and annoying me in equal measure. So many things just aren’t working for me.
#1 Gabe is like in his late 50s/early 60s. He is old…..old! I mean come on OLD! But he was written like he was still in his 20s.
#2 What is wrong with Hannah. She is one of the most unlikable heroines I have ever read Evar! I not only am not connecting to her I am finding myself hating her.
I just don’t get how the author is trying to blame her crazy on her sweet and lovable father War. War’s issues came after that what happened with his mom so how did he pass it on when it’s trauma based and not hereditary. She didn’t get it from her mommy or her daddy she is just crazy period!
#3 Unbelievable over the top crazy! The incest like relationship (they aren’t related although Gabe thought for a while that she was his daughter) was just so over the top. Heck most of the book that I read before I couldn’t take anymore was way too over the top crazy. I mean everyone is a rapist in this series or everyone one is getting raped.
#4 why is Gabe still alive for God’s Sake why won’t that man die already???? He was shot, stabbed, beat, had a huge fall, etc yet he just keeps breathing.
The over all truth is I’m just not connecting. I’m sitting here bored rolling my eyes, skimming and wishing it was over….. Then I thought I don’t have to do this to myself anymore. So For the second time ever I am DNFing a book. Maybe someday I’ll come back to it just to see what happens. Not that I think I will magically love it but maybe just to see how it ends. Just not now when it’s annoying me.
I am speechless…
This was…unimaginable. It was unexpected. But it was brilliant…
This is Book 3 in K. Webster’s War and Peace series….and boy, it is twisted… beyond anything you’d ever have thought.
If you’ve read books 1 and 2, I’m sure you’ve hated Gabe, you’ve felt fear of him and angry at him. Yet, in this story, he’s the hero.
WHAT??
Yep! Hero! He’s actually pretty normal compared to……..
You know how they always say there are two sides to every story? Well, this book reiterates that so much. There ARE two sides, we just prefer not to see from the other if we’re already comfortable viewing from one side. But boy, does this story make you think….ponder….wonder….and imagine.
Bonnie and Clyde to a T. Where Bonnie is the more unpredictable one. They say women are more dangerous, well, this book proved it.
Before reading this, I always imagined how in the world Gabe could possibly be redeemed? How could he possibly be explained? Be understood? And empathized with? How??
But I did. I felt for him, because of what his father was and what his father taught him. I felt bad for him and I understood that those circumstances, it shaped him. I hated him from the beginning, I never understood him, until I saw that’s really all he knows.
Hannah on the other hand, she’s even more twisted. She’s different, and her family has always known this. Though they all try to pretend and act normal around it, they knew, specially her father, knew what she held inside. They just didn’t know how to nurture it.
When these two absolutely twisted people meet for the first time, their connection is instantaneous. It was inevitable. He’s loved her from afar since the day she was born, and she’s been connected to him from the time she met him.
There was never any other couple better suited to each other than these two. Their darkness fed off each other. They enabled each other.
“I stare into his dark, vicious eyes and I see me. I see my own monster staring back at me. Oh, what a beautiful monster she is too.”
I didn’t think I’d ever meet a more messed up person than Gabe but boy, was I wrong. Extremely wrong. I actually felt bad for Gabe in this story. I see the sacrifices he has had to make to keep the people that he cares about safe.
What he did from the very beginning was not good, but his surroundings practically ensured that’s who he’d become.
Hannah was the perfect half of him. She is as twisted (maybe even more), as depraved (still maybe more ) than him but she knows it. She embraces it and it what’s making her feel insecure.
Mental illness is prevalent in this story and it was easy to sympathize with how it was written. I was scared, I was hurt, I was shocked and I was anxious as I read through every page.
All the crazy, and the pain, they all combined to make one heck of a family. Because they are a family now, in a way, they’ve always been.
K. Webster will take you places with this one. She will rip you from your comfort zone and make you face things you’ve never even thought of, but you will love her for it.
Because all this? It came from her mind. Though you will feel as if you were weathering the storm right with them.
This is a dark novel. Treat it as such. That way you get to experience it the way it was intended.
I loved it!
Wow!! Just wow!! You will not believe this book I promise you!! Because I don’t post spoilers I’m not going to specific, but I will say if you read the first two books (and if you didn’t you MUST go read them now!!) you will be floored when you read this book. I was horrified and shocked, and then horrified I was so turned on!! This is dark and crazy and messed up royally!! If you thought Gabe was deprived you haven’t seen anything yet!! Just buy this book, you will be on the edge of your seat with your jaw on the floor thinking,”What the….?!” I will be counting the days until the next book!!!
Well that was a helluva thing….
K Webster’s new slogan should be twisted as f@ck fairytales.
There were times I questioned my own mental health and sexual appetite.
You will beg and plead with characters in this book. You will probably offer to make deals. You will not get your wishes. You will stew in doubt and uncertainty. I guarantee you will uncomfortable and twitchy but I also promise it’s one Hell of a twisted turn. You may see some of it coming. But you will never see it all.
I guessed, I pleaded, and I lost. But unlike everyone else, I will find out very soon what happens next because I don’t believe him when he says…
This isn’t you baby!
I absolutely love the tie ins and meanings behind the titles of these twisted tales. I am almost sad that I’m halfway there. But I won’t be happy until I know everything so…
Here I come.
Reviewed for Sweet Spot Sisterhood
I never would have thought Hannah would be so well her. She is off the charts, and just I’m speechless. She is an unexpected delight, in so many ways.
Gabe is obviously insane, but he pulls it all off well. His love for Han and his daughter are unwavering and so unexpected.
War and Ren are something else, but Ren I think could be just as crazy ad his sister. I just gotta know how Baylee made these psycho kids!!!???
Han and Gabe are just so amazing together, even though they shouldn’t be. I love everything about these two. Apart, they really are psychopaths, together they are epicly amazing.
Some nightmares simply won’t die. Some nightmares will haunt you until your last breath.
And that is Gabriel Sharpe. The mother Pucker who refuses to die !
I am flabbergasted ! At Gabe , at Kristi , At Hannah, At myself for loving this pucked up , emotional roller coaster. ….no delete that……the emotional death drop of a ride ! It raced ahead at Nascar speed, the left turn, then left turn, then left turn, until nothing left !!
Gabe and Hannah- you can’t even imagine them together, yet they are !*gasp* . It’s like two atoms coming together and the explosion is bigger than if you split the atom. It obliterates Baylee’s and Warren’s perfect world. But War understands the need of his sick AF daughter. He realises she’s at home with Gabe’s monster. They both feed of each other, sate each others’ bloody lust and protect each other , it’s not healthy, it’s like a weed growing in darkness, you can’t see it, but it’s thorns are getting bigger and sharper and pretty soon it overruns the pristine garden !
Gabe, my furious and raging storm, brings me calm. He pulls the real Hannah from the darkness to wrap his arms around her so she won’t be lonely. Together, we fulfill a need nobody else ever can.
She’s no shrinking violet .
in fact,
It’s like Goldilocks is the motherfucking dragon. A fire-breathing, full on psycho, unpredictable beast.
Together they are perfect Match Made In Heaven. Despite all precautions she chases him and nooses his neck and squeezes his balls . *smh* *wtf did I just read*
“I’m just a sick bastard who takes what he wants even when it’s the wrong thing to take. I’ll go to hell one day for all of this.” Her brows furl together. “I’ll go with you.”
Yet it’s like they are scarred pieces of a twisted puzzle. Better they destroy each other than other people. She clings to him . Slaughters the competition . Obliterates anybody who goes against her.
and that’s her Good mood!
Her manic depressive self anchors to Gabe’s hedonistic beast and they leave a trail of bodies while they run and hide.
Some scenes in the book WILL make you cringe. You’ll probably end up with ” Vegetable Allergy “. The characters will slay you, but the magic is , you’ll want to be in this maelstrom of hyper energetic story. I read it in one day . UN.PUT.DOWN.ABLE !
ummmmm.and please read on an empty stomach !!!
Gabe and his cucumbers are back!!!! Ha ha
WOW WOW!!!!!!
K Webster has really blown me away with this one, it is one hell of a ride!
If you haven’t read the first 2 books in this series stop now and go pick them up to read you will need them to Understand Gabe a bit more.
Now I am all for a bad boy, but I have never taken to Gabe at all, but in this book I have to say I think I like him a bit more, I think I understand him more as we get an insight to his past and why he is so messed up and crazy.
I don’t want to give anything away you just have to read this book.
I will say some parts might even shock you, it is Twisted, Dark in places.
I think if I am being Honest this might just be my favourite book out of the 3 and I loved the others, this one just took me to a whole new level of crazy.
This is a love Story as much as it is messed up.
Go in with an open mind. Remember everyone deserves love even Villain’s.
After finishing my mind is all over the place I shouldn’t like this book as much as I did but hell.
Loved all the Characters.
K Webster gave us what we wanted where you love it or hate it you will have mixed feelings about it Just buckle up and enjoy the ride.
As I said “This isn’t over” is a crazy ride and to be honest I think Gabe has met his match.
This isn’t OVER, baby.
This will never be OVER.
Phenomenal and unforgettable read.
