From the best selling series, Something So comes the spin-off Series This is…ZoeWhen you grow up surrounded by hockey players you know one thing for sure, I was never going to settle down with one.Heck, I didn’t even know what icing was. I was too busy climbing the corporate ladder, becoming one of the most successful realtors in New York City.I wasn’t interested in dating or anything that got … dating or anything that got in my way.
First, he was my client and then he became my friend.
Viktor
My parents told me I skated before I walked.
When I was eighteen I was drafted into the N.H.L third overall, playing in Los Angeles—the city of dreams.
What more could I ask for? I played hard, but eventually, I partied even harder.
Five years later I was traded a week after I entered rehab.
There was no time for anything except my health and making sure I’d come out on top. I had to be better.
There wasn’t another option.
One of the rules of recovery was ‘don’t fall in love’ and I made it a top priority. She was off limits in every single way.
Until it was too late
One night, one decision, one act can derail everything.
When push comes to shove, I’m only certain that, This is Wild.

Ever just want to grab a book and hug the ever living lights out of them?! This story, the characters… I have infinite love for all of it. Natasha Madison knows how to write a hockey romance. I know many of us are used to the normal playboy storyline, but that’s not what you get here..
We have Viktor, a drug addict that has a second chance with not just his career, but also his life. The journey he goes on is a commendable one and the whole time you’ll be rooting for him. His goal was to focus on his sobriety and hockey, that’s it. He never expected to have thus crazy attraction towards his real estate agent, Zoe.
With Zoe’s strict no dating hockey players policy, the best she can offer is friendship. Plus with Viktor’s path towards sobriety, she knows he needs to focus on himself. He’s a man that what’s to do everything by the book to get through his first year of sobriety. Even turn down a shot at love.
The dance that these two do around each other will literally make you ache. You’ll understand all the reasons why and respect it. But you’ll want nothing more than for these two to have their HEA.
I can’t recommend a book fast enough than this one. You won’t regret it, well if you do, I’ll take responsibility for all of that. I appreciated everything about this book, these two were just so genuine and real to me. And there’s many moments you could easily relate to. So yeah, pick up this one!
It’s a standalone in the This Is series, which is also a spin-off to the Something So series.

Natasha Madison
This series gets better and better with each book.
Viktor was a complicated character but was a pleasure to watch him come into his own. Zoe and Viktor start out as friends, but it is so much more. This book shows you the power of love and finding redemption even when you think you don’t deserve it.
Oh my what a book. Viktor will suck you in and he will break your heart. This strong sexy man has some serious demons and is fighting for all he’s worth. Zoe is a wonderful supportive friend to Viktor but along the way she talks in love. Poor Viktor can’t exactly give her what she needs while he’s battling staying sober. These two characters will break your heart yet have you rooting for their love story. Natasha Madison does a great job bringing the reader into the story of Viktor and his battle with addiction. Right from the beginning you will have incredible feels about Viktor and his journey to sobriety. Zoe is hysterically funny, sweet, caring and the perfect match for Viktor. This book has love, laughter, crying, pain, heartbreak, but you will be put back together again. I absolutely loved every feeling I had while reading this and I’m excited to see what happens next with my favorite hockey characters.
When I first started reading this book I thought I wasn’t going to like it but like always this author just sucks you back into the book I really loved this book so much I can not wait tell the next book
“I received a free copy with no obligation to review”
Words cannot say how much I liked This Is Wild! I have recently been struggling to finish books, but then came Viktor and Zoe. The main theme in the book is addiction. Obviously this is a sensitive topic, but Madison handles it in such an honest and respectful way. I can honestly say that Viktor’s character showed such vulnerability and strength that he completely won me over. I wanted to just wrap him in a hug and take care of him. Now needless to say we get a full helping of all of the past family members because when one Stone/Grant is involved, they all bring their craziness. I love seeing this family grow. One of the characters who has really grown on me is Zoe. She isn’t really the typical female lead that I like to read. She comes off as materialistic and emotionally unavailable in previous books. But I was so wrong! Zoe is so much more complex than that and she really does have such a generous and sweet heart. Again, if you are in a book funk or just looking for a book to suck you in; then This Is Wild is for you!
All. The. Stars!!!
Oh my god you guys!!! This Is Wild by Natasha Madison BLEW ME AWAY!!!! It is the second book in the This Is series, and it can be read as a stand-alone. I really cannot find the words to express all that I am feeling right now so bare with me as this review is going to be all over the place.Tears are rolling down my face as I type this. My heart is so full and my emotions are raw. Hands down one of my top recommendations of 2019.
Zoe and Viktor were EVERYTHING. I really didn’t expect to love them the way I did. I wasn’t expecting the deep connection I felt for both of them. I’m not going to say much about what happens but I will say Viktor was one of the strongest male characters I’ve ever read. And Zoe…she was so loving and giving and accepting. Their connection was beautiful. There were many ups and downs throughout, but overall it is really one story you do not want to miss!
This slow burn romance just about did me in. It takes you on an incredible journey of overcoming obstacles and finding your happiness. I was so wrapped up in this world I could not put it down. Ms. Madison’s writing is absolute perfection and I honestly can’t recommend this book enough!
I have to say this was a real cracking read and one I struggled to put down when real life came calling. I adore slow build relationships and this book was just right. Viktor was a recovering addict and Zoe was an absolute spit fire but at the same time really crying out for someone to love, even, if she didn’t known it. It was for this reason that the build up between them was just perfect and their chemistry and relationship just built from the foundation of friendship.
This is Wild was packed full of emotion and feels, it had just the right amount of drama and angst and there was plenty of humor running throughout too.
4.5 stars
This is so much more than just a sports romance, it’s an emotional journey of not allowing the past to define the present.
Straight out of rehab Viktor joins the New York Stingers coached by none other than Matthew Grant. Working through his addiction after having just moved to a new city and a new team, he’s a broken man trying to piece himself back together.
When Matthew’s sister, Zoe, becomes Viktor’s realtor, things get interesting, to say the least. She’s a strong beautiful woman, but off limits, for so many reasons. They become friends, just friends, or so they keep saying. He’s not looking for a girlfriend and she doesn’t date hockey players, so their “friendship” shouldn’t be a problem…famous last words!
This story is a powerful, angsty, slow burn that beautifully portrays the struggle of overcoming addiction, finding the support system that become family, and discovering that love happens when it needs to.
4.5 wild Stars
Its no secret I have become a huge fan of Natasha Madison and I think this has become one of my favourites.
Viktor is one of my favourite male characters, and I have loved the others, he is so beautifully damaged and broken. He had hit rock bottom with a drug addiction but is fighting to reclaim his life and with his 90-day-chip he is moving to New York to join a new Ice Hockey team. The team that have seen something in him and are offering his a second chance which he grabs with both hands.
Being part of the team in New York Viktor ends up embroiled in the chaos of the Stone family and when he meets Zoe Stone his heart practically stops and then begins to beat again.
I absolutely loved the relationship and connection between Viktor and Zoe. Their relationship forms so quickly and easily, its almost as easy as breathing but they fight them anyway. He is in recovery for his addiction and needs to prove himself worthy of her love.
Add in the entertaining and hilarious banter and interactions with the rest of the Stone family and you are left highly amused and completely gripped.
Well done Natasha with another great read
How do I put into words just how much I loved this book? I mean sure it’s easy to say that you loved a book but I mean I LOVED it. Viktor and Zoe’s is not your typical romance story IMO. Viktor is an addict who is on his last chance, he blows it and that’s it for his hockey career. He’s a broken man, in for the fight of his life. He has found the support he needs in his new team the New York Stingers and real estate agent turned friend Zoe Stone. I loved their friendship, the way they bantered back and forth, they way they were there for each other, even if it didn’t seem like it at one point. This author nailed it when she wrote about the hard fight to beat addiction and she broke me!! I was a teary eyed mess during so many points of this book but she put all pieces back together with her perfectly executed HEA! I can’t recommend this book enough.
This is Wild is the second highly anticipated book in the This Is series by Natasha Madison. It’s a beautiful and very touching friends-to-lovers story about a successful real estate agent – Zoe Stone – and a talented hockey player and recently recovered drug addict – Viktor Petrov. This book is about failures, struggles and second chances. It shows that everyone who wants to work on themselves in order to improve and get better deserves our understanding and support. Former addicts are often stigmatized for life by society which doesn’t make their recovery easy. They need to prove to themselves and everyone else that they’ve changed and are trustworthy.
Zoe grew up surrounded by hockey players and with a father who is a legend in this sport. That’s why she decided to never settle down with one. She and her twin Zara were never interested in hockey and pursued careers outside of the sport. When she is asked by her brother Matthew to help the latest addition to his team to find his new home in New York she agrees to take him on as a client. Viktor is gorgeous and immediately catches her eye but Zoe is not interested in dating. After finding out what he went through and how he is still struggling she selflessly and generously offers him her friendship and support. Little did she know that his strength and courage will make her fall hopelessly in love with him.
Viktor was very young when he was drafted into the NHL. A dream come true since he was a kid. He played hard but he partied even harder until his drug use led to his ultimate downfall and got him traded one week after he entered rehab. Now he is given a second chance with a new team and in a new city. Viktor is determined to do the best out of it and to concentrate on his recovery. These are his top priorities. There is no place for any distractions even if they come in the form of a beautiful, sexy and kind-hearted realtor. She is also his new boss’ little sister and therefore off limits. What starts as friendship alone will soon become so much more. A wrong move could cost Viktor everything he has been working hard for. But Zoe Stone is a woman worth the risk.
I adore the hero and heroine of this story with all my heart. Zoe is one of the most selfless and loving characters ever. She would do anything for the people she cares about. The endless support and encouragement she gave to Viktor made my eyes fill up with tears. He was an incredible man. It takes a lot to pick yourself up from the bottom and start anew. Viktor accepted the fact that he was a former addict but he didn’t let it define him. I loved the sweet slow burn between him and Zoe and that Natasha Madison first made them sort out all the issues between them before they got intimate with each other. They’re hands down one of my favorite couples she has ever written.
This book was a delight from start till the end. It had an entertaining plot, charming characters and despite the heavy topic of addiction lots of swoon-worthy and funny moments. This talented author knows how to pull at your heart-strings and make you care for her protagonists. It was amazing as always to see all the beloved faces again from the Something So series in this book. It truly feels like revisiting dear friends. I highly recommend This Is Wild and give it 5 stars!
I’m not gonna lie and will admit straight away that I haven’t been so excited but equally scared to read a book from Natasha Madison in a while. I knew from the previous story that Viktor is going to be Zoe’s love interest but was afraid how their relationship will work out, considering that he was a broken man who fought addiction and was recently in rehab. Things like that are never easy to read about! But Natasha Madison handled that serious topic very well and didn’t sugar coat anything. She described Viktor’s struggles in detail and realistic, making This is Wild a hell of an emotional roller-coaster. My poor heart was hurting all the time watching Viktor fighting his demons. But even after all the heartbreak and tears, I don’t regret this reading journey one bit. On the contrary! This story reminded me again that only things that don’t come easy are the ones worth fighting for.
Even though she grew up surrounded by hockey players, Zoe was never interested in this sport. She doesn’t even like skating and swore to never date or settle down with the likes of them. All this pretty and smart blonde cares about is climbing the corporate ladder and becoming one of the most successful realtors in New York City.
Viktor skated before he even walked. At age eighteen he was drafted into the N.H.L. But unfortunately fame and money made him party too much. Five years later he gets traded a week after he enters rehab. Now all he cares about is getting better and stay clean. There’s no place in his life for anything else than hockey. But once he meets Zoe, a realtor and his team boss’ sister, he starts thinking about a future he never thought possible.
At first their relationship is strictly professional. But once they start forming a friendship the lines between this and more start to blur. Will one night, one decision, one act change everything?
I can’t and won’t give away more from the story, because you need to experience this journey on your own. Be warned that it’s not an easy one, but still beautiful in its own way!
What I can guarantee you is that Viktor and Zoe will steal your heart! They’re one of my most favorite characters ever written by Natasha Madison. They had a deep connection and a great chemistry that started as a slow burn.
Viktor was a broken man who made mistakes but redeemed himself in the end. He regretted his wrong decisions deeply and tried so hard to be better. I couldn’t help myself but feel sympathy and respect towards him. He thought that after everything he didn’t deserve happiness. And that was so wrong! There was no other hero more deserving of a HEA than him!
Zoe was a very compassionate and understanding woman. It takes a lot of courage and strength to love a man like Viktor. Luckily she had all that and saw him for the person he is and didn’t judge him for his past mistakes. She made Viktor realize that his addiction doesn’t define him and that he’s more than that! I loved watching her and the entire Stone family having his back and supporting him.
I applaud to Natasha Madison for writing such an inspiring and touching story that is so much more than only a hockey romance book! It’s a thought provoking, unputdownable story about second chances, redemption and forgiveness. I’m giving this gem of a book 5 well deserved stars and putting it on my most favorite reads shelf!
What can I possibly say about this INSANELY good book baby that Natasha Madison has birthed??!! To say that it’s emotionally riveting, at times heart-breaking, always sexy and absolutely unforgettable is just the bare minimum to cover everything Zoe and Viktor’s story made me feel while reading This Is Wild!!!It’s PERFECTLY, SHOCKINGLY REAL and delivered in such a way that ONLY Ms. Madison can!
This Is Wild is so beautifully written, so heart-poundingly sensual. so flirty and funny…such a slow-burn-how-can-we-be-just-friends-when-I-want-to-jump-your-bones type of romance that wraps around your very heart and soul! Especially when you weren’t expecting it…when you were expecting something light and fluffy and you get soul-searing angst and drama along with the light and fluffy! Viktor’s journey to sobriety is heartrendingly real and Zoe’s helplessness makes it even MORE real! Her strength and character are AMAZING and I love her just as much, or more, than I love Viktor! The hilarious banter between the Horton clan and their significant others (who we’ve met previously in other books, but you can TOTALLY read the This Is series as standalones from the others…I DO strongly urge you to read Zara and Evan’s EPICALLY romantic and hilarious love story in This Is Crazy first, tho!) had me laughing so loud (and sighing at all the ALPHA-ness that abounds in all these books!!!)
This Is Wild is, in my opinion, Natasha Madison’s BEST BOOK to date (I think I’ve said that with every single book she’s written, but it’s the truth!!!) and it’s ANOTHER MUST READ!!! She is one of those authors’ that can go from hilariously funny one minute to having you ugly crying the next….and LOVING every single second of it all, coming back for more time after time after time again! This Is Wild is an UNFORGETTABLE ROLLER-COASTER RIDE OF A READ that will stay with you for a long time after finishing…I can’t WAIT for my spirit-character Vivienne’s book, This Is Love coming up next!!!
5 THIS is BLISSFULLY UNFORGETTABLE Stars!!!
*4,5-5 stars*
It was an emotional rollercoaster reading this story ‘cuz on a lot of things you could really relate. You can’t help but feel for the characters and especially how Viktor has dealt with everything every day. Anyone can help you try to keep you from hitting rock bottom but ultimately it’s down to yourself to make a change… to find a light in the darkness…
Viktor has hit rock bottom after being sent to rehab after another horrible situation gone wrong and is trying to do the best he can to take it day by day. When he gets signed with a new team, it seems like it’s a fresh start for him and it feels like a family he never knew could be. Slowly he’s coming out of his shell but it’s not easy. When he first meets Zoe, there’s this instant chemistry between them that seems to blossom from friendship into something more but with his past and the struggles he still facing, he doesn’t want to risk his progress. But the connection between them is very strong and it’ll be hard to deny his feelings… Zoe has been one of the top real estate sellers in New York and does everything for her business. She hasn’t had the best of luck with men and stays away from hockey players, but the chemistry between her and Viktor is undeniable and their relationship takes a turn but will it be enough to bring down Viktor’s walls?…
I received a review copy before release for an honest review.
This story was simply amazing. Its my second favorite that the author has ever written and I have read every book she has written and am a major fan. This story had everything, romance, friendship, tears, scary moments and love and family.
Viktor is an addict who is just getting out of rehab and he has been traded to Matthew and Max’s team. He is a very good hockey player but not such a great person and Viktor wants to change. But sometimes life gets in the way of way and even love.
He meets Zoe when Matthew asks her to help him find a home and that’s how the two form a friendship. They both agree to just be friends and that is what happens for a majority of the book. This book is unusual in that it is a very slow burn. Most of this authors previous books have lots and hots of hot scenes and this book is much tamer for most of it and very slow burn.
The author really gets into Viktors head and we really feel his and Zoe’s pain. This story also has ALOT of Evan and Zara and I loved that so much about this story. While it can stand alone you will really want to read the previous book in the series so you know Zara and Evan and Zoe’s relationship. It is extremely rare and wonderful.
In this story we see all the characters from previous books and I loved that so much. A newbie to this series might be a little lost with all the different characters, their names and relationships. This was wonderfully written and I loved every second of it.
I.AM.SPEECHLESS
This author can do it all and she succeeds in all, insta-love, funny, heartbreaking, lighthearted, suspense just everything but this, this one tops them all. This read was about dealing with being a Recovering Addict and she took us along for all 12 steps. It hurt, it healed. This isn’t your normal the perfect women comes in and everything goes right and perfect Nope it was more real. It was Viktor learning and dealing to be himself, his clean self, “How can he love a woman if he can’t love himself.”
Zoe my sweet Zoe was a fantastic character she was so strong and just the absolute best friend and best sister you could ask for. She did not go into this with a relationship in mind it just slowly but surely over time she fell. She couldn’t do it alone, Gah I am getting teary-eyed just thing about it.
I loved that this series is al Family series we always get to catch up and see glimpses of all the past and fingers crossed future characters. This book just worked flawlessly with everyone’s flaws, it was smooth and not rushed, and just I can’t say enough this one is going to stay with me for a while. I really think we are gonna need Thirsty Viviane after this.
This is a very emotional book. You will need patience, wine, tissues and maybe chocolate.
Viktor and Zoe’s story is one of struggle, addiction and love. How do you love an addict? Can an addict return that love? The emotional toll that Viktor’s addiction takes on his family, friends and career is like no other and this book gives you hope that you can succeed but reminds you it will take all you have to do it.
Zoe is a very strong character and she has no idea of what Viktor has gone through. They start out as friends but she ultimately falls for him. But she soon realizes her love is not enough for both of them and Viktor realizes to get the girl he has some work to do.
Natasha has hit it out of the park with this one.
Gah, 5 stars is not nearly enough for this fantastic story!
Natasha Madison, you hit me right where it counts! Your impeccable writing and creative storyline show how talented you truly are. I honestly believe this is your best work yet! I’ve devoured so many of your books and this one will forever hold a special place in my heart.
Zoe was previously introduced in This Is Crazy, her sister Zara’s book. Now this sexy siren who is fun loving, successful and feisty blows me away. I love a strong heroine who I can admire and relate to. Zoe is perfection. I freakin love everything about her.
Viktor is just wow. He’s relocating and starting over with a new team. Recruited by Zoe’s brother after rehab and being traded by his previous team. Viktor is vulnerable as a recovering addict and is well aware of the danger of succumbing to his attraction to Zoe which is immediate. However, these two wonderful people have an easy connection and find themselves drawn to the other.
These two dance around each other for months. Building a beautiful friendship. Both tamping down the chemistry they feel. The angst is AMAZING! The pace of their journey couldn’t be more perfect.
This sports romance is slow burn nirvana – I cannot rave enough about how in love with this couple I am. Legit my favorite so far by this incredible author.
If I could give this book a million beautiful stars, I WOULD! So many feels.
This is Wild is so different from anything I have read in quite sometime.
Beautiful.
Heartbreaking.
This one will pull at your heart strings. Grab yourself some tissues, a bottle of wine and put out your DO NOT DISTURB sign. Settle in and enjoy this incredible, addicting ride!!!!
