THIS IS BOOK TWO IN SERIES. PLEASE READ THIS IS WAR, BABY FIRST.
My War was over and I had lost. My captor reminded me I was nothing more than his pawn.
His strategy never changed…it was always me.
But what he didn’t know was that LOVE always wins.
In my War, I’d found not only peace
but LOVE as well.
I’d been through a battlefield with my War and LOVE was what brought us to the other side.
LOVE was what brought us to the other side.
Our LOVE was beautiful and pure. Undying.
My captor thinks he has won this war. That I will LOVE him.
What he doesn’t know is this time, I’m the one with a strategy. I’m always thinking several moves ahead of him, my War taught me that.
I will outsmart him and find peace again.
This is a war I will win.
My LOVE will conquer all.
Warning:
This is Love, Baby is a dark romance. Strong sexual themes and violence which could trigger emotional distress are found in this story. Terrible, terrible things happen to our poor heroine, so you’ve been properly warned. This story is NOT for everyone.

This is Love, Baby is book 2 where This is War, Baby left off.And let me just say that this book didn’t disappoint.
I was so Involved with book 1 that I had to no what happens with the MC.
And this book is so real and unfiltered.
I loved every moment because Baylee, And War
Are Survivors and they will stop at nothing to be together. Baylee was so inspirational to me because even though, she got captured again by her abuser she Found a way to outsmart him and was able to not let him destroy her humanity. War was also a great character in this book because even through he has psychological Condition it was Baylee that kept him from going to the dark place, and he was able to focus long enough to reach Baylee when she was at her lowest.I and needed him for strength.
I loved War’s father because he was such a great addition in this book as well of his love for his son And his new daughter-in-law.
when you read this book you will feel empathy you will root for the characters you will cry you will mourn the loss of what these two people have gone through but at the end this book gives you hope that love always finds a way that love can conquer anything.
This is Love, Baby picks up right where This is War, Baby left off and K. Webster keeps us just as glued to the pages as the first book. My emotions were all over the place during this one, but once again, it was all worth it. Our heroine goes through so much… on top of everything she previously endured and once again shows us her strength and resilience. I definitely recommend this book, but make sure you read book 1 first!
Following the ending of the first book, Bailey is back in her evil captive. Gabe would never let her go. War is gone. But a black horse came to rescue.
Brandon finally find his love. What ever happen, he will be her hero. He will protect her from the evil. Only to find she is no longer his.
Being casualty of Gabe evilness, Brandon is not the sweet boy Bailey fall in love with. The ball is in his part now. He will kill Gabe and take what his back even while she’s kicking and screaming. He deserved her love and obedience after all.
Bailey wouldn’t be victim anymore. When Brandon is no longer the same boy she loved, she will make sure the evil slay the dragon for her cause War’s love make her Queen. And she will be even when secrets after secrets about her parents reveal.
-> Spoilers if you haven’t read the first book (This is War, Baby) <- "I only think about you. The black abyss inside my head is obliterated by your light." What the hell just happened in this book? My mind is blown! It had so many crazy plot twists that had me stressing about the outcome of this story. At the end of This is War, Baby we see Gabe returning for Bay like he promised. He shoots War and again captured Baylee. We all know Gabe has issues. There were so many questions I needed answers to. In this book we get them all. A couple of them I predicted correctly. I won't mention which ones. We get an additional POV in this book, whose POV you ask?? Read it and find out! "You chase away my demons. I'm nothing more than your servant - put on this earth to worship you until the end of time." There was more action in this book than the first one, which in my opinion was perfect. It gives the story another dimension that will have you hooked to the story. It was unpredictable, crazy things happened when you least expected it. I had mixed feelings about a couple of characters: Do I hate them or feel bad for them. Baylee made a couple of reckless decisions, that I found stupid because she deliberately put herself in danger. "I'll never belong to another. War owns me and I own him. Together we are peace." K. Webster did such a great job with this book. It was better than the first and my favorite by her so far! She keeps the reader guessing and throwing twists left and right. She had me hooked and it didn't take me long to finish this book. The epilogue was AMAZING!! Whatever I say will be spoilery so I wan't say anything but OMG!!!!!! I highlighted the hell out of this book so that I wouldn't miss/forget any of the details. I need more!
Each book leaves me speechless, and still needing more. Of course just when you think it’s over, you’re hit with another bombshell that you never expected. This series has been dark, dirty, raw and emotionally packed to the hilt. I cannot wait to read the next one.
Well I really liked this book. So much more than I did the first one. Which surprises me because after the first one didn’t meet my expectations I didn’t have high hopes for this one. I only read it to see what happened thanks to the cliffhanger from book 1. I’m glad I read this one. It was so good and dark that I would have given it 5 stars but I took a star off for Brandon. I just couldn’t buy into his trip to crazy town. It was just to out of character, too over the top and just unbelievable.
If it wasn’t for Brandon turning into a sociopath this would have been perfect! Again Gabe was the epitome of evil and psychotic to his core. Perfect for a dark read. War was great this book, but he was great the last book. I did like seeing his character growth. War came so far from the mess he was in book 1. But Baylee stole the show for me this time around. I felt way more of a connection to her in this book. I loved that she fought back, got angry and did what she had to do to survive. Her actions were way more believable in this book, and I found myself really liking her and rooting for her and War’s hea. I loved the intensity of War and Bay’s relationship in this book. Their love felt so deep. Overall I felt more connected, more intrigued, and more on the edge with this book than with book one. Although I didn’t like the cliffy like ending in this book. It kinda took away from my Hea that I so deserved! I am going to continue on with the series even though I worry if I will like the next one. A few friends have warned me the next one gets gross and kinda over the top. So I guess we shall see!
War and Peace # 2
If you haven’t read book one, I suggest you head on to “This is War, Baby” pronto…
This is the continuation of that.
Anyway, if you have read that, you’re probably dying to know what’s awaiting both Baylee and War.
And Gabe, of course…
This was a cluster-f* of emotions that will leave you shocked, reeling, angry, sad, pained and happy. Layers start to unravel as major secrets come to light.
We finally see the who, the how, the why, the what, and the when of everything. We also get to meet more of Brandon…remember him? Baylee’s boyfriend from book 1?
At this point, Baylee starts to toughen up. The love and connection she felt with War has given her the courage to stand strong. Though being dragged back into the same events she faced at the beginning, and trust me it was painful to read, we see her turn from a victim to a survivor.
New threats arise as the Dragon enters the picture.
“Time to show them I’m not a pawn. I’m the motherfucking queen. This is War, Baby. And I will win.”
War, on the other hand, is powerless through majority of it. His mind is fighting against itself so he can overcome his affliction and help Baylee. Their love, though coming from two broken people, is evident in this story. It surpasses every single tragic event that they go through.
“My War protects what belongs to him as if it precious.”
“Every breath, every thought, every blink. You were in each and every one.”
Through distance and pain, and worries and death, these two manage to keep their strength FOR the other alive.
K. Webster does it again. She weaves an elaborate tale full of suspense and conflict, through death and separation, through secrets and confusion and omission and lies, we get an enthralling story that will keep these characters with us…
Even after the last page has come and gone.
This is a dark romance. Please keep that in mind. If you enjoy dark themes then this is definitely the book for you.
OMG!!! This book will put you through the wringer, so be prepared!! There is no way you can pass up this book if you read This Is War, Baby!! So go get it right now and I’ll just wait right here while you do… Okay now I promise you that you won’t regret it!! I refuse to spoil the roller coaster ride you are about to jump on, but I will tell you K Webster is an extremely talented writer that I am so happy a good friend introduced me to!! So go read this book and start early because you will not want to put it down!! Although you may want to throw your Kindle when it’s over…
Love is a many splendored thing…unless you are Baylee. Then it’s a twisted as f@ck nightmare haunting your every move.
Think I’m being dramatic! Ha! This book twists and turns you into a pretzel. Preconceived notions of right, wrong, and love are so skewed in the minds of the characters. I don’t want to give anything away so I will be vague…Holy F@ck!
Vague enough?!? I had to hide some of my favorite quotes because they would spoil it for you. Just know that nothing is sacred…
Evil comes in all forms and so does love.
P.S. The ending was mind blowing even with my sinister mind developing theories. It also resulted in yelling that scared my dog. FYI.
reviewed for Sweet Spot Sisterhood
Oh my gosh, this story is becoming a favorite.
War and Bay are such flawed and broken people, but together they are everything.
Baylee is such an amazing girl who doesn’t give up and fights through these terrible and horrifying events just to pull out on the other side with such amazement.
And War, what he overcomes for his Peace is so beautiful.
Brandon totally got what was needed, though Gabe, why?!!! He is the worst kind of evil, and he just I don’t even have words for his kind of sadist.
Looking forward to the next book and all the chaos and crazy.
If I go for therapy , K Webster pays the bill.
I needed Defibrillator every chapter. And it stopped beating at the last line!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh My Pucking Gawwwd. Why doesn’t Gabe be a good boy and just roll over and die!!!
He’s a multi headed Hydra . Immortal Monster !
The story picks up where War ended, The innocent sweet angel is again snatched by the demon and held captive, but now her stature is more vulnerable than ever, more at risk. She’s trying to steel her soul to endure and escape. But here’s a twist, her ex is thrown in the equation as well . Now there are two monsters
The Dragon and the The Devil . She’s an angel caught between them, both ready to pull her towards them splitting her soul in the process.
She plays one against the other to scramble safely towards her salvation.
She’s not the pawn any more
“The rules state the pawn is the weakest piece.
But if the pawn makes it to the other side, it gets promoted.
The pawn can become the Queen.
And then it’s not weak at all .”
What a brilliant line that sums up the story !!
But K being K , safety is an illusion
she better sell a lot of books and make tons of money cause she’s paying for our therapies and rehabs !!!
This series is going have to be in my top reads of 2016.
I really wish I could rate more than 5 * I will say I was a little scared going into this book cause some sequels never live up to the first book I shouldn’t have worried K. Webster has done an amazing Job she drags you in from the first page.
I will even say I felt sorry for Gabe in parts and I hated him in book 1.
I not going to spoil it with anything because you need to just Live in the book with these Characters.
You get all your Answers and More…. Twists and Turns that I never saw coming.
