This book is about the authors experience of losing her only child and her journey to live life again. On August 2, 2007 around 2:45 a.m., she received a phone call from her son’s job informing her that he had was killed in a trucking accident. Cynthia screamed from the depth of her soul while slowly going to the floor in disbelief. In one unexpected moment, her life was in a whirlwind. She kept … kept saying,”This is unbelievable” ” This is crazy.” Little did Cynthia know that she would be saying this phrase over and over again for many reasons and for many years. She was desperately seeking help in her shattered world of grief and loss. She knew her search for understanding was the key to healing. Her healing process began when she joined a grief support group. She was tired of pretending, of wearing a mask of normalcy. She realized she had only blocked the experience out of her mind, which had prolonged her healing process. Cynthia confronted the loss and began an active pursuit to heal in a healthy way. During this pursuit, she realized loss comes in many forms (e.g. divorce/ relationship, job, homes, death, etc.), but the stages of the grief process are the same.

I love all the something so series by Natasha Madison and now this is series.
I thought it was pretty good. Did not care for the bad language.
Evan and Zara were a slow burn, strangers to lovers romance. There was humor, there was love, there was drama and then there was Vivienne and Zoe who provided the majority of the humor but also a lot of support for Zara. Also while i said slow burn, the timeline of their romance was fast but Evan dragged out the first kiss and the first time they had a hot scene. This was a steamy must read!
This latest book by Natasha Madison was absolutely a fun and sexy story that kept me engaged throughout.
Zara Stone thought she had it all figured out and was ready to commit herself to her boyfriend, but the darling boyfriend had other plans and they didn’t include Zara. So, she decides that the best revenge is to show him a lesson with a handsome hockey player by the name of Evan Richards, and what started as a joke soon becomes a little more complicated for both Zara and Evan.
Holy moly, Evan is the stuff dreams are made of, handsome, sweet, and oh so sexy! He is without a doubt swoon worthy and Zara definitely hit the lottery with him, even though she didn’t want to be attached to a hockey player. The banter between the two main characters was out of this world entertaining and the flow of the story feels very natural and convincing. There was a certain character that will make the reader want to get in the book and smack the heck out of her to show her some sense. But like in any good tale you need those complications in order for the main characters to grow closer together. There are appearances from characters from a previous series, but you don’t necessarily need to read those other books in order to understand this one.
This is Crazy is fun, sensual, and enjoyable from beginning to end. Highly recommended.
Omfg!!! Natasha is killing me I mean absolutely killing me!!!! I mean her writing is superb, she has improved so much in such a short amount of time that it is crazy. About like this book was crazy good. Like I wanted so much more, she could have kept writing and writing and I would have kept reading and reading no matter what Zara and Evan done. I mean as soon as that first chapter was done I was gone for hook, line and sinker. Fallen straight into that world. And I can’t wait for Zoe’s book. I mean like can it be ready now!! I’m already doing a reread on This is crazy because I just can’t get enough of it!!!. One of the best and funniest books this year and those hashtags!! Priceless!! I highly recommend this book!!! By Tina
OMG I am blown away. I read this book in one sitting. Anna Brooks is automatic one click author for me. If you haven’t read her books, stop whatever the fuck you are doing and go read her books. Especially this series.
Roam is much much awaited by many invested and inlove with this series. Roam is everything it promised it would be and more.
Brinley and Noble no each other from what seems like a life times before. A brutal life time before.
Noble finds her by mistake and instantly he is a goner for her. He brwaks all boundaries and walls to be with her. They heal each other, fight for each other, give each other a new beginning but most Importantly they give each other every of the best. Life has treated these two so badly and you will be fucking thrilled when they meet again.
Grab this book its hot, heated and swoony.
Enjoy!!!!
All I could do was laugh as I read this story. Natasha Madison has such a fun aspect to all her stories. This is Crazy is the PERFECT title for this story. She leaves you laughing one minute, and shaking your head with that “what happened” feeling the next.
Not only is Zara sexy and smart, but hey, she is all woman. And as we know, a woman scorned… Sometimes the best way to get back at someone is … need I say more?
Evan is all man, sports star, single, enjoying being single, and about to discover maybe he is not as happy being single as he thought.
But what these two have to go thru to discover what really sits below the surface is just about…Crazy.
Natasha Madison you have again put a great story together and I am so happy to give it 5-stars. Great job!
There is a reason that Natasha Madison is one of my go to authors for RomComs. The way that she is able to write her characters to be relatable, that you can’t help but get sucked into their story. And Zara and Ethan’s story is no different. You will find yourself laughing and swooning to the end. And then you will be wanting more
“ ’ . .”
Light, fun, swoony, and so damn romantic, by Natasha Madison was the perfect read to satisfy my happily ever after craving! Evan Richards is just THE BEST! Charming, SWOONY, and deliciously ALPHA…there is nothing quite like a Natasha Madison hero. And the absolute perfect woman to handle all that charm…Zara Stone! These two were just magical. I loved every freaking second of their journey! I know Natasha has some incredible and emotional things in store for this new spin-off series, but this one right here…what a FANTASTIC start! I’m so pumped up for the next one!

So here’s the thing… It took me a while to get into this book. Something about the abundance of details that we’re given was a bit overwhelming – given Zara’s job as a stylist, I understood the inclusion of all of the fashion details, but we’re also given so many of the design details of each of the main characters’ residences (for example) and I got lost in the minutae a little bit. But once I got past that, I really enjoyed this book. I wish we got more details about Zara and Evan’s pasts beyond their most recent relationships. I loved the family aspect of the story though and I can’t wait for Zoe’s story. I also feel COMPELLED to go back and read the story of Zoe and Zara’s siblings – so despite the somewhat of a slow start, I may just be hooked on Natasha Madison! 4 out of 5 wine glasses.
This book is exactly like the title “this is crazy”. Mr Evan Richards is a hockey star and a hottie. Answering a twit from Zara Stone, changes his life. I enjoy reading books part of a series. I love the fact that the author brings in family members, and they blend right in, which makes the book even more interesting. I look forward to Zoe’s book. Definitely another 5 star hockey book for me.
The concept was cute, but I didn’t love this. I’m giving it 2.5 out of 5 stars. This review is for an ARC, and reflects my honest opinion.
I’d never read this author before, so when I signed up, I didn’t realize the characters showed up in another series (and it didn’t mention it in the sign up form like the summary does). I tried binging that series first, and only made it through 1 1/4 books before I had to read this. I thought I’d love all hockey romances since I have up to this point, but this wasn’t for me, and neither were the Something So books I read.
The characters were okay, but I felt like we didn’t get to know them as much as I wanted. What were their hobbies, what were their personalities like besides what we saw, etc.? I like alpha males to a certain extent, but some of the things Evan said weren’t okay with me. Zara’s character was not my favorite. Also I think she did a complete 180 in personality to fit into Evan’s life, which I was NOT a fan of. I liked Zoe, so I might read her book, but probably not.
These books were way too descriptive. Example: I didn’t need to know what every room looked like down to the carpet, colors, etc. Also I didn’t believe the romance aspect of this author’s book(s). As soon as the guys saw the women (and the women saw the guys too on a smaller scale), they were like she’s mine. Really?!? I wanted to love this, but it was just kind of meh for me. I was the black sheep though, so go ahead and read this one for yourself!
I just started reading Natasha a few months ago, and I hate what I have been missing out on! Her books make me laugh . . . out loud!
If you like romcom and sports and sexy men and sweet women, you will love This is Crazy! This read was so light, and airy. Umm, can you describe a book that way? Maybe more so, sweet and fun.
Zara is strong, funny and determined. She comes from a huge family and they are protective, (overly at times). They rag on each other, but they support each other to the end.
Evan is the nicest guy. He is an alpha male, but without the iron fist. He’s the type that will woo you and spoil you. Oh and did I mention he is drop dead gorgeous and good with a stick!
The two of them together are just classic. It’s like the girl next door, meets the big strong jock and watch the antics begin. Oh yea, did I tell you all this started because of a tweet. Ohhh, that social media.
There were a couple of issues I had, but not enough to make me not like the story or not looking forward to the rest of them!
Natasha Madison has become one of my top 5 favorite authors. Her books keep getting better and better.
This is Crazy is a spinoff/continuation of the something so series…. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS WHOLE SERIES! Each character has a special place in my heart, but Mad Max as always will forever be my favorite.
This is Crazy can be read as a standalone, but like I mentioned the other books on the Something So series will make you understand each character more. This book was about Evan and Zara. Guys, Evan made me swoon like never!!!! He was so sweet, protective, and possessive in a sexy kinda of way. I loved how he never pretended to be someone else, nor let frustration get the best of him. He knew what he wanted, and he worked hard for it. Zara is someone who isn’t always out there, she is kinda of shy, and holds back at times. So when she does something out of her norm, the last thing she expects is to be thrown into a place with a guy who makes her feel things she has never felt before.
Zara and Evan are PERFECT!!! The chemistry and sexual tension between these two was so strong I was all over the place, I had a hard time putting this book down. I was crying, laughing, and screaming during most of the book. This is a MUST read guys, Natasha just delivered one of her best books yet…. and I have a feeling this is just the beginning. I cannot wait for the second book in this series…. give me Zoe!!!
Can I just say how much I adore Natasha Madison??? She continues to blow me away with her storytelling talent!!!! This is Crazy was one of those rare books that kept me up way past my bedtime to finish!
I fell in love immediately with Zara and Evan. The book opens with Zara expecting an engagement, but what she got was dumped!!! Of course, no other woman was involved, right? That doesn’t ring quite true when she sees her ex’s engagement picture on Instagram. With a couple of drinks in her system, she decides to show him she is completely over him. So, she tweets his hero, hockey phenom, Evan Richards, and asks him to help her crash “said ex’s wedding.” He’s intrigued and accepts. What starts as something casual turns into something more…maybe even a little crazy!!!!
For a book to be really fabulous to me, it has to have a great storyline and great characters. Madison exceeded my expectations in both areas!!!! I felt like I knew both Zara and Evan! Zara is beautiful and sassy, yet she has a heart of gold. Evan is an alpha male, yet he respects Zara! He protects her, but he doesn’t try to control her. They were perfect for one another.
In addition, Madison also created a great cast of secondary characters!!! I loved both Zara and Evan’s families!!!! Can I just mention that two of my favorite characters were Evan’s labs, Lilo and Stitch. I have two labs myself, and Madison really captures their fun and loving nature.
The storyline was paced perfectly. Yes, these two fall pretty quickly for each other, but I felt like Madison realistically captured their connection, and the title accurately describes how the two feel about each other.
There are challenges to their relationship. Her brothers are on opposing hockey teams and are pretty protective of their sister. She lives in New York, and he lives in Dallas, TX. His sister is pretty protective of him as well! Yet, I loved watching this couple fall madly and crazy in love with one another.
The icing on the cake was that we didn’t just get one epilogue but two. Madison sets us up quite nicely for the next book in the series. I can’t wait to get Zoe’s story!!!! If you love a great hockey romance with some steam and sweetness, you can’t go wrong with this one!!!!
A new-to-me author and I loved this story!
“She isn’t pretty, and she isn’t beautiful. Exquisite is the only word that comes to mind.”
One crazy tweet in a fit of temper finds Zara Stone suddenly on a crazy roller-coaster of fun and new beginnings. What starts out as something of a revenge plan turns into something sweet, sexy and full of promise.
“It’s because one kiss won’t be enough. I know if I kiss you I won’t stop kissing you.”
Evan Richards is totally charmed by a funny tweet and ends up responding to the tweeter. When the tweeter turns out to be beautiful, intriguing, and someone from the hockey world, he is all for seeing how things go with her.
“It’s at this moment I realize I’m in way over my head. This crazy thing is starting to snowball, and I’m afraid I won’t survive the end of it.”
I adored this story! It had a high feel-good factor, low angst, humour, and plenty of slow-burn sexy! Zara and Evan were gorgeous together. I loved their rapport, their connection and their chemistry, and how they really didn’t care what other people thought. Looking forward to reading more of this author’s books.
This Is Crazy by Natasha Madison is the first book in her new This is series and a hilariously sexy romp of misdeeds and humor. Told in dual POV between Zara and Evan you quickly learn that Zara has the tendency towards mischief when she reaches out to Evan to help her get back at her ex. What could go wrong, right? Between the secondary characters in this story and Zara & Evan I had so much fun reading this. Plus, you know, hockey! Sexy in all the right ways – this is my first read by this author but won’t be my last. Now to catch up on her Something So series I am now eager to read. Enjoy!
You know when you’ve read a REALLY good book, the epilogue is amazing and you close your kindle and just give a heartfelt sigh? THAT’S exactly how Natasha Madison made me feel after finishing her latest, This Is Crazy (Book 1 in the This Is Series) And along the way, I fell TOTALLY and COMPLETELY in love with Evan and Zara!
When a heartbroken Zara Stone tweeted hockey’s hottest superstar, Evan Richards, asking him to be her date to crash her ex-douchebag’s wedding, she never expected to get an answer let alone a resounding YES!!! And when they meet for the first time? Ohhhhhh Myyyyyy GAWD, the chemistry is SIZZLING!!! And the banter between these two makes this slow-burn love story one that will have you laughing your butt off, as well as burning up your e-reader! But when we DO finally get to the sexy times? You may need a fan or a cold shower….I’m just sayin’!
As the sassy, feisty Zara and the oh-so-Alpha Evan fall in love, there ARE some bumps along the road to their HEA…namely Evan’s sister-come-manager, who I wanted to take out and b eat to within an inch of her life!!! When Evan FINALLY gives her the talking-to that she so richly deserves, I did a happy dance and a fist pump!
I loved catching up with all the characters from the Something So series (This Is Crazy is the first book in a spin-off from that series) If you haven’t read that series yet, you really NEED to….it’s simply MAGIC! Once again, Ms. Madison has written a laugh-out-loud, sexy, swoony, soul-satisfying romance that deserves ALL THE STARS!!!! I can’t wait for the next book in this series!!!
My God Natasha Madison just gave us the most Phenomenal addition to the Something Series. The Stone family is one of my all time favourite families. The kids and their friends are such an amazing addition to this series…. Natasha you are Fucking amazing Lady. Your writing is absolutely Brilliant. This book is light and Fluffy. It’s Sweet and Fucking Hot.
You have me Laughing and swooning so much. There is no way that you cant read this book without a permanent smile and maybe even giggles.
Zara and Evan are meant to be together. Their story is so captivating because it’s so different. It’s vibrant and so easy flowing.
When Zara’s silly and really cute Tweet changes the Game, we get to reap the benefits of watching such a beautiful love story begin…
Their chemistry is 12/10, they are on fire. I fucking loved their hotness for each other….
Zara doesn’t like Hockey although it runs in her family. She is a Stylist which is so far off from the family business. You have to admire her urge to be on her own. To set her own rules. She is the best kind of girl and when her Dick Face Ex Dumped her although it hurt, It really was the best thing he could have ever done.
Evan knows really Soon that Zara is his one… he knew instantly that she was different that she was worth fighting for. Him showing her he was worth the risk was just so swoony. It was magical watching this Alpha and Sassy come together. Their beautiful dance was captivating and so enthralling.
I’m utterly in love with these two. They have undoubtedly stolen my heart.
Grab this book and I promise you that this book, this Author is what we need in this Crazy, Horrid world…
Enjoy…
