“This is true Chick Lit…relatable, quirky, and downright hilarious.” -Brookeblogs.com ★★★★★“I couldn’t put the book down and literally woke the hubz up in the middle of the night because I was laughing so hard at one point.” -Mama’sGot Flair ★★★★★From Readers’ Favorite Book Award winner, Becky Monson, comes a chick lit romance series that will keep you laughing. For fans of Sophie Kinsella, … laughing. For fans of Sophie Kinsella, Helen Fielding, & Jennifer Weiner, follow the adventures of Julia Dorning as she tries to escape spinsterhood.
Julia Dorning is a spinster, or at least on the road to becoming one. She has no social life, hates her career, and lives in her parent’s basement with her cat, Charlie.
With the arrival of Jared Moody, the new hire at work, Julia’s mundane life is suddenly turned upside down. Her instant (and totally ridiculous) crush on the new guy causes Julia to finally make some long-overdue changes, in hopes to find a life that includes more than baking and hanging out with Charlie.
But when the biggest and most unexpected change comes, will the new and improved Julia be able to overcome it? Or will she go back to her spinster ways?

I had a hard time getting into this book, but once I did, I loved it.
all I can say is I made it to the end.
Fun! Good book of its kind.
It was fairly funny and relatable
Funny and believable characters. Easy to read.
I was not real impressed with this book. It was kind of boring most of the time, but a little funny in some places. Not my kind of book I guess.
Very cute, fun book! I loved getting to know the characters and didn’t want it to end! Lucky, there are two more!
Quick, light hearted read. I loved this book! I read it when I was feeling a little depressed ; it definitely was a pick me up (lol- hiding under the conference table) which brought back memories of my first job when I was in my early twenties. There is also the sweetest (donut shop) romance that transpires which is perfect from start to …
Funny, couldn’t put it down. Sorry to finish book. Wanted more
I loved all of these!!!!
This was a cute book and a fun read
Enjoyable!
Really enjoyed
It sort of has an element of Sophie Kinsella. I loved all of her characters, but the writing was a little too sweet in some spots. Overall enjoyed it though.
Loved this book! Very easy and relaxing read!
I enjoyed so much I bought the next 2 books.
I am aware that some people are very awkward, socially, but this protagonist was ridiculous. She couldn’t keep a person’s confidence. To me that would be a dealbreaker, and for her to “ forgive “ him after he lied to her and took it upon himself to include her in the layoffs, was just self destructive and Co- dependent. The Work arena was boring.
