Rose and Neely Kate start to investigate Rose’s birth mother’s death in not only an attempt to get Neely Kate out of her depression but to find answers for herself.
Add Miss Mildred and it is something else! I was dying laughing over some of the conversations they had with her.
A 25 year old investigation would be harmless right?? Wrong!
Meanwhile Mason’s life is still in danger so the suspense on if something is going to happen is high. Constant end of my chair waiting to see what is gonna happen next. This book did bring out a couple shocks yet every moment is awesome.
Don’t forget the bonus chapters at the end!!

OMG. There is so much going on in this book. Rose is trying to cheer up NK and stumbles upon a mystery from the past surrounding her birth mother, Dora. As the ladies try to uncover the mystery, Rose continues her work as the Lady in Black as part of her deal with Skeeter to save Mason’s life. Rose uncovers more than she bargained for and discovers who is behind a decades old crime and tries to turn in the evidence. I don’t want to spoil the end, but I will say it is an incredible cliffhanger that leaves Rose in the same position she was in during the very first book. But who is on her side? Mason? Joe? I can’t wait to find out in the next book!

This book, wow! I think this book was great. All of the favorites are back. This story dug me deeper into the Rose story. I must say had a few tears for Neely Kate. I am so confused in a good way on how I want this story to unfold. There was a couple spots in this book where I put the book down and said that’s it bc of something going on. The end,the end, oh my the end. I was in total shock(still am). My daughter looked at me and said whats going on. She seen I was reading and said what did Denise do now. Run get this book if you have not. If you have reread so you can be ready for the next book.

This book ends on a major cliffhanger! The bonus scenes from others points of view are awesome to still understand what is going on and to dig a little deeper into Rose’s world. Something is sketchy and going on with Violet. She was very hush hush in this book. I’m loving how Maeve is becoming more and more prominent in Rose’s life. Along with her little secret that she told Rose. I feel like she’s just that lovable “mom” type. Mason is keeping too many secrets from Rose and I’m hoping we get some more answers in the next book. And Joe. My goodness. I’m still NOT on #TeamJoe. I’m still loving how Mason treats her. Rose never seems to fall into trouble no matter where she goes. Even when looking into a 25 year old case. These characters are in different parts of their lives and I love feeling and going through this stuff with them. Onto Thirty-Five and a Half Conspiracies!!

In Thirty Four and a Half Predicaments, Rose and Neely Kate get involved in a cold case from the past. It just so happens to involve Rose’s birth mother Dora being wrapped up in this crime. Rose digs deep into the past and begins to unravel Dora’s secrets. I really enjoy when Denise writes about Rose’s birth mother and the mystery that surrounds her entire story. This book has twist and turns that I did not see coming, and ends with a cliff hanger in the best possible way. Denise Grover Swank keeps me intrigued for sure. You won’t want to put this one down!

The Rose Gardner series is by far my favorite series written. Denise Grover Swank is an amazing writer who makes you feel the story. I feel like in every book Rose has grown into an amazingly stronger person and this book proves just that.
If you are looking for a great series that will suck you in and keep you begging for more, this would be the perfect series for you.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Worth the read! I love all the Rose books and this one is no different! We learn so much about Rose’s past in this book. We learn the truth about her birth mother, how she died, and the players involved. Joe has some major character flaws in this book. I hate how he treats Mason and Rose. This book keeps you turning the pages! The bonus chapters are a great edition to this book giving us a perspective of the story from other characters. Perfect read!

I absolutely loved Thirty-Four and a Half Predicaments. There were so many questions answered in this book about Rose’s birth mother and a lot of the things that happened 25 years ago. The book ended in a cliff hanger which I do not mind because I will read the next book either way.
I enjoyed reading about Rose, her ongoing shenanigans, and her relationships with Mason, her sister, and her friends. I am curious to see what Joe’s sister Kate is up to as well as Hilary. I really like Skeeter and Jed and I am glad that they are making a more prominent appearance in the books.
Joe’s behavior in this book is frustrating and I am curious to see if there is any redemption for him in the future books. There is still a lot of mystery left to solve in the next book and I cannot wait to read what happens to Rose.

I can’t even begin to thank Denise enough for the amount of love she has for her readers! Thirty-four left us all wondering what in the heck just happened and these bonus chapters helped to fill the void until Thirty-five. We’ve been gifted with the thoughts and feelings behind key characters in Rose’s story. Her little tid bits of goodies whether they’re bonus chapters or novellas have helped shape our love of these characters and truly invested us to them as if they were our own friends. I love Rose and her merry band of misfits and I will gladly accept whatever Denise is willing to give us!

Thirty-Four and a half Predicaments is fun, adventurous, and eventful. I loved every page of it. Rose is growing so much as Lady in Black and so is her friendship with Skeeter. Who would ever think of all the twists and turns Rose and Neely Kate would encounter while investigating a 25 year old mystery. The last twist of the book blew my mind. I could not believe the final chapter! I need the next book and answers.
