I should’ve never agreed to this arrangement…Thirty days ago, my boss–Mr. Wolf of Wall Street, came to me with an offer I couldn’t refuse: Sign my name on the dotted line and pretend to be his fiancée for one month. If I agreed, he would let me out of my employment contract with a “very generous” severance package. The rules were pretty simple: No intimate kissing, no actual sex. Just pretend … kissing, no actual sex. Just pretend to love each other for the press, even though I’ve secretly wanted to knock that sexy smirk off his face since the first day we met.
I definitely didn’t need to think twice about this. I signed my name and started counting down the seconds to when I would never have to deal with his special brand of ass-holery again.
I only made it to one minute…
We argued the entire four-hour flight to his hometown, failed to make a convincing impression with the welcoming press, and right when I was about to knock that arrogant look off his face in real life? He purposely dropped his bath towel in front of me, distracting me with his nine-inch cock to “show me who the bigger person was” in our relationship. Then he gave me his trademark smirk once again and asked if I wanted to consummate our marriage.
Tragically, this is only day one.
We still have 29 more days to go…

You know when you need a book that isn’t too long, but that will cleanse your palate? I have a few go- to books and a few go-to authors. And Whitney G is one those authors. Some of the stories may be short, but they pack and punch with the sexiness, banter and characters you just want to eat up.
Thirty Day Boyfriend was just what I needed. Emily Johnson is the assistant to a very successful businessman, Mr Nicholas A Wolf. He is not only successful and talented, but he’s sexy, alpha and New York’s most eligible bachelor 10 years in a row. But no one has snagged this man because he’s all about his work…..and maybe his assistant of 2 years. But all Emily wants is to leave her job and him. He’s too much and she’s too smart and talented to just be his assistant. So when she looks for employment elsewhere, Mr Wolf stops her at every turn.
Man, the banter between these two was combustible. I was laughing one minute having Emily push Wolf’s buttons and then snickering because Wolf would just not give up. Especially when he comes to her with a contract that was just too good to pass up. He always wants to come out on top, after all. I enjoyed this sexy and entertaining book. It sizzled from beginning to end. The major sexual tension had me biting my lip waiting for one or both of them to explode. They just have that IT factor. My one major complaint….. Too dang short! But I swear I say that with so many of Whitney’s books. She tangles me up in her web of amazing and tantalizing characters and then it’s over. I definitely could see myself reading more of Wolf and Emily. They’ve met their match in one another and Whitney gave that to us in spades.
If you’re looking for an office romance with characters that are equals and push one another, give Thirty Day Boyfriend a chance. It may be short, but it’ll be worth it.
“It was the fact that I didn’t take one phone call or answer a single text message the entire weekend she was with me. I didn’t want to talk to anyone else. She was all I needed.”
Whitney G. has written another banger! This book is smart, funny, sexy, and everything in between. It is no secret that I am a Whitney G. fan when I read the blurb for this book, I knew I had to buy it. I was not disappointed. Whitney delivered a fabulous novella that didn’t seem like quite the novella at all. The pace was perfect and the story even better.
This story follows Nicholas Wolf and Emily Johnson in a battle of wills and hilarious enemies to lovers’ squabble. Nicholas is gorgeous and he knows it, however, he is also brilliant and top in his industry. He is ruthless in business and has the best executive assistant in New York. He just doesn’t want her to know that. Emily Johnson is just as brilliant as Mr. Wolf and gives just as good as she takes. She knows her boss is an asshole and is just biding her time until her 4-year contract is over, or maybe she will have the chance to leave early. When Nicholas makes her an offer she can’t refuse, she signs on the dotted line. All she needs to do to get away from the man who has made her life a living hell for the last two years is pretend to be his fiancé for thirty days. No big deal right, or is it?
You won’t regret reading this novella. It won’t take up much of your time, easy to read in one sitting, and will have you wanting more from these characters. Maybe if we all ask nice, Whitney G. will write us some more stories in this world. Pretty please!?!
Cute, short, hilarious read. Loved it!
This book is funny, and sweet and all the things a good romance book should be. I really enjoyed it!
This was one of the first books I “consumed” by Whitney G. I gave to admit, I listened first on Audible but then purchased the book. Her writing is witty, romantic, full of push and pull like no other author! Can’t wait for her new releases!
I bought this ages ago and only just got round to reading it. I enjoyed it way more than I expected to. The characters were great – as realistic as you could get with this sort of fairy tale. Of course it was steamy. But I liked that they secretly loved each other, so it wasn’t just about sex. Easy to read and highly recommended.
Omg this book was so cute and I loved everything about emily and wolf. Office romances and brooding bosses are my favorite and add a guy who has fallen for a girl and has been holding out for her.. GAH! It’s all the things I LOVE.
Just- OMG!! I love the way Whitney G. writes! She is so talented and her storylines are different.
I had the pleasure of listening on Audible to this hot, funny and very entertaining story! Zachary Webber and Erin Mallon I’m in love!!
Two years, the Emily Johnson has been working for the insanely gorgeous Nicholas Wolfe, Billionaire, the Wolfe of Wall Street. Emily is his Executive Assistant and even though he is gorgeous sexy, she is tired of working for him. It’s so funny how she went to a job interview behind his back, but he already knew!
So, to improve his playboy image, she agrees to be his girlfriend for thirty days, then he will release her from her job with him.
This was such an unexpected love story. I loved how on her 1st and 2nd year working for him, he gives a gift that she never opens, but puts away in her desk. I loved how when the thirty days are up, oh wow, I really loved this story!!!
I only wish her stories had an Epilogue so we see how the relationships turned out.
This was a great read, it was quick and very enjoyable.
Wolf is the type of man that wants to be in control, somehow calculated and cold. he only cares about work and money or at least that’s how he likes to be seeing .. he is handsome, arrogant and he also hides certain things from his life that made him this way.. but soon his plans will have to change if he wants to make the biggest deal of his life.
Emily is strong and confident, she works as an assistant for a very prestigious company, she is sassy and the only one who knows him and understand him better than anyone but also hates him from time to time. she wants to quit her job and start in another place where she can feel freer but is a matter of time that he won’t let this to happen until he gets what he wants from her..
Great story, great characters Wolf was hot as hell and the chemistry between Wolf and Emily was palpable even if they spend the majority of time arguing about everything and nothing in particular but at the same time made their attraction feel even stronger..
3.5 stars
Whitney G. must have a terrible boss. He seems to be the muse for multiple stories. I think we need an interview with this man of mystery.
All kidding aside, Thirty Day Boyfriend is cute. It’s exactly what you want out of a contractual situation. Romance, kittens, and ponies. oh my!
I love me a great fictional a-hole and boy did Nicholas ever pull it off. Emily and Nicholas had great banter and their sexual chemistry was off the charts! I loved that Emily was no push over when it came to Nicholas, she totally held her own. I was Team Wolf the whole time. What another great and steamy novella!
Whew, Thirty Day Boyfriend is hot! The sexual tension between Emily and Nicholas is so thick you could cut it with a knife. It was just waiting for a tiny spark for it to ignite. And when it finally ignited?! Panty melting…
Emily has worked for Nicholas “The Wolf” Wolf, the literal Wolf of Wall Street for two years and she can’t wait to quit. She’s got interviews lined up around the city. But each one tells her the same thing – Wolf will blackball them or “sue the fuck out of” them if they even consider taking away his EA. Sigh…poor Emily. So back to the grind she goes. But honestly, it’s not that bad of a job that she has with Wolf. She has a private car service. She has access to his personal jet. She has access to his credit card. The only bad part is that he’s an ass. But, she can handle him easily. She just has to remember that she’s highly, highly paid and that one day she’ll be able to quit and be able to go anywhere she wants.
When Nicholas comes to Emily with the craziest proposal she’s ever heard, she turns him down flat. But, when he ups the payout to a cool $5 million, and offers to pay off her student loans and all personal debt she has at that point, how could she possibly say no?! All she has to do is pretend to be his fiancée for 30 days so he can close a $5 billion deal. There is to be no sex, no intimate kissing, nothing but posing for pictures and doing interviews and pretending to be in love with him. Right, easy peasy…
Of course, we all know that it won’t be so easy, especially when she gets a load of his 9 inches when he drops his towel in front of her. Oops.
Yes, fake relationship romances, and office romances are a classic, kind of overdone trope lately. But Whitney G takes a somewhat fresh approach when she makes Nicholas less of an asshole playboy and more of a pining man who just had no idea how to let his assistant know how he felt about her. Well, he found a way but she was too oblivious (and didn’t read the things she should have) to notice. She was too busy taking him at face value and not bothering to dig beneath his surface to find the man he really was.
For such a short story, Whitney packs a well-developed relationship into it. I got a real sense of both Nicholas and Emily, especially Nicholas, and I really liked what I read of them. I can only hope Whitney plans on writing more about them because they are a truly great couple – sexy, witty and genuinely real with layers that we get to know as the story goes on.
If you like your fake relationship romances, office romances, or just contemporary romances, 1-click Thirty Day Boyfriend today. It’s sexy, it’s got lots of witty banter, and Nicholas and Emily are likable, interesting, engaging characters.
I really liked this – I wish it was longer though! Nicholas was the perfect kind of @$$ hole male lead – the kind with a layer you have to dig deeper to find. I really like Emily as the female lead as well. My favorite part was the last chapters though – so sweet and swoony.
I freaking loved this book!
Honestly thought, I’ve loved every book by Whitney G, so I didn’t have much doubt that i’d love this one too.
Taking a chance on an audio book is always tricky. Especially when you don’t have a chance to preview the audio. I was a little nervous going in, what if the narrators were bad?! I actually really enjoyed both Erin Mallon & Zachary Webber’s performances.
This book had a Two Weeks Notice feel to it, and it was great. It had me laughing. I actually made the mistake of starting this at work…so I was laughing out loud while listening with head phones. Needless to say, I was getting weird looks from co-workers. The funny part is that I work in a library, among avid readers and they acted like they’ve never laughed out loud while reading! But I digress…This book had me laughing and cursing myself for starting it when I only had 30 minutes to sit and read. Another perk of this book…I figured out how to stream it via bluetooth to my car. THAT’S how obsessed I was with this book.
I loved watching Nicholas and Emily bicker. Lol. He always knew what she was up to. And watching him put a stop to her interviews was hilarious! I have to say that my favorite part was the “story” of how Nicholas knew when he loved her. And near the end, when Emily FINALLY opened her anniversary gifts…LOVED IT.
Overall, you really can’t go wrong with this book, in ebook or in audio. It was a fun read!
That was a walk in the clouds. It was such a fun read. My only complaint is that, me as a reader didn’t know Nicolas’s true feeling from the start. The author brought it out as lust and sexual attractiveness. It would have been nicer if I knew he was in love with Emily from the start so when he admits it, it makes more sense to me as a reader. Plus the title of the book is wrong. It’s not 30 day boyfriend. They were -fake- engaged.
Small, fun, sexy read.
A FUN, FLIRTY, DIRTY ROLLICKING GOOD TIME !!!
Title: Thirty Day Boyfriend
Author: Whitney G.
Designation: Standalone Romantic Comedy, Novella, No Cliffhanger
My Rating: Five Sinfully Sexy Stars
Where have you been Whitney G. and why have I not heard of you till now? This may have been my first time reading the fabulously funny words of Whitney G. but it certainly won’t be my last. OMG! I loved, loved, loved Thirty Day Boyfriend! I chuckled, chortled, snickered, snorted, and laughed out loud through the entire book. Without a doubt, one of the cutest books I’ve read this year. Thirty Day Boyfriend is a well crafted, well edited, fast-paced, easy to follow, outrageously cute, standalone romantic comedy filled to the brim with the perfect combination of beautifully written first person his and her narrative, sexy snappy dialogue, wonderfully engaging and endearing characters, and a kitten named Luna! And the two protagonists, handsome demanding ‘Wolf of Wall Street’ boss Nicholas Wolf and beautiful, intelligent and very plucky executive assistant Emily Johnson, were absolutely perfect together! Did I like t his book? No, I LOVED it! Would I recommend it? You bet and I am but only for adult readers since it does contain a whole lot of flirty dirty dialogue and a little bit of dreamy sex! If you enjoy handsome, sex-on-a-stick, wealthy boss, and beautiful, intelligent, plucky employee/fake fiancee romantic comedy tropes, then this book is screaming your name! And don’t let the length fool you, it may be short and sweet but it packs quite a punch! Will I read this author again? Abso-freakin-lutely! And finally, was I entertained? Completely!
