THIS ONE HITS CLOSE!!!
With so many emotions running amuch such as, terrifying, abuse, lost, grief, guilt are just a few. Then you find it and once again there’s the terror. This is one of the many types of tragedy that happen in our world, but Liz pulled it out there for each of us to put it in perspective. Brilliantly detailed and showing just how strong a person can be. A remarkable job bringing this read to life.
This is a very gripping story that grabbed me right from the start to the finish. You may need a box of tissues. I love how the Author brought the story out and how the Narrator really brought the characters out with the voices. I definitely recommend this audiobook. I wasn’t able to put it down until I finished it.

I really enjoyed this romance. The starting of Courage Reins was an amazing experience. It was awesome seeing this as I read the Seven Sons Ranch series first and this program comes up. I really liked watching these two work through their pains and come together. The idea of a horse therapy program has been tossed around in my family for over a decade. There were just many aspects of this book that hit close to my heart. I loved it. Like with any Isaacson book, you just can’t get enough!
* I received this audiobook in exchange for an honest review
Story: 3 stars
The story was good…I had a difficult time understanding how the the heroine could not even boil water. It was too over-the-top. I did understand her guilt at not grieving over her fiancé, who had committed suicide after controlling every aspect of her life. She had some serious healing to do.
The hero was truly a hero and had some serious PTSD to work through. I really like him UNTIL he all but rejects the heroine. Her character arc was coming to fruition and his insecurities affected her and sent her back down a spiral for a while.
I did enjoy the fact that when they were both more secure in their skins is when the author finally brought them together for good.
I guess I just had a hard time connecting with this particular set of characters.
Narrator: 4.5 stars
Ms. Doughty does an excellent job. She has a nice Texas accent and her voice is deep enough that her men sound like men. I like the speed she narrates and her expressions are appropriate for the situations they portray.
*poor, **ok, ***good, ****very good, *****something special
A wonderful love story of a very sensitive subject that shows love and God’s healing are possible in any situation.
Couldn’t put this book down. Highly recommend
I liked Third Times The Charm because it is a story of picking up the pieces of our lives when life takes a nose dive. Of trusting God to be there when it matters the most and learning how He brings people and situations into our lives to help and guide us as we heal and carry on. It also shows how we can give of ourselves to help others overcome. I enjoyed this book from cover to cover for both a good story of faith and healing, love and trust. It has a nice wholesome cover unlike some books of today. The Arthur weaves life’s challenges into the story. Few other books compare to how the author portrays the characters in this book.. An altogether five stare performance again.
New Beginnings
Chelsea is coming home to take care of the homestead after her parents get to retire. Pete is starting his equine programs. With his help she will heal, with her help the program will excel. But will they find love.
While I had read this book before I enjoyed reading a second time.
I enjoyed this series of books. Very highly recommended read!!!!!
I love Liz Isaacson, her novels are truly wonderful! It is hard to find an author who can distinguish between a Christian Romance Novel and a Contemporary Romance Novel, but Ms. Isaacson does it and she does it well! I highly recommend every novel that I have read, and I hope that every novel I plan to read in the future is of the same quality!
“Third Time’s the Charm” is a wonderful tale of healing, peace, and hope that takes place within two people that never thought it could happen to them. People say that time heals all wounds, but for these two people horses actually have the magical touch. Some say that God works in mysterious ways, and that is seen throughout this beautifully told novel.
I recommend this ten novel series, each one is better than the last. Very well written, it’s like a story coming off the pages before your very eyes.
