From Author New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author R.G. Alexander, Book 3 in the Finn’s Pub Romance series!Ever had a thing for the man next door?My sexy new neighbor is confusing the hell out of me.Elliot Ransom is a baseball player and a single dad, but he doesn’t know his butter beer from a snozzberry. It’s clear he needs my professional help with the young daughter he’s just getting … my professional help with the young daughter he’s just getting to know. What isn’t clear is what else he’s after.
Did I mention he’s straight? At least, I think he is. The midnight balcony meetings, awkward glances and affectionate bro-hugs are starting to throw me off. But I can’t let my guard down with yet another man who isn’t sure who he is or what he wants. All I know is, I don’t want “Great with kids, Unlucky in love” to be my epitaph.
So Joey + Elliot? It’s not going to happen.

THIRD TIME LUCKY by R.G. Alexander is third in the Finn’s Pub Romance series. It stands alone just fine, but your enjoyment will likely be enriched by having indulged in the previous books in the series.
Joey Redmond has just moved into a terrific waterfront apartment in his new hometown. He’s famous for having started a nanny-placement business, one that includes all manner of capable and well-vetted nannies from all backgrounds and persuasions. He’s also feeling rather wary in matters of the heart, having just been brutally betrayed by his closeted ex. It doesn’t help that most of his family and associates are ridiculously happily in relationships; he reminds himself to focus on his business and his BFF, who’s also his silent partner in J&T Nanny Placement.
Elliot “Flash” Ransom happens to be Joey’s temporary neighbor. A professional pitcher, he’s laying low while he strengthens his relationship with his five-year-old daughter, Rue, whose existence he learned about a mere six months ago. He’s a little surprised by his attraction to his new neighbor, but takes it in stride.
R.G. Alexander’s story is a sweet, hot, and moving story. Joey and Elliot are an appealing couple, and fortunately don’t wallow in their concerns or conflicts, which no question, do spring up. They’re vulnerable and open, and also have the fortune of being surrounded by well-meaning and plain-speaking friends and found family. They are equally real and enticing people. Rue, Elliot’s daughter, is a delight without being saccharine. Third Time Lucky is a fantastic addition to the Finn’s Pub universe, and a terrific read. It’s a reminder that love, in its many forms, is love. And that love changes the world for good, one person at a time–it’s worth getting right, whether it’s the first, third, or nth time around!
I laughed so hard throughout this book. i just love Joey. Hes not had a whole lot of luck in his relationships ..and now he is lusting after his straight super hot neighbor. It’s full of “laugh out loud and scare the cat” moments. I just really love the characters and there is steamy m/m hotness thrown in…so what’s not to love ????
Walls and balls
I love the Finn-Wayne world and it just keeps getting better with every new addition. Joey and Elliot are fun, sexy, sweet and meant to be. Elliot is lovably clueless about some things but he’s an amazing dad. Joey is the babysitter we’ve always wanted and I think he has a bit of magic in him. I loved Joey’s BFF and I’m curious about Elliot’s. This story is full of heat, heart, happiness and humor. Plus surprises that will make you want to grab a beer at Finn’s pub and settle in for the story. I can’t wait to visit again.
Gosh I do love this world so much. I find myself wanting to go back and re-read every single Finn story over and over because not only are they sexy as hell, they just have all the feels proving that LOVE IS LOVE in all it’s forms. Joey knows who he is…and he doesn’t hide anything. He’s a shopoholic, nanny wrangler (his words lol) and after a few “relationships”, he knows what he DOESN’T want. Running into Elliot (literally) is the last thing he really needs, but sometimes, the heart wants what it wants. Elliot doesn’t really know what he wants, all he knows is he doesn’t want drama. His feelings when it comes to Joey are new and strange and seemingly impossible to reconcile in his life. Both these men will have to dig deep to find the strength to let go of past perceptions to find their HEA.
This has to be my favorite of the “non” Finn family books. Joey is completely adorable and would make him my bestie in a heartbeat. Then throw in a literal curve ball and in comes Elliott aka yum and I could see the sparks flying off the pages of this book.
