Sneaking out of the palace wasn’t one of Aniri’s best ideas. But she’s the Third Daughter of the Queen of Dharia—zero responsibilities and zero royal duties. She’s just the backup daughter, in case her older sisters’ arranged marriages—to take the crown or broker an alliance—don’t quite work out. But once Aniri reaches her 18th birthday, she’ll be truly free… and then she can marry the charming … charming fencing instructor she meets for fevered kisses in the forest.
But then the impossible happens—a marriage proposal. From a barbarian prince in the north, no less. And if Aniri refuses, the threat of their new flying weapon might bring war.
So she agrees to the young prince’s proposal, but only as a subterfuge to spy on him, find the weapon, and hopefully avoid both war and an arranged marriage to a man she doesn’t love. But once she arrives in the sweeping mountains of the north, she discovers the prince has his own secrets… and saving her country may end up breaking her heart.
This Bollywood-style royal romance takes you to an alternate East Indian world filled with skyships, saber duels, and lots of royal intrigue.
THIRD DAUGHTER is the first book in the Royals of Dharia trilogy.

I enjoyed reading Third Daughter – The Royals of Dharia by Susan Kaye Quinn. The story plot was original, unpredictable, and enjoyable. The characters were well developed and likable. I recommend this book.
typical romance, different brain candy, quick read and still entertaining
Liked the adventure of it.
I enjoyed this book and would read the follow ups if they become available.
I enjoyed this creative fantasy where a spunky princess explores a new kingdom with a heroic prince by her side. A good get-away read.
Want to read the next book in the sequel.
Fanciful, entertaining.
Enjoyed this story. The storyline was a bit refreshing.
I wanted the story completed in my mind…can not wait to get the second book!
This was very entertaining. I thought I was not really going to enjoy this book and I really enjoyed it. I would recommend this book
Worth a read.
Absolutely delightful!! I couldn’t put it down.
I liked this book (which was a free book) so much I bought the Second Daughter yesterday and stayed up half the night reading. Susan Quinn has a very active imagination. The scenes are so vividly colored, described in such detail you can hear the sounds and smell the flowers. The relationships between the characters are well developed and you get very attached to the characters. Will be ordering the First Daughter soon,
Too me a bit to get into it, but once I knew the characters and world I loved it!
Easy reading with inventive technology for a past and futuristic plot. I want to read the next books in the series now
It was okay. I had a hard time getting engaged so I read the last few chapters to see how it ended.
A fantasy – in a way predictable, at the same time unexpected. Of course, the good guys always win out over the evil ones. 🙂
This is geared more towards teens then adult.
Liked the book gave it a 3 star because the next two books continues the main character’s storyline and I wanted to have stories about other characters. This story could have been a stand alone and I would have been happy.
Very well written
