Sneaking out of the palace wasn’t one of Aniri’s best ideas. But she’s the Third Daughter of the Queen of Dharia—zero responsibilities and zero royal duties. She’s just the backup daughter, in case her older sisters’ arranged marriages—to take the crown or broker an alliance—don’t quite work out. But once Aniri reaches her 18th birthday, she’ll be truly free… and then she can marry the charming … charming fencing instructor she meets for fevered kisses in the forest.
But then the impossible happens—a marriage proposal. From a barbarian prince in the north, no less. And if Aniri refuses, the threat of their new flying weapon might bring war.
So she agrees to the young prince’s proposal, but only as a subterfuge to spy on him, find the weapon, and hopefully avoid both war and an arranged marriage to a man she doesn’t love. But once she arrives in the sweeping mountains of the north, she discovers the prince has his own secrets… and saving her country may end up breaking her heart.
This Bollywood-style royal romance takes you to an alternate East Indian world filled with skyships, saber duels, and lots of royal intrigue.
THIRD DAUGHTER is the first book in the Royals of Dharia trilogy.

I like this book, it did start out a little slow for me, but once it got through all the little things about Aniri and her mother the Queen it was quite the page turner.
The word building was not what I hoped for. The characters had some depth, but were a little predictable. I enjoyed the book, but not enough to read the next one.
Entertaining imaginative book set in an imaginary land. Fun book but be warned the story continues into the next book, which is why I give it 4 stars.
I really enjoyed the life and world of the 3rd daughter.
I liked this book!
I loved this semi-fantasy. Very entertaining.
I loved the exotic setting. So unusual yet beautiful. Fascinating.
Great premise: steampunk Bollywood YA fantasy romance. Poor execution: the heroine needed far too much rescuing from her stupid ideas, was incredibly naive and uninformed for being a princess, and the Indian elements were whitewashed (as has been mentioned in other reviews). And the 3rd point of the love triangle annoyed the daylights out of me, I wanted to ask her what the heck she was thinking falling in love with this dude. And the bodyguard? Wow, incredible disrespect from a supposedly elite guard. Very unprofessional.
Highly enjoyable read. The characters become more interesting and uniquely defined chapter by chapter. The three cultures depicted are also unique and very interesting. The mix of individuals, their home cultures and the politics within their home cultures and between the three states is artfully woven together. I look forward to reading the following novels.
Fantastic read. Fast read couldn’t put it down.
Really liked it
The only reason I did not rate this book 5 stars is that at one point in beginning of their getting to know each other there was a statement that could of sent the story in a whole different direction. He said that he always dreamed that his mate (wife) would have a skill that she had and she just passed up the opportunity to pass on that she was skilled in that area. I don’t know why that mattered but it did. I don’t want to give the story away.
Didn’t finish it. Not too interesting or engaging.
I found myself reading this book at every opportunity. I was pleasantly surprised with the twists in the story. Looking forward to reading the next book.
Very intriguing could not put it down

Perfect blend of sci-fi and fantasy!!!!! Interesting characters and original well developed plot!
This was a good read. I got really engrossed. I like alternative realities and strong female characters and twists in plots.
