This is my first book by Author Stephanie Rose and I wanted to take a second and say THANK YOU,for this beautiful read “Think Twice”! OMG YA’LL…. “THIS BOOK” words currently escape me but I will say THIS….
MUCH LOVE for this story… these 2 stories…. I am SOOO IN LOVE with Dylan and Patricia as well as Jack and Danielle…. I laughed…. and cried. ..and fell head over heels for these characters….
The struggle to find yourself in the midst of life challenges and turmoil, a forbidden love that flourishes with age … fighting to ensure your happiness is yours for the taking..
THANK YOU STEPHANIE for making my MY SOAR
Love Times Two!
Think Twice is an intricate, intelligent, and stirring romance that affirms the power of love. Ms. Rose introduces us to four dynamic characters. Two of the main characters are siblings and this is a thread that helps to bond the fabric of this story together. Each sibling is at a crossroads in their life. Though they are each battling quite different fears.
Patricia “PJ” is feisty and loyal. She is a skilled artist and loving daughter, sister. And friend. The twist here is that she in love with her older brother’s best friend, Dylan. Dylan is honorable, hard working, and mindful. He is also 8 years older than PJ and not nearly as immune to their chemistry as she thinks. Dylan and PJ finally give into their feelings during a passionate and emotional encounter. Theirs is a tender, yet undeniable love. The age gap is an issue that they must navigate carefully for the sake of their families. Will love tear their family apart or is it strong enough to sustain their bond?
Jack is a wounded man. Both physically and emotionally. He is a firefighter that has suffered injures on the job. To add insult to injury, his longtime girlfriend broke up with him. If he can’t overcome his physical injury, he may not be able to return to the career he loves. He is prepared to endure grueling physical therapy, if it means he can get back on the job. Enter, Danielle, his intense and beautiful physical therapist. She is empathetic, supportive, and disciplined. She also happens to be an old family friend. The compassion and camaraderie between them is instant. As their friendship grows, it ignites a spark of heat. Both Jack and Danielle have been burned by love in the past. Jack immerses himself in their connection where Danielle tries to resist. When vulnerabilities from the past cause a miscommunication, both parties are left hurt and confused. Can they look past that hurt and trust in the healing power of love or will doubt engulf them?
Think Twice contains two beautiful love stories, seamlessly woven into one fantastic read. I laughed, swooned, and cried. These characters will captivate your senses and make you feel all the feels.
First things first, THIS COVER is breathtaking! When Stephanie Rose gave me a glimpse of Jack in the Begin Again Anthology, I was hopeful I would get more of him again. What I wasn’t expecting and really enjoyed was that were two love stories woven in the pages of Think Twice! It was a recipe for double the drama and double the romance. And siblings Jack and Paige delivered.
It took me a hot minute to warm up to Jack but once he started to let go of his anger, that was based in fear, his true colors started to show. Can you say sweet? How about swoony? His grit towards his recovery proved his will. And his thoughtfulness towards Danielle showed his softer side. I liked Danielle. A lot. She was smart and savvy and sensitive but still strong. And not afraid to put Jack in his place, she was in charge after all. It was an achingly sweet slow burn between these two. And Dani was putting a lot on the line for a chance at maybe.
There was a bit of pot meet kettle when Jack learned what was going on with his younger sister Paige while he was working on his recovery. It was friends younger sister squared with him and Danielle and PJ and Dylan. Holy hotness Dylan! I loved how fiercely he defended PJ and how he always put her needs above his. Even sacrificed friendships to do what was right for her. But PJ was wise beyond her years. She always knew what and who she wanted and when the chance for a future with Dylan presented itself, she wasn’t going to throw it away.
If it seems like there is a lot happening, there is. Stephanie Rose blended the two stories seamlessly into each other. Think Twice gave me a bit of the forbidden and a whole lot of sexy sweetness. Both Jack and Danielle and Paige and Dylan prove that love is always worth the risk.
This book is so unique with its dual story line! Jack and Dani are both damaged and will have you gasping, swooning, and holding back tears. Dylan and PJ shouldn’t fit together but they just do and you’ll be rooting for them even harder. I loved how seamlessly the two stories intertwined but also held their own. Everything about these characters and their stories will have you flipping pages. Stephanie Rose has proven, yet again, just how talented a writer she is!
I received this book as an ARC in return for my honest review.
This was two great love stories. I loved the multiple POVs the love story between Jack and Danielle was so sweet and passionate. Dylan is Jacks best friend and he falls in love with PJ Jacks sister. I liked this love story I did feel it was a little forced but I still enjoyed the story as a whole. I listen to the audio version of this. I would recommend. The narration was spot on
I received this from the author for an honest review
Think Twice
By: Stephanie Rose
Narrated by: Samantha Cook, Brandon Utah
Two couples, two stories, and so much enjoyment I couldn’t stop listening! Give me a Stephanie Rose book and I know I am in for hours of uninterrupted(if you know what is good for you) entertainment. Let’s start with Dylan and Patricia(PJ). First, hearing Brandon Utah say my name over and over is just amazing. This forbidden couple is so much fun to get to know. PJ is Dylan’s best friend, Jack’s sister. Not the only issue this couple has to overcome, but we get to take their ride. Then Jack, who is an injured firefighter finds out his physical therapist is Dani, his friend Kyle’s sister. Burned before, Dani hesitates to react to her attraction to Jack, but he is persistent. These two couples will intrigue you, keep you guessing, make your heart break and then sing! It’s writing at it’s best. Stephanie Rose has done it again, giving me one of my top listens of the year.
Two narrators for two couples can be a challenge, but Samantha Cook and Brandon Utah rise to the challenge. With dual points of view for each couple, this duo gives individual voices to each. Cook is perfect for these roles with her expressive voice. The women are strong, yet vulnerable and she is so good at portraying each. Brandon Utah is a new voice for me, and he nails the men. Jack has that anger and frustration necessary for his character, and then a sweetness in Dylan that melts my heart. Amazing team for this amazing book.

Two great love stories! PJ has has loved Dylan, her brother’s best friend, for a very long time. She is determined to move on because she doesn’t believe he feels the same.
Jack has been injured and begins to have feelings for his physical therapist, Dani. Both are sort of forbidden romances. Fortunately Dylan does feel the same, but PJ has just turned eighteen. They begin a secret relationship that puts intense strain on them both. Dani has been betrayed in the worst way. She has feelings for Jack, but is concerned that his feelings are not true, due to the patient/caregiver relationship. Both couples face obstacles, but I loved that I could feel their conflicting emotions, the love, the fear, and finally their happiness. It is hard to put two couples into one book and not get confused or feel like they are just repeats of each other. The author balanced this very well and I was always clear on what was happening to whom. I was completely invested in both couples and their happy ending. Great read!
It’s been a while since I’ve read a book by Stephanie Rose. The characters and their lives are about as real as you can get. And in Think Twice you get two intersecting stories. PJ and Dylan and Jack snd Danielle. PJ is Jack’s younger sister and Dylan is Jack’s best friend. There are some blurred lines of age gap and professional/patient relationships but both relationships are undeniable.
I received this book as a gift from an author Autumn Grey()! I loved it! I hadn’t read anything by Stephanie Rose, but I will be reading more now! I don’t think I’ve read a book giving us two complete stories in one. PJ and Jack are siblings. She falls in love with Jacks best friend. Jack falls for his therapist after a horrible accident on the job. I loved that both stories were going on at the same time. I loved that PJ stuck to her guns, and I loved that Dani was willing to kick Jack in to shape. This made me a fan!
I loved this book. I loved how both story lines were weaved together. It was great seeing Ellie and Nick also. I just wish I hadn’t read it so fast. I love Stephanie’s writing!
This was such a wonderful story about 2 siblings who fall in love at the same time when they didn’t think it was possible. PJ, Nick and Ellie’s daughter, is all grown up and turning 18 years old. She’s an artist who plans to move across the country to study art even though she doesn’t want to leave her family. Jack, Ellie’s son and Nick stepson, is a firefighter (taking after Nick) who has been injured in the line of duty. He is struggling to overcome his injuries so that he can go back to his work. Jack’s family takes him to a rehab facility so that they can work with him on his injuries.
Jack finds out his therapist is the little sister of own of his childhood friends and she’s also a tough therapist. Danielle is hiding from her personal life because she doesn’t trust herself after what she found out about her ex-husband. These 2 individuals are drawn to each other even though they don’t want to deal with their own personal fears about where their lives are headed. However, their nightly “vending machine” dates lets them talk to each other besides Jack’s rehab progress. They develop feelings for each other but Jack is not sure what he can offer Danielle and Danielle is afraid to take a risk in case she gets hurt.
Patricia Jane, aka PJ, has had a secret crush on Jack’s best friend Dylan for quite a while. She even opened up to Dylan about her feelings for him and that’s when he became distant. Dylan is 8 years older than PJ and of course she wasn’t legal yet when she opened up about her feelings. Plus the fact that Dylan is almost family makes it all the more difficult. However, when PJ was out with her friends for her 18th birthday, Dylan just loses it and tells her he has had feelings for her too but couldn’t act on them. The 2 pursue their relationship in secret because they were afraid of what PJ’s parents’ reactions would be. They also wanted time to themselves to savor their new found love. However, things explode when Nick and Ellie finds out and no one knows how to resolve the multitude of feelings going around. Dylan knows that PJ is it for him but doesn’t want to hold her back from experiencing all the things in life. Dylan decides to talk to Nick about his feelings for PJ and hope that Nick understands that Dylan does truly love her.
These 2 love stories are different but equally romantic and heartwarming. It looks like the siblings have found love and know they will achieve what they set out to do with their lives! I have loved Nick and Ellie from After You and it’s great to read about their children finding love and getting updates on Ellie and Nick!
Think Twice is a nicely written novel about two couples who fall in love. It’s a best friend, little sister troupe, and I enjoyed it. Jack was friends with Danielle’s brother, but it’s been years since they saw eachother. Both are dealing with their own problems, but they can’t deny this attraction they have towards eachother. PJ is Jack’s little sister, and Dylan is his best friend, and part of this family. He knows it’s wrong but he can’t deny his feeling anymore. I liked how these stories played out. I had no issue with following them. Great read.
Talk about a book hangover!! I read this book in a day and loved every minute of it.
Here we have Jack Jr and PJ who if you’ve read Stephanie’s previous books, you would know them. Now they are grown up and we get their stories
Jack is injured on the job and has to have physical therapy. The person who ends up being his therapist is Danielle from his childhood. She’s the sister of one of his friends. The both of them are exactly what the other needed. Jack was dealing with insecurities dealing with his breakup and injury at the same time. Dani closed herself off because of her past relationship. Imagine the shock when she learns who her patient is..her former childhood crush. I loved their building friendship and how they were there for each other..
Let’s go to PJ…oh wow!! She’s Jack’s younger sister who just turned 18. She’s been in love with Dylan who happens to be Jack’s best friend, for forever. The only thing in their way is a little age difference.. I loved Dylan and how passionate he was about his relationship with her. Regardless of the age difference, I love how much he respected her and her dreams.
Jack and Dani as well as Dylan and PJ we’re a breath of fresh air. Through all their issues, we see beautiful relationships forming and I love the family being involved too. It was great seeing Nick and Ellie and a little sneak peak at Evan and even Dylan’s mom. This book had everything. If you haven’t read any of Stephanie’s books, I recommend them all.
Great story. Loved reading what felt like two books in one. The characters were easy to connect with and both couples stories were easy to follow.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.
This is one of my favorite kind of reads. A brother’s best friend book. Plus there is an age difference. Bu t don’t let that bother you. I adored this story and I will go ahead and tell you that it revolves around four people. It is told for their points of view. However it is not confusing or hard to keep up with. I really went into this book blind and was so surprised at what I got .Even if you ahve read the description your sill not getting what you think you mgiht be. Your getting so much more. This story will hvae you swooning, your heart melting, and of course it is sexy. You are after all getting twolove stories inone.THis is a book that romance readers need to read. I feel like there is something for everyone in this book. Go Grab It!!! SIt back now and enjoy the ride.
I was a little hesitant about the 4 POV thing, but boy was I in awe of these 2 couples! what an emotional ride!! from forbidden love to being scared of opening yourself up again, Miss Rose gives us an emotional ride that is so beautiful that will leave you swooning at the end of the journey. I loved revisiting Jack and his story because I’ve liked him since the beginning and adding his sister’s story was just an amazing bonus! perfection at its best!.
This is a wonderful story with not one, but two love stories to touch your heart and soul. Two couples navigating their way through troubled waters to love. I loved it!
I received a free copy of this book however all thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.
I loved this! It grabbed me from the first page, kept me til the last and enthralled me in between. Well worth your time to read it.
5 Twice the Romance Stars!!!
It’s no secret I’m a huge fan of all of Ms. Rose’s books and the minute I heard about this book I was so excited and ready to read it!! We’re treated to two different romances in this book which is so much fun! We’ve got Dylan and PJ and Jack and Danielle. PJ and Jack are brother and sister, Dylan is Jack’s best friend and Danielle is the little sister of one of Jack’s long time friend…sounds like it could get complicated doesn’t it? But I can assure you, Ms. Rose does an exceptional job of keeping each couple’s story arc clean and concise and there was never a moment that I wasn’t following along.
I loved how the stories intertwined and these characters are so easy to love! There’s definitely some angst in this story along with some times that I wondered if love really can conquer all. I loved how all the characters and their stories intertwined.
Jack and Danielle have known each other for a while, but lost touch several years ago. When Danielle becomes his therapist helping him recover from an injury. She has the patience of a saint that’s for sure. Watching their feelings grow and see how Jack embraces the work he needs to do to get back to where he wants to be was at times a little difficult. But the love he begins to feel for this beautiful woman was a true joy to watch blossom.
The other story arc is Dylan and PJ. She’s his best friend’s little sister and to say they have it hard is putting it mildly. There are some definite hurdles they need to jump. Having said that, the love they have for each other is definite and unending and once they make the decision to see where their love takes them, they’re in it and won’t let anyone stand in their way.
There isn’t anything about this book I didn’t like. I laughed and swooned and fanned myself from the first page to the last!!
